we got Steph in the building and I got my guy Lamont here we waiting for the rest of the crew to show up uh but in the meantime ladies and gentlemen we just going to talk to Nicks as uh you know we’re waiting for this game to start you know I mean as you can see can’t I got a block I’ll take that off but St I haven’t had a chance to talk to you in a minute it’s been a while uh what do you think about what do you think about the season so far I’m impress I I thought it would take a little longer than it has to come I didn’t think right now what 11 over 500 I wasn’t expecting that this soon I love what I’m seeing offensively I love the ball movement the player movement you know the fact that we’re healthy having back having I’m really surprised that pain I knew he would help us but he’s been really for us yeah I like when I’m like what I’m seeing we got to get that defense together waiting for Mi to come back hopefully get some vent help but overall I’m excited yeah me too I I like what I’m saying um I love the offense right you one of if not the best offense in the league right now and I don’t even know if we’ve uh I don’t even know all of the chemistry is together yet you know what I’m saying I think we’re still building the chemistry you know we’re still learning how to play with each other you know which is a great thing with the offense being the way that it is and we still Lear how to play with each othering um I think the defense has catch up to the offense uh I still think we need V presence and I know there’s a lot of people out there been arguing with me for a little while you know what I’m saying about uh um you know about Tom timido not using the bench and they’re calling me Simo now and and all kinds of stuff you know what I’m saying you know but um I think that uh I think that Tom Tibido has his system he has his way you know what I’m saying he’s not just going to throw somebody out there who does he doesn’t trust or he doesn’t believe can get the job done you know that’s just how Tom Tibido plays the game you know what I’m saying and uh you know I trust in what Tibido does uh I kind of agree with his philosophy you know you don’t you know one of the arguments that I got the other day was uh how do you know how good the bench is if they’re not playing and my my my response to that is because you see them in practice you know what they can and can’t do already you know what I’m saying that’s the reason why sham came right in and started getting playing time you know what I’m saying so you know I don’t know I think that uh I think we need to add another piece to the bench I think we need to add a scorer to the bench you know what I’m saying and and to make this team a little bit more complete I don’t know how we get that player but I I think that’s I think that’s going to be I think that might be a priority of the front office going into going going into February 8th is the trade that line you know Lamont what do you think man I got we got Lamont right here put it over to Lamont what do you think lont late November early December felt like not off that’s um that’s how help like something ahead go ahead lont keep on going go ahead lont keep on going uh go ahead go ahead you good bu yeah so just a couple things clean yeah yeah I mean definitely and and you know the good thing is that you know we just about have a little less than halfway through the season you know what I’m saying a little less than halfway through the season and we we got a chance to be 13 games over 500 tonight you know what I’m saying like 13 games over 500 uh and and a chance and we can even increase that uh you know after the new year you know what I’m saying you know when is the last time that we’ve been 13 games over 500 at uh at the new year you know what I’m saying yeah I can’t remember the last time we’ve been that way you know so you know any arguments that you know people have about tiido I think you know you kind of got to let it rest until we see the way the rest of the season uh I’m not saying don’t criticize you know things that he does because obviously every coach is going to have some some areas where they can improve you know what I’m saying but uh I think you know Tibido has been great for this team you know know what I mean um great for this team let me get a shout out real quick uh don Canon thank you Steph I know you were here for uh the game on Saturday Saturday uh what did you think about the game on Saturday you know were you concerned about it being such a tight game I I was no I mean there’s a part of me that wants the Nick to play better you think this is a team that’s bottom of the league bottom in the easn conference without K kma the Nicks should come out jump on them and win from beginning to end but there’s another part of me I think that’s more realistic these are NBA players um the Knicks as much as they’re playing well I don’t think they’re at 100% in terms of what’s possible for them offens offensively and defensively and I think they’re still delling I think they’re still learning and I think the the thing that I’m loving about the Knicks is they’re winning while they’re learning they’re winning even though they’re not playing their best I know a lot of Nick fans are kind of down on the aspect of the Knicks that how good is this team really they’re beating up on you know bad teams just win baby I mean the coaches are behind you know behind the scenes making notes of the coaches know even though we’re winning this is what we have to sh up they’re making those notes anyway but while you’re learning win however you can get it from start to finish grind it out however you can get it this is the NBA you get it how you can and that’s what the