we’re really doing this Kyle Tucker trade talk legit Kyle Tucker trade talk let’s get into it we have some New York Post articles and from it we’re going to talk about some potential trades but let’s dig into the articles that have gotten us to the point of this video yesterday in the New York Post Matt ehhalt with a article headlined Astros Kyle Tucker lands on the trade block as a possible Plan B for teams like the Yankees who are Runner ups for Juan stto in the article talked about how Dana Brown says that the Astros are willing to listen to trade offers for Valdez and Kyle Tucker we had talked about Valdez for a while now but Tucker seems like a new one according to Brown quote you would listen on all players I don’t think you would turn a deaf ear to any of these guys now that doesn’t indicate that a trade is coming but then we have today so sometimes the hand is forced and if Dana Brown is listening and the offers come along to get the job done then we go down that road Joel Sherman in the New York Post this morning Yankees in Hot Pursuit of a Kyle Tucker trade and they’re going to have to beat out the Phillies the Giants and the Cubs let’s look into this article more and more it appears that the Astros are open to trading open to take some us to another level from just listening to trade talk to open to trade talk those are two completely different things that’s an upgrade if you’re looking to see Kyle Tucker getting traded Yankees are among team’s most seriously pursuing Kyle Tucker Yankees though might not be the most determined pursuer of Tucker as the winter meetings near an end Cubs are seen as a strong player uh Giants are also involved in talks with the Astros and the had been among teams that at least inquired and tried to find a package that would work with the Astros so we’ve got four teams and also in this article we got what the Astros are looking for they are prioritizing Major League ready corner infielders and starting pitching if they move Tucker so we’re going to present some trades that would bring them corner infielders and starting pitching now to add even more to this from a Yankee perspective retweeting the Joel Sherman and adding context John morosi he seen here Brian Cashman was on MLB Network this morning and said that signing a starting pitcher creates pitching depth from which the Yankees can trade after the max freed signing now maybe Luis heel is available it’s been said that the Astros like Luise heel does that happen so we’ve got a lot to work with here as we bring and and we and we consider the thought of a Kyle Tucker trade to life so what would the trade package be for the Phillies the Yankees the Giants the Cubs to maybe get it done we’re going to try to find some trades that work with matching the values and to do that we are going to bring in our third party baseb trade values to try to get it done a $ 31.4 million value is what the trade values machine has assigned to Kyle Tucker so that is going to be the goal with all of these trades first up the Chicago Cubs Cubs in trade a by the way we’re going to have for three of the four an A and A B option you’re going to your job is to comment down below and which which trade work works for you out of A and B so first up the Cubs option A Tucker four cam Smith Corner infielder getting close Cole mathys Prospect little bit farther away and Jordan Wix pitching that gets immediately inserted into the equation you get the number eight and the number 12 Prospect and Wix is no longer a ranked Prospect he has been up for too long but you’re getting your corner midfielders and you’re getting your pitching 31.4 million in Kyle Tucker heads to the Cubs and 30.8 million in value heads to the Houston Astros Astros fans probably don’t like this trade Cubs fans I think you sign up for it and you say yep even though Kyle Tucker may only be here for one year I’m willing to do that we keep Matt Shaw we we keep everybody that I care about we keep Kate Horton Ben Brown they all stay and we get Kyle Tucker sign me up Cubs fans you probably say yes to this Astros fans you probably say no well that’s why we have an option b option b is not going to be as friendly to Cubs fans sorry in this trade Astros get Kade Horton the number one Prospect in the Cubs organization according to Baseball America Cole matthysse is still here he’s the number 12 Prospect as a reminder and we’re adding Hayden McGary in Hayden McGary is farther back but he is closer to being Major League ready or or is Major League ready and is your corner midfielder so you get your pitcher you get your quarter infielder you get a prospect and you’re getting 30.4 million in value in return for Kyle Tucker who could be gone at the end of and it will likely let’s let’s let’s not let’s not uh tiptoe around it there is no could be gone when it comes to Kyle Tucker he will be gone