for the second time in three years Matt McMahon has the Tigers off to a six and one start two of those wins coming against Power four opponents but there is one concerning Trend with four of those wins LSU can’t find their footing offensively in the first half the last three home games against much smaller schools the Tigers trailed in the first 20 minutes they’re shooting 38% from the field in the first half and 51% in the second half McMahon expressed it’s something the Tigers have to fix with a s- one Florida State team coming into town on Tuesday and SEC play starting next month you know clearly when you’re playing teams like Florida State uh when you look at how good the SEC is this year you have to be able to play 40 minutes uh so just working on our consistency there uh and getting off to a better start offensively you know the defensive numbers were phenomenal we forced 12 turnovers but we didn’t turn that into any points at all uh which is an area that we’ve worked on these last couple days we have a lot of like organ organization problems in the first half where that’s uh kind of being what’s bothered us but we’ve been in the lab working on that you know just communicating better and understanding the plays and what sets we’re in so we can you know get our offense started early LC is going to be missing some size against the seals forward Damen Collins still out nursing a shoulder injury he suffered in the loss against pit McMahon said he returned to practice this week but they aren’t going to rush him back reporting on LSU basketball for your going ation I’m Brendan fairon
