e e welcome to the baseball insiders merry Christmas happy Hanukkah where the Flames of the monora still Burns uh eight days and eight nights and Corbin is an Arizona Diamondback which was not true the last time that we were live which was all the way back on December 19th we’ve got a lot to go over Burns has found a new home teoscar Hernandez has returned to his old one Alex bregman Pete Alonzo plenty of big names still on the market we’ll get you what we can and answer as many of your questions as we can get to in the Discord in the comments thank you for joining us uh this still feels strange to be on the air in 2024 I’m ready for 2025 I’m ready to get into spring training and into the new season uh but to talk me through everything that we learned in the interim and again get to as many of your questions and the comments are apparently angry I’m not wearing glasses which okay suck it up is fansided MLB Insider Robert Murray Robert um my voice is kind of gone I sort of sound like you on that one solo show you did where you were chugging electrolytes out of a bottle but let’s uh let’s do our best and let’s give the people what they want no let’s let’s do it uh you sound a lot better than I did that one day Adam because I sounded like a I sounded like a pilot doooo we we see we’ll see we’ll see where we are by minute 20 no but you’re you’re doing a great job but man is it good to be back here doing the baseball insiders I appreciate everyone who’s tuning in now apologize for being late was on the phone with a source trying to figure out some stuff that’s going on around the league uh have not gotten an answer on stuff yet so we’ll see um but it’s good to be here we got lots to talk about lots of things happened over the break Adam how are you doing besides your voice not being 100% I am doing good I’m getting roasted in the comments for some reason I guess some of you are used to the beard uh and for good reason I I had a beard for like a month and a half I I almost forgot that I did that but holidays clean fresh start in 2025 uh the New York Yankees yes DJ lahu maybe their second or third basement probably not but maybe and we’ll talk about it we’ll talk about potential options we got some Discord questions about that as well we appreciate everybody joining us we’re going to be returning to a regular offseason schedule next week uh players who who are unsign and whose markets have really yet to materialize so like a lot of you have questions about we got J our questions we’re like oh like we’re we’re still waiting there are plenty of Players whose names are barely even you know getting floated at this point and and uh you we’ll see we’ve got s tonere in the comments I definitely want to talk about him as well um and make biggest stories of the big leagues with humor insight and behind the scenes info uh wof great okay plenty of updates plenty of questions but let’s start with Corbin Burns just because I don’t this was an odd one to me uh he chooses the high aav we we hear that there are teams that outbid the Diamondbacks over the course of this process but he gets 35 million annually and he gets an opt out after a year two also staying home with his twins you know the Arizona area it’s comfortable it’s convenient and it’s a fact that I kind of wish we’d known like two months ago because it really colored this whole process uh but for you when did Arizona enter the picture and how did Toronto San Francisco and and maybe even Boston and Baltimore get left behind yeah as far as Burns’s for agency goes this kind of came out of left field the the Diamond Backs to my knowledge were not that seriously involved until late in the process and burns wanted to be in Arizona or wanted to be close to um Arizona especially considering his ties to the area he lives in Arizona his family’s here and being around burns when I was in Milwaukee for a few years I learned very quickly that his wife and his kids uh were his world so it makes total sense um that um that he wanted to be in Arizona and it was a really nice fit for Arizona as well and they are they obviously have the long-term security Now with Burns I know he’s got the opt out after a year or two but he gives them a solid strong number one part of the rotation and it also prepares them in case Zack gallon does leave in free agency which um you would think that could be a likely scenario we’ll see uh but it gives them insurance for now but as far as the remaining teams um as far as the other teams there that were involved the Giants they did have interest I said repeatedly on the show I was skeptical that they were going to end up being the team that seriously won the bidding um or that would be in serious contention to win the bidding um they did have interest but I don’t necessarily think that was the most likely thing in the world um Toronto they did have interest there but I just struggled to see him going to Toronto um I know the Jays are on some other