Chicago Cubs and Miami marins make a deal with former two top prospects Matt mvis and cash traded to the marins for vial Ran So Matt mvis a few seasons ago one of the best power hitters in all the minor leagues one of the top prospects in the Cub system so Matt mvis we haven’t seen much out of him in his major league career where he’s been a minor league player and he’s R down there hitting over 30 home runs in a season so we know this Marin team needed help at first base where they had some veteran options over the last couple seasons including Josh B last season in the first half and now they going get the youngster mous where there’s going to be no pressure on him he should be pretty much an everyday first baseman especially they traded Jake Berger way early in the off season to the Texas Rangers and now they could put mous out there in the rebuild and see what he has on the major league level so 2023 three home runs 11 RBI eight runs scored a 167 average and a 2421 base and then last season a cup of coffee in the majes only 26 at bats no home runs three RBI a run scored 115 average and a 148 on base so like I said we didn’t see much from mous he didn’t get much of an opportunity and now with this Miami Mar team where they needed help at first base he’s going to get an opportunity is mous in terms of fantasy baseball maybe someone in a deeper League you want to take a fly on like I said he’s got upside He’s got potential where he put up big numbers in the minor leagues and that we’ll see if it translates to the majors and that ran he was a top prospect in the race system and then last season got some playing time time where they traded everyone off was this Miami Marin team and he could play everywhere second third short and some Outfield so last season bran two home runs 16 RBI five stol on bases 32 run scored a 222 average a 303 on base of this Cup team we know they made a big move in the offseason traded for Kyle Tucker and bruan he’s going to be nothing more than a utility man and someone to fill in at multiple position for this CB team and start a few times a week but in terms of fantasy baseball batting average hasn’t been there power hasn’t been there high strikeout guy and nothing more than a utility man is a 25th 26 man so in terms of this deal if you want to Target anyone for Fantasy Baseball going into the season in the next couple months here I think Matt mvis would be the player like I said he’s got 2530 home run potential we saw it in the minor leagues and now he’s going to get an every OPP day opportunity with his Cup team where Ban’s nothing more than a utility man tamat mvis Ral bushan a deal of former top prospects traded and we’ll see if these plays can help their new teams at the ring the 2025 season
