points was the headliner the kmom MVP in this game Jeremiah fears 10 points four assists uh quiet game for him after three straight Superstar performances before this a lot was made of Jeremiah versus Chucky who uh is getting built as the best defensive player in the perimeter in the country I thought Chucky did a pretty good job on Jeremiah fears to be honest so 10 and four was not even a bad night necessarily for Jeremiah Glen Taylor with 12 Off the Bench uh kind of a a sum of your parts greater than the the whole I don’t know what that phrase is Oklahoma’s outperforming what I think the players on this roster are right now that’s what I’m trying to say and I’m impressed by it it’s a credit to Porter moer through the beginning part of the Season uh Louisville four guys in double figures I thought Louisville played I mean well enough to win this game they just didn’t make shots only shot 21% from three that’s always the fear with a pack Kelsey team they can just go cold from three and basically cook their chances and uh the scariest part of this by far kesan prior is uh out for the year that’s the breaking news this morning so definitely uh a damper on quite a good run for Louisville it was a great week to get to the championship game and then kesan goes down in a horrifying injury only plays 13 minutes and you lose the title game not what anybody wanted to see thoughts and prayers are with him and the Louisville program as well so uh what do you make of this what was the story of this one to you I I I I truly think sometimes basketball there’s so many little different tiny things that you can point out um sometimes it comes down you didn’t hit shots like Louisville shot 38% from the field 21% from three 56% from the line he lost a game by five you’re just not gonna win a basketball game like that um and I mean you go down the list Hadley W for four Edwards W for five rign Smith two for seven um they they just they they were not good enough from the free throw line or the three-point line and it it you know it led to them losing this basketball game and this was this was a really ugly basketball like I know Moore was very impressive for the Sooners um and there were some okay performances from some Cardinals uh Waterman had a double double Chucky had a really good line uh Hadley was really well had a double double as well but like this was a a this is a pretty ugly basketball game in my opinion um and I think you can tell that given the score I think ugly basketball games are where Oklahoma wants to live though they want to drag him to the deep end I think Oklahoma wants like a a slow yuck eil game they want to defend for 24 seconds um and then they just want to kind of have Jeremiah lead him to the promised land and outplay guards and I think they ultimately like succeeded like to me that’s what they did this week now Arizona and Providence were higher scoring games I’m not saying the offense was horrible but I don’t know I feel like I got a got a good feel for who Oklahoma is and this game was kind of played on Oklahoma’s terms more than it was Louisville’s terms yeah no this is this was not the type of game that Louisville wants to play and look let’s credit to Porter moer in Oklahoma like they know their style they know what they got they executed that to Perfection Louisville did not play their game did you see the porter moer Revenge storyline coming I mean last year there was huge talks that he was looking for an out to get out of Oklahoma would take a job in the midwest if anything was offered to him and instead here he is he takes a flyer on Jeremiah in the summer now it’s team seven and0 battle for Atlanta Champions yeah he’s still building that resume for his midwe West stop okay I’m thinking honestly he might be your next coach I don’t get what that’s about like Indiana takes Dusty and then you take Porter you think Indiana can just snap their fingers and take my my head coach away I if longinetti is there yeah I don’t mean to doubt Kurt zetti again uh yeah I do that man made Ryan Day look aggressive uh no I don’t know Porter I like Porter as a guy a lot I always tell the story you and went to a Loyola game and ended up at a bar like with the Valentine family and Porter was there and Porter just like I’ve never seen anybody do this he like stood up on a stool and was like next round’s on me and everybody went I thought that was like movie stuff I didn’t know coaches actually did that really yeah he he’s like the hero of like a Christmas movie that’s who Porter Moser is and um I don’t know I like him as a guy I think he’s a really good offensive coach and this is a good reminder the dude can coach we made a lot of jokes at his expense last year but I felt like uh like I said this whole tournament was played on his terms and he got Superstar performances from a guard every single game jayen Moore this time Jeremiah the first two and I mean Kobe Elvis is a quiet guy too no he his Line’s not going to impress anybody but seven assists to zero turnovers against the Louisville team that has obviously forced a lot of turnovers like I was impressed by that it’s a good reminder like I really liked Kobe Elvis at Dayton in the past and he’s old and at Oklahoma now and I don’t know there’s just some guys like they don’t have the name brand names but I think they have a pretty good basketball they got guys that are producing too like you mentioned Elvis we mentioned fears being great like Moore’s been incredible this year 18 and six 50% from the field 42% from three 84 from the line like he’s been like Porter’s got some he’s got at least he’s you know he’s got some guys like more fears Elvis and then like get some guys around them contribute and well game to game we’ll take it to the the sooner deep end and figure out a way yeah I also want to say this um their top seven is six seniors or fifth year seniors and a reclass Jeremiah Fierce fresher I