either of these teams are Louisville uh gets to the championship game in this tournament through destroying Indiana we have a recap up of that going up this morning and then an overtime win against West Virginia those are two teams that I think are in grave danger of of not making the NCA tournament and then Oklahoma has I would say had a tougher path to the championship game they survive against Providence in a coin flip game Providence then went on to lose to Davidson by like 50 and then Oklahoma had the nice upset against Arizona where they controlled that game from start to finish right now I have no idea how good Arizona is Arizona’s lost to everybody they’ve played with a pulse including Wisconsin Duke and Oklahoma so here we are I I think this is going to be a really entertaining game but it is one of those games where like look kmom has both these teams outside the top 35 in the country right now are these teams top 25 teams are they top 50 teams are they right where Kemp pom has them I have no idea can you make any sense of this this feels like respectfully the battle for Atlanta has been a weird tournament because Gonzaga and Arizona dropped the ball and those were supposed to be the two teams with some juice here speaking of Dr the ball Indiana just no showed the whole tournament so I think we talked about it last year like the field looked pretty fun on paper and then like Michigan and Memphis imploded and you were like nobody good went to that tournament I’m kind of getting those vibes right now too and I don’t want to discredit Louisville or Oklahoma but it’s a weird matchup to be the battle for Atlanta’s final yeah it’s a weird matchup for me because whatever team leaves here especially if it’s Louisville like if they leave here all they have to kind of put their pin into the Bad Boy Mowers cap is that they beat a dead Indiana program like you said that they’re in shambles they might miss the tournament I think then they play a West Virginia team who you know bubbleisha team at this point and then Oklahoma who is on the outside looking in as well so it’s like it it’s crazy that we’re gonna maybe leave with the narrative that this Louisville team won this tournament but like who did they beat on the way to the tournament what I would like to switch to on side though is the actual players in this game because you and I said a lot of things about Chucky hebburn on this podcast he’s been incredible in this Bad Boy Mowers tournament like yeah he had 32 last game six steals he’s been all over the place defensively uh for this team like as a point of attack Defender he makes things extremely tough for the other team this little is kind of fun too I guess it’s fun when they’re doing stuff like this like when they were blowing Indiana out that was fun to watch the West Virginia I’m sure it was I’m sure it it was fun to watch and then I I just had such a hard time figuring out like what this Louisville team is like they went to overtime with West Virginia I think the story of the West Virginia game was just they couldn’t make a shot they shot 25% from three and found a way to win and that’s with how they play with how many threes they shoot I feel like that’s not supposed to happen with Louisville so are they in the Michigan category like they make shots good team we got to have a Michigan dial I think Michigan’s a lot better than anyone’s giving them credit for and I know I’m not allowed to say that as a fan like their defense I know I’m taking those words out of your mouth though you said this team makes shots they’re good I think Michigan makes shots they’re like Elite oh okay Michigan has the top 10 defense in the sport and I don’t think that’s going anywhere like they they basically took the St John’s defensive or the the St Mary’s defensive coordinator and now he he has an elite defense Michigan like instead instead of Aiden mahaney he brought great defense yeah and I feel like that’s like when I say like oh if they make shots like that’s like I don’t know if Michigan loses if they make shots Louisville is a team that if they make shots they’re dangerous if they don’t make shots like you should have lost to West Virginia yeah okay that’s a little different but like I don’t know I maybe I’m being harsh on that I don’t mean to be like a huge skeptic Louisville has definitely earned my respect in this run of the tournament like the fact that they showed up and did what they did to Mike Woodson in round one they punked him a lot of that was just like mentally showing up ready to play like I applaud them for that I do think that’s impressive and then in West Virginia it is impressive to me that you grind out a win in a game that you didn’t really have it from outside I bet Louisville in that game like I’m I am coming around on like I like this team I believe in this team um the hard part for me is I don’t know if it’s like you mentioned Chuck Chucky has been the story he has back-to-back kmom MVPs he has 13 steals in this tournament which is insane he got to the free throw line 17 times against West Virginia Which you need on a night where nobody can make a shot and also he made shots he was I think he was eight for uh 12 from the floor so like he’s been spectacular he’s going to win the MVP of this tournament if they win it’s just one of those things where like can you ful get there because we’ve watched Chucky for three years and he’s had good moments he’s played on championship teams but I I I kind of Beyond Chucky I kind of have