pieces but I did not think Burns is a realistic option or a real option for Toronto I think he it was really important for him to be close to his family in the west coast and being with the Diamondbacks that was a scenario that was kind of too good to be true and when they stepped up with the 200 plus million dollar offer that’s when the deal ended up getting like real close and obviously finalized um but yeah the Diamondbacks they entered this process late that is something I can definitively say and now Burns is a diamond back so if you’re keeping track Corbin likes his wife and his kids Corbin Burns dislikes the arbitration process um I want to get to the Super Chat here because it’s also something that we are getting asked about from many different parties and and a couple players that we are going to talk about later but I wanted to touch on Anthony sandir up top before we even get into the done deals uh because I do want to ask about teoscar and the circumstances there but Anthony sandera there was a lot that came out yesterday about he’s suddenly the Tigers Plan B you know the angels were connected to him as a front runner the Blue Jays were connected to him as a front runner so I want to touch on the you know the reality of those reports can we consider the angels and blue jays Front Runners do we feel like he’s getting a defined Market at least as we head into the new year yeah as far as santand there goes I can say the angels have interest there they are one of the teams that are that are involved there are others in involved here as well it’s not just the Angels there’s look at the Blue Jays have been mentioned um there’s the Tigers even got mentioned I believe it was Evan petzel uh who covers the Tigers in Detroit over there he mentioned the Tigers as well so and there’s other teams that are involved in this as well but um he’s drawing plenty of interest that much I know I don’t know if anything is imminent there by any means but the Angels reports I know there’s a lot of people who are wondering about that yesterday after the reports um but I can indeed say that the angels are interested yeah okay great and and helpful and sorry to all you Angels folks uh that we don’t have more Beyond in consideration but they’re interested so keep an eye on sandir um people asking about the Dodgers and rightfully so because after a lot of trepidation around teoscar Hernandez they did secure his Services he announced it himself on Instagram uh so we’ve been cycling circling that fit forever it ends up coming to fruition but I know Blue Jays fans were interested in a Oscar reunion I know Red Sox fans had their eye on him as a right-handed bat so uh question I guess on the fit that seemed inevit and then doomed and then suddenly perfect again were there any other teams seriously interested in teoscar and uh as far as the Dodgers go we know they’re in on Roki szaki how close to Dun is their off season or like the Discord asked are they still in on a Tanner Scott too yeah they so the Dodgers starting with thosar Hernandez they were always the team to beat here and I had never really envisioned a scenario in which the Dodgers would end up losing out on the top to Oscar Hernandez bidding he made it a abundantly clear during the postseason that he wanted to return to La that it was 1,000% what he wanted to do and the Dodgers had interest in in retaining thosar obviously um but they there was always the understanding between both sides that they were going to wait until after after the World Series or whenever their season ended um that talks would end up getting rekindled it it happened later than most people would have thought because to me after seeing all the comments from tasar and seeing how the dods were interested in retaining him I thought that would be one of the first deals that ended up getting um that ended up getting done but lo and behold it did not um but now it’s now it’s done uh tiscar is remaining with the Dodgers um but as far as the other teams that were involved the Blue Jays they had interest the Red Sox had interest we even saw the Mets according to Tim Hy made a two-year offer um I never really saw a realistic scenario where the Dodgers would end up getting up bid or just or maybe they could they I mean they could have gotten up bid but I didn’t see any real scenario uh where he would end up Le leaving La and he’s now staying with the Dodgers I don’t necessarily think they’re done I think Roki Sasaki remains in play um adding another Bullpen arm is something that they’re looking at as well they were on Devon Williams we even saw Devon Williams say he thought he was going to La yeah um I think taner Scott is drawing um he’s drawing a lot of interest I know that he’s got a lot of contending teams involved here to no surprise whatsoever um and I would not be surprised if the Dodgers remained one of those teams well well well eyeball emojis uh thank you and Shout Out Dodgers fans thank you