they’re coming off of the the their version of an mte being the BBN Invitational which is just like Western Kentucky coming to rup Arena to play them and uh it’s more of the same from that standpoint it’s another buy game essentially and you’ve got uh you’ve got good old Georgia State coming in Georgia State I I’m Gonna Make You know no imagination here not very good um and that’s nothing against them obviously it’s just look when you lose by by 12 to Austin P and you you lose by five to Jacksonville State you know you lose by 50 points to Mississippi State we’re not about to come in here picking you to upset the Kentucky Wildcats so I’m guy Franklin I’m here with subie subie what are you looking to see and potentially learn from this Kentucky team that actually had a a semi close affair with Western Kentucky until the the last 10 minutes of the game where they really pulled away I I’m gonna be honest with you I don’t think we’re going to learn much uh from this game I don’t think Georgia state’s very good whatsoever um I will say this I kind of don’t want Kobe Brea to play so that it impacts his three-point shooting percentage I want to see Kobe Brea above 70% for as long as possible I think he’s just dipped under I think he’s like 68 right now he’s the best shooter in the country the Nets and rup are so perfect for three balls because they just Splish Splash and Go they they dance like crazy those Nets do uh I really don’t want to see Kobe bro Play Because Kentucky should be able to to handle this obviously that’s far-fetched he he will play um I’m also gonna dub this guy the Ryan Harrow custody battle all right I don’t know if you remember Ryan Harrow you might be too young but Kentucky guard also a Georgia State guard now with the amount of transfers going on this is going to be my bit moving forward um if you’re a player that’s played for teams that are going up against each other I’m going to call that out but in reality Georgia state’s just not very good kuy’s offense and pace is just so fun to watch right now they’re averaging 95 points per game on about 50% field goal shooting uh kuy is one of the best rebounding teams in the country they’re one of the best passing teams in the country I guess guy if you’re asking I I I truly don’t think I’m going to learn anything but if I’m looking for something I suppose just consistency keep up this great level of play Kentucky is top 20 by some metrics in both offensive and defensive rating like they’re a wagon right now they are they are a buzs saw but to be fair and I think it’s worth mentioning outside of Duke which counts right that’s a great win arguably still the win of the Season great win they haven’t played anyone else though Iowa state is the win of the Season I’m sorry Kentucky fans that iow wasir for Auburn that was a really fun game that was an awesome game I’m fair to I’m good with the push back but really the point that I’m making is with these gy stats that we’re seeing from Kentucky and a lot of these teams that get punched in in the mouth and slowed down after you know playing cupcakes uh just you know take it with a little grain of salt Duke’s their only top 100 opponent uh per Evan Mia but I mean look that that’s my only gripe if you will ky’s been tremendous to watch one of the most fun offenses to watch in the entire country yeah I do want to see Kobe BR play unlike you uh I want to see him get two plays drawn up for him he goes two for two from three brings that percentage back over 70 and then then he can take a seat I am the biggest proponent of Kobe Brea potentially in the entire college basketball sphere I’ve been saying this man is the best shooter in the country since about December 1st of last year I mean I I just love watching him go to work off the bounce off the pass right just finding an open shot it is a treat to watch him shoot the basketball and he he can actually do more than that which is why he’s such a terrifying player and why he’s able to average 15 points a game even though he’s not fully starting you know he he also averages four rebounds a game as a guard and yes he’s 6′ s but you know I think there are a lot of NBA teams who would like a 6′ s guy who can shoot like that and rebound the ball the way that he does we’ll get to that later right Kobe BR I think can play in the NBA the guy I’m looking for actually is is Jackson Robinson um but he he didn’t you know obviously he didn’t show a lot in the Duke game uh you know he wasn’t on the floor in crunch time but I I I you know the talents there we saw him play at BYU last year obviously and we’ve seen him had some have some good games in these buy games and I know this is another buy game and it’s not going to tell us very much