[Music] you know as a maple leaf fan I tend to get um certain Canadians fans saying stuff to me sometimes and it’s fair oh you must be happy that the Canadians are bad not really honestly not really like listen I said it before and I’ll say it again the Canadians are always going to have a feather in their cap of when they crush the Maple Leaf’s dreams of winning a cup in that Canadian division which still kills me I know you guys know what I’m talking about but again I’m not happy that this team is bad okay like they’re a Crown Jewel of the NHL like dude the Canadian Center the Canadians fans like dude they’re passionate man they’re a passionate fan base like I hate it when teams that don’t care win like Florida like I have a lot of respect for that franchise but nobody cares about the Florida Panthers did you see their Stanley Cup Parade like nobody went nobody cares about your team right I’m sorry it’s just true you can get mad at it all you want it’s just objectively true it’s like you know it’s a fact anyways now here’s the thing we are now getting word Darren Drager was on uh TSN 1050 and by the way I love it when the Insiders go on talk radio it’s the best um for content and chatter so whatever now Darren Drager was essentially just saying yeah like you know Hughes is looking for literally anything to you know bolster his roster which I mean makes sense right now I don’t know what that could be uh but there’s been a struggle up and down their lineup the first thing that the things that the Canadians need more than anything is defense like yes I understand they need to be able to score scoring is important but like dude they are atrocious defensively like if you watch this team play they are so bad away from the puck like the one thing that I always say is you can deal with a team that’s like now you know they’re like maybe not that great defensively and you can kind of like deal with it maybe they’re average right but I just look at this team and I’m I am floored by how bad they are defensively and they would they might say why do you say this guys I would always encourage you just do basic calculations with stuff especially when you’re looking at a CO hockey you can look at this basic stats like dude they are they are getting scored on almost four goals on average every single game right they have allowed the most goals in the entire Atlantic division you know these sharks and Avalanche have allowed a similar amount of goals the only team that’s like really objectively worse defensively than them is a penguins who they’ve they’ve allowed 100 goals this season so far 100 goals that’s like four goals per each game anyways that is the number one thing that they need they need a solidified goalie and some blue liners I’ve always said it that like listen I would love to see if they would go after you know an Aaron eblad in the offseason or something like that like I don’t know how interested he would be in going to the Canadians and they would have to overpay him mightily albeit he has already won a cup though so you never know that he might consider that but they just desperately need they just desperately need defense man now the good news today is for the Montreal Canadians is that Patrick l looks to be making his debut against the New York Islanders and this is just fantastic news just for him as a person like I don’t really think it’s going to make much of a difference can you imagine if the Canadians actually made a comeback this season I would be floored uh which again probably is not going to happen but whatever um but yeah no this is just great you you just love to see this I I guess you could make the argument that if they played the entire season with line a like maybe if he had an unbelievable season but again if you can’t play defense in the NHL you’re freaking Toast Man like if you can’t play defense you’re done you’re you’re done they just get scored on way too much yes so today Tuesday when I am recording this line a is going to be back in the lineup I’m going to be really really really interested to see how he is skating that’s the number one thing I want to know I want to really look how he’s skating because he almost got his knee frakin obliterated by Cedric par I think his name is I mean just a pretty much no-name the d man just absolutely crush him or forward I can’t even remember what par is is but uh I’m just glad to see that he is okay and back and maybe the Canadians do have something here the one thing that I would like to see from the Canadians is just show competitiveness you know what I mean like just show that you can literally compete and you’ll be in a much better position next year um now you could make the argument that they might need to change coaches as well I mean they brought in St Louis who is not really an experienced coach like at all and and they just kind of gave him a roster to play with I mean you could make the argument that they might need a new coach as well right so Drager did mention Evans armia Dvorak card and maten as potentially uh being on the outs or at least kind of vaguely mentioning them when I’m telling you right now when insiders talk about these specific players I’m telling you they know something is going on and they’re hearing chatter around the NHL obviously you know we have already seen the move of David jur um on the Move uh going to Minnesota who by the way I know this is a Montreal Canadians video but take a look at Minnesota if you’re a hockey fan take a look at Minnesota man they are having a great season and they’re very good defensively one of the better defensive teams in the NHL so I’m not sure exactly what they’re going to be in the playoffs but they look damn good at least early in the season but anyways alas we are seeing GMS and this is good to see by the way open and honest about about saying like hey look I’m listening I’m open to trades let’s make deals they’re essentially telling insiders that straight up they’re telling the media that even Calgary is like yeah I mean I’m pretty they’re I mean Calgary is looking for a center but I mean like literally everybody’s looking for a center so good luck with that one we’re waiting on the New York Rangers to do something crazy like listen dude they are absolutely going to do something that just New York real quick like if you hear the rumors they got blown out again like 51 and the rumors the rumor mill is really churning uh with them and apparently they are right about to make a move and I’m really really excited to see what’s going to happen there I think that the New York Rangers are going to make a panic move in my opinion I don’t really think it’s a a that intelligent to make a move when you’re in a weak position like this um that’s just my opinion though I just really don’t like the idea of that um anyways I’m going to leave this Canadians video there if you could like