that with everybody on Louisville it’s like I watched kaan Pryor get a transition dunk and I’m like oh my God he’s incredible and then I watch him like float through the rest of the game and I’m like what’s going on you know like I think the Personnel I still it needs to click for me in a way where I believe in these players right now I believe in Kelsey and team but the individual Parts get a little spooky for me when I start thinking about matchups like a a game where I think you’re playing an elite guard at Jeremiah FS today yeah I I I think that they’ll be play obviously they played like Javon small um in the game I’m not going to mention any Indiana guards they played but Jeremiah FS is going to be the best player that I think they played so far in this tournament that’s with all due respect to Tucker deves Jeremiah FS has been absolutely incredible this year too by the way like not just this tournament um but that kind of encompasses what this Bad Boy Mowers tournament might be and this is going to come off slightly disrespectful and I do not mean it to to come off that way because I think Chucky hebburn has been great better than I have given him credit for this whole season take a step back and be like okay Chucky hurn won MVP the Bad Boys mower for atlantas that kind of gives you a good idea of what this tournament was yeah how folded yeah yeah I hear you on that um I want to talk Jeremiah fears in a second just quickly Chucky has been great defensively right yeah like he has been incredible defensively right 13 steals he’s been a pest he’s everywhere he’s been a great defender this tournament yeah who was his primary assignment for West Virginia uh wasn’t it small it was the Javon small that went 10 for 19 from the floor for 20 six points ah I just like I I I mean we saw text tweet sent to group text yesterday about Chucky being like Unstoppable defensively and meanwhile I’m looking up and his matchup had 26 so like an efficient 26 yeah he miles he had miles rice in Hell miles rise has himself in hell look the steals the steals are awesome I I’m not getting like he’s locking anyone down vibes from Chucky’s defensive performance right now yeah I I let’s just say that I if it’s if we’re if we’re coming down to like a het bur Jeremiah fears matchup I I feel good about one side of that my guess would be that heurn gets like five Steals and is opportunistic and converts those in transition and Jeremiah continues going for 27 and seven like he has been so uh let’s talk about that real quick we have spent a bunch of time talking about Jeremiah fears on this channel uh he if you don’t know him he’s six games into his freshman career he reclassed up a class he’s supposed to still be in high school this is one of the best scorers like at peach jam in the ebl events Jeremiah FS was top five in scoring all all year and he was supposed to go to Illinois he was committed to Illinois and he was going to wait until next year to come to Illinois Illinois brought in kaspar aonis and Jeremiah reconsidered things opened up his re his recruitment decided you know what I want to come to college early Porter Moser took a chance on him there were a couple other schools involved ultimately I think the the pitch here was like hey we can come kind of try and Trey young you here you’re going to have the ball in your hands very young and uh we’ll see what Jeremiah does because he is the most under the radar player in the country I don’t think that’s an exaggeration at all nobody’s talking about him and maybe if they win today people will talk about him but just want to be clear he’s been in double figures all six games he didn’t start the first three games of the Season Porter moer definitely approached this of like well he’s a young reclass guy we’ll we’ll just bring him off the bench and bring him along slow he had 16 points the first game of his career 1511 the next two ever since the last three games he’s been the number one option featured guy for Porter Moser and he’s playing 34 31 33 minutes the last three games his lines are insane C he had 20 points five assists four rebounds 20 points seven assists four rebounds 26 points five assists five rebounds yesterday this kid’s a 17-year-old freshman and I get this freshman class is absurd everybody’s talking about the big names the VJ edcom the Cooper Flags the Dylan Harpers the ace Bailey the casparis yones the jagor demons there’s dudes everywhere it’s wild Jeremiah should be in that group and not even in the group he should be near the top of the group based on what he’s done this season and I have no idea if NBA Scouts are going to repay him with that because it seems like he’s not being mocked in the lottery right now but man there’s a path here where this guy ends up first team all this year there’s a path where he’s the SEC freshman of the year there’s a path where if he doesn’t go pro he comes back next year and gets a bag somewhere or returns to Oklahoma and is like the national Player of the Year front runner what he done through three weeks is nothing short of absurd yeah there’s also a world too where he comes back next year 66 by the way like he like he look first of all he looks visibly bigger to me like he looks he looks V like shout out to Oklahoma strength and conditioning program the short time they had him he he physically looks like different player than he was three months ago and was he a compass shout out to he went out west somewhere right yeah yeah AZ Compass yeah I think shout out