Hello everybody welcome back to for f I hope you guys are doing well Storm B has uh sweeped its way through the country with heavy rains and high winds uh this weekend I I really question where they get some of these names for like different storms what type of name is Storm B for one but uh that’s apparently the thing and uh with it it took out three games in Le two in the process but what we can talk about is eight others not really much going on if if we’re gonna be perfectly honest I mean there’s wins for um for more com in there um W won again uh Colchester won a game against well you can figure that one out and um yeah swind in the headlines of course they are once again um in which we’ll be talking about them a little bit more uh in this episode I’m not alone though we are joined by Luke and Jake both of their uh club’s games not going ahead yesterday called off for uh being called off uh because of storm Bert it just reminds me like beefy BT from horid Henry for some reason I know it’s really weird but that’s the first thing it’s just came to a mind where I saw the name but a stressfree weekend for both of you how are we yeah doing all right been a bit quiet really um with our game getting cool off despite ones in the National League about 13 miles away still being on that’s fun yeah quiet your game good honestly it’s always good to have a weekend when it’s not ruined by the football so no complaints from me yours are pretty late Co off wasn’t it J yeah it was about half one I think Bramley and their fans had already arrived so not the best timing but I’m sure be on a Tuesday night now so that’s great yeah I mean what what’s not to love I like the gesture that that sford are doing for the traveling BR fans I thought that was a a really nice touch I know that you in particular L wasn’t fond of a of Fleetwood when the news was first announced I think it will say to say the least but we’ll keep we’ll keep that quiet because um we don’t want to really annoy any Fleetwood fans that listen to this um because we quite like our audience right let’s crack on then um again not not really much to talk about in terms of quality and and really games you know not really a hell of a lot of goals to talk about I think there’s only one place we do need to start don’t we I think me and Luke pointed this out last week as an absolutely huge game at the bottom uh I think even for this stage of this of the season of course swinden uh struggling for form struggling for points um you know even under the guidance of um Ian hway um in which he’s coming um still yet to get his first League win in charge and the way goes on uh haunted of course uh by uh by moram winning by three goals to to two more Moran taking taking a a two- goal lead in like the first 15 minutes or so Swindon did well to clor it back but undone uh with about 10 minutes to go through a familiar face in halam hope I mean uh I think first thing to say I think look I think we’ve already mentioned how significant this game is for both sides moram have got on the right end of it and they’ve gone and picked up three points three goals on the road um I can really see this as a huge win oh yeah no this is like absolutely huge uh for moram I I almost feel like they felt bad after taking a two-nil lead they saw the uh set piece defending from Swindon and thought you know what we’ll go make the exact same mistakes and not Mark our men either but you know in in the end they’ they’ve managed to claw away and get get get the victory it’s you know they took their chances when they came because I mean this is a horrible game for the XG Merchants I don’t think he team reached an next year of one and there’s been five goals in the game so that doesn’t add up but Morcom they did take their chances when they came even if they weren’t necessarily the best quality chances and they’ve come away with three points on the road they can’t complain too much with that really no of course I mean any win away from home is uh is fantastic I think for any sort I think for where they are I think for you know to go to to swind in and claim three points there which is sort of well I think they’re now level on points I believe I saw um you know is huge for them um I think I’ve mentioned a few times how they’ve I think they’ve been unlucky in a few games probably not had the rub of the green maybe I mean there’s been times in which they’ve been terrible as well but I think I do think they probably should have had more points than what they have done and um yeah there’s I don’t really know what more you want me to say they needed to win this one against let’s be honest a relegation rival and and they’ve gone and done just that’ll bit you know had difficult moments in the game you know being being Peg backed you know to 2 two when they’ll tune it look pretty early on um but they’ve just found a way and um and and and that and that’s what you need to do you just need to just keep picking up as as many wins as you can because as sure as hell you know there’s not going to be you know there’s going to be teams in which they’re not going to respond you know at times and that brings uh pretty nicely on to swinden we sound like we sound like a broken record with swinden um just it’s frustrating for them um I was reading a lot of what their fans were saying last night and um I really can’t help but feel for them I think for for what for what they are at the it’s been a couple of years of decline now and the fact that I think I saw they pretty much joint bottom of of Lee to for a club like swinden should never be the case um we can blame players you know they’ve been they’ve not they’ve not been good enough we could blame the managers um obviously Mark Kennedy been there gone you know terrible appointment um Ian Holloway I’m still I still think it’s a terrible appointment um as maybe you know he’s maybe got character but at the minute he just sounds like more of a sound bik then um actually come there for his um you know for the sake of the team it just feels like it’s more for his own gain after being out out of football for so long that’s what I feel like at the minute but we all know their biggest issue was the club and the ownership up there um I I was having a think yesterday I was having a think um I think yesterday has made it I think Clara who I think the two the two will go down and if you say to me who I can definitely see going down at the minute it’s swinden they I don’t know where you be begin with them from top to bottom the club is rotten absolutely rotten and you know for a game as big as that yesterday um I’ve heard there was a lot of really poor performances and um they’ve not covered himself in glory at all as I say joint bottom I think just to two wins all season um but the fact of the matter is if they don’t in picked up pretty quickly you know they’ll they will find the joint bottom at the minute but in terms of actually looking at it from a lead TBL perspective they will cooky find themselves bottom if they don’t really invest in Jing which I can’t really see to be honest they’ll be down they will be down because um they just look um a mess and I and I’ve seen we’ve seen it before with clubs I think I mean look Mor are not well-run by any means and we’ve seen the protest that where they’ve had in the last few weeks but swinden um it just feels I I I I saw I saw or I read an article someone say terminal it’s not I don’t even think it’s open heart you know I don’t think it’s like open heart surgery anymore I just think they’re on life support at the