and at least you have pieces for now and you have pieces for the future that’s the goal here comment down below which one would you prefer a or or B I’m interested to see which K I can I’ll be able to tell fan bases here if it’s a strong Cubs and a I know we got a lot of cubs viewers it’s a if it’s a strong Astros and B I’ll know we had more Astros fans so there’s the Cubs leading off next up the San Francisco Giants we are going to do an A and A B option here as well and in this one the a option I think is going to be more preferable to Astros fans and the B option will be more preferable to Giants fans so option A Tucker to the Giants and only Tucker for four pieces the Houston Astros would get Marco Luciano Hayden Birdsong Joel Whitman and LaMont Wade Wade is a free agent at the end of the 2025 season but he’s an onbase machine he would fill your first base rooll I mean he’d be a great piece at the top of that lineup you get Luciano you’re going to have to work with him he is a a top prospect that has had trouble getting his footing so you’re going have to work with him Bird song bird song uh was the number six Prospect by Baseball America at the beginning of the 2024 season he was removed uh because he was called up and he played enough to where he is no longer ranked as a prospect but last Prospect ranking checkin we have with Hayden Birdsong so he was number six and Whitman is currently number 10 so you’re getting two pitchers two position players one of them you’re going to lose at the end of the year but you will not have a situation where Kyle Tucker leaves and you are sitting there empty-handed if you’re sitting there with Wade for this year and then three more pieces and Wade would be a likely candidate to be resigned then you’re in a much better shape again for now and for the future that’s what we’re talking about that’s what Dana Brown is talking about so this was a again this is the one I think Astros fans would be into B I think Giants fans are going to be more happy about we only have two pieces here because again we are running with baseball trade values and how they have evaluated and valued the players we’re just trying to match the 31.4 in this deal bird song is back and we have Tyler Fitzgerald position player everyday guy showed up in San Francisco last year well the year before but really emerged exploded last year for the San Francisco Giants go look up his numbers if you’re an Astros fan I think maybe you feel a little bit better getting Tyler Fitzgerald what he did last year now that’s not I don’t think who he is all the time but if that’s what he can be you get him you get bird song you get pieces for now pieces for the future and Kyle Tucker’s leaving in a year this probably works again Astros fans I don’t know if you’d be that into it but I think Giants fans would probably sign up for this trade and in this one the Astros by the value was signed in baseball trade values the Astros actually win this one 31.7 million in value coming back for 31.4 headed out the door Moving On Again comment down below out of those two which one are you taking Yankees are next you thought we’d probably save the Yankees for last right because all of this is generated thanks to all of the news and the talk around the Yankees we’re going to put the Yankees here at number three the Phillies will have to wait so the New York Yankees to get Kyle Tucker we have again an option a and an option b for King Tuck to ascend to the throne in the Bronx I’m sorry I could not help myself so let’s go Tucker boy could you imagine Tucker and judge by the way that’d be pretty good so option A we’re going to have two pieces you see you see it on the board there two pieces going to the Houston Astros Luis heel and Everson Pereira Luis heels value is high enough to where along with Pereira who really doesn’t have a ton of value anymore uh boosts the value above what Kyle Tucker is sending to the New York Yankees you get Luis heel you get all those years of control you get the alsi young or not the alsi young Al Rookie of the Year winner you’re getting your pitching for several years you’re getting a a bat that you can work in and give a shot to part of the problem with everon Pereira is he has not had a chance to play with the Yankees you give him an everyday role with the Astros as he’s maybe taking over for Kyle Tucker in right field and maybe Everson Pereira is a stud we don’t know he has not been given he’s been hurt and he hasn’t had the opportunity so this is option A and are you doing it Yankee fans Yankee fans probably are a little torn on the idea of giving up Luis heel even after signing Max freed but look as Boon said you go get Max freed you now have depth to deal from and if you feel good like you can extend Kyle Tucker because look the full court press would have to be on to extend Kyle Tucker right you