Manchester City there’s six points behind leaders Liverpool but having played a game more than those around them today it has been weatherwise out here but Nicholas you didn’t have it all your own way out like that let’s go back to the start though and see how it played out in that first half pie it was Nicholas Jackson you opened the scoring but from leicester’s point of view it was completely avoidable yeah it was really disappointing from Lester’s point of view you have to hand it to to Nicholas Jackson was a fantastic finish um great bit of skill and a great finish but defensively fast I’m I just don’t know what he was doing I think certainly you know it’s a big long clearance from them uh Chelsea Chelsea get it back in there and you know f is on the front foot there he just got go through the back of um of Nicholas Jackson even if he gives away a foul it’s better than what come comes of it um you know he had opportunities to clear the ball and uh really really poor from his point of view but the perseverance it was great Center forward play from from Nicholas Jackson and a great finish yeah it was stunning Center forward play you know this touch here where you just take it away and then it look you’ll see it better from this angle here they wrestling away wrestling away but then then the Artistry comes into it just here look lovely little touch and then to Just Adjust his body and just stroke it into the side netting he’s been accused of of of lacking in he finishing but that was Exquisite what do you think of the way he’s developing now as a premier league Striker Peter as Joel said he he did get a lot of stick didn’t he initially yeah well a credit to to him obviously he’s worked at his game you know must have done I think and credit to the club really because I mean last year he was getting so much stick from from all different quarters and you know is he is he going to be a center forward of of the caliber the Chelsea need um but he’s proven it this season you know with the number of goals with his all round play as well he’s a handful all the time so really impressive today have they got a n Chris f in kungu problem now though Joel because obviously Jackson is the number one choice in in that Premier League team now and we’re hearing reports that he’s not happy and perhaps wants to move away if the biggest problem come out of Chelsea is is a couple of players being unhappy and not get enough game time then you know the club’s in a healthy position and cuckoo gives you something different to Jackson Jackson’s Jackson’s a spinner he runs in behind he’s aggressive he can do he can do a lot anduku is very clean he’s a good finisher he can play in the number 10 he could play off either side so I think they can complement each other and they will both get game time I don’t mind it when players like let let themselves know that they’re not happy they not playing it’ just be about how does he conduct himself and when I look at Enzo moresa the manager I know that he’ll be dealing with that situation and unuku standards won’t be allowed to to slip and he’s playing European football he comes in keeps scoring these goals he will get his opportunity to play but if you’re going to win a title which ultimately Chelsea has to what have this team has to be looking with that as as a goal because of the the amount of money spent in the future then they have to have competition and there will be players who are a little bit unhappy and you have to fight and you’re all going for the same goal yeah they certainly have it in the Midfield as well after Enzo Fernandez’s performance today Peter got the goal to to add to that assist yeah brilliant I thought he was uh he was fantastic today Enzo Fernandez but you know they compliment each other as well and you know they’ve been they’ve traveled a long way coedo and and Enzo Fernandez played in in in two games what international Duty um and he’s had some criticism Enzo Fernand is you know from his performances um again a big price tag but I thought he was fantastic today um some of his passing always looking forward breaking up play links the play so well always wins the ball and um I thought Kar another another player who played really really well but um he deserved his goal today and Z Fernandez was this almost the perfect game for him Joe and would you still be looking at sticking with with Lavia for those games against the top sides because of the stability that you get with him and cedo I I think you have a sh we we have looked more balanced with Lavia and cedo in and Enzo was was was was the person who fell foul of that you know he lost his plays but what he brings is he brings a a quality of class and he’s he’s more probing with his passing than the other two um but he does everything well which what you would expect from a World Cup winner he’s a he needed this game for himself and his confidence and his belief again like I say though he he played six months in Europe and someone bought him for 100 million in the Premier League it’s a that’s a big burden young shoulders and then you win the world cup and that adds to the burden you come to a different country with a different manager in a in a club which was in turmoil let’s let’s be honest like there was a lot of change at Chelsea which is so it’s coming and now like everything that was said he needed time to just bed in adjust he was brilliant look at 55 passes he he was getting in all areas of the pitch he was probing um I thought I I I thought he the Midfield of Leicester could not get near him on so many occasions he’s just peeling off into the angles receiving the ball on the back foot all of the good things that good technicians can do he done it excellently and and he has a shout he would want to play I think three of them plus drewsbury Hall coming in because he plays well when he plays as well Chelsea’s got four Central midfielders there an embarrassment of riches in that area now yeah I think I think it is and it’s but and what is happening now is they’re pushing each other because Lavia will be sitting on the bench probably very comfortable and then he sees Enzo come in score a goal make assist man of the match then they’ be thinking I need to be at it in training if I’m going to play next week and then that roles and that roles and that becomes a culture and then you keep on winning games and then confidence breeds and it’s and Chelsea going in that direction how confident can Chelsea be