to cover up all the names pay no attention to the weird team names on your screen we’re just going to scroll through Yahoo’s top 150 talk about anybody that might be a Sit start anybody with an injury game time whatever tag Luca donic is out fron Vagner is out lamelo ball for me is in Devin Booker is out Dyson Daniels is sick he missed both games for the Hawks this weekend I’m hoping that he’s back they’ve got two days off before a game on Wednesday and a back toback next Friday Saturday so I would start Dyson Daniels next week Chad homr obviously out Giannis has been out with an illness here lately for a little bit himself this this upper respiratory thing that’s nailing the NBA has taken some prisoners Giannis three- game week Tuesday Thursday Saturday this coming stretch I’m going to start him I think these two days off ought to be enough to get him back and two out of Giannis would be enough even if he missed Tuesday I’d be floored if he’s not back by Tuesday or by Thursday christops porzingis uh he’s questionable for the game on Sunday which is going to start here in just a little bit if he gets ruled in great that decision gets made for us if he gets ruled out I think I’d still start him Boston has one of the better schedules in the league here coming up yeah he probably sits one half of the backtack uh but again I think a worst case scenario for porzingis this coming week is you get that game in Houston on Friday and at Oklahoma on Sunday and my my expectation as he probably plays on Tuesday also but of course this gets much easier if he gets ruled in on Sunday LeBron is the latest to deal with the illness I think he’ll be better in time for the Lakers next game but again you’re going to get at least two out of Bron probably three they’ve got a good schedule this coming week um especially when you think about some of the opponents in the middle there Portland and Atlanta will be some high-scoring games Houston and Cleveland uh much better defensively um but I you know the Lakers playing well right now and they’re Juiced up they just made a trade John Collins is a hard one for me um he’s missed now how many games in a row has he missed all of a sudden that’s three it’s this hip thing he’s dealing with um they play again tomorrow Wednesday and then Saturday Sunday but we don’t really know and that’s the thing like he might be back we might get him for three or even four of those games but I just don’t know he’s been good enough where if you think you’re going to get two and a half games out of Collins that’s sort of like the the cut off here then you’d probably start him but he might just vanish for a week and then we’re going to feel silly if he gets ruled in so here’s what you can do the nice thing is they play on Monday so you will have information on colins’s next game before you have to deploy him it’s a home game against Denver so yeah you got mountain time there so it’s you know not the early game on The Ledger but hopefully you get a John Collins update on Monday I think if he’s out on Monday you bench him for the week if he’s in you start him so that’s one of those guys where I say he’s a Monday call Jimmy Butler should be back this week he’s a start for me Trey young is listed as probable for Sunday so he’s a start this well T een just keeps missing time um he’s questionable for this game for the rockets on Sunday it’s another one where hopefully we’ll get a little bit more information because then they’re off all the way until Wednesday of this coming week he is a guy that to me you do whatever Sunday says if he’s in on Sunday you start him this week if he’s out you bench him this week because you don’t want to take a zero yaka purle same call if he’s in on Sunday it sounds like he made it through practice then you start him if he’s out they got a back toback Tuesday Wednesday and then they play Friday I don’t know that he plays in the back toback so this might be a two game week for yakob um so again I think whatever happens on Sunday that’s what I do for the week one of the hardest calls is Brandon Miller right now um because it’s an ankle thing and that kept him out for a few games then he played a ton of minutes and then he was back out again they do play on Monday but Charlotte is in the midst of one of the bad scheduling stretches in the NBA right now because then they’re off Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday so uh Brandon Miller is another Monday call if he’s in on Monday great you get three games out of him if he’s out I I think you bench him because then at that point two is your best case scenario Jordan p uh you know they said it was a hip thing I feel like maybe they just wanted to give him a day off um same deal they’ve got a four game week starts on Monday so you’ll get a nice opportunity to get some information on pool it’s the first game on the card I believe on Monday so you’ll definitely know what his status is before your weekly lock happens if he’s in great you don’t have to think about it they don’t have any back-to-backs this coming week if he’s out you probably bench him because then you’re talking about three max which would be enough for him he’s been good enough where three is good but you just don’t want to get caught with a one or two game week or even a zero Jordan pool’s a tough one too Santi alama’s listed is week to week so so he’s out let’s keep going Larry Nance Jr out for a little while John Morant hasn’t been evaluated yet they said he was going to be evaluated on his shoulder in the coming days uh so my guess is that you’re getting two games Max this coming week so he stays on my bench Brandon Ingram is on my bench Paulo’s on my bench I’m not even going to talk about Robert Williams Royce O’Neal was going to be a nice villain but he busted an ankle so he is also on my bench Lou Dort uh ankle situation kept him out of the last one and we’re now starting to get into the part of the board where if you have anything going on then you shouldn’t be in a lineup cuz you’re just not