for joining us you know stay tuned and keep tuning in to the baseball insiders because I think we’ll probably be talking about your team a little bit more before uh spring training and the regular season begins uh now to a couple of big names who still find themselves without clubs we got a Super Chat asking about Pete Alonzo great timing because we want to talk about Pete Alonzo too I had my eyes peeled for maybe a Pete Alonzo Mets reunion even ahead of Christmas here we are on December 30th that has not happened we got the John Heyman column saying come on guys it’s time to get together that was a week ago that two sides have not gotten together for a while to me it felt like okay you know the Mets are waiting this out they’re they’re playing the waiting game they’re staring Alonzo down but at the end of the day you know any other team’s even really in on him is anybody considering him and now it sort of does feel like it’s a little bit more open than it was uh so what can you tell us about Alonzo is is the Mets return as inevitable as teoscar to the Dodgers or are there some other teams that can make noise here you know I don’t think it’s as inevitable as tasar and the daughters was like the the fit to me between Alonzo and the Mets makes perfect sense um but there is a gap in negotiations and Alonzo wants one thing and that the Mets are willing to give another and there’s there’s a gap that exists um and there’s other teams that are involved here we saw Susan celester connect the Giants and that fit makes total sense to me uh they Lamont Way Jr is has been made available in trade talks um and they have a need for a first basem both in the short term but and also in the long term as well and that fit makes plenty of sense especially since they ended up making a bid for burns so it’s clear that they have money uh or at least some money available to to try to upgrade the roster um another team that makes sense to me as the Mariners but by all indications they don’t really have that much money to spend so I can’t really see the fit there but there the Gap that exists between Alonzo and the Mets it it it’s there um I’m very curious to see if that Gap ends up getting um mended and they end up coming together for a deal I would not be surprised at all if that ends up happening because I think Alonzo and the Mets are a match that’s kind of made in heaven just they’re not able to line up on the value and that’s currently where where talks are at and yeah outside of the Mets though we kind of just are looking at the Giants and the Mariners won’t quite you know the need is obvious but the the Mariners desire doesn’t seem to line up with his value we’ heard the angels a couple of times in recent days that feels like a weird Ry play I I mean is there anyone else we’re looking at other than the Mets and Giants here I I honestly I don’t I don’t know i’ I’ve tried checking and I have not been able to really figure out like a a real strong fit here for Alonzo other than those two teams I could be missing one but those two teams to me seem like the most plausible at least on paper um but yeah that’s that’s where we’re at right now great oh it’s down to the Mets Giants and Fukuoka soft bang Hawks as far as Let’s uh let’s see let’s see where that lands uh well next up obviously we have to talk Alex bregman and I know we’ve got Red Sox fans want us to talk Socks baseball uh bregman feels like an appropriate fit for the Red Sox at this point or at least he’s definitely a player that the fans are heavily invested in the outcome of his free agency uh we saw somebody in the comments noted earlier that bregman tweeted that 2025 is going to be amazing and a bunch of Mets fans are like did he mean amazing or amaz in like what’s going on here um he the Tigers plan a according to Evan petzold right now as well and they signed glabber Torres move Colt Keith to first base uh so enjoy first base Colt Keith open up Spencer torlon trade rumors if that’s the kind of if you’re the kind of sicko that’s excited by Spencer Tolson trade rumors at the end of December then this is your lucky day uh but uh right now it feels like the you know Red Sox fans water bregman update so do Mets fans Tigers fans definitely do uh out he’s out in Houston not coming back any uh latest updates on bregman and then Tyler milin asked earlier if you’ve heard any connections to the Red Sox in a right-handed bat Beyond bregman and Randle Guk which are the two names we’ve heard sort of prominently connected to the Red Sox various capacity so far so latest on bregman and then as an addendum latest on the Red Sox yeah as far as bregman goes the Tigers rumors are legit and it makes it makes total sense because they have a need there but they also have the AJ hinge connection and they know they know each other very well from their time in Houston uh I don’t know if they’ll have the money that’s necessary to get a deal done there uh but that fit on paper makes a