that’s a great thing I’d say that’s what we’re here to preview it everybody that clicked into this is like why is it taking them 30 seconds to get to this but it’s a good thing yeah also like if we wanted to we could stress this out a little bit more why is it a good thing Greg well it’s a good thing because there’s a lot of good basketball players in this game between who Duke and Kansas oh nice yeah yeah it’s very nice very very nice uh Cooper flag and Hunter Dickinson do those guys have similarities to you um both really good basketball players one basketball player is overstaying they’re welcome both slight antagonists maybe like am I am I stretching too much trying to compare a oneandone special Prospect with a 24 yearold yeah also one both some got a little stuff to them both I think really good players and got a little bit of a edge villain s to them yeah one’s a little bit more one’s a little bit more manufactured than the other one okay one’s arguably a bigger bucket than the other one one has Marty mush’s phone number and one doesn’t don’t underestimate mush mush is a Duke fan he may have grops number I’m not gonna lie what does bannan have in this game is bannan still here um Duke Duke Kansas good B should we should we get to the preview yeah we we can uh yeah I was interested in going down the hunter Dickinson Cooper flag who will be the bigger villain in this game game because to me from being a hunter Dickinson afficionado through the years I feel like he gets up for the big moments a little bit like say what you want about the guy and he has been here forever like I know when he plays Tom ISO Tom ISO is gonna have his full attention you know what I mean like he’s he’s gonna get his 25 and then stomp on the Spartan logo and point to ISO to me I would expect that Hunter Dickinson shows up for the Cooper flag game and maybe has like a big villainy moment in it but at the same time I think Coupe is one of the only guys in the country that is naturally wired similar enough to Hunter that he might do the same thing like he he might show up have a villainy moment point at Hunter and like kind of let him know who the real big bad is here you know what I mean yeah there is but you know obviously in the game being neutral side in Vegas there’s gonna be a lot of juice to this basketball game there’s one thing that people even if you don’t want to give Hunter Dickinson the credit he might deserve he gets up for games like this like this is this would this is the the situation that Hunter wants to be in as a basketball player like be like us coming on here and questioning and being like who’s going to be the bigger villain he wants to go out there be the bigger villain he’s probably going to if I could place a bet on Hunter scoring his first basket and pointing at Cooper Flags twin brother in the stands and saying your brother stinks it’d be like minus 290 yeah the only thing I’m really confident in in this game is Hunter like hitting man man with like a variety of post fakes turned left hand hook like man man just keeps giving up the left hand and Hunt hits a left hand hook and then does the two small running down on man man that’s for sure gonna happen yeah but he’s gonna have a new celebration not too small he’s gonna hit this one that’s the new celebration he’s too th too thin he’s Way Too Thin wa dude’s Way Too Thin light ligh in the cheeks yeah uh how concerning would it be to you well this isn’t a hypothetical it’s a real thing Duke’s coming off of this really impressive emotional Road win over Arizona and Arizona team who I’ve been saving this take for you for this moment I think Arizona might just be a little fraudulent like I I listened to your recap with subie it was great go listen to it Duke earned everything they got in that game Duke is my national title pick they are awesome but are we sure a double digit Road win at Arizona is like that hard to come by this year this is the Arizona that just gave up 103 to Wisconsin that you’re going to stop bringing up basketball car I might break your brain with this what if it was basketball oh what if what if Arizona just couldn’t stop Wisconsin what if Arizona is a team built around Caleb love who is more checked out than he’s ever been and I don’t know if you saw the video but that after the game Caleb went and tried to high five four of his teammates and they all walked right by him with their head down yeah I did I did I did see that and I was hoping for Caleb sake that you didn’t see it this is a team that no one no one cares no one likes each other at Arizona right now they’re broken so Duke give Duke credit Duke may have been the team that broke them but I guess my my thought here would be are we giving a little too much hype to like wow look what Duke just did to Arizona only for like maybe the good version of Arizona in Kansas which is like old plus transfers plus an actual All-American like is that that’s kind of the recipe here Kansas is old with great transfers with a first team All-American maybe that does cause some of the problems Arizona was supposed to for a Duke team that like is here right now but sometimes young teams come off an emotional win and have a let down yeah but the let down is not that big because these young dudes are psychos are they talk to me on that they went in like say what you want about Arizona the basketball team right any like you can depending on how you feel about them how impressive that win is or not those guys went into their first true Road game as freshman as true freshman and were unfaced and Cooper wanted the moment too that’s the main that’s one of the main takeaways for me from these first two games even in the Champions classic where he was called what you want bad down the stretch didn’t make the plays turned the ball over we know that Coupe wants the moment like he left nothing to doubt in the Arizona game he had seven shots before the first media timeout I love that like he I think he establishes himself as like this