and let’s start off by talking about Michael conforto signing a oneyear 17 million contract now onee $17 million when I initially saw that I was like Whoa man Michael conforto is a good ball player he’s not $17 million a year but Michael conforto statistically last year in his age 30 in his age 30 season um slugged 450 which is really good Michael conforto has always had really great power and he had a 116 Ops plus I I mean playing in a large ballpark Ops plus is a good indicator Michael Conor is a very good hitter I and he showed that last year he had a really tough 2023 um statistically what he took like two years off for Major League Baseball I mean that was so weird I think he had like what a contract dispute with the Mets and then no one signed Michael conforto but he’s a good depth outfielder with the Dodgers most likely um not most likely it’s a possibility they lose tocar Hernandez to have Michael conforto uh if Michael conforto playing 110 games for the Dodgers batting eighth batting seventh Michael conforto is going to be really good I I like this move a lot kind of similar and I’m relating this for some reason to AJ poock in 2021 he AJ poock was exceptional batting e and he put up like a 130 Ops Plus in that lone season with the Dodgers um Michael conforto is a a good signing I would give this a one thumbs up for the Los Angeles Dodgers the next move the Dodgers made is signing Blake Snell they signed Blake Snell to a 5year $182 million contract which includes deferrals from 2035 to 2044 I wrote 2024 2044 um which I think the deferrals if I’m not mistaken is $5 million a year Ian he’s he’s getting paid annually I mean 5 years 182 what what’s that it’s like 3 sixish million I could be wrong 30 I whatever but um he’s still getting paid like $30 million a year like annually even with the deferrals which add to Blake Snell so the deferrals he’s gonna get paid later and he’s still getting paid a lot now one of the uh highest of starting pitcher in baseball he’s 32 years old I love Blake Snell what he showed me last year even though he won the sa young in 2023 in my opinion was even more impressive coming off that sa young season I still had a lot of question marks about Blake Snell when you talk about the duration of his entire career um and what I project him to be but last year really for me solidified oh wow Blake sell’s that he’s that guy he’s that guy in the second half I’ve never seen a better pitcher since Jacob deom is f since Jacob deg is but Blake Snell lash in the second half 145 your 68 Innings pitch this guy every single start was going seven Innings eight Innings nine innings he had I multiple shutouts um multiple times he took a perfect game into the seventh inning all in the the second half I mean if he had a full off season um got prepared with the team didn’t suffer a a minor injury that held him out for like two or three weeks Blake Snell would have maybe won the sa young again like he would have competed for a sa young I love Blake Snell he’s a really great pitcher and for the Dodgers to add him to their rotation now they’ve got Blake Snell glasnow Yamamoto and shotani further solidifies this rotation Blake Nowell I think look man this rotation those four guys have a lot of question marks but now all right sh Otani Maybe Can’t pitch the full season Maybe Can’t pitch the full season Tyler glazar gets injured again we still have Blake Stell and Yamamoto we still got Bobby Miller we still got Landon KN we still got all of our pitching like the Dodgers are in such a good place now and Blake Snell signing him to this deal incredible um gming and ownership from the Dodgers and Andrew Freeman so the next move they they res signed Blake shran a relief pitcher 36 years old a 2-year $22 million contract World Series hero foul territory um guest appearance and I I like Blake train a lot actually as a personality but from 2021 to 2024 and 124 Innings pitch and keep in mind he was injured for a portion of this uh the the these four years um 124 Innings pitch a 196 ra that is one of the best relievers in baseball I think this year at a 183 ra Blake TR is got some of the best stuff in baseball and at 36 years old he’s still one of the best relievers in baseball when he’s healthy and we saw what he did in the World Series last year Blake tronan is healthy he’s a phenomenal Bullpen piece that the Dodgers have at their disposal so great job for the Dodgers resigning one of their guys that was important in them winning a World Series last year so that’s all for the Los Angeles Dodgers Now we move on to the New York Mets