whole lot of sense for both sides the the there’s rumors that have connected both the Red Sox and the Mets there I can’t really I’m I I can only speak from what I’ve heard and I have not heard much Buzz connecting bregman in the Mets for for whatever that’s worth I also I’ve I’ve seen what Jared kbus has said about bregman and the Red Sox possibly not being that uh like or not happening or I’m not going to say it’s not happening I just don’t think that’s the most likely scenario in the entire world we saw that um Craig Craig bresa ended up saying that they’re they’re looking in other areas uh besides that I’m not saying uh he he didn’t rule out bregman by any means but he he kind of gave the hint that there’s other things that they’re prioritizing on the roster to try to upgrade there but there’s no real obvious fits for for bregman besides the Tigers um I thought it return to Houston especially after Dana Bron’s comments at the GM meeting saying it was their top priority that they’ve had some serious and and productive dialogue I thought that was going to be a fit that ended up happening but there their offer was not good enough and Boris and bregman are remaining on the market now but um those that’s those the three teams that have been mentioned most in the rumors that’s what I can confidently say from what I’ve from what I’ve gathered there well uh interest in any uh you know if Craig brel says they’re prioritizing other areas you have any inclin what those other areas might be or is he just sort of cooking a lot of stuff behind the scenes yeah there’s a right-handed bat I know is one of them they’ve had conversations with a bunch of different teams or just in players in general about that but they’ve also looked for Bullpen editions as well so those are I mean bregman fits the right-handed bat I just don’t know I just don’t know if that’s the most likely scenario for bregman could be wrong uh been wrong before but um those I know from what breslo has said and what the Red Sox have indicated behind closed it’s right-handed bat in bullpen and Chris Martin’s still a free agent and I know he sort of indicated he would come back they they’ve still got some stuff they can do and Garrett crochet Walker buer not a bad start Walker buer fit I love by the way in case anyone yeah same here and it makes it it’s such a Red Sox move and they did I mean it’s it’s makes a lot of sense and they tried for they tried very hard for Shane Bieber and I thought at one point it was going to end up happening um obviously kind of similar situations there with coming off at Tommy John but obviously ber ended up returning um last year and pitched productively for the Dodgers especially in the postseason so he’s further ahead than Bieber was uh when they pursued him but this that fit made so much sense for for the Red Sox and the fact that they got ber who I think is GNA end up being very good this year and also getting Garett crochet who to me was the best left-handed arm or just one of the best arms in general available um that was a that was really good work by Craig breslo he’s he he’s tried for a lot of different things and I know Red Sox fans are very sick of hearing oh we tried or the Red Sox were interested or they were seriously involved I I get you’re sick of hearing that but your GM is trying he is doing a very good job and the fact that he’s made these additions and he’s also not done you should end up being you should be very happy because I think he’s done a good job considering the circumstances here I I would agree and and look dreams of Corbin Burns of course but that was before the crochet trade and then after the crochet trait to supplement that with one year of ber at at a at the qualifying offer cost with flexibility Beyond this year I mean I feel like that’s a fantastic fit and also just a a dog a playoff dog so uh good job by the Red Sox so far and and working on more to come it would seem um anything else uh in that notebook before we get to a couple of super chats and some questions from our of your questions yeah as far as some of the other stuff that I’ve heard it’s I’ve heard that there’s some there’s been some movement on the bullpen Market I know uh as I said before Tanner Scott is is drawing a lot of interest there I don’t know if anything imminent there but there’s there’s teams that are um that are like very they’re strongly pursuing Bullpen help and I wouldn’t be surprised to see some of these Bullpen arms come off the board in the near future I know the Diamondbacks are looking for a reliever after getting Corbin Burns um that’s just one of the many teams that are involved in the in the bullpen Market there um I I what was I going to say there was a there was let’s let’s answer some of these questions and then I I’ll then I’ll get back because I had something in my brain but I I forgot it sorry I’m I’m very loopy I I drove uh 26 hours uh from uh Wisconsin to Arizona I’m back in Arizona now