Nicks are doing right now rightl when they’re on the so this is a team that even improving they can no and and and I think they’re a team that has uh they’re improving like they’re getting better you know they got they don’t have a lot of wins five wins or something like that but they’re uh they play hard they’re learning how to play with each other and when you look at the first Saturday’s game with a back-to-back game for the Knicks uh they got in late you know what I’m saying uh probably were like ah you know we we should run through these guys you know what I’m saying and came out and slept on them a little bit and so then it was a tight game you know I look to myself I say well okay all right it was a back to back got in slept on the team a little bit um pulled off the wing today I expect it to be different a lot different you know what I’m saying I expect it to be a i’ like Fort to be a blowout you know what I’m saying I like be I think it was impressive though that they grinded it out and went into overtime and even won the game given what you’re saying about it being the back to yeah yeah yeah they grinded it out um so and like you were saying step to to be learning on a job and winning you know what I’m saying to to have night when you’re not really playing well and still win I think is impressive for a team like like that’s I think that’s the the Hallmark of a good basketball team to be able to not play well and still win you know what I’m saying to be able to to struggle and still win you know uh you know play up come off for back to back traveling leag all of that and still win now you got you know two nights rest um be a little bit more relaxed I expect them to come in and take care of business tonight saying and and and know run these guys run these guys off the floor now let me ask you this is it possible though because the Wizards also beat the [ __ ] in preseason right um is it possible that maybe they just not they don’t match up well maybe the wizard just gotta got some kind of match up with the yeah I think that’s possible um OG in that I was watching the first half and I was close enough to like really just focus on him he put a lot of work in particularly in that second half I think he only had what nine points or something like that for the game but I think they put him on Harington or whoever was in the first half that was killing us and he locked it down you know so I think for him you know again in terms of matchups he may have to just forget about offense for this particular game and did what he did in the second half um Saturday and just follow I think it was Harington if I’m not or was it champagne one of them one of them and he TT his last game right you know you know he had a career game I don’t expect him to have that kind of career game against unless he just to match up against Mi but um I don’t expect him to have that kind of career game again it looks like K I think I se KY F there warming up so you know play time may change or you know the amount of times that he has the basketball in his hands may change you know what I’m saying um I don’t know but um I don’t know I’m expecting a different game tonight we got about 19 20 minutes before tip off um we have I didn’t check the rep do we have anybody sitting out tonight I know Brunson was um a time decision I don’t know if that decision has been made yeah yeah um I think uh I don’t know would you is a game time decision I don’t know is this tonight when you s him or would you or do you think it could be a tough game so we better point I the bank they don’t make a lot of money how these guys I think I don’t know see what happens on lab wire might might be something that do um I I just don’t know you have enough money to trade unless really asking for D he you know around that size know he can do some things but he’s a rookie he’s got a lot to learn uh you know we’re gonna see what sham as he gets comfortable what he can do how do you feel about sham please I like sh and I think this is where I’m going to get in trouble I don’t think we have enough to get what we want to at the level that we wanted and I think the only way we could do that is if we willing to put mbde and mix together to get a guy like that and I love M I’m not he he’s playing well for us I love what he going offensively and defensively but he’s the only one on this team that has value outside of our starting lineup campaign doesn’t have that value shamit doesn’t have that value so if you got p and shamet at one and two and you got this Wing we talking about coming off playing three with prce at the four I think we’re gonna I’m not sure how much we’re going to be able to get from Nick alone don’t kill me Nick fam I like I’m just thinking about value right yeah I feel you I feel you I I would hate I would hate to get what it is say I do I understand you and I think the off is not GNA be obviously bridg probably of those guys will probably even on the table anybody else I think is on the table say evenes is on the table even on the table May on table I don’t know they feel like you know they getting something maybe so hard to say so now also you can just say you know what I’m not going to do this year and we’re going to see where the team land and maybe see what we can do in creation with a little bit of money you know what I’m saying um you know maybe that’s something that maybe that’s a route that the can go know maybe you see what happens you know after the St deadline maybe there’s some people on the waiver watch that can pick up so that come in to produce but maybe just wait to see uh wait to see what happens at the end of this so so maybe that’s the best way to do it I think at that time will be on an