minute probably not as bad as me you know financially there but unless there’s a takeover there’s only one way they’re going and that’s downwards that’s reflecting on the pitch and that’s just reflecting everywhere at the club it’s just a state yeah I totally agree they’ve won two of their first 17 games and I don’t actually see who they win against because they’ve struggled against pretty much everyone they’ve played against and like you said in January they need investment but if you’re a player would you sign for Swindon you’ve got a manager that’s got a contract at the end of the season so he probably won’t be there you’ve got an ownership that has failed to pay plays allegedly on time it just looks like it’s going in One Direction which is downward so I don’t know why you would sign there which has got to be their biggest concern yeah of course I mean look as good as big as a name I think if we probably look at it on the names perspective Ian Hollow is one of the big biggest names in League two you know for his past career but there’s a clear reason why he’s been out the game for four years a clear reason and no one wanted to talk I just feel that he’s in it for his own personal game I’m not sure if he really cares if I’m gonna be quite honest I think the whole thing about you know the whole ghost thing I think probably but I mean it’s quick he’s come up with that sort of stuff quicker than even I thought would because I saw it firstand at time I saw it what he was doing there and it’s also worth pointing out they’ve lost to Moran they’ve also lost to carile who were below them that’s as well it’s not a good look it’s not a good look and you know a couple of wins from you know those two I mean carile have you know picked up a few points recently albeit they’ve not really won you know they’ve had a couple of draws and a good win at offord but you know that they’re starting to get some points at least moram have proved that they can get results somewhat um I just don’t see that same determination with Swindon I’m gonna be perfectly honest yeah I mean there’s that yeah there’s just no signs of life anymore it’s it’s like it’s like well it’s like with Carl how I was talking about oh yeah they they just look dead in the water but now there’s you know they’re suddenly showing signs that things might improve I’m not seeing improvements with with Swindon it’s just the same the same basic mistakes on the pitch like like earlier I was alluding to uh their poor marking with set pieces which which has cost them two goals immediately within 15 minutes that’s and then the third one again disorganized defense out of line easy through ball and I mean they’re just as disorganized on the pitch as they are off of it there’s there’s no there’s there’s just nothing to them there’s nothing to them anymore and if say for example I’m like a Will Wright or someone like that I I wouldn’t necessarily just be worried about you know bringing players in I’d be worried about keeping the ones they’ve got because I mean it could easily be Max mass exus of anyone that’s actually any good yeah I can’t really argue too much that you mentioned set pieces as well you know the first two goals from you know set pieces we we said it last week in the uh in the two two draw to aington their two goals that they’ve conceded set pieces again it’s clear to see there’s a weakness on that part in terms of the football side of it but I mean l Hall’s not been in a job long you um but I think I think even he has admitted at times that he doesn’t know League two very well and I think that’s really telling and it’s not it’s not a good look I we I don’t think he really said it when he was at Grimsby but you can now see it you can see that he just didn’t know the level at all so we mentioned that if plays are coming maybe coming and going in January you know is he maybe capable of you know trying to sort the squad out I have so many doubts financially I mean financially won’t help either apparently I think something like overspent or something I think he’s said recently it’s concerning and like I said I feel sympathy with the fans you know a lot of less a lot less fans are starting to starting to turn up and can you blame him absolutely not I mean the whole place is broken and um unless something is done um really high up there’s again they’re really going down One path we’ve seen it with many other clubs they are this we know what they they are sort of so to speak and as only so long you can sort of Rift round it before you end up dropping to it and I fear that’s wining at the minute I really do um only wish them all the best I’ve got Colchester next week uh well not well not next week the week a because we got AK in the FA Cup they got Colchester again next week uh again ma massive game for them will be coester one um we’ll ignore that one to a little bit later but you know still somewhat around them and again it’s it’s another big opportunity there for them but we’ll have to see but yeah concerning times it’s winning to to say the least we’ve rambled about them a a little bit but I just really wanted just just to get a few points across because um yeah it’s D it’s D over there in a minute it’s certainly to say the least um Right Moving on um we’ll go to Gillingham they’ve their weird spell is continue is continued they’ve lost two- one at home to uh to Harriet that took the lead in the game in the uh quite early in the second half and um and they and and they threw it away um I don’t really know what’s happening at Gillingham at the minute I make that one win in there last one two three four five six seven I made that one win in their last eight League games I think they I think I’ve seen that they’ve lost six of them yeah they’ plus six of them um it’s certainly not promotion form it’s some it’s certainly what Gillingham are aiming for but at the minute it’s just certainly not promotion for them and with the greatest respect to Harriet as much it’s a brilliant result for them it’s probably a side they probably should be expecting to be and again they haven’t done that at home as well well exactly that I mean biggest problem straight away one shot on target at home against weaker opposition and I think that kind of tells you all you need to know lacking in quality in both boxes and just a general lack of consistency I it’s so wasteful like these are the sort of games that you have to you really just have to put away these are the ones that it’s like okay routine win and then we’ll go and get some trickier wins elsewhere but at the minute they’re not even getting these wins and if you can’t find that level of consistency you will keep finding yourself slipping down the table now clearly they’re too good to end up in any kind of relegation trouble or anything like that that I think that would be ridiculous to be honest but given how close the table is it would be so easy to see them drop down you know to like a what 15th 16th 17th you have to put some kind of run together it wouldn’t take them much to get back up again but you’re doing yourselves no favors by dropping down there in the first place and I think especially with the teams around them as well how somewhat competitive it sort of is around that mid-table part I mean you see teams like Chesterfield who now are up in the playoffs I mean uh Bradford are very capable so we’re AFC won uh arguably us at the minute but we’re very hot and cold but we’re but we’re in and around that ball part the same as where Gillingham are and um you know Barrow are sort of capable even with