good enough Dort has a four-game week though Oklahoma City’s in a really good run right now and they don’t play until Tuesday that said I can’t risk it he’s not good enough to risk it Dort stays on my bench let’s keep going a little bit farther Cas Wallace don’t care Alvarado don’t care Derek Lively is an interesting one because he’s been playing really well lately and he’s missed a couple of ball games in a row with a hip injury uh he got ruled out about fiveish six hours before game time it’s unclear when he’s coming back Dallas does play Monday but it’s only a three game week you know the drill he’s a Monday call if he’s in on Monday great if he’s out you bench him IO dumu is out for a week and a half so that’s an easy one Drew holiday is not an easy one one this shoulder thing is a little upsetting he doesn’t play until Tuesday I think you got to bench him I know that sucks with a four game week but I don’t think you can take that risk let’s just go a tiny bit farther uh Obi toppen I’m not going to risk it Caruso no Dorian FY Smith just got traded ano kongu might be back and we’ll know by this game on Sunday but it’s only a three- game week so even if he’s back do we really want to start him it’s a dicey play uh I don’t think he’s good enough and that is that for our weekly calls let’s switch over to the streaming board let me see if I move my face around a little bit does that help at all think I need to I think I need to create a new board in streamyard I wonder if I can do it on the Fly what are you guys going to see can I move this thing up can I move my shared window higher nope that’s not it is it oh here we go I think I can do this on the Fly oh there it is and now maybe I can shrink my own head a little bit there you go you know guys you guys don’t need to see my face at all boom how about that yeah that’s custom layout 4 oh it didn’t even show up there we go that’s bad podcasting but I just I wanted to do it so I made my face really small uh I made the the viewing window for for the the streaming board a tiny bit bigger it was a lot of effort for um almost no payoff but here’s the streaming board for week 11 as I mentioned during the opener of the show every single team has between or every single day has between six and nine games this week there is only one team with what you’d call a traditionally bad schedule that’s the Phoenix Suns and then there are some teams that have kind of uh like a semi ER semi not schedule I know that was uh good talking on my part um the Let’s do let’s just start with Fe h no I kind of want to go the other way so um the teams that have semis phrasing semi bad schedules are the Lakers the Bucks the Blazers the Hornets and the Pistons um the Lakers uh one game to start the week but then they have a really nice backloaded schedule so Chuck that out the window um Milwaukee has three games this week but it’s every other day so you’re kind of stuck just waiting it through um it’s not like a it’s not a terrible spot but you know it’s not the best I guess this is this sort of stretches a little bit earlier uh scratch that scratch the the Milwaukee one off the board that’s not even really fair um Portland has kind of a weird middle of the week they play on Monday but then they only have one game over four days two games over the final six days of the week so it gets not great after the first game you could probably find some options in there that would increase your number by uh two like Boston they got four games over that stretch they’re not the only team that goes that way um who are the other teams I just said um Charlotte and Detroit have a little bit of a weird thing Charlotte plays on Monday then they’re off for three days so much like Portland we just talked about they got two games over the final six but there’s an easier Gap in the middle if you wanted to uh budget it that way and then Detroit one game over four days to start the week but then they roll into a five game and seven day stretch after that so those are the semi bad schedules and as we talked about there’s ways around it like for Detroit you probably want to abandon ship on Monday and then come back on Friday and we’ll talk through how to do that in a minute um for Charlotte you would abandon ship on Tuesday and pick up any team that’s playing four times the rest of the week so Boston Falls in that bucket do anybody else actually might only be Boston come to think of it uh OKC is another one and that’s it so you’d go Boston or Oklahoma City after sitting through Detroit’s first game of the week um Portland you could do the same thing so Portland OR Detroit you you ride it through Monday and then you move to Boston or Oklahoma City starting on Tuesday and you get a two game bump over those six days you guys know this about me when we talk about streaming I’m talking about long streaming I don’t think it’s that critical on a weekly preview show for me to give you the names of the players you could potentially use because it’s probably going to change between now and Tuesday Wednesday Thursday whatever like someone’s going to be out someone’s going to be in the list of streamables is different like clearly if you’re looking at Boston uh you know you’re talking about guys like Sam Hower you’re talking about you’re not talking about Al Horford you might look at like a Luke cornette depending on what big guys get rested if you’re talking about Oklahoma City you’re looking at if K Wallace is healthy Isaiah Joe if Caruso comes back Lou Dort would be streamable if he ends up being healthy like there are Fringe guys on those teams but you’re not going to know until the day of who’s in and who’s out and that’s where you’re going to end up making those calls uh so those are the not great schedules um and like not too hard to work around the Portland and uh what did I say Portland and Charlotte yeah Portland and Charlotte for Detroit if you were looking at doing something early in the week you could I think I’d probably look at Philly Philly’s got a good