how good they are I think that’s fair to say Oklahoma undefeated led by Jeremiah Fierce Porter Moser who last offseason everybody seemed to write off and say yeah he’s not that good of a coach he’s going to leave Oklahoma well he’s 10 and0 through 10 games largely because yes jeremi fears on the roster Jeremiah fears looking like a true lottery pick sensation Superstar right now this is the battle for Atlanta’s Champions who kind of made light work of that tournament close games but they beat Providence Arizona and Louisville all in impressive fashion and uh coming off a weekend Victory where they blew out their rival beat Oklahoma State by 15 so Flawless resume at this point for the Sooners Michigan not a Flawless resume in fact a decently flawed resume 8-2 right now haven’t beaten a top 30 opponent Wisconsin has fallen significantly and when I say haven’t beaten top 30 opponent I should say haven’t played a top 30 opponent they’ve lost to Arkansas lost to Wake Forest who’s Fallen all the way outside the top 100 they’re not going to play a top 30 opponent in this game because despite Oklahoma being 10 and0 kenpom is not buying it kenpom has the Sooners ranked 37th in the country has three spots ahead of Arkansas who Michigan just lost to Michigan 23rd in the country per kpom despite this kind of sleepy resume to me so undefeated team kpom not buying team with two losses Kemp pom is buying what are you buying well first thing I’m buying is I think both these teams and I think you would agree is it fair to say you think both these teams have maybe overachieved given what preseason preseason expectations were so far early on I don’t know that I’d say Michigan is overachieved they’ve achieved a little okay Oklahoma’s definitely overachieved yeah and the thing about Oklahoma is you know they kind of the one I think Porter MOS has done a really good job of kind of just kind of establishing what this team’s identity is going to be like he had Jeremiah fears honestly kind of fall into his lap given the the timing of when he wanted to come to college and the decommitting and what his options necessarily were and on top of having Jeremiah FS kind of fall into his lap you get a bunch of old older guys older guards older players around him that defend and that can shoot the ball and that are really really good like jalon Moore is one of the more underappreciated kind of forwards in the country Go Wings in the country he’s been really good for them this season he’s averaging 17 and six he was really good in the battle for Atlantis um now I think you will find out a little bit about this Oklahoma team in this game because Michigan is going to be I think the second like top I think because Arizona’s currently like 30th I believe outside of that they don’t really have a top 50 win the schedule’s been kind of soft for Oklahoma so uh you know that undefeated might be there there are some folks out there that are calling their undefeated record a little bit fraudulent given where they’re ranked right now um and I think kenpom kind of reflects that a little bit as you see Oklahoma’s 37th and Michigan is currently 23rd um so this is going to be a it’s going to be an interesting game because I think Oklahoma has the better guards in this basketball game but then Michigan has the better front Court players which I think could be the case on on on on some different nights given Michigan’s guards inconsistency so it’ll be interesting to see kind of what gives in this basketball game yeah um yeah it well there’s a lot of ways this could go um just in general Oklahoma 37 best team in the country think they’re better or worse than that that feels right I think they might be a little bit better maybe SEC play exposes them a little bit but like right now I view them as like a top 30 35ish like I I don’t know like 37 is like you’re a bubble team I think it’s tournament team well yeah I guess so yeah I mean they’re an NCA tournament team I think so probably like closer to 30 I okay I think I’d agree with you there Michigan 23rd too high too low just right just right feels too high for me I’m serious that Arkansas that Arkansas game took it out of you I wouldn’t rank this team right now good like the 23rd best team in the country puts away the 40th best team of the country when they’re up 20 I don’t think that’s an exaggeration like the issue Michigan has held in every single game this year is they build a big lead and then they just like take their foot off the gas for 15 minutes so if you can’t put teams away I don’t know I’m not trying to be too down like I think Michigan’s ceiling is probably around 20th in the country but like they’re they’re not playing to their ceiling right now right Alo you’re okay I was I was saying kind of big picture where I think michig I think Michigan like big picture is going to be somewhere between 20th and 25th like that feels kind of where they end up I think they would get there if they hit their ceiling it’s a big if to me right now like I we don’t know if this team is going to fully get there if they do get there I feel like they’re closer to 23rd than they are right now we’ll see maybe I’m wrong I don’t know I