their di form and even someone like Fleetwood so there’s teams in there that you know if if they don’t if Gillingham don’t pick up points the other one or more of the other teams certainly will um I mean we’ve seen that with the liks of Chesterfield winning yesterday but you know I think probably grateful for the liks that you know we like lost um Wimbledon lost uh raford didn’t play was another one um and bar lost probably you know in that but so you know we we’ve mentioned a lack of quality so many times with Dillingham as well it looked like you know for the start of the Season you know excellent start to season it’s all the wheels have just sort of fallen off pretty quickly and um it’s come as a huge surprise because it was literally not long ago we were literally saying oh oh look at them they look the team to beat this year and you know we said that going into season the amount of money they spent it looked like they’ve um Rectify or sort of address the issues that sort of they did last year which was you know attacking wise you know having a little bit more threat um it has worked to some extent but still not a lot I mean they’ve scored they’ve scored 17 goals I mean I mean looking looking around I mean it’s somewhat I think only two of only a few teams are scored that in them still so I think you know there’s another issue there with maybe go I mean look don’t concede a lot just the 14 that they’ve conceded by no means the worst but I think the same issues have come to effect and you know just not you know being clinical enough one shot on target yesterday uh I think I think says it all but lot take nothing away from harri you know they they’ve come in and they’ve done a job and they’ve and and they’ve hurt them it’s it’s as simple as that but are we getting to the point now in which we’re may be starting to ask maybe one or two questions about Dillingham because I think we are because you know we’ve looked at the first few saying right okay it’s just a little bit of a blimp you know they might be able to get back into it and they probably will quy with a squad but I feel like it’s starting to go on a little bit now in which we can’t really ignore yeah it feels like there’s certainly a lot of pressure on him externally because it’s just not good enough for the squad they have everyone thought the start of the Season they’d be up there they started well and have drifted off again and obviously last season it was similar and then it seemed like they stuck with clim for a little bit too long so I do wonder if they’ll do the same again but it’s tough one because they do need to pick up results soon yeah um look I I think Mark boner will be feeling the pressure and I think rightly so with the money they spent the squad they’ve got um is sacking him the right decision at the minute probably not because you know that he can do it I think the start of the Season proves that they’ve got a good team and they can do it um but it’s just clear just looking at it from the outside on the result results perspective something is just not right and it needs address him pretty quickly otherwise you know they keep losing you know they’re just going to find themselves keep they’re just going to keep dropping it’s as simple as that with the amount of teams that are still picking up points in and around them you know and they’ll be further away from the person it’s simple as that if they don’t get if they don’t finish in the top seven it’s a failure for for Julian it’s an absolute failure and there’s no two ways about it it’s as simple as that but look good win for Harriet um they took the second goal really well it a lovely through ball from do with a lovely finish from March um The Equalizer was a bit Scrappy but you know I don’t think they really care you know I think it was Pro you know back toback wins for for harri and now they beat Chesterfield last week pretty late on um I think we probably have maybe questioned about Harriet maybe a little bit whether if you know they’ve got the same you know qualities that maybe that you know are they are they really going to do much or even or maybe even worse are they actually in the uh the uh some the ball part like the the relation battle um I think these two wins are certainly calm those nerves down but um certainly two good wins there and certainly that one yesterday for them oh yeah absolutely and I mean that winner they’ve scored there I mean I think that shows they’ve got enough qualy to you know Ste themselves clear of any kind of relegation battle I mean it was a fantastic show of uh you know sharpness and precision the very Swift attack and not much jillan could have done about it really I will say on just one negative I’ve always got a negative Miss negative right here coming straight in like no You’ may you may have won but you’re not getting away because you’ve done this wrong exactly they made one mistake so I’m pulling them out on it the marking for for for the the for the jilling goal was poor for from the corner but In fairness haret the to then fight back the the termination and the character and on the road as well worth worth remembering it’s it’s still a good three points so a very nice comeback ultimately they’ve won I don’t think they’ll probably care other than maybe Simon We I don’t think anyone really care too much just G away with three points but yeah pretty good win on the road and I think you know if you’ve got Gillam coming up in the fixture list you know pretty soon it’s probably a really good time to play him because it’s clear that I think confidence is has been shot and you know that they’re certainly beatable you know and it’s not and I don’t think actually it’s taken a great deal for them for teams to beat them if I’m going to be honest so um if you’ve got Gillingham coming up I think teams will certainly fancy their chances I know that um you know they want they want to sford next few League games look just looking at it they’ve got Bromley next um but it could be a good time to play him MK to come shortly after um so maybe a good time to play him who knows um so there’s that one uh W Soul they’re a bit good Nathan Lowe’s a bit good a one-nil win at AFC Wimbledon up to Second they are um another win uh they haven’t lost since um the start of October um they just look really good I don’t really know what more you want me to say just a a a really good team there who uh are full of confidence at the minute and are absolutely flying yes Nathan L’s eighth League goal of the season in eight in 13 games so if they can keep him they have every chance of getting promoted because they look like a really good side but they’ve just got to keep it going and find that consistency throughout the whole season which they’ve stred with recently yeah and I think you know it’s it’s always going to be difficult to to probably do keep do be consistent All Season you it’s very rare that you know it happens and a big part of obviously their team at the minute is naan low if they can keep in for the whole season they’re absolutely laughing um just I think they’re probably sort of hoping that it’s maybe not a Freddy dra scenario like we probably saw with him last year although I think he had a bit of an injury to near enough the end of his time I think he went off against us actually remember in XA I think he picked up the injury against us but um look Draper was good but Nathan low just looks a different level at the minute and you can see why he’s had the OD game for Stoke here and there last season you can probably see that you