Alpha who just does doesn’t care and is super competitive and you know at the same time like kiple doesn’t care either man man man man played against Anthony Davis like and Joel embid he’s not gonna be shaken by the fact that he’s staring across and seeing Hunter Dickenson across from him yeah yeah no I hear that um can I throw a dastardly hypothetical at you of course you can what I heard from you and from subie after the Arizona game was that it was Arizona’s front court that wasn’t good enough I mean Jaden Bradley had a good game Caleb love was off but like the real take at the end of this was like vsar doesn’t belong on a roster Toby aaka is not ready and crous was really underwhelming yeah if you dropped Hunter Dickinson on Arizona for that game does Arizona win that game no why and are you sure Hunter dickin is not worth a 14o difference in that game over because prevous def well one I think Hunter would give up more defensively and uh I don’t know about that okay even if you want to call that a wash uh no because I truly think it’s actually Duke’s defense that made like those guys aren’t as bad as they looked Duke defense made it look a lot worse like man man just he he Alters everything um Malik Brown looked like the the what’s it called the the DeMarcus Cousins and Carl Anthony towns meme when crous tried to back him down he just stood stared at him with this his face and poke the ball away like I think I just think these guys are that good defensively okay yeah I do believe you there this is a Kansas offense that can go cold right we’ve seen Kansas really struggle offensively against Michigan State go Cold against North Carolina in the second half so I don’t know they did this if this game is going to be like a defensive script I do think it probably favors Duke who is the better defense to me but I guess you never know where it’s going to go um I want to go down one mental path with you I clearly if you can’t figure this out I am for some reason I don’t know why trying to talk myself out of Duke yeah I know you are I don’t know why I think it’s because I’m just scared of being let down because I this is my national title pick dog no matter how skeptical I am in November of certain game scripts I am going to pick this team to win the national title barring a big let down before March I love this team there are certain things I I’m still a little skeptical on even after the Arizona loss of like what can they do and I just think there’s going to be variance like the the way I step back broadly and think what is Duke’s season going to be I don’t think they’re going to win 30 games immediately I think they’re going to have some bumps in the road early and in order for them there to be some bumps in the road this one kind of needs to be a bump um I want to ask you this if you were guarding Duke is there any sort of way schematically that you think is a good game plan for a team built around Cooper flag and K nipple pick and rolls because I have a very clear one all if if it’s Cooper flag and conino like they’re running the pick and rolls or they’re doing pick and rolls with other players well isn’t that that you tell me if I’m wrong if you’ve seen something different my interpretation of what John Shire wants to do with this team is basically let CP get in space and rock and either be a pick and roll ball handler get a switch or just do whatever he wants on anyone and then uh let Khan come attacking aggressive downhill off pick and rolls I’d switch you would switch okay I think I’d switch and live with Cooper flag actually either I got answer I got my answer here cart ah I got my answer here hunter likes to play Drop coverage a lot doesn’t Hunter’s drop work against this it works if Cooper flag is the one coming off the pick and roll yes well let’s so so much has been made through the years of Hunter is a defensive liability right because he is he can’t guard in space Here’s my thing if Khan the way Khan has been playing when he comes off a screen he’s getting to the rim KH Khan’s not really pulling pull-ups and pick and roll [ __ ] maybe that’s just a small sample siiz thing but like Khan’s offense to me is if he puts the ball on the floor he wants to get fouled at The Rim or go take a shot in traffic and if he’s shooting it’s because it’s catching shoots he doesn’t really like I haven’t seen him do like the off the dribble in between game yet Cooper flag’s entire game is off the dribble in between game and I would argue it’s not the best formula for Cooper flag right like the the times we’ve seen Cooper flag have issues have been when it’s like let me just go one-on-one and take my shots in the mid-range so I guess what I’m saying is Kansas’s entire defense Ive principles are built around baiting Khan and Coupe into things they don’t really do well right now like if Khan’s trying to just get downhill with Hunter Dickinson and drop I think Hunter’s big enough to affect those shots and it doesn’t exploit what Hunter’s bad at and if Coupe is just gonna go in space either on a 7 foot two guy or I guess I don’t know who else would be guarding probably Ryland probably Ryland Griffin or maybe even store a little bit or [ __ ] they’ll probably put KJ on him a little bit I think AJ’s quick enough to kind of take that on it it would scare me like the way that I think Duke would need to attack Hunters pick and rolles here would be utilizing Foster and Proctor and their quickness to put hunter in space but I don’t think Duke even wants to do that I don’t think that’s what shy wants to do I think he wants Proctor and Foster standing in the corner watching KH and Coupe make those plays eyes on Jonathan eyes on Jonathan eyes on Jonathan eyes on Jonathan I I think Duke has everything they need to win this game but if it’s gonna be Khan putting Hunter in ball screens I’m scared can I get you there try and get me there because I I see what you’re doing here and I’mma I’mma hit you with this oneop yes let’s let’s let’s stop this you and I get