don’t mean to [ __ ] on my own team but um so in the Pat Kelsey Mark Pope game this week there was a big thing on uh like Coach of the Year pack hel was calling Mark Pope the coach of the year if the season ended today I just want to on record Porter Moser would be my coach the year if the season ended today I don’t think it would be particularly close it is a lot harder to flip Oklahoma from a non- NCA tournament team when everyone wanted you out to what they are right now to the battle for Atlanta Champions to a 10 and0 start than it is to just come to Kentucky and win like that’s I por like what Porter’s doing I don’t think should be swept aside is like a joke right now flip side Porter Porter wants to leave he’s on his contract year run right now probably yeah he’s like yeah I need to put something together I could have left after last year maybe to like depal or something like that but I wasn’t necessarily good enough let me see if I can I can I could put together a little something in this contract year and then get get a better job yeah I’ve joked about it him and Jeremiah FS are playing for their paycheck at the next destination right now and it’s a nice pairing which is fine if you’re Oklahoma you’ll take this like you’re Oklahoma B basketball like I understand like you’ve had some successful years um but like you’ll you’ll take this in the play you’re getting from your guys you talk about Jeremiah Fierce fell into his lap you know the part about something falling into your lap that people never talk about you got to have a lap por Moser has a lap like if you don’t have a lap Jeremiah fears can’t fall into the lap Porter Moser has lap he has a lap um Jeremiah fears is the big question for me in this game what is Michigan’s defense going to be able to do against him he’s a stud I think he’s a legitimate lottery pick at this point brother of Jeremy FS as we have talked about a bunch in this channel he’s been Sensational this year the only thing he hasn’t been Sensational at threes aren’t going down for him right now he’s in a little bit of a slump as seems like every lottery pick freshman is right now but he’s shooting 30% from three on the season I think he’s won for his last 12 from three in his last three games uh outside of that though he’s been like legitimately great playmaker he’s got a couple seven assist games he’s you know multiple assists three to five to seven every single game he’s been in double figures as a scorer every single game started off the bench he started the last six games three kenpom MVPs in that span uh if you watch the film on it it’s really impressive like he’s just he’s a polished scorer dude he does it every way possible his bag is very very complete for a for a reclass freshman too at that um he’s also gotten noticeably bigger since he’s gotten Oklahoma and his his like because he’s not necessarily like overly quick overly athletic anything like that not saying he’s not not a non-athlete or anything like that but he is just everything is just so polished so together um very Advanced for his age um and he’s able to get really wherever he wants on the floor when he wants to get there and I know the three aren’t falling for him I I’m a believer that they are going to fall I I you know I think you and I I still remember the start the summer off here we came on here and talked about a Jeremiah F’s ebl 50 ball where he was banging threes like I I think he has the ability to be a better shooter than a 30% shooter but given like how he gets to the hoop and how he finishes and gets to his spot hasn’t necessarily just needed the threes to drop at an extremely high clip he’s been very efficient shooting 48% from the field yeah no he’s been Sensational Michigan you guys do have seven Footers though we have seven Footers but I like we just put Vlad and drop in the pick and rols and like that’s been what we’ve been vulnerable against so this feels like a Jeremiah FS takes like 24 shot attempts game that’s not good no it’s not good at all yeah he he’ll make a good amount of those yeah offensively what’s Michigan I mean they’re going to play through Danny wolf he’s been Sensational as of late um how do you think Oklahoma will Faire in trying to stop the Danny wolf big screen and roll stuff uh I honestly don’t think they can I don’t think they have the personal to do it they’re not a great defense they have an incredibly low block rate they give up a lot of offensive rebounds all of those things are very good matchups for Michigan’s double seven-footer lineups yeah I think their their their big man Sam Godwin is like he’s I I don’t even know if he was playing really that much honestly where was he at last year he’s in like his six year college basketball he transfer originally from wa from Watford uh but he’s just he’s solid at best let’s just say that um Danny wolf and Vlad goldner Head and Shoulders above him which to me is how Michigan needs to win this basketball game there’s such a big discrepancy between Michigan’s front court and Oklahoma’s front Court have to dominate this basketball game like so Sam gwin’s been pretty awful on the season you go through what happened in the battle for Atlantis