know he that boy looks ready it’s it’s as simple as that and it’s and his goal it’s a really good move for the goal actually it was really lovely ball uh to find him and he just had the easiest job to to poke home into an empty net but you know he’s got to be there it’s a proper strike it’s a proper Striker goal you know proper strikker Instinct right there just to get on the end of that and um he’s done he’s done just that and uh look W Soul second in the table three points behind uh portv who played tomorrow they’ve got a game in hand over uh portv they’ll have two games in Hand by the end of play tomorrow night um they’re in an unbelievable position at the moment well yeah know they really are and you know I mean this was a very very strong performance the quality of the chances they were making they weren’t generating loads of chances but the ones they were they were making were good quality as as shown by the goal they scored and you know that it just keeps building momentum up and I think I think it’s eight unbeaten across all competitions some something along those lines and I think they’ve got another fa favorable fixture on Tuesday against Bromley I think after that is going to be the real test because that’s when they start facing some of the other top sides and those are the games you really want to win if you’re if you’re planning on potentially becoming the champions of the division yeah I mean I’m just looking it now they’ve got that fa I mean you say they’ve got Brumley in the week they’ve got Charlton in the FA Cup as well but the next two games after that they play Nots County at home and then they go to portail pretty uh you know pretty feisty that one probably with the two sides but you know they they’ll be really telling those games if they are really up to it if they can get you know a few points here and there there’s absolutely no reason why they can’t get top three this year I mean I think I said that I think I didn’t really appre I keep saying it but I didn’t really appreciate them at the time when they came to blundel part when they beat was 4-1 but um The more I’ve sort of looked at it the more I really do they’ve just got a really good team just a really good blending there um AFC rumbled then they sort of a little bit inconsistent of late um you know couple of wins couple of draws couple of beats uh loss win draw loss is there uh last four um three you know without a win in three they’ve lost two of their last three home games um yeah um I mean lost to they lost to Port Vil if if he want to go back a little bit a little bit more with that in that time um yeah I’m just looking at their games just on here just they are capable of just they’re just inconsistent yeah totally agree they just a little bit inconsistent but they have got some favorable fixtures the next three are TR newort and Harriet which you would expect them to get nine out of nine points and if you can do that then they’ll be comfortably in the playoffs SPS looking to hit the automatics which might be a stretch too far but why not go for it yeah I I wouldn’t I wouldn’t say it would be I think it’s very realistic I mean trir not in great form can’t hit a bond door um Newport you know out of form themselves at the minute couple of draws in their last game which they’ve had to dig deep especially their game Nots counting which we’ll touch on in a little bit um and harria you know again they’re a little bit hot and cold um you know they they can play absolutely brilliantly one week and then they or they can just play dreadfully the other so there’s that I mean if we want to maybe look at it a bit further I mean after that you’ve got and then you’ve got uh donc cter and Chesterfield to come out the next two League games after that um you know heading around a Christmas period so uh it gets a little bit tougher but you know I think these next three League games in particular um you know there’s opportunities for points there of course there is and dagam and re just were on the FA Cup I mean they’re certainly going to that as favorites and you know a good chance to get into the third round um in that one so um not the end of the world I do think you know there’s maybe a little few issues to sort out maybe at home at the minute um which has been quite weird to say because they’ve been you know for the start of the Season you know they were very strong at home they had one of the best home records for quite a long period until we went there um but you know recently it’s probably not been great they you know they could have easily have lost to aington as well so that would have been free straight home defeats there in about but you know wara really strong side at the minute and they play certainly playing with a hell of a lot of confidence and they they’re certainly going to take some beating um as well maybe yeah I don’t think it’s completely the end of the world for Wimbledon they’ve got good plays that can hurt you um you know they’ve got some quality about them um certainly yeah certainly not L and I’ve got I’ve got a fair few games in hand as well not certainly not a time to hit Panic buttons I think it’s probably say to say the least um we’ve mentioned a little bit about um ASC wimbledon’s sort of recent home form that brings us on to us um yeah um uh a one- nil victory for um coester United it’s their first victory since midt it’s their first away win since you know April I think I saw and of course we were the guys to you know kindly hand over the points to them um look I was at the game yesterday um the condition certainly played its part you know heavy rigns you know high wind um the pitch was very heavy I think I think it was difficult for both teams to adjust to that I think coester adjust to it better than what we did I think you know we’ve I think we know what a Danny CI team is they’re very well drilled they’re um I say very disciplined but it’s that’s probably not the word for a Danny CI team they know every trick in the book as we saw and um you know we we’ve tried to play football on probably a day in which probably trying to play football might not have been the best option but saying that are we capable of maybe going a different approach and at the minute certainly not and especially not at home I think that’s I think I said I think I tweeted it and I think I said that we’ lost six and0 it could be seven in all comps um if we go in all comps I mean that includes you know we’ve we’ve been batted by donc cter and W it includes a a home defeat to Wilston in the FA Cup um the Stark difference between our home and away for is genuinely staggering away from home you know we’re tough to beat we just Nick that goal and we you know we’ve defended really well we’re very well organized at home we play with fear and I don’t get why I think I think it’s getting to a point I think at home in which people are sort of waiting for a mistake and I think that that was the case yesterday um it’s been pretty tured at home I think you know I may I pick no bones about it you know this home form is not good enough and it’s quite frankly unacceptable and if we’re going to be a top you know if you want to be and then around you know that playoff chasing chasing Park we have to get better we have to get better at home it’s as simple as that um we probably looked at it at the start of the Season we had a couple of good wins at home and um and and that’s just all gone you know the roles have turned into our away for our away form is not going to last forever it’s as simple as that we are going to lose