took charge of his first premier league home game when Manchester United took on Everton commentary on this one from Jonathan Pearson was very surprised as for that way to be one nil down and then a anywhere in the Premier League but particular away from moment particularly here with new manager coming in and all the rest did you work on training with for the first goal Marcus Rashard hanging deep the most important thing on set pieces is the staff so congratulations on the stuff great job and of course we knew that also you can see the how big they are you know how small we are as a team today in in our lineup so we try to to to fill the game and to see where we have the space to to to create danger it wasn’t uh as easy as it as it looked today it was it was a difficult game I think I’m had done well counter pressing for for two of the goals you know it’s important for the players to understand these these strengths of individuals so we can you know feed of each other and um do what we can to to get the win ammad what a huge performance by him yeah it’s it’s it’s really big in Talent small in size but he did a great job he also has to improve but I think he’s in the very good moment uh but I think that three games that rud was in charge of this team help a lot Ahmad and Ahmed is now helping me uh well you want to have a look at Ahmad as well don’t you David but also the combinations that he had particularly down the right Marcus rashford was one but also Jonathan xery yeah I thought I thought they both played very well today I thought xery’s link up play was excellent I mean and right from the start you know they look as if they’re they’re confident playing it into him and it let other people go beyond them which he did do he found people with a pass then and uh but all game I thought Dio was a real threat you know and this was an early on he was getting at the fullback fullback was in his back foot all the time and the pass didn’t quite come off here but once again you know the ball was played out his pressing was terrific you know won the ball back it was a pure Mistake by Everton but he won the ball back really well and sets up suby for the for the finish so you know really good play By Di and this was the start this was the kickoff at the second half and I just couldn’t understand why meleno went so far across the pitch and left Dio free again xery then links It Up played out and allows Dio to get forward and again just a bit better defending by Everton but unbelievably good weighted pass which allows rashford to get the chance to score and even here late on later on you know the quer the box man united and I wouldn’t have expected di to get out of the situation here he’s surrounded they find a way they find a way of getting out and I don’t think Andy would have expected to go to win a tackle with tarkovski but I’ve got to say you know the final pass here allows zy to finish it one touch finish gets himself a couple of goals in a game both of them played really well for United today they really did um in his five live interview Afters Ruben amarim said that he thought the score line was misleading and certainly at times in the first half when it was goalless Everton had plenty of chances well yeah for the first 25 minutes half an hour or so Everton got into some really really promising positions but their final pass was was poor and this is this is a one of the reasons why they’ve not scored in the last four games scored 10 all season they they work it really well and I’m thinking go on carry on don’t stop we’re no no need to come back in on on that left foot you’ve created the space you’ve done really really well and the their good play as I said was a lot of it came in this early part of the game and D did really well gets her into a really good position and you’re looking for a good ball in there because you’ve got enough opposition attackers in there I should say you’ve got five options yes it comes into uh into betle but you take a touch and you take another touch and then all of a sudden man united are back they’ve got numbers back and they’re able to uh to clear it again that’s a really good ball in a good ball in behind for Betto he goes around the keeper not a great chance but a decent one you’d hope to uh to to hit the target and die again look at that there you think yes your eyes are opening up that final pass again which I don’t think is a difficult pass either side left or right and then all of a sudden they get punished yeah and this was this was something which I think Everton and D’s teams have always been very good at defending con set pieces but they’ve given up the edge of the Box you know they’ve decided to fill the Box a little bit more given up the edge of the box and they lose it and it it it takes a deflection in the way through but nevertheless it was really well worked by United and this one is really unlike I think D’s teams I don’t think they give many goals away I think they defend really well and they have done over over several seasons but they just seem to give goals away today and really really unlike Everton and as I say D’s sides and this one just that mentioned a little bit earlier on you know I just quite understand why they’ve gone so far across the pitch and left Dio as free as it is and said that as well didn’t did you know and again zery for me you know it sets the play up and it allows other United players to run Beyond them and lovely waited pass and the Finish but P defending by turovsky as well that not to go and track rashford all the way in and he and just here generally I’m looking at Everton and saying well he can’t get out of that spot you’ve got to win the ball here and you know tar will not like like this at all because this looks really poor he should deal with this much better either he’s got to tackle it or he’s got to pass it out and it opens up but again it just didn’t seem seem really like Everton there what what one of I mean the thing with Everton is that I mean defensively as you’ve pointed out in the main they’ve been okay so do you just write that off as a as a bad day at the office well I think he’s got a couple of really good Central Defenders and he’s got a really good goalkeeper as well which has helped him uh through the last couple of Seasons as well get results and you’ve talked a little bit about not not scoring quite so many goals but but dice’s always had them really really well organized they don’t make many mistakes just today looked like a day where they get caught out a couple of times Well historically they they are not great going forward and and sha D says over the last three or four years they haven’t been great attacking wise I mean this month they haven’t scored yeah there’s no goals in the last four games as I said joint fewest goals in the league in terms of scoring 10 that has to improve because as they saw today they don’t take those chances you know that the opposition at some stage are going to get one and they’re probably going to take one and the pressure piles on to you if you don’t score and the pressure piles on when you look at the fixture list that they’ve got coming up that we’ve got midweek round of play of Premier League games uh this week so that’s Wolves at home and where you think where you consider where wolves are David compared to the size that they then have coming up Liverpool Arsenal Chelsea and Manchester City there’s huge pressure on this game on Wednesday night yeah there is but you know I think Everton have got enough to make sure that they stay out of it but they’re going to have to win the games what they can I mean today was always going to be a hard game for them against Manchester United you know no matter what it would be uh and D had sort of alluded to that in his in his commentary but I have to say that they gave away goals today which was really unlike them they’ll need to be much better defensively they’ll need to get their set pieces back working because over the last last season or two they’ve been very good defending and attacking because that must win on Wednesday yes is it yeah I think so yeah particularly and historically or over the years the or has just had enough and being slightly better and I do think that still will be the case uh it was seven games without a win in all competitions for Aston Villa ahead of this afternoon’s trip to Stanford Bridge Mark Scott watch this one