to shout out to Compass because wherever wherever he was the last year like the summer since he’s been decided to reclassify has done a big job reshaping his body yeah 100% like he looks physically bigger like he even put on like I would say like 10 to 15 pounds um and you know I think you hit the nail on the head he needs to be talked about more because this guy this kid my apologies this kid is doing something right now that is like special um you know obviously being a young kid given the keys right now which he’s been given kind of these past three games you you have the issues that you know you gotta you got to account for like he has turn the ball over a lot like he has a a you know one to one assist turnover ratio at this point but at the same time he has zero fear in his heart he look Caleb love who is everyone’s All-American favorite da that this that and the third said give me that ball and you go home I got I got things to handle right now 26 five and five pong your head top shout out to bad boys but what he’s doing right now is special he’s a really gifted score um but like on top of being a gifted score like you look at his game log G like SE six assists five assists seven assists five assists like he’s doing it all while even chipping in five rebounds as a 17year old kid people love to hit Cooper flag with that he’s 17 Jeremiah fears is also 17 and jerem fears isn’t like the the generational body prospect that Cooper flag is so like what he’s doing right now is special it’s good to see it too coming against like real opponents obviously I think a lot of people were disc counting what he was doing because he was doing it against Lynden wood and ston but you know now he’s kind of shown himself in this tournament and he could accumulate that with having a really big performance against Louisville yeah yeah it’s I think this would be the moment everybody notices and we’ll see cuz I mean if he has a poor game it’s not going to change anything he’s been Stellar but if he has like a great game if he’s the best player on the floor again against like Pac KY Louisville team that’s getting everybody’s attention there’s going to start to be conversation and I remember I don’t mean to do the Trey young comp too much I’m sure I bet you the fears family is probably fine with me doing a great young comp but like I Porter wasn’t the coach for Trey young so it’s kind of stupid to do like that just because he went to Oklahoma but there was a moment like I I think there is something about basketball players at Oklahoma especially little guards where you’re just kind of inherently not on the radar not to say Oklahoma’s not like a bigname school but Oklahoma’s not the basketball school that everybody’s paying attention to like you gotta be special for people to like oh my God you got to look at buddy hee oh my God Blake Griffin oh my God like they always have special talents but there’s a moment where it clicks and it becomes national news I remember that for t young it happened like week two like he had had a couple Crazy Games as a freshman and then I think he had like a a shot from the logo to beat Northwestern or something and it was like the first play on Sports Center was like we got to pay attention to this kid Jeremiah has a chance to do that today because whatever happens in this game everybody’s G to be paying attention to it’s a quiet little Friday Black Friday game like this is one of the Marquee games of the day and uh if he’s wired the way I think he’s wired I think he’s gonna have a good game yeah can I can I go there you can go there is it is can I go there if it won’t go over well you can go wherever you want to go all right because I believe it in my heart of hearts so I want to make it very very clear I don’t know if it shows up that I’m looking at the camera but I am looking at the camera right now Jeremiah fears ain’t scared of Chucky heurn and his steals respectfully I’m just letting you know right now he there’s not going to be a Fear Factor there’s not going to be I’m going up against this this guy who has all these who oh the fears Factor there is no there there’s a fears Factor but fear ain’t a factor Inc you didn’t even try to do that I didn’t even try to do that that’s just that’s that’s natural that’s fresh off Thanksgiving leftovers but uh no I don’t think there’s going to be any type of just like shock factor or anything like that and to the point you spoke on like shout out to Porter Moser because even though he didn’t coach Trey young I truly think he used that to his Advantage because one of the first things I of Jeremiah fears was he was in the gym at Oklahoma with Trey young yeah like that’s that’s something you use to your advantage yeah 100% um and Porter for his credit he has been really good with like offensive engines like it’s been post players but when Porter’s had a guy who’s worth it I mean he has featured that guy to Great extent and it’s been great so seems like I do see a lot of Clayton kuster and Jeremiah fears I was gonna say does does fears Factor Make Jeremy Fe Joe Rogan in this universe is that how this goes not now please okay well um the one thing I will say if we if we’re all the way in on a great Jeremiah game he’s really turnover prone so if Jeremiah is looking at Chucky like oh I can torch this dude Chucky is also looking at this dude like oh I can I can get six or seven from him today that’s fine well we just do the just just subtract the turnover over from the point so what he had three