games if that happens and this away and this form at home doesn’t turn very quickly then we’ve got a big problem going it’s it’s as simple as that with the amount of you know with with teams catching up the goal was terrible I don’t really there’s a load of mistakes in there uh we don’t close the man that it felt like Gordon had about 10 years to take the shot off um the goal was Dreadful and um we had our moments you know we had a couple of chances there was a good one in the first half um and we had one decent in the second half but we didn’t really look threatening nether did them we some I think it had nil nil written all over it for quite a large period of that but once again we’ve shot ourselves in the foot by making stupid mistakes we’re not losing games creatively it’s just the same mistakes that we used to see we’re neither getting batted at home or we’re giving up goals in which you know they’re our own doing and it’s so frustrating and I think what concerns me the most I think probably was Dave ell’s postmatch I’ve agreed with what Dave has said probably throughout this time you know I’m I’m a big fan of Dave um for him to say that we’re on the right path at the minute and we’re playing better at home I’m sorry I think that’s pure delusional I really do um because ultimately we we may be performances wise we may be playing better at home but the proof in the pudding in Thea you know it’s about scoring goals away from home and we’ve done that more than the opposition away from home and we’ve won games by doing that at home we just look pretty Toothless and those yes all right the conditions played its part I’m not using that as an excuse but I thought there were so many performances out there yesterday I thought were really poor you know great chance for CA mainly for 90 minutes yesterday in which he got um poor um Luca Baron I thought was poor Jaden Luke I thought you know didn’t really get into the game we’ve missed I think it was another one of those games in which we really missed Kieran green and that’s how um pivot pivotal he is this sore even George M who uh has been fantastic for us I think we s we were sort of Misses by yday but really disappointed they another side I thought they were there for the Tak in um it’s a Danny CI side so we always lose I’m not I’m not his biggest fan for obvious reasons um but yeah I was not impressed not impressed to say the least I mean it is entirely a mental game at this point I think after a couple of losses at home you could have said okay yeah you know just a couple of couple of one-offs whatever but at this point I think it’s starting to eat your way at at your players especially because you can see in both boxes that’s where the mistakes are there’s not too many mistakes in the middle thir it’s always at the key moments I I mean for that goal is ridiculous trying to play out from that position uh it’s like trying to watch a russle Martin team for those of you that have seen Southampton Swansea or last play uh yeah it just ridiculous exactly like exactly like that Southampton game today yeah uh but yeah it it is entirely a mental game at this point and yeah there’s just a clear lack of belief at home there needs to be some kind of result I don’t know how they find how how you guys are going to find it but there has to be that one sort of catalyst to to bring things back together at home because that’s supposed to be your thought and at the minute that’s not happening I do think the general play is there so I can kind of see where artel is coming from on that point on that point but in both boxes the mistakes can’t keep happening and if if if they’re not there mentally there’s not a whole lot you can do yeah and his in like I said his interview really took me by surprise actually um because I thought we’re pretty dire throughout not just the goal I think just in in general I think going to LEL Park last couple of years um has been it’s been a little bit of a chore if I can’t if I’m going to be perfectly honest um you know we have good attendances you know we we knock on the door about five six thousand every week um it’s it just maybe sound like a little bit of criticism I don’t really mean it that way but I think some people just sort of get it because we’ve just been so used just to seeing you know really poor performances and results at home at the minute um like I said just sort of just waiting for that mistake to sort of just get onto the backs of the players and the manager um and um yeah it’s just not it’s just not been a great place to be and I can’t at the minute and I and I’m struggling to really pinpoint what it is because away from home we’re a completely different team it’s it’s as simple as that I think are we trying to maybe over complicate things maybe I think we lit I think in terms of I think goals are I think another thing really quickly I think goals are star to become a little bit of a problem um I think you know our lack of we know where our problems are we’re trying to play you know wide it’s clear that we’re missing Pace we are missing quite a fair bit of pace and I think I think Charles vernham has been a bigger loss and where we think but again you can’t really rely on Char it’s unfortunate to say but his injury record has been appalling um I think yesterday has made my mind up on a few things heading into Jan and um yeah it’s just frustrating at the minute because we neither really good or we’re not there’s no there’s no middle ground it’s it’s it’s the really annoying thing r a minute some people will see it as progress um quite a lot maybe see it as progress some might not I saw a couple that maybe suggested that it you know it doesn’t really say an awful lot because what happens is on on the pitch is the main thing um well but if we’re going to be honest did we really expect where we are at the start of the season I think for me the honest answer is no I still don’t think kit will I still think you know if we end up finishing around 13th 14th it’s still an improvement on last season but we know where the issues are but it’s just frustrating because we’re losing games by making the same stupid mistakes that we have done from every other game we’ve lost it’s just so annoying that’s that’s the I w’t really angry at it it was just more frustration because we’ve seen it all before with that I’ve spoken about t a lot so I’m gonna shut up now uh Co Chester huge win for them much needed yeah it was much needed because if they didn’t win they would have been one point off the allegation Zone which other way the bottom threes at the minute they would have been one point off bottom as well so and not winning away in since April I think you said they needed it and it’s s a confidence booster that they can use in their next few games just to try and build some momentum because the start of the Season everyone thought they’re going to be the dark horses and sat 19th on the table and it’s just not looking very exciting at the minute so they can hopefully use it to get a little bit of momentum and climb up the table Yeah and they’re done on the world are good yesterday it’s as simple as that I thought you know in terms of their play thought they defended at times pretty well um you know like I said I just feel like they dealt with the conditions better than what we did um you know what you’re going to get with the Danny Kelly team and on paper that I still stand by they’ve got one of the best squads in the league on paper for one reason or another it’s just not [ __ ] there’s been a lot of draws in there