Corby Craig you mentioned the Auburn Tigers they play Monmouth this is a uh game to close out basically their non-conference schedule before they get into conference play coming up uh Auburn a massive 36-point favorite this evening late this afternoon total 154 what do you make of this game you were just tting them moment ago about it’s going to be very tough to knock them out and beat them it is a lot of points Corby thoughts to start us off yeah I mean I um don’t know where to go on this game like 36 points it doesn’t matter if you think G is the best team in the country it doesn’t matter if you think monmouth’s the worst team in the country like this is just a number headed into conference play starts on Saturday does Auburn care to get to this number um good news bad news good news is Bruce Pearl always seems to have the gas on at home in these type of games um so it it wouldn’t surprise me if I I would say if Auburn came here ready to play uh Monmouth again like we talked about the the portal in football and everybody likes to complain about the portal but like three of mouth’s top five scorers all three starters obviously have all entered the portal like they’re actively in the portal while they’re playing on this basketball team so like I’m not sure Monmouth gives a care in the world at this point how can you stop Auburn the issue is Janai broom obviously a shoulder injury like is he going going to play the full minutes is he going to Care to win this game by 40 is he going to Care to rest up for for conference play does it even matter um I I don’t think it does I I couldn’t lay a 36 here but again Auburn’s the best team in the country it’s uh not particularly close in my opinion um not sure how mouth scores if you just wanted to be gross like maybe an under 154 the thought that like Auburn sit starters do won’t get anybody hurt they already have injury issues um we’ve seen Baker mazara have an ankle injury earlier in the year like it would be an easy spot just to I mean get up 30 and kind of Coast so this m team stinks uh again like I I I I don’t want to say like there’s an easy reason for them to quit in December but at the same time like half of this team is in the portal already so uh this is a team I would fade the rest of the year would be Auburn or nothing under nothing I didn’t bet it uh Jeff I’m curious because the Savages we can see them the peeps they’re all over Auburn and saying it’s not enough points they’re going to roll blah blah blah did this line move from when it opened has it gone up or down or is 36 about where it has been and that is a lot of points a lot of points but I I think at the end of the day I I wouldn’t get involved until I was getting like 40 um Monmouth as he alluded to is bad this is a 2 and10 basketball team um and I guess this shows you how bad Sean Hall might be because Sean Hall lost to this Mammoth group what’s interesting though is I think again I’m not interested in these types of spots where again it’s your last non-conference game right before the new year I think you’re really at this point if you’re Alburn you’re looking to face some competition and get out of these types of games um Mama does do some things well I mean they do make some shots um they’re a decent three-point shooting team they’re good at the free throw line they’re a decent offensive rebounding team now are there any of those things going to matter here no I will say I mean under my head i’ if you made me bet it I’d probably take Monmouth I I could see this game like 85 you know 58 or something thing it’s not going to be pretty um but I just don’t think Auburn cared too much about this one um then again though as he alluded to maybe M doesn’t either um I don’t really know that I’ve ever seen teams actively have people in the portal during the college basketball season um maybe during bowl game or something in college football but it’s pretty uh pretty wild to see it during the season we left the air saying Friday the NCA can legislate this stuff I mean they’re ultimately in charge on we’re not going to have a transfer portal while the season is going on while the regular season is going on have it in a finite amount of time after the season it’s crazy the only way I think the only way to play this at the end of the day would be if you like alurn first half you know you just got to hope that they come out and are up you know 42 18 or something um but I’d lean 40 to get involved with Monmouth at least and again Auburn has been off for nine days since the Purdue win Atlanta Corby did that total move any or has has it been at 154 is since it opened without checking I would almost guarantee that it hasn’t moved TJ I can’t imagine there’s a single person in the entire world on a Monday before New Year’s that wants to buy this game okay so we gave you some thoughts on it again it is on this afternoon I believe the SEC network uh coming up uh later on this afternoon at 5:30 local time SEC plus ESPN plus and SEC network Plus for Auburn and Monmouth one of the top teams in college B and how loaded is the SEC uh when you look at that [Music]