I got back yesterday and I am I’m pretty toast I’m not gonna lie I’m it’s a struggle bus today yeah I I feel crazy I’m going back home tonight right now I I don’t yeah I just it’s like this this whole holiday break is a big soup like this is a work day we’re doing a podcast but it’s just like what day is it what year is it like what and why is it you know why is Corbin Burns a diamond back these are the questions that are going through my head during this uh this break week but let’s get to a couple of your questions we’ll do as best we can Clayton py with the Super Chat hearing anything on the Mariners making their first significant move of the offseason think all Mariners fans are probably United again Red Sox fans a couple in the chat frustrated with brlo not going far enough at least you’re not the Mayers because we heard Luis Castillo rumors maybe they’re going to sell the final years of that deal they’re aiming for Tristan Casas they won’t take yida yida back like there’s a crazy Red Sox Mariners trade that never happened but that’s left us still waiting for something anything significant or not so any thoughts on the Mariners as the offseason progresses my my thought on the Mariners is just pure frustration and you you look at the Mariners and they have a roster especially on the pitching side that is so close to being a contending team not just for the division but for the American League in general and you have a pitching staff that’s as good as anybody in baseball but yet you’re not willing to invest more dollars into the payroll to go out and get a pet Alonso or another one of these big bats and it’s staring you straight in the face and they’re talking about having to trade for one of those pitchers in order to to upgrade the the offense and to me I call that to me if if you’re the Mariners you you see that pitching staff you realize the opportunity that you have and you go all in and you go get Alonzo you go get a bregman you get or one of those guys and you add some some of these other players that are still on the board and you upgrade the offense to a point where maybe it’s slightly above League average or maybe it’s a like a borderline top 10 offense if you have that kind of offense and you have that pitching staff together you’re going to have the makings of something really special and they have an opportunity right in front of them they’re not reaching out to go get it and it’s a darn shame because Mariners fans deserve a lot better than that and I hope it’s this is that’s not a Jerry depoto thing that is a Mariners ownership thing and they should be looking at themselves in the mirror and realizing what they have in front of them because it’s just it’s right there and they’re not doing it it’s frustrating as heck well Clayton I hope you enjoyed paying for a Super Chat and hearing that the mar are disappointing and I I apologize for that Clayton but I’m passionate about this and like and they have not found any takers for a Luis Castillo trade and if they don’t get that done then I don’t know if they have the funds necessary to end up making a big move for the offense so that’s that’s where we stand right now I I apologize if that’s not what you wanted to hear in spending for a super chat um but I I I gotta I gotta call out Mariners ownership on that one because that’s just it’s a darn shame yeah and like another one of the commenters said like the Red Sox fan base is more disappointed because the Mariners don’t know what winning is yeah the Mariners have a lot at stake they need to get to a World Series they’re one of very few franchises that has never been there and the pitching core is absolutely there so it’s time to spend on offense hopefully uh to the comment section will Steve Cohen buy the Yankees uh yes you will next next question he’ll definitely do that um got a lot of people asking about um Pirates rumors Cody CLE Nathan Pirates right field Solutions the Pirates have a an underwhelming offense Brian deor Cruz was not the solution they’re still looking for a right field and we had a Super Chat asking about the angels too I know if Anthony sandir let’s say does end up with the angels that could speed up a Taylor Ward trade or a Joe Adele trade or and those would fit the Pirates nicely uh so double-edged sword question anything else cooking in Anaheim and and are the Pirates any closer to filling that hole in the lineup yeah as as I’ll stick with or I’ll start with the angels here I’ve heard obviously they’ve been connected to sandir now in rumors I had heard that they’re they’re open to adding another bat whether I don’t know if that’s just a a s tondere thing or just another bat in general um but that’s something that I’m I’m keeping an eye on for the Angels there um but as far as the Pirates go they they’re looking for a bat I’ve also heard they’re looking for a reliever um and I like there’s this is not sourced by any means but I think a fit that makes a lot of sense