um but it was important I think they had to get that win sooner or later and of course it was against us which is absolutely no surprise there um they’ve got Fleetwood next and they’ve got swinden and their next to um Swindon is a good opportunity for points Fleetwood will be tough they’ve been I mean they’re struggling to play games at the minute I feel I feel like with the amount of games that they haven’t played um but you know that Fleetwood are a good team you know it be be a chance for them you know another long trip for them away from home that’s a point as well uh then you know they they go there um I mean they they go there next week actually um I mean both teams are are out of the FA Cup they go there next week and they’ve whacked that as a half one kickoff as well after going to Grimsby for a half kickoff and going up to Fleet with for um a half half one half 12 kickoff not half one sorry uh it’s bad track I’ll give you that um you know a lot of mileage to be done there um you know fair play to any Co has a fan that has done both I guess but um we’ll see how that goes but certainly in terms of fair recent form you know certainly a huge win uh for um on on their perspective uh huge win for Chesterfield one-nil win against Barrow pretty late on a Jamie Grimes header uh looking at it couple of decent chances for for bar they hit the post um and I think they had a goal disallowed uh I think with the form they’re on at the minute I I think even now I think maybe you know Chesterfield like a draw we know that um they can score goals and I think Barrow will be disappointed that they’ve conceded 89th minute from a corner as well um the fact that they’ve missed out on um on claim at a point there but also it it also extends there I mean it extended their um games of uh their winless run anyway but by losing that yesterday he just feels again like another kick in the teeth with how somewhat poor in terms of results that they’ve been on at the minute oh yeah no they they’ve really started to struggle and I think this was a game where you had two teams that for the most part actually canceled each other out and really I think if you look at the chances the Highlight backage from that game Dallas should have scored he should have been the one to to open it with I think he went go and hit the post and how different that game would have been if that had gone in is when you have that moment to to really take the game and he’s gone and wasted it and in the end they’ve they’ve been punished by uh I mean yeah and I mean they defended well for the most part as well it’s just one moment at the end it was always going to be a one moment game well I I suppose it was two Chesterfield took theirs bar didn’t and you know that’s why they were on the wrong side the score line so and then going forwards though I think that that’s got to be the main problem again we’re talking about team that’s had one shot on Target and that’s just not enough especially when you’re up against the side that are you know well known for scoring a lot of goals that’s just not enough Steph Clemens what do you think because obviously we look at their recent form it’s been D like no wins in what seven or eight but I think if you probably look at it on the outside you know bar are not the biggest Club in the league I do get the sense that I think they may be overachieving a little bit I think they certainly have done in you know the last couple of years under Pete wild but it there’s certainly some question marks to be had with this form um because it’s gone on for a while now it’s I think there’s probably one or two I think probably that does need to be answered yeah it’s not been ideal because it doesn’t feel that long ago since bar were in the playoffs and we were praising Steven Clemens but it’s just not going their way at the minute they’re not conceding many but they’re just not scoring and that Andy Dallas Chance is going to absolutely be on their mind for ages and then just to let Jamie Grimes unmarked from a corner it’s just he’s just poor but I guess you can’t put the blame on that on stepen Clement so it would be harsh but Pete wild was also very harshly sucked but you just it’s tough because there’s going to be pressure growing on him so he just needs to get a result but it’s just when and where yeah yeah of course I’ve certainly seen that from some bar fans that maybe are are maybe questioning I think to concede you know that sort of goal very late on is very disappointing um there’s a hint of maybe unluckiness with that Dallas chance but it’s it’s a very good opportunity and one that I think does he does have to take GNA be honest um just a couple of CH here and there but it’s on paper it certainly looked like it was heading for another draw I think Chesterfield like even hit the bar or something like that they had a couple of decent opportunities it brings to Chester field quite nicely they found the way they’re into the playoffs it looked like Destin they were going to get another draw but um you know they’ve they’ve managed to find a way to pick up uh the three points I think I think I make that their third League winning on the the second league winning three so I think maybe some things are maybe looking up a little bit a little bit perhaps and in fact no I tell I tell that’s a second league winning four because I forgot about that Aon Stanley defeat for some reason um wait have I got that right one two yeah that’s the yeah second second winning four so a little bit little bit you could say I don’t do research a little bit of maybe that but you know it’s a win it’s a win at home well to be honest I I I’m actually quite happy they’ve won a game in a different way you know they’ve they’ve done it by actually defending well uh you know Barry didn’t create that many chances and I think chess Bill do deserve credit that they had they’ve had to actually grind out a win without the other team scoring a hatful at the same time and it’s not necessarily the most convincing result but it is an improvement on some of the other other uh other results as you mentioning the Arington one there you know they’ve dropped points in places where I personally don’t think they should have so it was good to see see them reinforce it by actually getting a win and like I said it getting getting a win in a different way because like I said they’ve dropped too many points against easy easy teams so it’s just good to see them get it right absolutely in a clean sheet is certainly pleasing because they’ve been shipping a fair few goals as of late as well um just really quickly just to point out on bar their next few games just really just as really difficult as they come really they’ve got Bradford MK Dons and War play next three so um it’s there’ll be challenges I think he probably fair to say with that one but you know Chesterfield have have uh have found away we’ll go to the Friday night game um it was I watched this one it was not a game to write home about um it was never going to be between cheltonham and TR we know that trir struggles recently especially their threat in front of goal um chelham have done pretty well actually I think they maybe gone under the radar with how well their form has been um it was a terrible game but chelam have found away in the 89th minute in which I’ve got to say that trir defending is appalling um and I just feel it I think the pressure is starting to grow on hydro laak is because um there’s a lot of things not right at the minute and you know the lack of quality is there to see for TR and I’m