Hello everyone and welcome to another End to End Hockey video in the offseason, in this video we are talking about some more news and rumours as we start off by looking at 2 signings as after a slew of injuries the Leafs signed Alex Nylander from the AHL to a 1 year deal to spend the rest of the year to play in their bottom six and Howden wound up signing a 5 year extension with the Knights at a $2.5 Million dollar AAV to stay in Vegas for the next while, then we look at some injury updates from the past little while as Paul in Tampa Bay, Kreider in NYR, Pietrangelo in Vegas and Kaprizov in Minnesota all suffered injuries but should hopefully be back soon while Boeser, McTavish, Heinola and Jarvis have all returned and got back into game action, then we look at some waiver updates as Gettinger in Detroit and Puustinen in Pittsburgh both be placed on waivers and cleared and were sent back to the AHL for their respective teams, then we look at the Blues as seeing a great opportunity have hired head coach Jim Montgomery to be the new bench boss while they have fired Drew Bannister after a short stint as the teams head coach, and then we also talk about some trade rumours as first I look at Montreal and Pittsburgh as Darren Dreger said that the Penguins have been scouting Habs Games and that they may be able to hook up on a deal that could offload one of the Habs bad contracts, then we look at Carolina as with recent injuries to goalies Andersen and Kochetkov, could the Canes be in the market for a stopgap upgrade in net and could Vladar or Kahkonen in Net be options for them, then we look at the Senators as recent reports say the Senβs have been looking for a top 4 defender for some time now and they might pick up the pace with the Zub injury, and Frank Seravalli mentioned hearing Norris name out there as a potential trade chip for Ottawa if they were to shake up the core, then we look at the Blue Jackets as Elliotte Friedman said that the 3 teams that make the most sense for Jiricek would be Nashville, Philly and Minnesota and Seravalli said a trade is imminent and could happen soon with 6-8 legit offers being given to CBJ and lastly we look at NYR as Friedman recently put out some info mentioning that the Rangers after a bad few games are willing to have a roster shakeup and have surprisingly made Captain Trouba and Kreider available and I would love to hear your thoughts on all that was discussed in todayβs video down in the comments section below.

rumors involving the jackets Rangers hurricanes senators and Habs and go to all that coming up right [Music] now hello everyone welcome back to another video here at the ant hockey channel now before we get don’t forget to like this video And subscribe down below thank you all your support when to you guys if you haven’t already don’t for to subscribe button down below don’t leave a comment down the comment section below so discuss this video so today’s video nothing news to discuss today we’re going to start off by looking at some signs that happened for over past couple of days back late last week I think it was back on like Thursday or Friday we saw a couple of signings only two but there were some pretty significant ones first the turn on M police has signed Alex neander William neer’s Brother to a one-year deal with a $5,000 that’ll be for the rest of this current season that’s a pretty good pickup there for the leafes neander has been a serviceable bomb 64 over the last couple of years started this year on an AHL only contract with the Toronto Marley’s piing up eight goals and 12 points in 14 games with the recent slew of injuries to the least forward group they need another body up front so they called up Alex neander and signed him to a new one-year deal so it’s not going to be for rest of this year but the neander brothers are now playing on the same team Forin the first time in the NHL so really good stuff there for neander to play with his brother he’s gone so far in a one game of anal action put no points but I think it could be a really solid pickup there for that on Maple team so we’re going to have to wait and see on that but that’s a pretty good pick up there for the least to get neander on a one-year deal and hopefully neander Brothers playing together will be a really good sight to see so interesting note there but Alex neers joining his brother William in Toronto on a one-year deal so pretty good pick up there for the Leafs and then the other signing was a bigger Longer term more massive extension that was with the bigas gold Knights another Knights extension and Brett Howen we night recently signed McNab they’ve signed Theodore in season uh they’ve signed a couple of other guys to extensions well now they’ve signed Brett Howen Howden who’s in the fin year of a 2-year deal with a AV of $1.9 million signs a 5year extension with a AV of $2.5 million to going serve next year so it’s only a $600,000 pay bump from his current contract but it’s a pretty good pay bump Howen has been phenomenal in Vegas he didn’t really have the best of times in New York but ever since being acquired from Vegas he’s been great he put up nine goals and 20 points in his first year in Vegas had six goals and 13 points in 54 games the year after last year was almost had a career high with eight goals and 19 points in 72 games so for this year he already at nine points and eight goals in 22 games he’s already one shy of his career high in goal scoring and he’s only a court of the way through the season so H has been a phenomenal third second line forward there for the nights he’s been a phenomenal addition so $25 million for the way he’s producing right now is not overly bad I think closer to 2 million would have been more acceptable in my opinion but still 5 years for a serviceable bottom six M 6 for is pretty good and I think Howen should be a really good