I’ve spent eight years with this fantastic group of players and people we’ve lost confidence as a team because we haven’t won in a long while um that we have to remember what we’ve achieved but what we’ve achieved coun often is in the past now it’s history what it’s about is about winning the Premier League now um and we’re making it harder and harder for oursel because we got teams that are around us and one team that is above us is doing really well so we will we’ll keep fighting to the endend as we always do um the best way to turn this around is on on Tuesday as you know we’ll do again we’ll try we’ll come out and we’ll try and get three points and then hopefully you know the Mojo comes back in you know we see the normal City that we have done in the last you know eight seasons well pepet felt for most of that certainly from Spurs scoring their first goal onward just like the whole stadium was in shock what’s your take on what you’ve just seen yeah maybe but this is what it is we spoke about that we would not expect that the openers cannot create chances SC the goals and in our time together always we can see the goals in the moment so but we are in the moment that yeah we start really well the games we we had the chances and after the first time they arve we could see it and after and now the moment that we have don’t is really a bit more difficult to to come back in the positions mentally especially what you have to do but uh yeah chances were there and uh but of course uh the moment they they create the Chan of the be that we were not you know we cannot handle this the dels like normally we were able to do it and now we Str a little bit foran away at Man City one of the great Premier League teams they’ve not lost here for two years if you take out the Real Madrid penalty shoots out it’s a really special night isn’t it yeah it would have been handy before the international break and I could have enjoy it a few days with the family but no um look it is I think it is I know you know people probably reflect on you know they’re not the greatest Form results wise but like I said here at home um I know what a challenge they are and you know it was an important game for us fair to say um particularly after the last one um and the way the boys sort of reacted to you know very easy when you’re sort of under pressure and and and kind of um you know things aren’t going as smoothly as you want to Splinter off but I never got that sense we stuck together during the week and U yeah reflected in a great performance today and when they happen difficult moments season you said look we’re developing we’re making progress when that when that if that gets questioned again this is the performance you hold up to the world isn’t it yeah look I think it’s it’s it’s also for us to reflect on ourselves you know if we can perform like this on a consistent level and you know even if it’s just a bit below this that you know the disappointing thing for us in a couple of games is we’re falling well short of the kind of football we want to play and the team we want to be and that’s the disappointing thing I think um there’s no doubting we’re I think we’re on the right track and we’re developing to very good football side but at the same time we’ve got to make sure you know when our levels drop they don’t drop as they have in a couple of games this year yeah I sense this in your mind already actually we absolutely have to back this up now you always do I mean that’s that’s the nature of of the Premier League I we’ve got a European game midweek um you know this period of games between now and sort of the new year is going to be really important for our season so um yeah we got to enjoy this you got to enjoy it cuz um doesn’t come off too often and um and then just recover and go again Thursday thank you bu congratulations 4N away at Manchester City how does that feel yeah um there was brilliant side you know one of the best in the world shown that over the last many years I think five back the last six Prem maybe more so uh a result like that you have to enjoy you have to really you don’t get many of them in your career to come away to the Champions and 4-nil in that in that manner um some tough some tough bits in there where we had to grind out and we needed that goalkeeper and our Defenders and to be solid because you know when it comes to yet they’re going to have spars where they create chance after challenge just because of the quality they’ve got but we we weathered the store and we had the quality to to score four brilliant goals so uh yeah like I said you got to enjoy them on so I think we will you look like you enjoyed your goals in particular but the the movement for those two goals Those runs inside is that something that you’d worked on and thought about for this Manchester City team for this particular game yeah yeah I mean I always try and do that I think that’s one of my strength to be fair I’ve I’ve always done a goal score midfielder um and them sort of runs I’ve kind of I say master that’s not but but you can say that after today if you like I say mastered I um I’ve like grown to to the knowledge of of when to make the runs and the experience I’ve got see 28 today it’s been while I’ve spoken about um I’m experienced now and I know that that running behind it a midfielder from deep can be very very effective and it was today and was it particularly effective against City at the moment because they seem vulnerable in those sort of movements well it’s been quite effective for me all season I just I’ve had quite a lot of chances actually from running and behind from deeper passes and I just haven’t put any away but it was nice to get that one where Dei as soon as Dei uh cut him on his left foot I know if I Ed the Run well he’s got the quality to find me and it was just like good contact on it but it’s nice to see the stuff that we work on the training ground CU I do work on them runs a lot um come into fruition and and get a goal from it and in terms of the result for your season as well what can it do for Tot Hots spur season because it’s it’s been disappoint point in so far you came into this game 11th obviously you’ve risen with the three points but where can you go from here after that how much confidence does it give you yeah I think I think the performances have actually been okay this season I think obviously supporters and people in the media get carried away they’re very emotional you lot um get very high when there’s wins and very low when there’s losses and uh it’s our job as professionals to stay neutral stay levelheaded if we beat I last week would’ been third beond Liverpool and see so there’s a there’s context to it you know um hopefully it can kick start a good run we we’re doing well in Europe uh we’re in the quarterfinal of car with a home with a home draw so the season The Season’s been okay just haven’t quite strung the performance uh the results together that probably maybe the some of the performances we had a couple of blips like the game was a blip where the performance wasn’t good enough but in the whole I think it’s actually been all right so hopefully this can kick start a good when him running again thank you James happy birthday