don’t want to go through the same thing you just went through with SoDo so that keep that in mind too on all of these trades keep in mind the elements of a deal uh trying be worked out I I think it would be a long shot if I’m being truthful uh I’m not just trying to sell a a blue sky painting for you it would be a long shot uh but it would have to be something that the teams would be would be trying to get done uh before the season began so you would have Tucker for he and Pereira option a option b for the Yankees here uh I’m not sure how Astros fans would go with this one um I’m actually not sure how Yankee fans would feel let’s go let’s put it on the board option b here’s Spencer Jones Spencer Jones and will Ward we remove Luis heel from the equation and we have Jones Warren and Pereira we’re not giving the Yankees the corner or I’m sorry we’re not giving the Astros the corner infielder that they’re looking for here uh they will have to secure that in another fashion but we’re looking at Spencer Jones one of the top prospects in all baseball we’re looking at will Warren is ready to be inserted and deployed regularly at the major league level at this point and Everson Pereira is still here another another Prospect another outfielder uh to work into the equation so altogether we get a 31.3 million doll value going to Houston for those three pieces we we don’t get the corner infielder here but that’s really because if we are grabbing now look maybe you throw in a corner infielder with some low value but that’s kind of the trouble the Yankees really don’t have the corner infielders like you would need to get a third team involved if you wanted to send a corner infielder as part of a trade where the Yankees are getting Tucker because the Yankees are that’s what they’re looking for right now is Corner infielders they need a first baseman and they need a third baseman so the Yankees are almost at a disadvantage from that standpoint in what the Astros are looking for in return but what we can do is we can load them up with Talent let’s keep going there’s the Yankees trades A and B comment below which one you prefer and let’s go to the Philadelphia Phillies do the Phillies have the best package that they can put forward they might this is the one team I said uh three out of the four teams we would be doing an A and A B option for the Philadelphia Phillies we don’t need to do that let’s go Philadelphia Phillies get Kyle Tucker and send to Houston you see it coming right the writing’s on the wall you already know who’s going to Houston in this trade Alec B on his way to Houston along with two pitching prospects Jean Cabrera and Mell M aell was at one time one of the top prospects in the Phillies organization but he struggled last year so Houston’s going to have to get him back on track because of the struggles it’s not just bom and abelle you are also including Jean Cabrera the number eight Prospect in the organization so you get two pitching pieces and you get Alec bow who is your starting third baseman this year and next year and you maybe try to work out an extension to avoid him walking at the end of the 2026 season but you at least get the two years for B and you get a ton of uh years in control with Cabrera and Abell to bring them along in your system I feel like if you’re Houston and you are looking for the pitching and you’re looking for the third baseman the everyday elements of the two the third basem of the pitching I think would lean more towards a third baseman you need a third baseman as far as pitching goes if you trade Kyle Tucker maybe you’re holding on to framber Valdez and the pitching the right now pitching is not as important as the right now third baseman is and the Philadelphia Phillies come through with a beautiful package here 30.6 million goes to Houston 31.4 million goes to the Philadelphia Phillies I I know it it’s short about a million dollars but it works it works comment down below Kyle Tucker trade talk is picking up I didn’t think we’d get here I thought we’d have a lot of framber Valdez trade talk but sometimes the teams trying to acquire the talent can force the issue and it sounds like the Yankees are going to force the issue and if the Yankees are forcing the issue then the Phillies the Giants the Cubs and anybody else that has interest is going to like wait wait wait wait wait hold on pause time out we we need to talk but before you go if this is re if he can be had we need to talk you know there are teams that are going to do that the Atlanta Braves would stand up and run in there there there are a ton the Dodgers would probably stand up and run in there and say wait a minute pause so let’s see where this goes it’s going to be fascinating to track be interesting to see see if Dana Brown at some point shoots it down but right now there’s a lot of interest around this man and