piece there for the gold Knights on this deal so interesting note there but the knights have extended Howen and the Le sign neand to a one-year deal so some interesting pieces there from the TR police and Vegas golden n but those are only signs we have from over past couple of days next going over to a couple of injury updates first with Philadelphia cam York was activated off of injury reserve and got back into game action on Saturday after missing 13 games with upper body injury so good news there for Philly as he got top four defenseman back K capriso missed Saturday’s game with a lower body injury doesn’t seem is going to be an overly long extended period of time for his injury but babo that see Minnesota lose capriso for the last couple of games well marun and adav Miss’s game with a lower body injury so a b there for the wild adav was out with an injury lauron bral is still dealing with problems from his right knee injury he suffered in the off season so still doesn’t seem like he has any time table for a return so babo there for the Hawks to still have their backup go tender out with an injury NS LF started skating in the mornings by himself but is still out with a lower body injury so so he’s still working on getting back but still a bad BL there for the stars as their third pair defenseman’s out for the pittsbur Penguins Kevin Hayes is actually off inur reserve and got back in the game action after recovering from his injuries so good news there as Pittsburgh gets their solid third line Center back off of injury reserve for Vegas they got couple of injury updates Alex P Angelo’s day day with undisclosed injury missed the night’s last couple of games Zack White Cloud’s day day with upper body injury William Carlson missed the most recent game for the golden a due to personal reasons well n was activ off of injury reserve and got back in the game action on Saturday after missing 3 weeks with an injury so some good news there on the injury front to see hag back and Carlson should be out to Long du the personal reasons but B used to see pitcher Angelo and white cloud out for the golden eight so Bow’s there to their blue line for Toronto Austin Matthews has gone back from Germany and is skating and starting to recover from his upper body injury and could return as early as Wednesday so that’s a really good blow there for the lease as Matthews could be returning a in future T Thompson missed his fifth straight game on Saturday with a lower body injury but could turn for Wednesday so uh bright spot there for the saers even though they missed him on Saturday he could be back in not in future for the New York Rangers Zach Jones in the blue line and Chris Cryder in their top six are both day day with upper body injuries so bab there for the Rangers as they’re going to miss a solid top six forward and de third defens for the next little while Michael mccar Miss s’s game with upperbody injury for the national PR has foreseeable future so bow there for the Predators to lose us all bomb six forward for the Jets Dylan Samberg left Saturday’s game with a broken foot and was placed on injury reserve so B there as the Jets loses solid third pair of defenseman but they got third pair defenseman back as H was activated off injury reserve called from his conditioning stint May season debut on Tuesday after recovering from ankle surgery so good to see Hana back for the wooden Peg jets for the Carolina hurricane Seth Jarvis was AC off of injury reserve going to return to game action on Monday after missing about a week with his injury so good to see Jarvis back he’s a big part of the kan’s top six so really good to see him back while kov is out indefinitely as he was in concussion protocol so sounds like he’s recovering well from his injury but he’s going to be a for at least probably a couple of weeks I would think so it’s a bow there for the Carolina Hurricanes arum Zu was placed in injury reserve and it’s going to be out for a while with a fractured foot so it’s a bad blow there for the Senators as they lose arum Zu well David pah is on dayto day with the upper body injuries so some bad blows there the send L A Sol midle Sixx forward and a top four defenseman two injuries Brock mcon placed an injury reserve with an injury so hopefully he shouldn’t be on injury reserve for an over long period of time but that’s a bad blow there for the Ducks well Mas mcow was activate off injury reserve and return to game action after missing six games with upper body injury so good to see mow get back that’s a big boost to their top six but still bad to see mcin go out Nick Paul’s going to be out for at least next week with unclosed injury for the bolts so Babble there for Tampa losing a midle six forward niik stern was activ off of injury reserve and return to game action after missing a week with upper body injures so good news there this jks get Sol fourth line Center back for the Oilers hman who was dealing with undisclosed injury won’t be back this week so won’t arson who was also dealing with an injury so hman and arson are going to be out for the next couple of games for the Oilers as arson recovers from his injury and hman from his so bad stuff there Brock besser returned to game action from his upper body injury on Tuesday after missing a couple of games with the upper body injures so good use there to see Vancouver get Brock besser back and Jonathan dran his day with a body injury after just recently coming off injury reserve that’s a horrible blow for drwan and the Avalanche so bad news there but those are all the injur updates from the past couple of days so good to see see guys like besser McTavish hola and Jarvis all go back from injuries and good to see all those guys uh get back in the game action but bad news to see guys like Paul krider petrangelo and capriso I’ll be out with injuries and hopefully those