[Music] all right guys welcome back to the channel so let’s start off with the big news of the day here Cam Fowler has finally been traded now this has been rumored for a very very long time and it finally has happened now obviously the reason that I mean that that um Anaheim got so little is because he had a trade clause right and when you have a no trade clause it’s really really really hard to get anything for a player and even Frank zelli did touch on this where essentially he was just saying that like you you know you can’t get anything I mean I got a a draft pick and a throw in EC HL Prospect you know what I mean so they pretty much got absolutely nothing now obviously Anaheim has been really bad for a while I mean they L just lost to like Montreal and Toronto they’ve been bad for a while like really bad like they’re terrible hockey team um I remember when they were in their Heyday um Fowler is pretty good though like I don’t think he’s I don’t think he’s not necessarily that bad though I’m going to be interested to see what he’s going to look like in another NHL jersey so like what exactly does he look like does he play the same amount of minutes you know maybe he’ll be better I’m not saying the blues are a great team but you know will he look any better and then if he doesn’t I mean it’s hard to really gauge if anybody is good in Anaheim when you have these terrible teams it’s like you know what kind of role can a player like that actually properly play um in an NHL team essentially so that that’s all I’m saying so I’m going to be keeping an eye on him and see how he plays but obviously we love to see trades I hope I don’t know about you guys but it seems like we’re getting more trades than usual or at least trade chatter so hopefully that keeps up okay so now on to Maple Leaf news uh so stolar is going to be out for the weekend now this isn’t necessarily that shocking I mean he is obviously you want to be careful with him we did also get good news though that he is you know it could have been way worse he has knee issues it could have been way worse I don’t know if you guys were watching that Anaheim game but he let one of those goals in I I think it was a goal that he let in and he went down on and he looked like he hyperextended his right leg I think that’s where he got injured um if you watch the replay you can actually see it so again uh he’s going to be up for the weekend I I honestly dude to me keep him out until he is good right you don’t have to rush this guy again I don’t know about you guys but I have been worried about the leaf go tending not in terms of their talent level but in terms of their ability to stay healthy those are two different things obviously right um so in in terms of just the reliability of the these [Applause] goenda buard was questionable for the nights game now the night you know he is playing in the nights game currently uh which is great to see so he was a game time decision but he is back in the Oilers lineup which is fantastic and the Oilers are currently smoking them 63 in the third period man Edmonton’s been really really hot lately man they’ve been quietly like winning and and getting better Evan Bard has 18 minutes in the game so he’s you know he’s he’s motoring so he was a game time decision but it does look like he is obviously playing in the game okay so now on to the Buffalo sabes the Perpetual rebuilding team that will never not be rebuilding honestly I feel bad for their fans though they’re pretty passionate fan base um so we did get word from Elliot fredman that there are quote vultures lurking around Dylan cousin and they’re getting a lot of calls on him which again makes actually a ton of logical sense I mean he’s a center he’s a right shot Center he plays a decent amount of minutes he’s got some Talent there are again I’ve said this before there are tons of teams that are desperate for centerman in the National Hockey League I mean desperate desperate for centerman so there’s no stranger now he’s having a bit of a tough season obviously I mean 13 points in 29 games is simply not good enough production uh you know $7 million for that is it I mean you you need him to produce way way way way way more than that so I understand why they’re getting calls on him um and you might think like why does anybody want to trade for that contract I think that people need to understand how desperate teams are for center around it’s not even like they’re desperate for for for dmen but this year it is centerman they are desperate for them so yeah are going to be getting calls I don’t know how I would feel if I was a Sabers fan with this one I mean you know it’s just another player another Center that they might be giving up on a little too soon he’s only 23 years old so this is obviously something that would really really worry me I think fredman is right that he said that this would really scare him and I think that he’s he’s right right like it’s it it would something it would be something that would worry me too obviously this depends on what the Sabers would get for uh cin and Elliot fredman did even mention this in his uh article essentially he was saying like if they do give him up the amount that they’re getting would be massive you know I I I I don’t know this this one again this one worries me when it comes to the Sabers though man I I really wish this team would be competitive at one point because it’s better when you have when you have I I just wish all franchises that actually cared about their NHL teams actually uh you know their their teams were actually good and you know the Sabers legitimately do have a like a legit fan base they don’t have um a bunch of fans that don’t care essentially I mean 114 and 4 is simply not good enough I think they their GM I think it was their GM recently said that Buffalo is not a desirable place which is like what the hell is the point in that comment I he said he said something alluding to that and I was like what like and first off that doesn’t you can’t build a competitive franchise even if that’s true like do you think that you know a lot of people really really really super duper want to go to Winnipeg over like you know California it doesn’t mean that you can’t build a competitive franchise you just have to build a competitive franchise in other ways if you understand what I mean so obviously pretty silly comment uh by him I would love to see the Savers be competitive I I’m I drop your comments below and what you think about the cousin situation I I
