[Music] uh Jags Titans look ahead here Tennessee minus 2 and a half we got as high as five till we saw some buyback on the dog I think some of that of course was um what we saw on Sunday just a wild game with the Jaguars and the Texans of course uh Houston got out to a big lead 23 to6 and then the the I think the Trevor Lawrence injury happened at some point in the middle of Houston taking that big lead and then Jones came in and it was a furious comeback uh Jags lost by a field goal they covered the spread um Jacksonville now has lost five straight but they’ve covered in four of the five the only game they haven’t covered in in that stretch was that big blowout loss to the Lions so say what you want about the Jags they are covering um some numbers um Titans off the blowout loss of the commanders they also failed to cover as a six-point Road dog it doesn’t look like Trevor Lawrence is going to play this week guys um obviously that’s going to shift the number here it’s going to be M Jones so uh Fez how much are we shifting Jacksonville down with M Jones under Center yeah just about three points so you’ve got a um you know Trevor Lawrence is a below average starting quarterback now just by so I got like a minus a half and so backup quarterback’s like a minus three and a half so Jaguars do I have them is my worst team now in the NFL I think I do um based of nope uh they’re right there with the Giants um the well by the way if I don’t give you what my number is on the game it’s just because my numbers align with what the market is but they don’t align on this game what’s interesting is I actually have Tennessee a five and Half Point favorite by my numbers but it doesn’t feel right it doesn’t feel like the Titans that I’m I’m docking the Titans enough for their horrific special teams play which has been so bad um each and every week by the way Jared you mentioned you thought there’d be more field goals than touchdowns so it it just in the nuances in the NFL with pick sixes and special teams you can’t score a field goal on a special team’s Gaff so the touchdowns should always be favored against field goals but you know in terms of a you can bet first score for not just in the game but for each team touchdown or field goal and you you’ll always get like plus 130 on the field goal so give me the field goal overs for all the kickers too that’s been these coaches love kicking field goals it’s crazy lots of ways to get at that yes but I have nothing on this game Chris what do we think here oh I’m surprised that Steve has them five and a half so uh I’m going to be looking Jacksonville’s way uh later on though when Lawrence is officially announced out I imagine that the vast majority of that is factored in already but regardless you’re gonna get a bump yeah uh and uh I just want to get a better grasp on the game but I I’m pretty sure I’ll be on Jacksonville I can’t you know you can’t play it on a Wednesday at this number knowing that the line’s going to be boosting up uh we just don’t know how much and uh uh it makes a different uh in this situation I I think J you know as it was mentioned Jacksonville finds a way to cover they’re playing hard uh even with a you know a dead weight coach which is kind of odd but uh um that’s how I see it yeah I I think when you get to this point in the season and we’ll get to this in another uh method later in the show with the Dallas Cowboys you when a when a team wants to play for a lame duck coach McCarthy Peterson they’re better than their number indicates I I think that has become clear to me with this Jacksonville team based on what I’ve seen over the last few weeks they’re fighting for Peterson they they like Doug he’s a players coach obviously they’re rallying around him you saw the response with the Trevor Lawrence hit last week I mean there was almost a full-blown melee on the field after that um there’s fight the Jaguars I see someone in the chat here I think Chad Moody feisty it’s a good word to use for this Jags team so it we saw this number hit right like on Sunday when we saw the look ah headlines pop back up uh you know after uh the games uh picked back up Fez this got to his high as five and a half like I I can see this getting a little bit higher than three and a half before Sunday right you know it’s a great question it sure feels like Jacksonville should should have the value uh you know one thing about Tennessee the reason I’ve got them rated so much better I’m a big yard ypp guy yards per play and Tennessee from line of scrimmage yards per play they’re a 500 team they wow they’re lousy on offense they they gain 4.9 yards per play but they only give up 4.9 on defense and Jacksonville is a bad team they’re minus point8 so that just from those numbers that’s why my Tennessee number aligns with that minus five and a half that’s fair yeah I’d like to I’d like to I just noticed Jacksonville is the second worst team over the last five games um which doesn’t bode well for him but Tennessee’s you know middle of the pack they’re not doing much better uh and we covered Atlanta already I’m betting against Atlanta they’re the third worst over the last five weeks just to make note of that I know I I think that’s fair and again the Titans last week was as we like to call it a belt to ass game that was the uh highest net success rate disparity of the week with Washington just eviscerating this Titans team so the one thing I like to say in the NFL you’re never as bad as your worst performance Never As Good as your best I don’t think the Titans are as bad as what they showed last week and maybe that’s why this number’s been a little bit hippity hoppity three and a half to five and a half we’ll see what the Trevor Lawrence news does to it it seems like we’re all kind of staying away from it um no plays across the board for our panel here on Titans Jags [Music] [Music]
