[Music] we got some conflicting Jimmy Butler rumors that we have to discuss on today’s show this is the heat report by Chad Sports I am Nick rolloff lot of he said he said between Jimmy’s agent sham shirana is Jimmy Butler going to be traded does he have interest in a certain team out west we’ll go through it all on today’s show but I want to get the pulse of the Heat fans first fill in the blank for me fun question it’s today’s pin comment Jimmy Butler will be playing for the blank after the NBA trade deadline on February 6th drop a team name down below before we get into the trade rumors I do want to voice my opinion and I think the team that he will be playing for will still be the Miami Heat I have been on record saying that I am open to and actually would be leaning on the side of trading Jimmy Butler at the deadline because it doesn’t sound like Pat Riley is going to give him an extension this off seon or this season and I don’t know if he is worth a 2-year 113 million doll supermax extension at this point in his career and I would rather trade him at the deadline to recoup some assets and build towards the future than lose him for nothing but that is just me now let’s dive into the news and rumors because the initial rumor got started by sham shiran on Tuesday when he reported that the heat are open to listening to offers for Butler and making a deal if the proposal is right right and Butler’s agent Bernie Lee has indicated in League circles that Butler’s open to destinations such as the two Texas teams the Mavericks and uh Rockets and the Golden State Warriors Butler is a native of Houston Texas above all though he is believed to prefer a win now title contender in any trade and that was all fun and games not really on Tuesday but then the world got set on fire on Wednesday night why did that get set on fire because sham Shir had a breaking news tweet that scared me cuz I originally thought the trade actually happened when he tweeted the way he did but he said breaking news the Phoenix Suns are another team that Jimmy Butler’s agent Bernie Lee is indic League circles at the six-time allstar open to as a destination while Miami listens to offer so that’s now four teams linked to Jimmy Butler plus he says once again while Miami listens to trade offers not actively trading but listening to what teams could potentially offer but but why did the world get set on fire after that well it’s because Jimmy Butler’s agent Bernard Lee AKA Bernie Lee went and attacked sham shirana online and his report saying all right listen I gave you a to do because I’m a middle AG dad but just know it would indicate severe dislike world all this is fabricated I have never and honestly it wouldn’t help me or the position I represent to do anything Center Advent the new I was hacked carry on all thank you there’s a lot to take it um but the moral of the story is this Bernard Lee J Butler’s agent basically said Shams has no sources and said that he never did said anything that sham says he does and that’s why I said it’s like a he said he said thing because who knows what’s accurate or not and we’ll to talk about who I believe and which side do I lean on in terms of which report do I believe more in just a second but I do want to get your pulse down in the comment section before I give my opinion who do you believe do you believe Shams the national reporter the number one ESPN guy and number one NBA Insider since W retired Type S or do you Believe Jimmy Butler’s agent type B for Bernie I got to be honest I actually roll with Shams and I know a lot of Heat fans that want to keep Jimmy Butler are going to type their bees believe Bernie Lee the agent but I do side with Shams and I’ll explain why in just a second but when you have another reporter coming out this is on the Phoenix Sunside John gadero hopefully I said that right covers the Phoenix Suns he has been right about a lot of things the Bradley be to Phoenix stuff and the Kevin Durant stuff when he was involved I trust John to cover the Phoenix Sons and he reported that Shams is not incorrect from what I’ve heard Jimmy Butler has expressed interest in the Phoenix Suns and the reason why I believe Shams over Bernie Lee is for this simple question I am going to ask the viewers at home and maybe it’s because I work in content creation maybe it’s because I have a journalism degree and I know how these type of people think because I once had a degree and and worked in an industry that kind of deals with these moralities and principles but do I trust a players agent in Bernie Lee that is trying to do the best thing for his client or do I trust the guy Shams reporter that makes a living off of this information has a high reputation and would be the most credible NBA Insider there is and if this would be completely fabricated would burn a lot of bridges