hey there everybody welcome to another NHL trade talk recap report my name is Jim Parson here with NHL Trad talk.com it is Monday morning it is November 25th today and sportset Insider NHL Insider Elliott Freeman has dropped a bit of a bomb on Monday I guess this afternoon for some people especially in New York where Chris krider and Jacob trouba are apparently on the trade block Freeman is reporting that the New York Rangers are not happy with the way that their season has started and they are letting it be known that they are ready for a roster shakeup now some of this might have to do with the fact that eigor shurkin is probably imminently going to sign a contract extension for a massive amount of money so there’s some salary cap implications going on here but uh the Rangers are looking to make some changes now Jacob trouba’s name is not a new one he was in the rumor mill this offseason it sounded like the Rangers were trying to trade him and potentially to the Detroit Red Wings but he traded he uses no trade clause to kind of squash that one his wife is in the medical field in New York and did not want to leave without her so he chose to stay in New York now this could be revisiting those trade talks could be revisiting or looking at other trade options for truma but this probably is going to be a bit of a fight even though truma does inevitably know that his time in New York is probably coming to an end Chris kryder’s one is interesting because this is a very good player this is a solid player he can drive you a little crazy every once in a while with his inconsistency but he’s coming off a 75 five-point season he’s got nine goals already this season no assists but uh he is a greasy kind of player that likes to score greasy kind of goals so he could be very valuable and I think he’s like a $6.5 million cap hit for the next number of years so he’s locked into a reasonable contract for that kind of production it’s a virtual guarantee that somebody’s going to be interested in Chris krider at that number maybe the Boston Bruins maybe somebody like the Los Angeles Kings it’s hard to say uh but krider is potentially on the move here out of uh New York now he also has a team no trade list so uh there going to be some leverage and some sway in negotiation here if they are able to make this move but uh big news coming out in New York today on Monday that the Rangers are looking to shake things up Chris krider and Jacob trouba both are being shopped by the Rangers and they’re letting it know be known that they don’t like the way things are going and they’re looking to make a move we’ll have more as the story develops on NHL Trad talk.com have a good one everybody