schedule to start the week um they got four games the first six days so do the Clippers four games the first six days if you wanted to go something shorter and then longer Cleveland has a backtack Monday Tuesday soort of the Clippers by the way so that would be sort of like if you didn’t like any of the streamers on the Clippers you could go to the Cavaliers and then on Wednesday if you went to the Cavs you’d want to abandon ship there and go to Miami because they start a five game and s-day stretch I’ve colorcoded things on the Stream streaming board for you guys and this is actually the sort of midow disclaimer again this is the PSA these weekly preview shows are geared towards head-to-head players because Roto players you’re not trying to max out games quite the same way also you should be looking at this visual on your own while I talk about it yes I’m going to try to scroll around so you can see what I’m talking about but I can only have five or six teams showing on the screen because if I zoom out any farther you’re not going to be able to see it whereas if you pull it up on your own computer screen preferably on a big PC monitor you can look at half the league at once like here’s what it looks like when I zoom out it’s not great it’s not great for YouTube I guess you can kind of see it I don’t have to zoom out that far we’ll go a little bit tighter but like it gets a little tougher to see right now where you can pull that up this is free I’ve done this for the season uh it’s in the free Google sheet it’s listed in the show description no matter how you’re taking in the content look for I think I called it like the mega Google sheet and then look along the bottom there the tab that says streaming calendar 2024 that’s the one that’s got all this stuff built in all that to say I’ve started to add some new markers basically Place markers so you can see if you’re looking along with us that the first that Monday for Cleveland they’re in Golden State I’ve color-coded that one orange not for any reason other than okay the Cavs have a back toback to start the week so let’s say that that’s a team that you move to if you had uh someone on Detroit or someone on Phoenix we haven’t talked about their really really bad schedule yet but the Cavaliers schedule gets bad starting on Wednesday on Wednesday Cleveland only has two games over a 7-Day span which is effectively a bad week of scheduling for games so you don’t want to CF on Wednesday if you picked up Carris Levert or Dean Wade or whatever you know Fringe streamer that the Cavaliers might be looking at for that Monday Tuesday get off of them mandatory on Wednesday so what I’ve done now is I’ve given you a pathway if you went orange on Monday look for the next orange Boop there it is Miami on Wednesday Miami’s got plenty of streamers Duncan Robinson although I think he might have just gotten ruled out for their Sunday game Duncan Robinson Terry Rosier Heywood heith Hae hakz uh haez Jr I should say um they are others mixed in there nicovic tons of these Fringe guys on the heat that keep rotating in and they might not be good for all five of those seven games but if they’re good for like two to three of them that’s a win plus you went from a Cavalier who had two games over seven days to a heat who had five games over seven days you made one roster move on Wednesday and you increased your games played total by three over a week that’s incredible that’s the juiciest damn move you can make in Long streaming and I know what you’re thinking maybe I don’t know what you’re thinking but one thing you might be thinking is what about the fact that Miami does not play on Sunday hopefully you have some other streamer slot that you were able to max out on Sunday but the nice thing about this coming week is that there’s no overload day so you can just max the crap out of everyone so again this scenario if you started with say a Detroit Piston or a Phoenix Sun in this like take a bad schedule and pivot it to a good schedule and you didn’t get any of the Clippers that you wanted to and you didn’t get any of the Philadelphia 76ers that you wanted to because those are the my two preferred options on Monday and for the Clippers that would be like a Derek Jones Jr um man there aren’t that many other options to stream on the Clippers they’re a frightfully poor streaming option team when was their last game did they play on Friday they beat the warriors on Friday that’s right um I mean Chris Dunn I guess would be streamable for the Clippers so Derrick Jones or Chris Dunn I probably are the two options there all right let’s say you didn’t get those guys and so then you were like oh maybe I can get my hands on a on a Philadelphia 76er surely they have somebody that I could pull out of the sky well you know now that they got their guys back your options there are Caleb Martin Kelly UB is probably not on the wire even though he should be so not a ton of choices so let’s say somebody beats you to those teams then you got to go down to your third option which is the Cavaliers that’s how you ended up in that okay I want Cavs on Monday I go heat on Wednesday I use two moves on that roster slot this week I’ve got to be done with that one by the way let’s quickly talk about the Phoenix Suns and then we’ll get to the other streaming options for this week the Suns uh they have a bad schedule starting Sunday which is today while we’re recording the show they go two times over eight days woof it’s one time over six or two times over eight that’s about as bad as it gets the fact that two times over eight is actually an improvement over the one in six tells you how bad the current stretch is so for Phoenix like you can get off of the Phoenix Phenix Suns today if you’re watching the show on Sunday um Toronto’s got four games in six days starting on Sunday I think they might be the only team that has a really good schedule right now uh Boston is in a in the midst of it just a long like relatively heavy stretch you could potentially go Boston as well