in his respective Feld that is why I side with Shams is because I know someone of his caliber and someone with that name value would never put out something that he did not vet in my opinion on the situation is that Bernie Lee probably never spoke to Sham shirana but Bernie Lee may have indicated to others people inside the NBA that Jimmy is interested if he were to be traded to a Maverick’s Warriors Sons or Houston Rockets I believe that would be the case and with Jimmy wanting to be extended and not getting that extension from Pat Riley right now and I don’t know if he will get that extension it would make sense for me to see the reason why Bernie Lee would tell teams Hey listen if we don’t get extended Jimmy might be available to deadline he might be interested in your respective team and then that gets back to Shams like to me I am going to side with the NBA Insider here over the agent who is trying to do everything in his power to get his client paid and keep his reputation above all we’re going to talk more about this in just a second but we are sponsored by game time the Instagram story before the game against the Raptors on Thursday and you saw it on Thursday guy had orange hair I I mean I don’t know if he’s he’s probably just playing along with the bit but it’s an unreal troll job by Jimmy Butler and honestly I don’t care if he’s asking for a trade or not but I you just got to clap it up this is unbelievable trolling by Jimmy but let’s get back to the real basketball talk here because when you talk about the Suns being a potential trade partner with the Miami Heat for Jimmy we’ve talked about the Rockets we’ve talked about the Warriors we’ve talked about the Mavericks I would put the suns in the category as the Dallas Mavericks I do not think the Phoenix Suns make sense as a Jimmy Butler trade partner if you are coming from the Miami Heats perspective I would understand it if you’re Jimmy you join your friend KD you join your friend Devin Booker and you go compete for a title in the Western Conference but as a heat side of things it makes no sense because why the suns are in the second apron of the luxury tax they cannot aggregate contracts in any deal with the Miami Heat or any trade in the entire NBA so what does that mean well Jimmy Butler has a $48 million salary if they can’t aggregate contracts they have to have someone head to Miami that makes pretty much the same amount of money as Jimmy Butler which means they would have to trade one of their big three that they’re paying $40 plus million doll to to Miami so they would have to trade one of Devin Booker Kevin Durant or Bradley Beal to Miami in order to acquire the contract of Jimmy Butler are they going to do that I don’t know we’ll talk about that in just a second but make sure you are subscribed to the channel because we have watch parties we were live for probably think at this point in their careers all sides around I would rather have KD and Booker on my team than Jimmy Butler and if you are Miami I do not BR Bradley Beal whatsoever he’s had a down couple of seasons in Phoenix he’s been unable to stay on the basketball court only played 53 games last season scored uh 18.3 points per game which was I think the lowest of the past five or six years for Bradley Beal and then this season he’s struggling again has only played 15 games so he’s already missed five plus games this year he’s averaging lower than last year at 17 .8 points per game he’s been more efficient he struggled with that last season so he’s been better a little bit in that end but I am not in on Bradley Beal I once was adding him to this roster would make absolutely no sense when you already have Terry Rosier and Tyler hero I don’t think this team gets better and if you are trading Jimmy Butler to me I am not trading for someone to stay afloat if I am trading Jimmy Butler I am committing to the future of Tyler hero and Bam which means you need to get as much young Talent Draft cap as possible to help try to add around Tyler and Bam in the future and when the next disgruntled star becomes available to potentially add as your third guy I don’t understand the Phoenix Suns buzz it makes sense for Phoenix sure maybe it makes sense for Jimmy Butler but if you are the Miami Heat and you had the power rank trade partners for Jimmy Butler and the four teams that have been linked Phoenix Dallas Houston Golden State I would put them third it would go Houston number one Golden State number two Phoenix 3 and Dallas 4 Dallas makes absolutely no sense it would have to be a wild three team deal and maybe this three team deal would have to be done with Phoenix but I think the gap of um Houston and Golden State as the top two trade offers and the bottom two of Phoenix and Dallas is quite large because they’ve got draft picks and young assets to send you these guys
