last night marking his first power play point since returning from injury that’s a positive sign for us especially considering he’s produced three multi-point games in the last five outings however it’s hard to overlook his minus two rating from the game it feels like there’s a lot of pressure on him to carry the team and while he’s doing his best we need everyone to step up defensively Mitch Marner though is on a tear he scored his 10th goal of the season and added a power play assist extending his incredible point streak to 17 out of the last 19 games even when the team hits a rough patch Marner keeps delivering but let’s be real we need him to keep this momentum going he’s on track to potentially break the 100 point mark this season which would be a Monumental achievement especially as he’s angling for a new contract I mean can you imagine how that would feel it’s something every fan would love to see then there’s William neander who also shown last night with a power play goal his ability to find the net consistently is a massive asset for this team with 17 goals already this season he’s on Pace for a potential 50-goal campaign his chemistry with Marner and Matthews is undeniable and that Trio needs to capitalize on every opportunity but I can’t help but wonder is it enough are we relying too heavily on our star players to carry the loow let’s talk about Joseph wall his six-game winning streak came to an end last night and while he made 24 saves it’s tough to see the final score inflate with two empty net goals W has been reliable allowing no more than three goals in nine of his last outings with a 2.20 goals against average and a919 save percentage he’s shown he can hold the fort but with Anthony star slated to start our next game I can’t help but feel a bit uneasy is this the right move will stals deliver the stability we need as we navigate these tricky Waters as fans we’re all feeling the weight of these back-to-back losses after a strong run of 10 wins in 12 games it’s disheartening to see us falter like this the upcoming match against the New Jersey Devils is crucial we need to tighten up our special teams and bolster our overall defense game it’s going to be a test of character for this squad can they rally together or will we see more of the same I want to hear from you the passionate Leafs fans what do you think are scoring his 11th goal of the Season Steves not only put the puck in the net but also secured his 169th Point as a Marley making him the franchise’s all-time leading scorer that’s impressive stuff folks now let’s take a moment to think about what this means for both Steves and and the Leafs he signed a one-year extension with Toronto in the off season hoping for a shot at the big Club but here’s the kicker despite some injury struggles on the Leaf’s side he only managed to play in four NHL games meanwhile younger players like Fraser Minon and Nikita greenin have seized their opportunities leaving Steves in the dust I mean it’s tough to watch a talent like him not get the ice time he deserves especially when he been lighting it up in the AHL when Steves was called up he found himself mainly on the fourth line where he collected just one assist in those limited appearances it’s hard to Showcase your skill set when you’re not given the chance to play the game you love in a position where you can Thrive you have to wonder was it the right decision to keep him in that role when he could be dominating in the AHL I’m honestly divided on this one Steves has expressed a clear desire to remain in Toronto but the reality is that if he continues to be sidelined in favor of others he might consider exploring his options as a group 6 UFA and who could blame him every player wants to Showcase their talent and contribute to a winning team the last thing we want is to see a player with his potential end up elsewhere possibly thriving while we’re left wondering what if having joined the Leafs on an entry-level contract back in 2022 to after an impressive collegiate career at notra Dame he’s been one of the standout offensive players for the Marley’s since day one his ability to score and create plays is undeniable and it’s a shame that he hasn’t been able to translate that into sustained success at the NHL level yet now as we look ahead it’s going to be fascinating to see how the Leafs navigate the rest of the season injuries are bound to happen and when they do will Steves finally get get that opportunity he’s been waiting for or will he continue to break records for the Marley’s while the Leafs search for answers elsewhere it’s a tough spot for a fan to be in feeling both pride and frustration simultaneously so what do you think is retaining