he wasn’t really playing more than like 20 minutes a game and in the games that he was he like he didn’t do anything right um he’s coming off the best game of his career Oklahoma’s big 20 points 14 rebounds two blocks three steals in the Oklahoma State win at that’s a little bit of a let’s look at Oklahoma State also he was getting also he was getting dimed up he did catch and finish I will give him that he was catching and finishing everything but 14 rebounds pretty crazy well I’m saying he’s like a high he’s like a high energy 610 big I don’t think that’s working against any good big man let me give Godwin the Google search treatment kind of looks like Aaron Baines Sam Godwin is the Carson Cooper of Vlad goldens oh what’s Vlad golden the Vlad Vlad goldens Vlad golden is the Vlad golden of of Vlad goldens of Vlad goldens okay feel a little more optimistic than I did coming in uh do we wna go straight to prediction you got anything else on this game um I mean I think we do need to talk about Michigan’s guard play somewhat uh just because like like outside of fears like I mentioned Moore’s been good and then they got the transfer I want to say he transfer from Dayton Elvis um Kobe Elvis yeah a lot of guys that played a lot of basketball outside of guys with fears um you know I I don’t think that Donaldson can do his halfy happy off off thing this game and he’s been off and on I think it’d be a great time for him to show up for the Invitational yeah if we can uh if you can’t have that from Trey then you can’t have Trey because I think that is Trey oh that is that that’s part of the The Donaldson that’s the treyway that’s just Trey yeah oh can I get some can I get one LJ KAS please can I get can I get can I get a four minute stretch of LJ KAS and Jeremiah FS going against each other you could get that you also could get you could get a DMP coach’s decision for K so I don’t know I guess we can get the predictions then think so we haven’t even mentioned Oklahoma’s best player probably should do that Jaylen Moore is actually their true best player no he’s he’s really good then he in theory is gonna be the wolf matchup right how how big is he I think he’s only like 66 yeah 66 21 yeah 67 that’s the wolf matchup wolf should like that right yeah that well see that’s what I’m saying like not to do like game to game things here but to me the reason y’all lost the Arkansas game is because the Gap in the front Court was a lot closer than than you wanted to be right like Arkansas’s front Court player stepped up the gap between this front court and and Michigan’s front Court should be massively wide like Michigan needs to dominate it um and a guy like Jon Moore I’m not even sure who’s gonna get that assignment whether it be like I don’t know Rod Gil or even Danny wolf you want to put him on and Danny wolf can stay in front of jalon Moore yeah I think there’s a lot of boxes checked here of like good matchup for Michigan I think Oklahoma doesn’t keep teams off the offensive boards Michigan likes that um I think you know if you if your best player is going to be someone that Danny wolf matches up with defensively I think we feel pretty good about that Danny Wolf’s bigger he can probably get what he wants offensively in this game they don’t have an imposing center it’s really just Jeremiah Fierce that’s the one thing that you Circle that scares me from a Michigan perspective but I guess will take here neutral floor better team Oklahoma’s eventually gonna lose I’m gonna take Michigan this basketball game um I think Michigan wins uh I’m G say I think it’s G to be up there in points so let me I’m g go 80 83 to 75 highly entertaining game yes like a great Danny wolf game great Jeremiah Fe game yeah like star star game that would be funh okay I think if you believe in Michigan as a legitimately good team this is a really good spot for Michigan Oklahoma can’t go undefeated forever Michigan coming off the Arkansas loss knowing they need like some sort of resume boosting win metrics say Michigan’s better than Oklahoma a lot of the matchup boxes do lean towards Michigan in the just the schematic elements of the game I’m going to take Oklahoma to win the game I think Oklahoma has the best player I think Oklahoma has the best guard and when Michigan goes up against teams with the best guard they lose that game that’s been the story this year we lost to Wake Forest because Hunter Salis was good lost to Arkansas because they had good guards everybody we beaten doesn’t have good guards in my opinion Ryan Conwell from Xavier was good but they were in over their heads and that team stinks right now so so um yeah I I don’t know I buy I think that my my large Point here is I don’t buy what the analytics are selling me on this I don’t think Michigan is 14 teams better than Oklahoma I don’t think they should be three and a half Point favorites against an undefeated team that won the battle for Atlanta like at some point give some credit where credit is due uh Jeremiah fears just torching drop coverage seems like it’s likely to happen in this spot we’ll see hope I’m wrong hope that uh they get a marquee win we’ll be here to recap it this video is brought to
