particularly notable uh I am intrigued by this one because I think Indiana needs this game they need this game for narrative purposes they need this game for Vibes Nebraska also in a somewhat back against the- wall spot here after after their blowout loss at Michigan State they don’t want to start Big 10 play 0 and2 so I’m intrigued given Fred hyberg and who he is and what he’s done to opposing post players in the past that’s sort of going to be the story here Indiana a team that’s very much built inside out on the road against a Nebraska team that’s pretty well fit to stop teams that are built from inside out should be a competitive game what are you thinking about this one yeah it’s a game where I think you’re going to get you’re going to see you’re going to see a good from both teams because obviously after the battle for Atlanta’s debacle that Indiana has had they have like I think you rightfully pointed out they’ve handled business right like they they went at home before the battle for Atlantis against a good uh or not a good but not a cupcake South Carolina team and they have some blowout victories after Atlantis um that had them feeling good then they beat Minnesota at home by like 15 guards don’t play well but they win the game by 15 you can tell a lot about a team though with how play on the road and especially in Big 10 play and like you stated going to Nebraska playing at Nebraska we have seen great teams go into the bank into Pinnacle and crumble right like it happens like good teams go in there and they just don’t necessarily play all that well and and now you’re playing a Nebraska team that was absolutely paned and embarrassed at the hands of Michigan State and now they’re going to get back home and regroup and game plan and you know uh hyberg is going to have you know he’s definitely gonna have something for like the BOS and the renews of the world to make them make their lives a little bit difficult so this is a very it’s it’s this is going this is a sneaky really good game you know what I’m saying like I think you see Indiana at Nebraska and you kind of shrug it off uh this is one that I’m going to be tuned into just for the fact that I think you’re GNA find out something uh especially with me with Indiana because I I I’ve just refused to get back in or give them credit for anything if they go on the road and win at Nebraska I will be the first person to say that is actually an impressive win even though it doesn’t seem impressive on the surface because it’s Nebraska okay so gonna go down to Rabbit Hole here with you I know you love your rabbit holes uh so there are I think two different paths here where I want you to help me figure out which one is more likely to be real here um I feel like these early season pivotal games we talk about right pivotal early season game where we’re going to learn something you and I agree that’s what this is we’re going to learn something from the output of this game about I think both sides but maybe more importantly Indiana um there’s games where that’s true and we are going to learn something in a oh this team has something way or like oh this team like whoever comes out Victor is here is like a team we shouldn’t sleep on like there is some good stuff it’s impressive and then the flip of it is this is a game we’re going to learn something in a sense where like whoever loses this one uh oh my gut tells me that this is the first hashtag fraud finder Big 10 game of the year oh I think this ish fraud fraud finder Game of the Year can we coin hash fraud finder I think this is the fraud finder game of the year right now and now there will be other fraud finder games don’t get me wrong this is an 18 team conference it’s a big 10 last year we called it the schmedium 10 this year I think it’s big enough you have to call it the Big 10 but there’s a whole lot of teams in the middle of the pack like by the end of the season cart it’s kind of like uh you know like you can do The Eliminator like Survivor pools every single week I feel like we can cross off certain Big 10 teams that we know don’t have it in the sense that they’re not going to compete for a championship this year I’m not saying I don’t think anybody expects Nebraska to compete for a championship Indiana I don’t know what the expectation is right now anymore but I’d be willing to write off Indiana if they lose this game based on what I’ve seen from Nebraska now maybe that’s not fair Nebraska is a tough place to play Nebraska stomped kraton by basically taking Ryan caul brener out of the game they just got so paned so destroyed by Michigan State a week ago that I just I I have a hard time believing this is going to be an overly competitive basketball team and to me it’s kind of like we’re going to learn is Indiana a one- trick pony or not if all that Indiana has is overpowering you at The Rim Nebraska’s probably gonna win this game because Nebraska is good at preventing that taking that away but if miles rice shows up if Indiana’s perimeter options actually are real I if they have more answers if Mike Woodson can pivot a little bit Indiana should win this game and win it comfortably in my opinion they’re the much more talented basketball team so that’s why I land on this it’s a fraud finder game if Nebraska loses this game at home we don’t got to worry about Pinnacle being such a tough place to play this year if Indiana loses this game we can write them off that’s not a team we got to take Serious in Big Time play writing off Indiana by December 