um let’s see besides Toronto Boston I actually didn’t prep to do a a bit on today’s show about starting on Sunday OKC would be useful and you could hold them all the way through Friday of this coming week uh uh I already said Toronto yeah so those are the options if you wanted to move off of Phoenix on Sunday but if you happen to be watching this show on Monday you’ve missed your opportunity to do that treat Phoenix just the way we talked about Detroit you don’t want to be a part of them for at least the first four days of the week that’s what Detroit is you can get back on them later uh for Phoenix you’re not going to get back on them until Monday of next week they have a five-game week next week or if you really wanted to get ahead of it you could pick up a Phoenix Sun on Saturday cuz then that would be six games over nine days but the best stretch for Phoenix is actually starting day one of next week that’s January 6th I call it week 12 Yahoo calls it period 11 doesn’t matter what the hell you want to call it that’s just where it is okay here’s the other part of this equation if you go Philadelphia to start the week or the Los Angeles Clippers you don’t actually have to hold them for their four games in six days you could actually just cash in on three games in four nights which is a 75% game hit rate right and for Philly by the way they’ve got a back toback in there so embiid is probably going to sit one Paul George might sit one you may actually get a better game out of Kelly UB or Caleb Martin or Gan yabas or whoever so there might actually be a few more options when you think about that back to back however as I just mentioned for Philly and for the Clippers they go one time over the week’s final three days meaning you’ve got an opportunity to Pivot off of those guys those two teams you’re only going to gain one game this week with the move you make but you could cash in with additional games over the following few days and the move there is actually believe it or not back to the Detroit Pistons because starting on Friday of this week the Pistons go five times in seven nights and as you can see I’ve colorcoded that first day for Detroit blue just the way I coded the Clippers Monday blue and the Sixers Monday blue this is a those are they they are arrows it’s a flowchart if you went Clippers or Philly on Monday you go Detroit on Friday that’s the other half of this am I using two moves this week because Detroit yes they get you two games to finish off the week that’s great you added a game this week but you stretch it out for seven days Detroit goes five times over those seven days Clippers go three times over those seven days actually three times over eight but that doesn’t really matter cuz Detroit is off after those seven also Philly also three times over seven days so you’re making one roster move on Friday and you’re getting two games played over a 7-Day stretch it’s not quite as maraculous as going from the Cavaliers to the heat with that Wednesday move where you’re getting three games over seven days but as we’ve talked about long streaming is about trying to get two extra games played over whatever spam you plan on holding on to that guy and the nice thing about Detroit is they do actually have some streaming options Isaiah Stewart is supposed to be back so he’ll be a streamable option uh you could try Tim Hardaway Jr who yeah I mean admittedly he sucks but in five games in seven days he’d probably be borderline useful uh who else I mean those guys most of the guys on that team are probably rostered by now um but that’s a really in intriguing option um it doesn’t help us all that much for this particular run but let’s say you did listen to this show on Sunday instead of Monday and you did the you know Toronto or Boston thing to get four games in six days that would end on Friday if that was the case Golden State would be your next Target for you early birds as we talked about let you know this is this is this is exclusively for people who are listening to this episode on on Sunday and go to Boston Toronto or Oklahoma City for four games in six days starting Sunday so you end up with three games the first five days next week and then for whatever team you’re on like if you’re on Oklahoma City uh you pivot to Golden State because the Warriors have five games in seven nights starting on Saturday of this week that’s just something to kind of keep in the back of your mind like you might get to Saturday and you might still have one weekly move left that you didn’t use up early the Warriors are a spot to go there Utah is a secondary spot to go there they have six games over nine days starting on Saturday of this week the Warriors do not believe it or not because they’re off for two days after that five and seven that was a lot to digest I know I I packed a lot right into the end there just open up this Google sheet that’s the important thing I tried to walk you through it here on today’s show but you can see the way I’ve colorcoded it match up the oranges with the oranges match up the blues with the blues you can see the back Tob backs are colorcoded you can see the fives and sevens are colorcoded and you can really do a nice job of Powerhouse long streaming basically for like the next two and a half three weeks because there’s only one game one day apologies one day between now and what is it January 25th there’s 14 games on January 25th there’s only one game one day I keep doing that between now and January 25th that has 10 games or more that’s the 15th and it’s 11 which might not even be an overload for you this is the best time of the entire season frankly to Long stream because you could do three different roster slots and there’s just so many different combinations that you can work through that you can get like we talked about two or three plus games in every move that you make right now provided you’re willing to look at it from a 4 6 7 n day down the line perspective all right as I keep saying um you must must must go open up that