guys aren going to be for an over long period of time those are injury from our past couple of days next going over to a quick waiver update from over past few days we had two waiver updates from our past a little while not too much waiver movement over the past couple of days uh first on Sunday we saw Tim gettinger replay some wavers by the Detroit Redwing he was on season opening injury reserve he’s an AHL player so I wasn’t overly surprised I didn’t think he was going to get claimed and he didn’t he was cleared so rings have another body in the AHL but not too surprised there again jir was cleared and then on Tuesday we saw valter painl by pittsbur Penguins not too surprised we saw Kevin Hayes like we just said’ be back from injuries so they needed to move someone down to make some space for him pan was that guy they should be getting some more healthy bodies back Pan’s actually had a pretty good year last year hasn’t had the best of starts this year so thought it could have been a team or two out there who needed some bomb sticks help who could have taken a chance on a younger guy like painin but early on Wednesday he did wind up clearing so not too surprised there given the fact that he’s more of an AHL or a bomb end player at the NHL level but I thought there could have been a chance that team or two out there could have taken a chance on a bomb six for like him so we’re going to have to wait to see on that but the only two way at Le for the past couple days is genjer and Detroit and panan and Pittsburgh were placed on waivers and both wind up clearing interest to note there going over to a quick coaching update this one came from out of left field but after After Jimmy Montgomery firing uh there was a team out there who thought that the opportunity presented itself to hire Montgomery so after Saturday’s game against New York Islanders the St Louis Blues promptly made a coaching change firing Drew banister and hiring Jim Montgomery to be their new head coach so Montgomery was only on the market for like 5 days before the blues signed him I think they sign to like a 5year contract so pretty good move there for the blues Montgomery like we said had a fantastic record with Boston just a couple of videos ago Montgomery I think had like 12 21 42 and 19 record or something like that he led the Bruins to the best record in the regular season ever so he’s a really good coach he also has previous coaching experience I think he had coached Dallas earlier and maybe even New Jersey before then so he has a lot of head coaching experience so he could be a really good fit there for St Louis well it’s quite surprising to see banister let go he was the interim head coach last year after they fired cck baru and then they removed the interim take and made him the full-time head coach last off season so to see him already be fired after only a half a season and then the first a little bit of this season is quite surprising but the blue saw someone they could definitely see a future with and they went after him so good Montgomery in St Louis but quite surprising to see banister let go in St Louis I we have to wait and see what’s next for banister that’s a pretty good hire there for the blues to get montg so those are all the movements from over the past couple of days and lastly going over to a couple of trade rumors now when it comes to trade rumors there are a ton of things to talk about when it comes to trade RS going to start with the lower end one of the trade rumors that are talking about today and that’s with the Montreal Canadians and Pittsburgh Penguins Darren Dreer recently reported that Pittsburgh Penguin Scouts have been closely monitoring the Canadians games in recent weeks and there could be some sort of potential hookup between those two deals now we’ve talked about this before the canines our team was looking to try and move off some of their bigger term contracts like we’ve looked at Dvorak armia Evans isn’t a big term contract but he’s a pending UFA so those sort of bad deals aren’t working out overly well for Montreal while with Pittsburgh making some moves recently there’s a potentiality that there in the not toist in future they could have some major space to potentially try and acquire some bad contracts so can Mt and Pittsburgh hook up on S could send like dor and armia to Pittsburgh and maybe with like a draft pick or a l and Prospect that’s a possibility could definitely help Montreal get out of their tight cap situation so we’re going to have to wait and see on that but it sounds like Pittsburgh’s recently been scouting Montreal games and we know Montreal is trying to get out of some bad contracts and Pittsburgh being a lower and team might be willing to take on some shorter term bad contract so we’re going to have to wait and see what happens with the Habs and the Penguins but they’re scouting apparently each other and there’s a potentiality there for the two teams took up on a deal so I wa and see on that when it comes to Carolina Hurricanes Kevin weeks recently put out a tweet we know he has a lot of really good information and he says that with Anderson currently probably going to be over for the next two to three months and kov recently getting injured the Carolina Hurricanes are scouring the goalie Market they’re trying to look for a goalie upgrade they currently have Spencer Martin as their starter and yanf pet as their their backup which is an overly great tandem so with how good of a start the Carolina Hurricanes have had to this season I would think they would definitely want some sort of a stop Gap upgrade I don’t think they would want someone who would be the new starter or anything unless they concerning moving frerick Anderson but I do think there’s a possibility they could try and maybe make some sort of a move to try and get like maybe a short-term upgrade like K