subscribe to ksr plus um we’ve got some great content on the football side and of course we’re always rolling out basketball recruiting content and content on this year’s current basketball team let’s start talking about some of these recent recruiting updates uh I know last week we didn’t talk too much about a guy Elijah arenus but he’s quickly moving up ky’s board um Kentucky offered him recently and he recently uh or his father Gilbert arenus um the former NBA player recently announced that Elijah will be reclassifying from the 2026 class to the 2025 class I know Kentucky is still a name that’s mentioned with him um but the school that I’m hearing the most is Arizona um I’m not quite sure uh if I I don’t think ky’s the favorite right now and I think things are expected to move quickly um but Kentucky is still involved um I know that him moving to the 2025 class does not completely take them out of it but I would not Peg them as the favorite right now uh let’s mention Caleb Wilson we talk about him basically every show at this point um down to five schools but there’s been reports out there that he’s uh thinking about cutting it down to two schools pretty soon I expect Kentucky to be among those top two schools and I think Kentucky is in the best position of the schools involved I haven’t changed my RPM pick uh I know you it’s it might get a little tiring hearing me saying the same thing about him every week but I still feel good about where Kentucky stands and a commitment should be coming anytime uh in the next couple of months so keep an eye out for that now uh let’s chat a second about our good friend Andy Ludi in my perfect franchise are you a displaced corporate executive wanting to put your career in your own hands or are you an experienced entrepreneur so what do you have to lose find your perfect franchise at my perfect franchise. net all right let’s talk about a couple of new 2026 names that are now on our radar starting with Billy White uh he’s a 69 small forward out of Texas um he started to get some interest from Kentucky um the the it’s been a a quick initial contact nothing too deep yet but he’s a name to watch uh he’s ranked uh he’s a fourstar ranked 109th in the country by the on three industry ranking but on three is higher than him on him than the rest of the in Industry at 39th overall um another player that recently was reached out to by Kentucky assistant coach Jason Hart is Kevin Thomas a 67 small forward out of Florida he’s ranked number 82 in the on3 industry ranking and number 144 in the on three rankings those are just a couple of new 2026 names we’re hearing a lot about 2026 is uh just getting that initial contact and kind of building a dialogue with the Kentucky staff but uh they’re not too far down the line with anyone just yet um except for maybe some of the guys that are reclassifying into the 2025 class like elah Arena so keep an eye out for those guys uh now let’s go and talk to rwe head coach Corey Frasier uh before we do that R rwe’s next game is Saturday at 7M Against The Undefeated and League leading yng dreamers led by Eli Ellis so uh let’s get let’s get to talking to him welcome back I’m now joined by rwe Coach Corey Frasier of O overtime Elite he coaches Kentucky 2025 commit Jasper Johnson and 2026 Target Tay Kenny Cory thank you for joining me today man thanks for having me man as always a pleasure to talk to you man so I want to start off by just asking about um what this season’s been like so far I know it’s just getting kicked off and uh what’s it been like in your first season coaching Jasper it’s been pretty good man um getting to know him um is it’s been probably the the the biggest Beauty in this season um we got new guy going in even though recruited the kid know his family pretty well but I’m spending time with him he kind of learn his personality what makes him go uh with things that he don’t like uh ways to challenge him ways to push him so it’s it’s been pretty good so far man and what would you say has impressed you the most about his game and your time coaching him so far um his man kid does not changed demeanors at all uh can be mistaken for laidback or casual but he’s pretty even kill and you go look at the stat sheets man he’s probably shooting you know a high percentage from the field and um he’s been very very consistent with his work um we’re challenging all kids uh to be better defensively but his rebounding is right where it needs to be um and and his overall just IQ of the game is definitely improving and you talked about knowing Jasper for a long time what would you say as surprised you the most uh so far in your time coaching him um his personality um you know you only get the chance to watch him play a little bit you talk to him in between times but uh he’s he’s a funny dude so um he he definitely has a personality and I didn’t realize that he likes to dance so much on Tik Tok so something new and then where would you say I know The Season’s just getting started but where would you say you’ve seen him improve the most over the course of the offseason and heading into the season I I think his ability to get to the basket and finish well around the rim was one of the things that was questioned about him a lot um he’s shown that he can do that he can do it in traffic um we’re encouraging it more uh we’re we’re also working on his his second level so he’s trying to work on getting to that second level and the mid-range a little bit more too as well uh three-point shooting is is is is there um he’s getting better with selections of what shots he wants to take so that that improves his his percentages as you go but um you know over the last four or five games you you can see the improvements of him trying to get downhill and trying to attack the paint and make finishes and how do you envision his game translating to the college level especially being at a program like Kentucky um I think the biggest thing is understanding who you are as a basketball player uh he’s never wavered away from that and his confidence is is on an all-time high we have debates consistently on um different segments in the game we’re watching the games like hey if it’s this amount of