Nebraska makes a massive portal move by scheduling a visit with one of the best transfer linebackers so today’s video I’m going to go over who this guy is what he brings to the table what his interest is in Nebraska and will the Huskers land him so really quick we have a massive transfer portal update for you guys today make sure to hit that like button and really quick we are getting so close to 8,000 subscribers I post Nebraska football content and breaking news every every single day so listen if you’re a diet Husker fan and you want the latest on your favorite team make sure to subscribe you will be thanking yourself that you did but without further Ado let’s get into it going over this transfer he goes by the name of Phoenix Jackson from Fresno State plays that linebacker spot and he is one of the best transfer linebackers in America last year for the Bulldogs had 50 tackles four sacks one force fumble two receptions and get this according to Pro Football Focus he had the third best coverage grade out of any linebacker in America so it’s safe to say this guy can defend against the pass he’s an athletic freak and it was just announced earlier today that he will be visiting Nebraska on Wednesday of next week so again very huge development here with Phoenix Jackson a guy who just entered the portal one of first in the state’s best players now he’s been there for the last four years he only has one year of Eligibility remaining but he’s 6ft T and 220 lbs super fast super Twitchy he can play all over the defense I mean the production speaks for itself the guy the fact that he has 50 tackles again two interceptions are one of the best coverage grades out of any linebacker in college football that is massive so it should be noted that while he is visiting Nebraska next week on Wednesday he’s already scheduled visits to Georgia Tech Auburn and a couple other schools probably in the mix as well well so you know Nebraska obviously they aren’t the favorite here but they are in the process to land him and and if you’re in Nebraska you just got to start throwing money see if see if he wants to come to Nebraska if he wants to be an instant impact player instant starter um we need linebackers that’s one of the biggest position needs for the Huskers we’ve lost six linebackers over the past couple weeks due to the transfer portal or graduation we’re going to have basically no returning linebackers going into next year besides Vincent Shavers and Willis mcah so you need a guy like Fenix Jackson a guy who is an NFL type of player who has high upside who is good in pass coverage and you know more importantly you need a guy like Fenix Jackson because he has upside he’s an athletic freak you know some linebackers are fine and we’ve seen Nebraska have linebackers in the past who just solid tacklers solid Big 10 guys that’s okay but I know Nebraska fans agree with me on this one we want athletic freaks we want guys that are Terrell Farley esks Levante David 2.0’s type of guys that’s what get here with Phoenix Jackson I mean really good speed uh really good athleticism and a guy who I could honestly see playing on Sunday so again he will be visiting Nebraska next week already some schools in the mix there I imagine he’s going to be visiting a couple others so this is definitely not a done deal but it’s a good development and Nebraska is starting to get active here in the portal Dana hogerson said the other day that we’re expecting to take about 15 guys seven on defense seven on offense maybe a specialist here or there but expect about 20 25 guys to come on a visit so you know last year Nebraska only took about five or six it’s not going to be the case this year we’re going to double that number we’re going to take a lot of transfers that’s a good thing but we’re going to get high quality players players like him who have you know high sealings but also have proved that they can uh be productive we’re not going to take guys who are really risks we’re not going to take gambles Phoenix Jackson is not a gamble he is a proven uh player and looks like Nebraska is in the the process to get him so all right guys let me know their thoughts down below around Fenix Jackson visiting Nebraska let me know in the comment section hey if you made this for on the video make sure to hit that like button and subscribe it’s always folks go be gr go met roll and see in the next one