comes to mind and Winnipeg there’s probably a couple of other guys out there too who would make some sense for Carolina in that I’d love to hear guys thoughts and if you have any sort of names that you think would be really good for Carolina Nets that maybe wouldn’t be a new starter for Carolina so we’ll have to wait and see on that but Kevin weeks definitely recently tweeted out saying that with the Hurricane’s goalie injuries to aov and Anderson expect them to be in the goalie market and potentially make a goalie move in a in future so keep your eye on the Hurricanes that they could make some sort of a goalie move and lastly going over to three big things that I’ve been talking about over the past a while first I’m going to talk about one of my favorite teams and that is the Ottawa Senators there’s been a lot of recent trade chatter when comes to ywa Sanders first Bruce Gage was recently talking about it and says that the Sanders have been looking for a top four defenseman this season after the recent injury like we just said to arm Zub where he could be out for a longer period of time he says that the Senators might try and increase their search for a defenseman not exactly sure who they try and Target could they target a p guy like a gabov could they target a guy like Savar from unreal could they target am Marcus Pon from Pittsburgh someone who doesn’t have too much chm and isn’t have an overly agree just cap it or could they go for someone with maybe some term on the contract like maybe Raz Anderson from Calgary or Mario Ferraro from s I’m not exactly sure who they’ll try and Target there’s definitely some potential out there some people think that senders are really trying hard to Target a top for defenseman and especially with the zuo injury they’ll try and Target even harder now and then Frank sali’s recent I think podcast was talking with Ottawa and said that he’s heard Josh Norris as a name that’s come up recently as a potential trade chip for the centers to try and shake up their core now has been a fantastic second line center for the team he does have a lot of injury history so that has halted his trajectory for a little bit but he’s I think a former 30 goal scorer he’s been a fantastic piece for that all cers team now they’re not going to move stel they’re not going to move kachak they’re not going to move Greg they’re not going to move any of those guys so if there was one core piece and one core part of that team that was to be traded it does seem like Norris is more of a likely option also given the fact that they have Pinto who could definitely take over like a second line Center if they were to trade Norris so we’re going to have to wait and see on that it does make some sense it also does make some sense in some aspects because it do think that they really do like Norris and he’s a solid second line Center so all in all I think they could try and move a guy like Josh Norris I think it’s possible especially if the option presented itself to move north to get a top 4D upgrade I think they would definitely consider that I think they have to be careful before potentially moving on for Norris cuz like I said he’s a solid second line Center who could be a really good piece if he starts to stay healthy so we’re going to wait on that but according to Bruce Gage the sends are in the midst of looking for a top for defenseman and are looking for some help on the blue line especially with the Zub injury while Frank valy mentions Josh Norris as a name who could potentially be moved to shake up that core and could potentially get them a blue line upgrade so we’re going have see on that going over to the Columbus Blue Jackets it sounds like some things have been working on David Ur and a trade could be coming in the not in future now recently we’ve been hearing about David yur as a potential name ever since he’s been sent down to the AHL so earlier on the to thoughts podcast La was talking about e and said that there are a couple of teams he’s watching when it comes to e as a potential trade candidates and those were the felia Flyers national predators Minnesota Wild he did mention the Oilers too but he just doesn’t think that the Oilers have the pieces the jackets are looking for in order to make that sort of a deal so sounds like the Oilers probably wouldn’t try and make that sort of a deal but does sound like Philly Minnesota and natural could be Front Runners I know that jackets are looking for a younger player in return potentially maybe something else as well so they’re looking for a pretty decent return so Philly can move a guy like Morgan Frost they can move y farby they have a couple decent younger players in the prospect pull they can move and I think y could be a solid top four right sh defenseman for that team alongside guys like sanheim and York so that could be a really good pick up there for the Flyers if they were able to get their hands on NE nashal’s another one we know nashal’s looking to try and get younger they recently just lost Fabro to the jackets so it would be quite funny to see jackets move e to Nashville not exactly sure what the Predators could try and offer there’s probably a couple of young pieces they could try and offer would they be willing to offer a guy like Evangelista will they be willing to offer one of their younger prospects who haven’t made the NHL yet like I’m not exactly sure who they be willing to move but it does make some sense to try and acquire EUR Che especially after just losing Fabro when it comes to the Minnesota Wild y could probably be a third PA of Def fens on that team behind guys like Faber and Spurgeon but I could also see why they would have some interest to be a solid defensive third pairm minded defenseman they also have a lot of really good talent on their Prospect pool they have a couple of really good D prospects a couple of