time left on the game uh do you take this shot or do you go two for one you sett for the foul or what whatever you’re going to do in the situation um Jasper’s confident is going to tell you no I’m going to take that shot because I’m confident so uh versus going get the layup but those are the things that you know we get a chance to work through and talk through um but he’s definitely you know improving on understanding why that makes sense now and how he continue to grow his game um when he gets to Kentucky some of the similarities after watching them a lot this year actually I became a fan don’t tell anybody I said that but um became a fan of Kentucky basketball I think pul does a good job but some of the things he’s asking to see from Jasper is you know improving his toughness um he’s shown that and then um his ability to cut away from the basketball slashing and stuff like that he’s starting to see a lot more of that happened with him and he does it Instinct instinctively um and his ability to screen um he’s a really good weak side um screener and not you know so much screening for himself but to free other guys up so he’s very unselfish when it comes to stuff like that you talked about it a little bit with Coach Pope um how how much is coach Pope in contact and what are some of the things that this Kentucky staff is looking to see at a Jasper before he gets to Kentucky I think I’ve spoken to everybody on the staff so far um in constant communication with Coach Hart on different things he’s sending me clips and things that they’re doing uh coach Pope has reached out to make sure that his staff is being in touch and then letting me know if I need anything to definitely hit him directly if if he can’t get if I can’t get one of the guys but um it’s been it’s been really good communication um I I really enjoyed some of his Insight on things that he see and things he wants to see so he’s in tune with the player he’s getting but um there’s some things that that he’s asked us to kind of you know get him prepared for so when he gets here that’s things that he don’t have to deal with um even though I’m sure he’s going to coach him through that but I mean it’s been been pretty good consistent conversations with them then over the summer I heard a lot about um how there was some talk about Jasper maybe looking to prioritize playing that point guard role and that being an area of focus what have you seen out of him um playing at the point um he’s he’s actually handled it pretty well um I think the biggest thing is learning how to initiate offense and then win the pushing transition when you got the numbers of understanding that he’s played off the ball a lot so um here you know he and ton Kenny are sharing that responsibility we can run kind of a three guard offense but um he has a lot of opportunities to push it up and and get us into different things and recognize different things I’m also challenging him on finding his voice from that lead guard spot as well so um that’s that’s that’s GNA take time but um he’s not wavering from the confidence to do it it’s just the main thing of recognizing things that you want to do um even coming back from the break he’s been a lot more vocal U he’s a little bit more bouncy I think spending some time at home uh coming to see a game at UK has probably given him a little bit more push of uh he feels like he’s in the right position to go there and and make an impact you mentioned tayin Kenny that’s another guy that holds an offer from Kentucky in the 2026 class what stands out to you the most about his game consistency um at one point he was shooting 75% from the field from the two and I think something like 43 or 44% from three um you you just for for a guy that’s 16 17 year old that is unheard of and for him to do that consistently night and night he’s one of our highest guys in the building with with intensity on our on our charts we look at guys who play the hearts he’s one of those guys so I I I’ll be the first to tell you I didn’t I knew he was good but I didn’t think he was gonna be that good this quick so he he’s kids got a lot of upside and then I know a lot of Kentucky fans uh Atlanta’s a popular spot for them catlanta I’m sure a lot of fans will be coming down for some games this season um what can fans expect from seeing that back court of Kay and Jasper and just your overall rwe team I I think the what the fans should say and what they should come and do is come support them as much as you can because I think that the more um you see these guys together the more you know they should be living at their doorsteps to to influence with that big blue uh to make it happen but man they they compliment each other really well um you rarely see you know upper classman and a younger guy um mesh that well together I don’t know if they even played together before but you would think they have played together the way they complement each other so well on the court but both are very unselfish basketball players um they do a lot of things um that I know I don’t teach so it’s it’s their instincts and things they do to make plays um but they they know how to get each other going too as well they respectfully understand you know I’m pushing you you pushing me so um you know in that regard they you don’t have any disconnect with those two and I I I don’t think either will have a a problem sharing the spotlight with one another so uh they’ve been they’ve been really good so far well coach thank you so much for joining us today we’re going to be following along all season and I excited for you guys this weekend man if you’re from Kentucky any fan you always welcome to come to OT to check out rwe as long as you wear in the RW t-shirt we’re good all right my final thought today is we’re gonna have a lot of clarity on ky’s recruiting efforts very soon Caleb Wilson should be coming to a decision in the next couple of months and things are moving quickly with Elijah Arena so we should be able to find out whether Kentucky is a major player there or not thanks for joining us today be sure to go and subscribe to ksr Plus we’re GNA have tons of great content coming your way and we’ll see you again soon [Music]