no matter how well he plays but you know this is the guy who came in expecting to be be the star we expected egga OA to start on the bench and you know look at him he’s now you know leading this uh Kentucky team in points and not quite assists because uh Kirk Reese has got him there but uh also Steels you know he’s he’s one of the stars of this probably the biggest star of this Kentucky team other than the spotlight that Kobe gets for being Kobe Brea and being very cool um so I I’m looking for something of a Jackson Robinson breakout performance as much as you can have a breakout from a guy who’s already a star but you know to sort of cement himself as a Kentucky Star not a BYU star transfer that Mark Pope is bringing with him you kind of ruined my fun little trivia game guy because I was going to ask do you know who’s leading the team in a right now no it’s Kerr Kerr CA good for him man like I look if if there are Wildcat fans watching this I to him a wild cat of the Arizona Tucson variety all right so I’m very familiar with kir kesa and the roller coaster that is him I’m going to tell you right now you are going to get a roller coaster of emotions with kesa great right now for that though it’s fun when he’s not on your team all right like and who knows maybe he’s going to shove it back in my face because it seems as if anytime someone leaves Arizona they they flourish so maybe that’ll happen with Kerr but this is kind of sounding like when people said to me oh man you’re gon to get the Caleb love experience the highs and the lows and up until the postseason last year I was saying you know there’s a lot of highs right now and then obviously the postseason hdden he’s been on a drought really but Kira is a funny funny basketball player I’m pretty sure he pulled from the logo against Western Kentucky he hit it oh he did yeah like you can get away with stuff like that against Western Kentucky he had some big ball shot against Duke as well and he’s never going to be afraid of the moment I mean this is a dude who was delirious enough to go up against Luca donic and like talks back to Luca donic he does not care so these like Cooper flag and these folks like they don’t they don’t scare him for sure talking smack to Duke fans as well yeah he doesn’t give a damn dude like he he really there’s something about those Europeans man but the point that I’m making is he is playing pretty sound basket basketball right now and it seems as if he’s really found a home and a culture and back to contribute to winning like I rag on Kurt CA but he loves to win and he just wasn’t being able to contribute to a winning program in West Virginia last year he did at Arizona and now he’s back for a top 10 team team uh I’m I’m impressed and then I think from personal perspective my last bit of uh news I suppose or hopefulness for Georgia State I think I just hope the world gets introduced to clash Peters he only averages about 6 six minutes per game but what a name alltime name Clash Peters hopefully this is such a route in favor of Kentucky that we get some minutes from him I too would love to see Clash Peters play that is an incredible name the uh my last Personnel note is that I would like to see Lamont Butler score 30 points just because I like Lamont Butler nothing beyond that I just like 30 points that’s fair enough all right a peg or two I’m going to go Kentucky 99 Georgia State 75 I was going to say that they were going to break 100 I was going to say 102 to 76 so we’re on very similar pages with the margin of Victory here so Kentucky fans you’ve got a a very good potential blowout spot enjoy it because your schedule once you get into SEC play it’s going to get a lot more difficult and it’s going to get a lot more difficult even before SEC play you got Clemson you got Gonzaga you got obviously Louisville you got Ohio State here’s a sneaky game though Colgate doesn’t that feel like a 215 game that Kentucky could have in the NCA tournament you know I love Matt langle and I love Colgate and for the last two years I’ve been saying watch out for these guys they they work you hard and honestly five years straight I’ve picked Colgate to win their first round game in my bracket they’ve if you actually look at it they’ve gotten smoked in their games like I think I think they the last time they challenged a team was either Baylor or Arkansas I remember Arkansas for sure point that I’m making though is I do like Matt langle but I don’t know Colgate more is more of a name now and and like we’re just sort of nostalgic for them but the others I totally agree with you well since Tucker Richardson graduated you know he was the best player in Patriot Patriot league history uh anyway lot the point is you gotta