really good forward prospects so it might make some sense for the jackets to make that sort of a move too so we’re going to have to wait and see on that but also after that Frank Z Val recently I think did a radio hit or may have been on his podcast too and said that the trade may be imminent and that some things have recently picked up over the weekend and in the early couple of days of this week that have led some people to think that a trade could happen in the not in future he says that jackets have received 6 to eight legitimate offers on e and while they’re still scouring to see what other options they could do with EUR does sound like a trade could happen in the naist in future so we’re have to see on that Ellie Freeman mentions Nashville Philly and Minnesota as potential Landing spots for David Ur that could work out for the jackets too and on top of that Frank valy saying that trade could be imminent with the jackets receiving six to eight solid trade offers for your trck so to wait to see on that and lastly when it comes to the New York Rangers Ellie Freeman put out a surprising statement at least to me in my opinion say saying that the Rangers after a bad loss 6 to2 on the weekend to the emont Oilers that the Rangers are ready for a shakeup and have made Jacob trouba and Chris crrider available now that stunning in my opinion the Rangers while they have not had the best of weeks like I said in my power rankings video they went 130 they did not have an overly fantastic week this past week but they’re still like I think five or six games above 500 they’re still a top four team in the Metro division they’re still in competition with Washington Carolina jersey for top three Spa in the Metro sure they had a bad week but why would they want to shake things up they are a fantastic team they made it to the Eastern Conference Final last year two games away from the Cup Final and just I’m surprised that they’d be willing to go to make that sort of announcement that they’d be willing to shake things up and on top of that make krider and trouba available now trouba was mentioned as a trade ship in the off season there was a lot speculation but him potentially be moved to a team like Detroit so I do Wonder but if that sort of maybe reignites especially with the is not having the greatest of blue lines trouba has a 15 team no trade list so he can block it trade to some teams so it would be interesting to see how exactly that sort of a deal will turn out like I said trouba is their Captain but like I said he was in Trad rooms in the off season he’s got this year plus next year $8 million capit and they have Schneider and Fox on that right side as solid top for right shot defenseman so it wouldn’t be overly surprising in my opinion if they were to consider moving trouba especially given how much of a liability trouba’s been over the past couple of years so I wouldn’t be overly surprised but offloading that a million dollar capit for this year next year would be really hard so party wonders if they’ be willing to eat some cap on that so we’re going to have to wait and see on that but when it comes to Chris crer I mean he’s a really good goal scorer he’s a former 50 goal scorer he’s always seems to be around the net he always knows how to put in the puck so to trade him away they would have to have some sort of a major return if they were to move Chris car he’s a solid top six forward he plays on that Top Line with mik Saad like if they were to move crder they would have to get one heck of a good return is that six million capit for this year plus two more seasons so it makes sense as to why there would be a ton of teams interested teams who come to mind who could really use the services of Chris Cryder would be a team like Buffalo we know they’ve been looking for a top six upgrade this could be the sort of upgrade that they could really use we know that the Jets have had a really good start to the year they could probably use a forward upgrade we know Vegas had a lot of Departures in the offseason they could probably use the top six forward Carolina’s had law of offseason departures as well they could probably use top six for it so there’s probably a ton of teams out there who could use some top six for help but those are four teams who come to mind as potential options there for the Rangers to move credder to so we’re going to have to wait and see on that there’s a lot of interesting options there but the Rangers are open to moving Crow and trouba are open to some sort of a roster shake up and after a bad loss to Emington it seems like they’ve sort of lost some of their confidence in that team so we’re going to have to wait and see on that but that ju Just to me that’s stunning to see that the Rangers will be open to moving those two guys just being six games above 500 still so it’s surprising to me I’d love to hear guys thoughts and if it’s surprising to you down in the comment section below i’ also love to hear guys thoughts on all of this what do you think about the Rangers do they move crder do the move tra is that the right move for the Rangers what do you think about all that do the jackets move e Che and if so what sort of a return could they get and could Minnesota Philadelphia natur will be landing spots you think the Carolina Hurricanes will acquire a golender and if so could it be a bigger name or as a more of a smaller name shortterm stop Gap upgrade for the Carolina Hurricanes let you guys thoughts on that do you think the cers move Norris and could they try and add a top for the fenceman left to get thoughts on that plus you think the Habs and the Penguins could hook up on a deal that one of the Habs bad contracts to Pittsburgh definitely to thoughts on all that plus the blues coaching change waiver update in updates and the signings from the past couple days definely your thoughts
