James thanks for joining us just a few days before Saturday’s game against raer RS looking back to last Saturday what impressed you most with the performance scoring three goals um I know we have done it um once before this season probably but but getting three goals and and then obviously the three points that come with that but I think the players will take a a fair bit of confidence for for scoring scoring three goals having another another couple of chances as well so the the main thing was it was three points it was a victory at home but but delighted for the players and on the whole the fact that they got the the three goals and and stood firm in the end two more goals from set pieces as well and that’s something that we’ve been working on the season and scoring quite a bit of goals from as well yeah look I’ve spoke all my career actually just how important they are and you can never guarantee over a season or predict how many goals you’re going to score from set plays but every time you get a set play it’s a chance to work the opposition it’s a chance to to put them under pressure so I think mat’s one was in particular was a a very very good goal hard ball he defend um with the way Matthew hits the ball and and there puts it in it’s it’s one of those ones that again I know John rank after the game was saying he was disappointed no one no one dealt with but they’re tough to deal with um and and it bounces and goes in so delighted I think it’s it’s the area that that you would want your players to put it in a lot of the time they don’t do that and and you go off your head but no like just any way the goals come will’ll take them but like we just back to creating other chances as well in the game which pleased me there was a startat that came out in the Press during the week about the age of the this team that played on Saturday and it was the youngest in Scotland just how important was that and how proud are you that you got the three points in that fashion as well yeah like and I think after the game I spoke and and it was a kind of tongue and cheek comment where I said that we just how young that Squad was I was delighted but that was more more of a tribute to the academy and and our football club in general and and what we’re trying to do um I think when when you win games we we it gets highlighted probably because you win the game but that that we’re not in a position where we can just pick a team and say to pick a young team and see all go and enjoy yourself lad the ones that the ones that started that game and and the younger ones in particular they were all in their on Merit through performances and training performances and Reserve games and and what they do when they come on to effect games so like really proud of that in terms of the perspective of the football club I think it’s it’s what we’re try to do as a club um it’s what I I’ve got a strong belief in as a manager and and trying to try to help try to produce young players and then that transition from so Reserve football into into First Team level and and what we’re doing it here and as I say that’s that’s a lot of work goes into that from the younger ages but then when they get with myself and Dave there’s a lot of time gets spent into that but the credit the biggest amount of credit goes to the player themselves because they do the work they’ve got The Bravery to come in and Trin with the first team and and express himself the end the out and the two 18 year olds that did star and Sam and Taylor um are from our Academy and but then you look at the other ones in terms of you and to K Richie hos they’re from other other clubs that we’ve brought in and and help develop and I mean when I say help we’ve come in and gave them the platform and and worked with them and we’ll continue to do that and look at it’s great for for them it’s a a good confidence boost for the young players that they can they can go out and get three points and and feel that that or get that feeling of winning games particularly at home in front of your own fans it’s great particularly your career because it’s new to them so no I was I was pleased for them all in terms of Saturday’s opponents Neil cin side in a similar position to us in the league um what’ you make of his side yeah in terms of the points they’ll be disappointed where they are in the league likewise we are and there’s probably four or five six teams are that saying the very same so like they’ll be desperate to put they get three points will be disint appointed with with the result on the performance at the fer Stadium cuz that that was a won’t be happy with that knowing knowing what he was he was like as a Defender certainly anyway um so they’ll be desperate to to get back on track at their place they’ll be they’ll be desperate to put one right for for when they came here early in the season and and in FA perspective again like sorry I’ll go back ra we got some good players some good experienced players as well I spoke about that the last time so I think they’ll NE be they’ll be leaning on those experienced players um to to try and get them going we we’ve got that bit of experience as well touching on when we’ve got the young players but I say our focus is on us we’ve went there too many times now um backed by a fantastic traveling support and and not him away with anything I know we got a a bonus point on an spfl or the or the League Cup which again meant nothing that day we want to go down there and put on a performance in front of our own fans create goal scoring opportunities and and test their goalkeeper CU that will get our fans involved in the game and we want to send our fans away for that place happy for once cuz in the last two seasons it’s not s well with anyone in here um that we’ve not managed to go there and get a result so that’s what we’re looking to put right in Saturday one thing that gave us a massive boost in the game earlier in the season against him was that the fast start earning the the Chris G getting him behind and getting the red card for for you and muray and is that a similar thing that we’re going to try and focus on the game tomorrow as well as our quick start yeah we do try and do that and like sometimes you you start a game really well or or sometimes they’ll be trying the exact same thing but I think all all evening that all evening that that Friday night game we caused them real problems even as you say before the red card like with with the pace we had in the team um and made them defend their goalkeeper work and and that that’s what we’re going to a to do we’re going down there toest that goalkeeper to try and make them work and and play on the front foot and create chances and as I say I keep you know I’ve made a point to Haven to say it this week I say every time we’re at home that we need to give our support or something to get in the game with I want to do that at COD Saturday I want to I want to get them involved in the game early and that’s up to myself the staff the players to to go out and and start the game really quick work that goalkeeper and and get fans right behind us and and hopefully we’re all going to away with with three points at quarter to 5 on Saturday finally in terms of team news obviously Chris Hamilton suspended for Saturday is any of their latest news no everyone else is okay um as we stand here at the minute Chris Kane will be in the squad as well so like I’m reluctant to to say we we a DAT to go that he’s definitely okay so but no he Chris I expect Chris to to to travel with the squad on Saturday and be involved perfect thanks for your time cheers thank you
