what’s up guys this is EJ Holland with the wolverine.com and Michigan has scored a big win on the recruiting Trail before we dive into that I want to remind you guys to like this video subscribe to our YouTube channel for free get notifications every time we drop new videos and also subscribe to the wolverine.com using the special promo code1 that’s $1 for two months over at thewolverine.com where you can get exclusive Insider information on everything recruiting the team transfer portal it’s a great time to sign up over at the wolverine.com and yes Jordan young has flipped his commitment from Clemson to Michigan to a big win for the Wolverines on the recruiting Trail he’s a guy that’s ranked in the top 100 by on three the number 99 overall Prospect nationally and this recruitment was really interesting in the sense that young just committed to Clemson last month uh Clemson was considered a real top Contender for most of his recruiting process Michigan was always in that top group but always kind of appeared to be on that outside looking in he wanted to stay closer to home the nil wasn’t exactly there for Michigan just yet but you’ve seen the Wolverines really ramp up um on the recruiting Trail when it comes to nil and I think they were able to overcome the distance Factor too when you look at Jordan young I mean he’s a guy from Charlotte so that flight from Charlotte to Detroit is a pretty easy one short time allows his family to get there so I think again Michigan was able to get over that hurdle and I think with Clemson it’s kind of tough to pull kids from North Carolina once they commit to Clemson so especially with Clemson having a no visit policy and things of that nature uh usually commit a pretty locked in but you’ve been seeing more and more Clemson flips this cycle and Lamar Morgan did a fantastic job of landing Jordan young uh of stealing him just literally three weeks or four weeks after he committed to Clemson Lamar Morgan came to Michigan with almost no power for recruiting experience and he’s quickly blossom into one of the better Recruiters on staff he connects really well with prospects and parents he’s quickly developed relationships he’s extremely active he’s been calm cool Collective uh on the trail he’s done a tremendous job of flipping guys too uh which I think is really interesting you know Jordan young wasn’t the only guy he flipped this cycle remember he flipped a big one in Shamari ear who switched his commitment from Georgia to Michigan earlier this cycle so you know he just flipped Elijah doson who uh switched his commitment from pit to Michigan so doing a great job behind the scenes as well with kids that are committed elsewhere now this Michigan secondary class is absolutely stacked three Onre top 100 recruits with Jordan young Shamari ears kinoa Winston you have another on 300 recruit in Jaden Sanders and another four-star Prospect in Elijah doson so this is one of the better secondary halls in the country and with Jordan young you’re getting a prospect who’s listed as a safety Michigan really likes him as a nickel um kind of a guy that has similar traits as Rod Moore I don’t necessarily want to make that comparison but has those similar traits that’s what they want to gravitate towards uh when it comes to finding a nickel uh and I I think Jordan young has a lot of plus athleticism he’s not as technically uh refined but he is a guy that I think brings a lot to the table from closing speed uh just really athletic playmaker excellent uh on the offensive side of the ball as a wide receiver as well shows terrific ball skills and body control which will transition to the secondary so another big piece for Michigan on the back end and another great job by Lamar Morgan flipping Jordan young away from Clemson for more coverage on this commitment head over to the wolverine.com remember to use that promo code1 that’s $1 for two months like this video subscribe to our YouTube channel could be an exciting few days for Michigan so don’t miss out
