the ability to tailor our workouts based off the loads from games based off of um you know do we have a byee coming up and all those different things is are our situations that he’s um stay Stayed ahead of the curve uh I wouldn’t say we’ve changed anything um in terms of thinking about hey let’s tailor this workout for the playoffs what we had to do is as soon as as the UFC game was over and say okay what are we going to do this week um we didn’t really get on the practice field until Saturday but uh we needed to make sure that physically they were um staying in shape um in the weight room running on the practice field so that uh we didn’t lose all those gains we’ve made during the season so um now we’re into practice mode obviously we’ll get back to uh practicing for an opponent starting this week and um but but Lauren’s in an unbelievable job at really making sure our guys are ready but also not just ready but physically and um even mentally uh you know ready for the week uh and and ready to maximize their their physical bodies I think going from where you were week one to where you were week two and and realizing okay this is the the best it’s going to be and this is the worst it’s going to be um and understanding like if I can put that stuff behind me and and really focus on enjoying and and maximizing this opportunity as a quarterback at Notre Dame um than I should and that’s what he’s done he his confidence has grown his understanding and knowledge of the offense but also the the understanding and knowledge that coach denck has in in Riley and saying okay how do we do what your players do well right and I’ve always said that our job as coaches is to put our guys in positions to have succeed based off of their athletic skills their mental and physical talents and I think all those things combined has really um put Riley in a situation that he’s in in our offense yeah I mean coach has uh done a wonderful job um to take this program to win 11 games in the Big 10 and um in a big 10 season and to you know have this team ready uh to make a run in the playoffs I it’s a credit to the coach I didn’t know much about him I took him minut and Googled him and and looked at some of the the the things he’s done in the past that there other places I mean he’s won everywhere he’s been so uh he’s done a great job and we expect a great opponent I’ve just briefly started looking at them they’re a talented team that um really takes care of the football right they they play complimentary football um their defense is a pressure attacking defense that really makes you earn everything you got and the you get and the offense has um done a good job taking care of the football being consistent at what they do um and and done some really good things in the red zone so that’s just my my initial look at them um obviously we have a a few days to to really take a deep dive and and figure out a plan uh of attack as we get ready for a Friday game