now with finishing in that top four when you look at where they’re sitting now yeah very confident and you know look at certain other teams as well you falling away you know have have been disappointed in this season as well so I think they’ve got good as chances any and you know definitely put them in the in the top four I think the the biggest things like what Joe says is uh the competition replaces you know if you if a player comes out or gets injured you feel that there’s a there’s a more than adequate replacement in in most positions and is it a case of keeping everyone happy as much as you possibly can until they win that Champions League Play backat Joe because then when you’re back in that top competition the rotation is not going to be S such an issue because you’re going to need everybody yeah but but it’s actually easier to keep the lads happy they’re going to be playing football footballers want to play football the majority of them you know so European kns Enzo can change the whole team we see the game game against Noah 8 nil the other game against the other team changed everyone so they all get in minutes we’ll get into November December and there won’t be many in the Chelsea Squad who haven’t played a decent at Leicester things are really start yeah job well done by those two and particularly Enzo Fernandez who assisted and scored in the Premier League in the same game for the first time uh in his time in England and Chelsea if you look at their results where they’ve dropped points you could say carelessly along you know against the likes of non forest and Crystal Palace today they didn’t quite have it all their own way particularly with their dominant first half but they come away with the points and was that a case of job done in the end Ena victory was very important to to keep the pressure on City and Liverpool and to improve even more you know the the last result but um for me I didn’t like the approach of leer the first 30 minute of the game I think as I said they show too much respect to Chelsea but as we said before I think Chelsea should have won down that game easily with more goals yeah they started so strongly Enz mesa’s side 15 minutes in how surprising was it to see Chelsea Take the Lead well no we were just waiting for it to to come really I mean it’s it’s a long ball from B Ai and to be fair without F he just got to do better you just got to be stronger he’s got to pass it back to the goalkeeper clear do something just don’t do what you were doing and to be Enzo Enzo does kind of really well to keep the ball alive but the one thing I would say is he sees Jacks he’s got him from he knows what’s coming he gets too tight there okay pass it back kick it be strong just do do something different than what you’re doing brilliant touch and finish from from use your body and then he moans I mean it’s like you’re the one who made the mistake you know he’s got four chances at this Minish four I mean just bad defending but great skill from ja that finish he’s so calm now I love that little flick over Ai and great finish he’s a player in form he’s he’s class he’s only getting better he’s only he’s only a young man goals and assists he’s he’s flying at the moment and while he had a lot to do Enzo Fernandez provided what will go down as the assist for that opening goal and then he got in on the app for the second I mean he won the Chen end you know he put a great hitter great save from the goalkeeper but the only one that was following the action is an and I don’t understand why look at at this picture you know the screen look how many Defenders work into the penalty area nobody’s following you know the action where is that lack of urgency commitment I mean if you’re dedicated to your team and you you anger not to ConEd goals that kind of action you know then Chelsea players should not have taking you know the second balls and this will come as a frustration really for Enzo they almost held on to a clean sheet but then conceded a late penalty yeah but just bit more positive play from lesser forward passing forward run gets him behind lvia is just a little bit late clumsy on deot re and it’s obviously a clear penalty but from open play they barely created anything that’s a bit of a mistake from lvia easily easy decision for the referee to make I’m not sure why they took so long but um an aou with you know was not a brilant py and again sanch you think he could possibly save that it’s in it’s in a a decent area yeah does that put almost um unreflected gloss on the game itself that what the that penalty yeah because I think the cing sheet was important you know I know that uh I’m pretty sure that Marisa will be very happy about that because for the last two or three minute of the game you know you could imagine you know come back from ler so a game that you should have won easily so yes um clean sheet with the few occasion that Chelsea had to score goals I think you should get away you know from this game without considering Go I mean before that penalty was given leester had another penalty shout just before um former leester player Wesley for finally involved in with this tussle with Stephie madidi how did you read that yeah I I didn’t think it was penalty I thought the referee’s got that spot on you know I think in you know fana gets in a difficult position you know but I I don’t think he doesn’t his momentum’s going that way I don’t think it’s a foul it’s a good little chop but he’s got nowhere to go for far and I I don’t think he’s he kicks out or anything like that so I think that would have been harsh I thought the referee’s got that one right I think for stop his run you know and his body you know and uh I think uh it’s the ler player will get into him you know yeah I suppose a lack of ruthlessness stopped chance from adding to the two goals that they scored in fact they they might have their own players to blame on on some occasions m seem to get in each other’s way well madai in particular I was a little bit annoyed and I think we both been annoyed by madai sometimes because uh he looks a little bit too individual sometimes theor he forgets his teammates and uh Co Palmer always try he has a very good connection with him but he doesn’t get the same thing in written he’s trying to get out of the way isn’t he just he’s just a bit late yeah he’s just in the way to to be again another good save and goalkeeper I mean it looks it looks mad because you just you normally seen