back on it the power play has been pretty good this year for UMD when we talk about Jason herder he’s in charge of the penalty kill for Western Michigan and that group’s going to get tested right off the bat they they are I mean you’re talking about a bright spot for the Bulldogs this year has been the power play they’re seventh in the country Zach at 25.6 so uh this Western PK’s got their work cut out for him uh you know when getting Max plant back is only going to help that gallon held his own now a short-handed Champs the other way this is Michaels Breakaway for Western Michigan he’s scores short-handed goal Owen Michaels and it’s Western Michigan on the board first one nothing yeah uh get a look at the replay here Scott sandlin’s not happy I think he’s looking for an interference call at the at the far blue line on this he’s not going to get it and uh Western pounces on the loose Puck and number 34 michas makes no mistake about it one little move and puts it up top shelf glove at it here uh and just active sticks in front of the net in a in a screen you can see right there uh beautiful tip especially on home ice first Minnesota then North Dakota now Western Michigan all top 10 teams that have come in here and so far put lopsided scores on UMD we’ll see if that changes tonight and then obviously another chance for the Bulldogs tomorrow this is a takeaway plant long shot there second of the night for Zam that comes on the heels of a three-point night he had last Saturday in Miami drazner ahead for Western now sidowski chases it down Center as they score Ethan wal Walters answers right back for Western Michigan it’s 5-2 wow and that’s a back breaker goal there and there it is it’s Walthers again who’s having a great night uh for Western again we mentioned earlier in the broadcast uh Minnesota Wilderness Alum and uh Bulldogs again with another breakdown and he he beats the back Checker to the net and uh it’s a pass e