there would be Alex Verdugo uh I think Verdugo would get a lot of playing time in Pittsburgh I think he would um he would be a really good fit there I don’t know if I don’t know necessarily where that’s at or if there’s been dialogue but um to me Verdugo and the Pirates makes a whole lot of sense but I I I can promise you Ben cherrington and Perry are not sleeping they are not hibernating they are indeed trying to upgrade their rosters uh contrary to popular belief on Twitter and especially the Discord because apparently every GM is sleeping in there um but no those are the those are the things I’ve heard most prominently involving um both of those teams ah the Pirates another team looking to play Alex rugo over Jason Dominguez very interesting um we will we’ll keep everyone in the Discord posted on the pirate search as well so definitely keep asking talking about Jason dominguez’s current team Alex fugo’s former team Scott in the Discord asked uh We’ve touched on most of these Discord questions elsewhere but we have not touched on the Yankees uh they let glabber Torres walk we knew they would he goes to the Tigers fun fit there uh Jazz Chism will play either second or third not sure uh but they need a second or third baseman and everyone on Yankees Twitter is very concerned that it’s gonna be DJ lahu although I highly doubt that uh they’re also looking at Tim Hill and Andrew chiefin we heard last week but regardless of where they land I think they are still looking to bolster that Bullpen a little bit um any thoughts on the Yankees plans to fill that second or third base hole and we had a comment asking about Nolan arado too I know that was someone who who is you know popularly mocked for a couple days to the Yankees Jack because of the gold Schmid Edition Jack Curry threw cold water on that Joel Sherman threw some more ice water on that today I would say at this moment noan Aon not an option things could change but uh any thoughts on Yankees options and the Aron Market maybe if anything changed there and you’re hearing anything no I mean I I believe it was Jack Curry who said he didn’t see ronado happening for the Yankees and he like what I I say this phrase a lot and I’ll say it again when Jack Curry speaks you listen well you’re on mute ad so nobody heard you but I muted I muted and mou it I wanted to go along with you yeah no you did you did a good job with that but yeah when Jack Curry speaks you listen and if he says arnado isn’t happening uh then then you can pretty much write that as write that in ink um but as far as what they could end up doing to fill like the other infield spot um there’s not really that clearcut of like great options of available Hassan Kim is still available and he’s to me he’s an intriguing option um he’s drawn a lot of interest he’s been a very popular player here in for agency I don’t know I don’t think I’ve heard the Yankees link there I’m not that doesn’t mean that they’re not interested by any means but I think he could make some sense there um but the the Yankees they obviously lost Wan sto they’ve invested a lot of different resources into the roster they may have overpaid for Max freed I sent a tweet out the other day comparing the top deals for free agent pitchers and he ended up beating Blake Snell and Corbin Burns who are both previous Sai Young Award winners and got more guaranteed money there so they may have overpaid but getting the eighth year there is what ended up getting the deal done um but the Yankees they’re they’re not done by any means they are still looking um but I’m curious at it because you you follow the Yankees very closely here wish yes if you could have your option here which one would you have this is tough because I’m gonna end up look it’s going to end up with the Yankees getting an option that I’ve previously said I’m not that interested in like whether it’s Aron who’s you know regressing and the defense is still there but the bat isn’t and the the stadium fit doesn’t make sense and you wonder if he’s regressing because of a back injury and you can’t really shake that feeling and it might be true he doesn’t interest me but he interests me more than DJ lahu it’s a low bar to clear you know if they can get him and get off strowman’s money and get him basically out of wash then yeah I mean it’s only for three years what’s the worst that happens AR was a bench player by 2027 like it doesn’t sound that bad I wish there were a higher cealing option but I think I’m not sure Hassan Kim’s offensive ceiling is much higher than Aeron A’s and I don’t think Gaber Torres found something in the leadoff spot but for most of last year he was a net negative player whose defense and base running cost them just as much as his offense provided so uh he struggles when there’s too much pressure on him to you know in a walk year at the trade deadline when rumors swirl I was hoping that Gaber would get a two-year deal so that he could maybe pop off in 2025 