they’re getting SED up and yeah they’re worried about Cole they’re gonna go get they’re gonna go get like heavy pitching because the offense isn’t there man like you’re not replacing stto with five bats just not yeah you’re not going to replace zto with a bunch of bats you could try to still even out the lineup with some other stuff and like spend some money whether it’s at first base and third you’re gonna need some Outfield now so figure that out um but yeah been big on pitching man judge gets to go back your right field yes that’s a good thing we like that that’s the one positive and and quickly uh there was those teoscar Hernandez but I think he really does want to be a Dodger I don’t see that happening with the Yanks um I think that they’re gonna like short up pitching I think freed would be like their Top Choice I don’t know how they feel about Burns honestly but I know that the reports that I read about um about freed is that they really liked them a lot and it was like Mutual so let’s see what happens there um dude are we not kind of screwed I want the Yankees to get like go get good fundamental and defensive players like play both sides of the ball man the Al is still open it’s not a it’s not a situation where oh some other team’s G to run with it run away with it the Al is still wide open you still have Aaron judge you can figure that out whether you’re going to get Walker at first you know you want to trade for Bellinger or both I have no problem with that you know they’re trading Bell that’s happening and you got money to spend so spend it right but you know other teams could trade for belly I don’t know I mean Jim I I see where you’re going with the pitching but I think that’s only because that’s the only option and I don’t like that like yeah that’s where the most Talent is right but just coming from 2022 like the lineup was or 2023 when we missed the playoff the lineup was thin and there was no Wan SoDo yeah I get that but they’re just the Market’s not out there for bats that can help you in the next five years right now it’s not you just gota gotta find trade pieces in next year that’s like a bad it’s just you didn’t lock yourself in you find oneyear deals maybe but you can’t lock yourself in I mean Walker would be nice you talk to me on the bregman I got talked out of bregman um because he’s old and he’s going to be a lot of money he’s the books for a while so but does that mean does that mean this year’s a wash no you could get Sana as well yeah think about what we’re saying they can find they can find a way to be competitive this year they just really I’m interested I don’t know how but they they can I think what they’re gonna do is they’re gonna try and sign freed or a star pitcher because then it allows them to trade from the pitching staff yes like they have they have nowhere they have no Dominguez and Spencer Jones you could have traded those guys if you signed stto yeah they’re not crazy high value but now if you sign Max freed you’re trading Luis heel and you’re going to get a bat somewhere for him like if you sign Max freed or you have now Nester strowman well you dump strowman on the A’s because they just need money I guess so um then you get the 100 Mil no matter what look at that it’s pretty Bondi Beach nice Great Ocean Road um 2:46 in the afternoon here so that’s what I would guess their plan is because if they if they sign a bigname pitch like that one it helps the staff it then also allows them to actually be competitive in some other trade talks while keeping um uh Dominguez and Jones I would not be shocked if they’re thinking about signing free and flipping heel for a bat somewhere okay I could see that with the way that pitchers have been signing the Yankees have pitchers that they can trade that look attractive to other teams so you can get you can get offense that way um right now my brain is not really Computing no Solo in the lineup anymore so I’m trying to think about other people and we’ve talked about the free agents and first base options at nauseum to the point that I’ve even forgotten some of them right now because it’s just I’m just kind of thinking about that but um the Yankees I believe that the Yankees can put together a team that not only can win the AL but that can compete in the AL would can they win the World Series I don’t know but the AL as of this point is light it’s still like I’m a little shooked man the lineup’s gonna be bad next year and like the the last time we saw that is just 2023 is too soon man like the the Yankees are the Bronx bombers they’re built on hitting like we we did all this so like you know I was pushing Carlos Santana as the eighth hole veteran like dude Juan soo’s out we just lost we lost 162 games we lost a 400 batting average we lost 40 homers and the rest of the offense wasn’t that good I don’t know you’re not wrong yeah well they need to go get a center fielder they need to get a center fielder a left fielder first baseman like that so there’s going to be three bats added I just think they may try to piece that together by not going and getting whoever you bregman and Alonzo you know the next I don’t know if you can lock those guys up I don’t know I it feels I don’t like bregman man I I don’t like bregman and sent there I don’t like bro well that’s the thing it I I think that’s where we’re all a little nervous right now like in those dream plans we’re putting chips on the table for slightly riskier players whether it’s Chris Walker whether it’s bregman or whatever like that’s kind of the whole free agency game now that it’s a reality I mean it’s kind of what you’re saying Jim like you to put all these chips in on hitters that a couple of them ain’t G to work that you make the pitching strong and sure I mean you know Nester probably has some value at $7 million like you you can retool that way if you add to the pitching because Max freed has a really good baseball card as a really good Lefty pitcher so I I see that mindset I guess I’m I’m scared how the Yankees put it together because dude we between two of our well Dan RoR when it comes to the Yankees is a different breed but like we had a big it was Luis heel traded for Vinnie pasquantino in the office and Dan RoR was like yo Royals accept that tomorrow and Ryan Cohen was like no they don’t so I just I don’t know where he’ll value would be for hitters that line up you know because you start doing contracts right because it’s got to be two or three years and then they have to want a pitcher who’s had he’s had double Tommy John right and like I I don’t know like I know we love Rookie of the Year Rookie of the Year um I’m not saying it’s not worrisome or way worse than having soda James was excited about the beach Beach uh like it’s definitely worse Jake I just think I do think the best plan is to secure the pitching because that’s the best thing on the market and then allows you some more trades than just going and signing the next best bats because they’re all older and they’re just it’s not like they don’t replace stto so I just the pitching is good like also I don’t know after stto like what was Adams’s aav like what what are bregman has bregman and Alonzo and Walker’s numbers or estimates been skewed by the market yet so wi Willie got seven years2 26 mil a year that was an extra year 1 million more than people kind of thought um how old is he uh he’s 29 so for for free agency he’s still on a good number that ticks bregman up to a place I don’t want to be right right but that’s what I’m I mean you guys I’m hey you we can put some stop gaps in here but also we’ve talked a lot about HAL being proud that like Joe’s you don’t think they’re going to bring in One impact free agent hitter trade guy I think that they’ll bring up some guys that this is what I think man like I think that the Yankees are are they’re done throwing good money after bad just for the sake of like hey we gota we missed out on something and like Jim says shooting up pitching is really smart to do you know knowing what your rotation is like not only now but going forward and then you can you have more flexibility now to trade and you have money to play with and you’re still the freaking Yankees dude like people gonna come I don’t know if you want to sit there and wait for Kyle Tucker for next year there I don’t want to be handcuffed into a situation where now it prevents you from doing stuff down the road right um I’m not advocating that the Yankees are like a uh like a rebuild process we don’t think that but I think that we can do things to be able you know like I said before like those are some just some of the ideas whether you want to trade for somebody like Al low or nailor or whatever it is or do you want to go ahead and get yourself Santana who won’t like lock you up for too long or um I don’t know dude I’m thinking about some of the other guys whether you do want to go with I the guys that I’m really adamant about staying away about like just I don’t like s and there’s numbers I said that I don’t I’m not particularly high on bregman at all because of what his numbers look like either so like I’m good on that but I think that the Yankees will get created via trade we’ll see that other teams could do that too and you have money now to take on from other teams that are willing to give up money Soto sign for what another team’s entire payroll is right now a lot more I’m talking about like $50 million right like he $50 million in one season it’s who’s I think there’s