just not sure I’m just not sure about Niger lcking at the minute because I just feel like we’re getting to that stage in which one you know that that defeat is maybe one too far I think some question might have to be answered and we’re all speechless with [ __ ] like kid yes oh wait was it me oh just or just anyone you know [ __ ] your lackings discust you know go on Luke go on I’ll go for it then yeah no it’s it’s a tricky one with TR I mean they’re just very flat I feel like I’ve said that a couple of weeks in a row now but yeah it’s just really really flat and I mean if they’ve done their research on this game they like I mean we played sham recently they’re quite happy to rely on shots from the edge of the Box you’d think that’s the one thing you try and stop them from doing so to let it go last minute like that yeah again it’s just it’s just getting getting the basics wrong and I I do think questions have to be asked of Adkins at this point you know there’s no denying he has he does have like some quality and a lot of experience but for whatever reason he he can’t get it to click and you know against again against weaker opposition if you can’t get into any sort of river and start pulling off results then you know who who are you going to win against and that that it become it becomes problematic in that sense so I think a change could well be needed I mean the truth of the matter is TR thoughted themselves 20th they scored 10 goals which is well the lowest I think um I think carile have scored 14 and they’re the second lowest scorers um there’s just no threat I think the really real threat we’ve discussed is Amari Patrick that I don’t ecart last 90 minutes he was clearly their biggest threat on Friday night and um they just never they never look like scoring on a month on Sundays it’s as simp simple as that nether did really CH them to be honest it looked like nil nil was very destined and to give it up like that last you know very late on um it’s another kick in the teeth and um you know they they have we have gone on saying you know they haven’t placed raap but it’s clearly a bigger issue I think maybe what some some people are for um I do think you know if this takeover goes through it’s apparently could happen then you know it could give them a bit of a lift and they might want to change things themselves but um I think a few people have somewhat high hopes for chir after how you know at times how impressive they were last season at times and um it’s just not happened for them at all I mean their next three games have got AFC W and they’ve got more come and they’ve got chestfield there’s possibilities there but if you can’t put the ball it it’s very simple if you can’t put the ball in the back of the net what chance have you got and you know 10 goals is not good enough at the minute and they they make it like it’s rocket signs and it’s yeah it’s I I don’t really know what to say on TR me um I don’t think it’s just Atkins I think the players have let him down as well at times um but they just out off the quality and ultimately I think we’re starting to get to a point it it lies on AEL Atkins it’s it’s as simple as that um yeah couple of big weeks I think because if they’re not careful they could be dragged into it honestly it’s it’s it’s not beyond the Realms of possibility they could be dragged into this relegation battle if they don’t pick up quickly really what four points clear you know it’s not a lot if you know some other teams pick up you know they could be down there as quick as as quickly as as it can be so um certainly some issues there um chelam have found away and um I think they have done that a few times in their most recent games um and they picked up three points in the end of it yeah there was a lot of pressure on Flynn just a couple of weeks ago and we said at the time they just need to just see some games out get some points on the board and that’s exactly what they’ve done so all credit to Michael Flynn because there was a lot of negativity around out on him and a lot of criticism on him and on the players and they’ve turned it around and they’ve got PV next which wouldn’t be easy but with the form they’re on you just never know yeah you you know just we say this league is predictable but I think you they’re sort of I think they’ve gone under the radar a little bit in which they’re sort of creeping up the table a little bit I’m not sure how high their ceiling is to be honest because you know I think if we’ have said 14 for chelam I think you know I think it’s probably what most people sort of expected maybe even lower but you know I think that recent room has been impressive it certainly lifted the pressure on Michael Flynn’s shoulders because I think there was maybe some um certainly going into it um you know a month or so ago so um a fair bit of credit does have to go to him couple of goal draws yesterday uh we’ll rattle through these very quickly knots County Drew goess with Newport looks like a game that knots County dominated couldn’t find a way through uh just a very resilient away away performance from from Newport and they’ve got a point at the end of it in which you know they’ll be they’ll clearly be the happier of the two maybe missed you know missed opportunities are plenty there I think for KN County maybe you know the lack of you know maybe you know the likes of jod Jones I think may be a bigger Miss than maybe some but even then I think you know there’s there’s some ities there um maybe a couple of Minds have been maybe made on a few of their players I think they’ve got a biggish squad actually um I think yeah new will be by far the way the happier I think that’s what I can certainly see from now oh yeah absolutely I mean Nots have done just about everything in this game apart from score they had so many chances even even without Jones and and Crowley and Grant and I think there’s another as well but they had more than enough chance to win this and the quality just well it wasn’t they weren’t clinical enough with it is is the way I’ll put it I think Town end had a fantastic gaming goal for Newport I will say I will say that much he made some decent saves but at the same time from the chances they created you you’d hope that knots would would have put that game away I do I really do think it was just the final third as well the general play was good they were pressing High winning the ball high up high up in the in the opposition half it was just that that Final Touch to kill the game off so disappointing i’ I’d say to to drop two points it’s definitely two points dropped but the performance level was still there for the most part yeah maybe maybe just a case of one of those days I think maybe could come into it but I do maybe think there’s maybe something a little bit bigger to go with it um but at the same time it’s not many times in which we’ve seen not cently not scoring games that’s now back toback games in which they haven’t scored we haven’t seen that a hell of a lot since they’ve since they’ve been back up you know they’ve been goals for fun even this season at times you know they’ve they’ve had no issues with scoring but you know just some just thrs off at the minute maybe you know the lack of a few big names is certainly starting to play its part but um new yeah can’t really complain too much um with with that point I do maybe question that recent run you know just the one win um in about the last seven or eight may be a concern but I think they do have to start winning soon I don’t think many people expected them to win