15th is something I had on my bingo card coming into yeah it was December 15th on the dot um ready for it yeah I been I I had been ready for it but yeah you you do the paper game though like if miles rice shows up they win this basketball game I think think so I think so because I I I I count on renew doing what he does I count on Balo I count on imbak I think if miles rice shows up they win maybe do you have any confidence he’s going to show up uh no so here the here’s the two scary reasons for Indiana um number one Nebraska great turnover forcing team that’s what they did uh I believe they forced a bunch against kraton let me double check that but my eye test told me they forced a bunch yeah kraton had 17 turnovers Stephen Ashworth had seven turnovers in that game how did that basketball team beat Kate Stephen Ashworth had seven turnovers for starters a huge part of it and they took cul out of the game still but that IND Nebraska’s really good at turning teams over guess what Indiana turns it over a lot so you could see like if this does go south to me it’s going to be the guards flipping the ball and uh Nebraska capitalizing and then the second thing this is like Unstoppable Force meets immovable object Nebraska lets more three-point attempts happen game to game than any other team in the Big 10 they’re three-point def they want teams to take threes they literally have a whole defense designed around begging teams to shoot threes against them Indiana won’t shoot threes only 29% of their attempts come from three that’s 350th in the country now I’ve talked about a card I’m buying that this Indiana team can actually make threes they’re making 36% on the season but if you try to play Nebraska without being willing to shoot from outside you probably lose the game because they they take away the rim really well that’s what they do so what do you think happens with the the outside shooting for Indiana in this game are they going to end up taking more threes because they have to and will it go well or are they gonna be stubborn um you know what I I think it’s a game where they they’ll take threes and they’ll make threes early on I think that’s going to help them win this game I think Indiana does win this basketball game for what it’s worth really yeah talk me through it should we just get to the prediction portion of this yeah I’d like to okay do it the game of basketball has given me so so much it truly has um and one of the things it’s given me is Clarity and sometimes that Clarity comes in the form of I want to back the better basketball players against a team of Nebraska that I saw against Michigan State that I think is amongst one of the worst in the Big 10 um I understand they were on the road I understand that they won against kraton that’s all that’s all good and well I that might just be an anomaly for the whole season and I just don’t think that the Nebraska team is all that good I understand the points about what they do well that might might deter what Indiana wants to do but I foresee a a really good miles Rice game um that leads them to a victory yeah um so I I hope that happens you’re laugh that’s it I hope that happens I hope it happens I do I want Indiana to be relevant in this conference mostly because I picked them to win this conference by four games and it’s been so far from the truth um I mean you you should be a Nebraska expert based on what Michigan state did to them a week ago right like does Nebraska have anything Bryce Williams is really good Bryce Williams is good Bryce Williams is good um bur is good but he’s I think he’s hurt he’s a little hindered right now that’s not good I mean Conor ean’s been one of their best perimeter options and against you guys he had one point on two shot attempts Adam in hell can Indiana replicate that or no um I I think if you do take a season away they got nothing I think they can because okay actually and that’s how we get to this point where I don’t feel good about it because you just said what do they need what does Indiana need to do to to render Nebraska kind of as nothing um take away take away a Sean take away a seun yeah does Mike Woodson know that I don’t know if Mike Woodson knows anything well that’s there we go I’m back to Nebraska now yeah I don’t know I’m really iffy on it let’s uh I guess we’ll just get to my don’t expect a close game uh the matchup favors Nebraska massively to me I think Indiana massively yeah I I think Indiana’s gon to be extremely stubborn when have they not been stubborn like they Indiana basketball being stubborn is very synonymous with each other Indiana basketball is a one-trick pony and I think part of why like I’ve talked about this with Michigan State why did Michigan State have so much success against Nebraska because they’re not a one trip Pony they have 10 different things that any given night could be the first option Indiana knows exactly what they want to do they want to get to the rim repeatedly they want to take mid-range twos they don’t want to shoot threes and they turn it over a lot that’s that’s a dream matchup for Nebraska Nebraska will turn you over will not let you get easy shots at the rim and begs you to shoot threes begging a Mike Woodson team to shoot I don’t think they’re gonna shoot like I that’s just not what they want to do so uh to me pretty obvious bounceback spot for Nebraska as well with a week to prepare at home and uh I don’t know that it’s a sell High spot for Indiana but they’ve won four games against really bad opponents