love that it’s like I feel like they got these grimy like team first 24 year olds who have just like adopted a 17-year-old and they’re like this is this is our ticket this is our guy and they all they do all the dirty work for him and just let him Rock I love it it’s perfect honestly it makes me like Oklahoma yeah makes me too uh it’s going to be special when Porter and Jeremiah go together to Villanova next year package deal throwing that out right now it’s going to be really really nice when Kyle nepton is fired in Porter moer and Jeremiah fears go to Villanova next year um Louisville where do they go from here prior’s out is that like a season ruining thing because I mean to me prior has been their best front Court player uh you’ve got Noah Waterman but I the only other guy you’re going to bring in is James Scott now I don’t think you really want to play Waterman and Scott together so Louisville’s going to get a lot smaller here without prior yeah I I think this is mass like it’s a massive hit for them I think prior was doing a lot of things for this team uh I think is like you said their best front Court player I would even argue that prior was maybe their best player like I think he could be in the argument for that like I know Edwards is good and so is headb burn but what prior did and what he brought to that team I think was very evident and that’s that’s a massive loss for a team in Louisville who I like have we decided where we’re at with this team uh I like him I just I fear what is going to happen post prior yeah I like him too but PRI the prior loss is massive yeah I I what I like about him is I think anybody in their top six can be the guy any given night and that’s really hard to prepare for like I to me Terrence Edwards is their best player but he wasn’t great in this game and he’s had I don’t know quiet performances really since a dominant performance against Beller heern can be the guy clearly and they can win games I think think Kon definitely could have been rain Smith will have a game he goes for 20 Waterman can be like I like the balance of Louisville I really believe in the formula for them shoot a bunch of Threes And be really balanced force turnovers I just I don’t know what it looks like without prior like you’re going to have to ask for more from everybody else prior was such a dynamic piece to the puzzle here um the good news is the ACC feels wide open I think there’s still enough here to like certainly make the tournament but yeah it’s a heartbreaking end to what I thought was a really really good week for Louisville leading into this game and now it’s hard to feel good about what happened in Atlanta yeah luckily for I guess bright side for them um I do think they have some guys that can step up like given this opportunity like maybe like the young freshman Roose comes along um uh what’s I think it’s Scott like maybe Scott come like there’s other guys who I think can step up in prior’s absence um maybe to find a sliver of like what coulden happen you know with that also just go super in on small ball like Hadley can play the four Edwards can play the three just put Ry Smith in with Chucky and let him shoot 17 threes a game that’s what you did at uh at Charleston anyway right like yeah there’s a pivot there it can work it’s just the bench is going to be a little shallow also shout out to kaan obviously we hope you get well uh really sad news but shout out to K for getting up nine shots in 133 minutes in this game he was about to shoot 30 shots if he stayed healthy and played the whole game I love kaan what do you make of the handshake line incident uh for what it’s worth the story is there was an inbounds play that pack H believes um basically an illegal touching should have been called and it wasn’t and yeah obviously that would have been a turnover it would have been a big or or whatever you call it like technical or something um ah ah Pac Kel Blow by I mean you saw like a quick touch hand and just to blow by Porter MOS are one of the nicest guys in the sport turn around and was just like what are you doing do you like those Antics from Kelsey no I don’t uh it’s given like sore loser Vibes um and I I look I get it I get being frustrated um in that spot uh but I’m of the belief that there shouldn’t be blowb unless there’s like blatant disrespect from coaches like if Pat if if Porter Moser planted a flag at Center Court at the battle for Atlantis then you do a Blow by but to me it’s not like Porter like ran up to school or some guy shot a three at the end that didn’t need to be shot like it it it had nothing to do with Porter and like you st Porter’s like one of the good guys nicest guys in college basketball for Kelsey to hit him with the blow by I’m not not a fan of that I don’t like coaches that make themselves the story for random reasons and you’re telling me that you don’t like coaches that make post handshake game moments the moment uh no I I advocated for my coach to be fired immediately after I know that’s what I’m saying yeah uh yeah no I this is a Chucky headb bur issue is it oh yeah Chuck Chucky’s always involved he’s always at the center Chucky you little instigator you uh yeah I don’t know Pat just like just coach the basketball game I get like you have this like Charisma that is part of the quote unquote charm of you um it’s a little insufferable to me to be honest it’s just speaking for me I get other people love it you gotta I don’t know you got to get people’s attention at Charleston to me you don’t have to get people’s attention at Louisville you’re Louisville people are watching your basketball team for your basketball team and you lost this game was it an ify call sure address it at the podium fine show up Porter Moser after loss is just like come on dude you were favored in this game it’s it’s all icky it’s PJ fleing to me and that’s that’s the comp pack H’s the PJ fle in college basketball and this