yesterday um and they haven’t done but they haven’t lost it so it’s a good point looking at it but we’re coming into a period now which they’ve got Wimbledon caral um and new and and coester as their next three they’ve got to start picking up wins yeah I totally agree they’ve got a good chance to pick up some wins looking at the next few fixtures their issue is theyve not scoring goals three of the last four games have finished nil nil I’m pretty sure so that’s got to be cons turn but on the positive they’re not conceding they’re picking up some clean sheet so that’s not a massive concern because although the results aren’t going their way they’re not conceding too many so they just need to keep at it yeah just and maybe just a couple of wins will sort of ease maybe a one or two worries I think maybe some might have at Li minut because they are dropping down a a fair bit to be honest one more game played yesterday car nil donc cast a nil donc cast hell to a goal as draw um at Carlile uh Carlile haven’t lost again the r beating in three I mean just the I mean they picked up you know the win against sford and they’ve had back-to-back draws um especially against donc cter on the face of it not a bad draw at all you know donc cter going very well at the minute um maybe donc cter might say the same but I think maybe they might maybe see it more as maybe a missed opportunity with obviously car bottom of the league and all that I mean car did have the ball in the back of the net given for offside but um yeah I’m I’m tall I’m wonder what you think on this one because I’m pretty tall actually I think there’s pros and cons for both there there are I I I do think it’s it’s a better point for car obviously um you know I think there was I was kind of saying before there were there were Signs of Life in in the previous game and you know they’ve backed that up with with another Point against a strong side and I’m not necessarily entirely convinced about the final third play yes they did have one that didn’t actually count but I I do think they’re starting to figure out how to play Williamson’s way and if if they can keep working on that and add the final third quality then we could well see them starting to to pick up a few results on on donc cter side there’s more concern I think they’ve drawn this they’ve drawn three in a row now so the league form is starting to slip and uh I think the biggest concern for me is actually discipline I think that’s their fourth red card of the Season already which isn’t great I think that’s joint worse I think br if I remember correctly but I I do almost wonder if if it’s their schedule that’s starting to get to them a little bit if the players are starting to fatigue because they’ve got a lot of fixtures at the minute uh I think they’ve still got more games coming up as well with I think FA Cup and thef FL trophy so they’re going to have to find a way to navigate it without ruining their league form because ultimately that’s the most most important thing everyone loves a cup run but at the end of the day they probably want to be in League one more than you know getting a decent run in in one of th those cups I just see it they’re not losing and maybe there are missed opportunities in there I mean I take yesterday’s against car all and maybe even the game against sford um in which he probably do expect donc cter to probably be a little bit better than what they were um it’s just not come to fruition but I don’t think there’s many concerns of I’m going to be honest I think they’ve only lost they’ve lost one League game out of the last like eight or nine I don’t think there’s much a concern there’s quite a fair few wins yes all right they’ve got a lot of games coming but um you know if they can maybe pick up a few points out with Fleetwood and chelham their next two League games I don’t think there’s we have this conversation I think it’s pretty void to be quite honest um car I mean lot the picking up the points but um they need wins but I don’t I think thinking about it now I don’t think you can really complain with a point against one of the best sides to be quite honest yeah it’s a very good point for them because going to donc cast is never easy but no matter what form they’re on and especially in the trouble there in where they were consing too many but that looks like it’s been fixed a little bit with gabri getting two clean sheets in three they’re looking a lot better going forward they just need to then the longer the season goes on I think the better car are going to get because like Luke said they adapting to Mike Williamson system now it’s I can’t see being in any trouble but they just need to make sure that they keep picking up the points before they just before they just I I don’t know what I was gonna say before they I don’t know move on so get out just just get out of it um if they keep picking up the points yeah they’ll be fine you if they keep maybe just doing that with one or two wins in between um yeah I think they’ll be okay I knew you were trying to get out I just I know you it just won’t get out you I I understand what you’re saying there look three games called off yesterday uh you know uh very quickly because we’re sort of running out of time uh a pretty big one tomorrow uh port against Newport Port Vil League leaders crew coming in in fifth at the minute you know they’re on very good form you know Port Vil look very good as a neutral I’m very excited and I really hope it uh it sort of lives up to expectations because this is a big game for both for both sides oh yeah know this is AB absolutely huge proper promotion six pointer yeah I mean it be a little disappointed if if it is a draw but from a Bond’s perspective I’m entirely hoping it is a draw um I think if if someone does win it it is a massive massive statement on on TV as well so you know send send that a big statement to the rest of the league I have no idea who’s going to win this one I hope there are goals in it but yeah know this could be very telling of where the league goes yeah I agree I mean if Portville win at the end of play tomorrow they’ll go six points clear ahead of w we be at w will have two games in hand over him if crew was to win they’ll go up to um they’ll go up to Second just behind um with a game in you know with a game in hand over portv so it really is big for for both sides and you know what could potentially lead to lead head into heading into especially the you know the festive period in which we are as well as the The Wider season so to speak yeah it’s a great chance just toe of the FA Cup second round games to go to extend your lead at the top or to go up to second is just a good chance to just first third of the season to be exactly where you’d want to be just heading into the season so before all the tough games and running happens it’ll be a really good place to leave it for a little bit absolutely there is a couple of games on Tuesday night as well there’s FC won traveled to tr W host Bromley look W can instantly reply on on Tuesday um if they if they beat Bromley um again it’s a real good result for them and it keeps them in sort of tabs with Port Vil so it sort of is a really big one early doors so to speak it’s big for AFC won as well going to going to tr if they win out you know they’re knocking on the doors of the play again and we don’t have the conversation that we maybe had earlier uh with them but that’s sort of where we’ll leave it this week pretty in depth discussion on a few obviously with the three games that were called off so I hope