and prove himself a little bit I now worry that he’s gonna have pressure on him in Detroit too but I’m I’m still glad the Yankees did not go there uh but if they open the season with Oswaldo Cabrera or DJ L who in as as a starter or platooning then I think you know we’re gonna start looking at unappealing options like Kim and Aron and wish that they had done those instead no I hear and Adam is indeed a Yankees fan again wish I often wish I was not but yes the guy on the right is a Yankee fan yeah he he is and he’s he’s great at what he does I I will I’m going to address these two comments here um uh but I that guy uh my trade value is very high right now he there’s a lot of teams that are checking in through the roof yeah through the roof um AJ PR is not asleep uh Kyle he is he’s trying he’s had plenty of conversations just the reality is he does not have that much Financial flexibility that is is that is really kind of where it’s at right now in Padre’s land it’s it’s a frustrating offseason I get it um but it was if if you’ve watched the show all offseason it’s been a common sentiment the Padres really just do not have that much money to spend here um will I I have seen these Braves rumors on Twitter um I have checked I have nothing really to confirm there quite yet um but just know I’m trying um but anthopolos keeps a very tight ship there so that is that’s what I can tell you I I I don’t know if it’s true I don’t know if it’s false I don’t know what it is but I’m I’m trying to figure that out and I will be doing a lot of digging after the show here I can assure you of that yeah but we do see your questions and obviously Braves fans I know probably tune in hoping that we would have something all we have is that Robert is working and I think you know Braves fans who are hoping uh you know there seemed to be a lot of folks on Braves Twitter who are indicating that something could be coming down the pike soon I hope so we’re I think this offseason hot take I think someone is also saying uh damn bro to me being a Yankee fan h rough yeah rough um but uh i’ I feel like this offseason my hot take is that this offseason’s actually been at a perfect Pace we’ve gotten significant news every like 36 hours and a lot of people earlier in the offseason were like why isn’t this like the NBA like why isn’t there a hard deadline and so like 30 done deals trickle out right after the clock hits a certain hour I don’t know then we’d be it would be December 30th we’d have absolutely nothing to talk about before spring training we wouldn’t have Sasaki we wouldn’t have bregman we wouldn’t have Corbin Burns waking everybody up with the news he went to the Diamond Backs after Christmas they were nice to us they basically gave us Christmas off so go enjoy time with your families you know go go Spike that eggnog and come back and and you’ll have a couple of moves to talk about when you get back on the show I feel like this offseason is actually working nicely like people in the Discord are like oh need to move today dying it’s like you GNA move every 36 hours but I do feel we want more moves too we love moves but overall not so bad no this has been a very good uh this has been a very fun offseason so far and we’ve there’s been a lot of movement it’s not like last year’s offseason it took a little while for the offseason to get started here but now that it’s going it’s it’s been pretty consistent that uh moves are happening and I can even tell you here’s a fun little story from when um from from Over the the holiday break here is I was up north visiting family and I had just gotten into the shower when I heard my phone go Ding and I look and it was the text letting me know that losardo got traded to the Phillies so I I I broke the losardo trade from the shower so that is my first time um I I think that that’s my first time breaking a move from the shower but it also is uh I think that’s what makes me an Insider now I think that’s the day it became official so that was that was a big day for my brand but yeah I I broke lazardo to the Phillies from the shower and now the baseball insiders brand it’s official it’s not Stolen Valor you know we we have at least one official Insider because we we’ve done a shower we got a shower move so you got check that off The Bucket List no we can it was it was big it was big and then all of a sudden later that day I was in a cabin in the in the Northwoods up in Wisconsin drinking Blackberry Brandy so it was it was a it was a it was a good time I’ve had a I had and people are gonna hate this but you know what that’s fine I got to be myself I had a 12 ABV mint cook Stout the other day from a local Brewery and it was electric so you know what hate haters haters uh I hear you hating I see you hating in the comments people saying I look like a teenager well I can still drink 12% alcoholic beer so how about that could a teenager do that yes it just wouldn’t be illegal yeah but also an adult can as
