the news just keeps getting worse for Nebraska it was just announced that Jamari Butler standout defensive lineman has entered the transfer portals in today’s video I’m going to give you my instant reaction and why this is bad news for every Nebraska fan so really quick make sure to hit that like button if you enjoy breaking news coverage and really quick we’re on the road to 8,000 subscribers I post Nebraska football content every single day so if you’re a dire Husker fan make sure to subscribe you will be thanking yourself that you did but without further ado let’s get into it going over another transfer portal move it’s been a busy day for the Huskers and this might just be the worst news yet Jamari Butler standout defensive Edge for the Huskers has entered the transfer portals just announced about two minutes ago um really big shock really big shock that’s the first thing that comes to my mind Jamari Butler announced about three weeks ago that he was returning for his last and final season he told Matt Ru from all accounts he seemed like he loved Lincoln that he felt like this was a second home to him um but again the news today was shocking that Tony White’s gone that Terence knon might be on the way out too and I bet he you know was shocked by it as well he grew very fond of Tony white he grew very fond of teren knon he said that you know those two guys are great coaches and for that reason Jamari Butler has entered the transfer portal to me this seems rash and I tweeted out earlier if I was any of these Nebraska players I get it that you’re considering to leave wait until Nebraska makes their defensive coordinator higher wait and then and then you can make the move the opens up next Monday okay you got a lot of time to me this move by Jamari Butler seems very very rash this guy was going to start next year for the Huskers this guy was going to be a game changer for the Huskers and yet it is official that he will be leaving this guy had 5.5 sacks last year uh this or last year he had 5.5 sacks this year he had two sacks in kind of an underwhelming season but he had a lot of injuries and again this was a guy who is considered to take a massive jump for the Huskers in 2025 is expected to be a very high draft pick he’s an athletic freak really good pass rusher 6’5 about 270 lbs and for whatever reason decides to hey I’m going to go into the portal again I’m just incredibly incredibly frustrated about this because this is one of those losses that really hurts I was cool with gab bvin leing that was expected I was cool with Vince and Jackson leaving that was expected I’m not cool with Jamari Butler leaving this is frustrating and you know what’s even more frustrating he might not be the last there’s going to be good players who leave because of this news and if I’m Matt r you have a very tough situation on your hands not only do you have to make the best defensive coordinator hire that money can buy best defensive line coach that money could buy but you also have to keep this roster together and you also have to make sure that nobody decommits in the 2025 class it’s a very very tough task and we’re seeing a crumble in front of our very own eyes against Jamari Butler in the transfer portal a guy who had a lot of potential and he likely will not be the last we have our hands full right here so I I’m pretty pretty mad about this move usually you know when there’s a guy who transfers I’ll be honest with you and I’ll tell you whether or not I think this is a loss or not like Stefon Thompson was not a loss again Gabe Irving was not a loss V Jackson was not a loss this is a loss this would have arguably been Nebraska’s best returning defensive player going into next year okay this is a guy who has NFL aspirations he has first round aspirations I truly believe because he has athletic fre nature to him okay in his best days of football are ahead of him and again he enters the trans portal this is there’s no other way to shot this Nebraska really lost a good one here I will say this about Jamari Butler okay he entered the transfer portal once before I think that was going into going into 2022 when Matt Ru is hired he entered the transfer portal Matt rule brought him out and convinced him to stay Jamari Butler enters the portal for a second time please I don’t I’m not betting on this happening but please met rule talk to him see if you can keep this guy and Lincoln again that I’m just saying he’s done it before he stayed before we’ll see if that can happen here but I doubt it uh and again Jamari Butler won’t be the last this is a really rough day guys rough day to be a Nebraska fan this one hurts let me know down below your thoughts Jamari Butler enters the portal more to come let me know in the comments section hey if you made this far on the video shout out to you make sure to hit that like button and subscribe as always folks go be red go roll and see in the next one