that in High Park when guys are playing football not normally in uh in a game in a Premier League game but to be fair Co Palmer looks PR I I I agree with Manu madw is a really good player but he releases the ball a little bit too late sometimes he’s got to play his teammates in quicker much has been said about the way Chelsea have had to open their account in the Premier League this season with a new manager new game plan and approach but they have played six of the top eight um amongst the fixtures so far but look what else is still to come Villa clearly is quite a big game Southampton Spurs brenford Everton with one loss in their last 11 in the Premier League is there scope here for them to get some momentum going that’s why I disagree with the win he doesn’t see Chelsea you know competing for the Premier League no I still don’t you still don’t no even though you you’ll only lose one of them with all the game they have played so far against top team and they are third I think there’s only six points be behind Liverpool Liverpool is playing against Tottenham Spurs now right uh this weekend no they’re playing Southampton oh yeah Liverpool playing sou yeah well but they play very tough game from the start of se you know remember the first game was against cat they lost it so I still believe when I look at the schedule especially starting from January 2020 2025 they all affordable you know it’s it means all three points all the time so that means if they can continue on Christmas time what they’re doing it will be a big threat from Chelsea in the title race yes yes the blues one nil up at halim Joe and Peter watching with me the goal had been coming as well it was nailing first first and foremost there and then the opportunities to clear it and Jackson does brilliantly perseveres and um and a great finish yeah we were saying he’s a handful Jackson at this point but this is this excites me L look at that it’s Exquisite and then the ability to just wrap his leg and just put it into the side n outside of the boot he’s come on a bundle this season Nicholas Jackson that’s a player playing at the height of his confidence yeah really grown into that Chelsea shirt hasn’t he leester though for most of that half just far too easy to to play against Joe weren’t they but there were positive signs towards the end of the half for 38 minutes they were passive they wasn’t getting up against the ball they they look if you look at this clip here this is the foot there and just hit the target but it changes that man ation because there was glimpses but the first 38 minutes they was really really poor L yeah they were Chelsea were so comfortable up until that that 38th minute welcome back halftime at the King Power Stadium Chelsea leading Leicester by the odd goal judging on that first half Chelsea have clearly been the dominant Force they’ve had eight shots Two On Target um expected goals is just under one but Corner kicks completed passes they’ve outwitted Leicester in much of those um statistics after 15 minutes they began like a a real train really against Leicester and the pressure told right through Nicholas Jackson mhm yeah the first goal he score you know um we can SP for ages about F mistakes again but um he challenged the ball you know he looked strong physically you know and uh he looks stars as well to get to get the ball and the way the first touch you know to avoid the last Defender is brilliant and after that you know he’s he has the the Lucidity you know to to get the strike you know on the opposite side but the way won the ball from FES honestly and then this first touch you know is beautiful remarkable oh and leer not helping themselves here no I mean got to stop giving away goals I mean cred Enzo he there you know and he just helps it on but the touch from Jackson is class brilliant and and the finishes is is is absolute pitcher perfect was a brilliant goal but again man who said before the game can’t make silly mistakes the silly mistake from Fast just pass it back to the goalkeeper of clear clear your lines one more excluding penalties Nicholas Jackson joint second along with Yan vissa and chriswood behind erling Harland I mean he is having a terrific season that’s already his fifth goal away from home he’s had seven goal involvements on the road yeah to be fair you’ll probably get a couple more I think in this game Cole Palmer’s playing some brilliant passes talking of Cole Palmer involved in a key incident in that first half with Wilford and Dei there were calls from the Chelsea bench for the Leicester man to be sent off how how did you read this manner for me the rules are simple if you challenge a bad Challenge from behind especially this one you know um on this area on the ules you know it’s very painful and we spoke about that when we are watching this action and to be honest with you referees should protect you know the top players you know in every single competition and for me K is the best player actually in the Premier League so for me it’s a red carard definitely V are looked at it but said there was a lack of intensity in the challenge I I I I can understand that but again I think I’m with Manu in the sense he’s he’s nowhere near the ball indeed like nowhere near and when you s that’s the most vulnerable place for you your ailles there’s no protection there Cole’s obviously he knows he’s there but he’s not anticipating a bad challenge like that I mean I think he’s lucky inde it’s a bad challenge you’re not happy with that decision well I think uh that it won’t stop Chelsea to win that game okay uh Chelsea could have been 2-0 up at halim non madai um had the ball in the net in fact it was a decent finish but kukara just marginally offside just centimeters you know offside so that’s annoying me the most you know in football rules but uh it was offside definitely but look at the pass from Cole Palmer it’s clinical how influential has Palmer been really just get him the ball you he’ll win you the game that was a that was a beautiful goal look at the way to he has to hit that that hard cuz you know he knows as the Defenders in the way Kar just fraction up he should be on but the first touch is beautiful brilliant run for Mad wakei inside fabulous goal they probably deserve the second Chelsea yeah it looks like you know the US sport you know the quarterback you know when he does that you know yeah SE teamates running and then give the ball in the space the same way you know Tom Brady
