hello everybody and welcome to the United stands I’m M goldbridge and this is your match reaction to Manchester United’s 2 N loss to Arsenal where there can be no excuses there is frustration we’ll get into that there are a few good performances we’ll get into that I don’t think amarim can really be blamed it’s too early even though obviously some things he tried didn’t work but at the end of the day he’s trying to wash a car with a dirty cloth at the end of the day you’re never going to get all of the dirt off and I think that when you look at that game from amar’s point of view first half very very good second half the stats will bear it out I haven’t checked them but artetta figured it out artetta figured it out at halftime and um man united were not as good at keeping the ball in the second half as they were Arsenal got into our Penalty Box a lot more we defended well but ultimately we’ve lost to two set pieces and every corner was a battle for us they they they nearly scored four goals from a corner and that to me is incredible when you think about the fact that Gabrielle their best player from a corner didn’t play and also Arsenal have been doing this for nearly a year there can’t be any excuses and yeah look people are going to talk about rashford conceding that corner it’s frustrating um because if we don’t concede the second goal and we keep it one- nil we might get another chance like delit and we might get an equalizer but in reality I actually am going to shock some people and say I actually see a positive at today it reminds me of Ip switch again um the grass is not green like we we are not bouncing back we are not back I said it after Everton amind ball rashford’s back xerx is a superstar I said this is the same mistake from the same people that will be moaning their ass off tonight and consistency is key after beating Everton for I said that is not aming ball and those players are not back because we’ve fallen for that before and after losing to Arsenal 2-0 tonight I’m not going to overreact and say oh we’re this that and the other consistency and calm is the most important thing and I would say at one nil down yeah look Arsenal are the masters of the dark arts when it comes to Corners there’s no excuse around that Rasmus can’t get the header because he gets a push in the back from Timber but they’ve been doing it for ages and and it’s not a foul it’s not a foul because they do it every week and referees don’t give it so it’s not a foul um that we go one nil down and I’m thinking this is perfect now does amim gets to be in a position where we’ve played well for 45 minutes we’ve conceded how do they deal with that and we didn’t deal with it very well at all we didn’t deal with it very well at all the positives for me before we get into the player ratings I thought delit has to be a contender for man of the match the Press don’t want to talk about it even though he’s been brilliant for his this season really consistent I thought Yo’s Cameo was very promising as well mazra was good again I thought Maguire did well agarte did well and then there’s a few other players we need to talk about Amo ahmad’s Cameo was good as well but I think the big big learning curve for uh uh am has to be that you can’t man united haven’t got two teams this is the big thing I want to say United haven’t got two teams um we haven’t even got one team you can’t can’t pick a team for Everton and then pick a team for Arsenal and then pick a team for Forest you’ve got to use more players Arsenal have played three games in a week and they’ve used mainly the same players we can’t and haven’t got enough players of quality to rotate so what he needs to realize now is he’s got to figure out his best 11 uh and he’s got to start going with that because I think in the second half when Mount and gacho came off xery and rashford there was a drop off even though it was fresh legs there was a drop off they don’t work as a pair you’ve got to have a mount a Bruno or an ammad next to a rashford a gono and a xery you can’t play two of them together because there’s nobody who’s technically good enough to press and play the simple pass um xerx is quite technical but he’s also a bit loose like sometimes his flick doesn’t work the discipline’s not there so I think that I think the subs didn’t work um apart from ammad and and really get the ball to Amad wasn’t it um so that didn’t work um and I think as I said I think in the first half just to focus on the positive I mean I think we came out of that game with about 50% possession so I’m not going to snooze on that I’m not going to snooze on that 50% possession at the Emirates is good it is good and that was built upon a point where we had over 60% possession the way we passed in the first half was so good and I think it will go over some people’s heads It Ain’t Easy to come to Arsenal and frustrate them on possession you can frustrate them on a deep line you can frustrate them on you know letting them have the ball and give them I I’ve seen teams go to the Emirates and Arsenal have had 80% possession but it’s nil nil at halim because they can’t break them down we didn’t do that we didn’t go to the we didn’t create anything I admit but we didn’t go to the Emirates and frustrate Arsenal because we part the bus and let them have the ball we had the ball we were very good on the ball um ieta figured it out halftime like I said but the first half gave us a platform and some people were moaning about gacho some people were moaning about Mount some people were moaning about Rasmus I I actually think that they did a really good job you’re not going to hold it up every time against Arsenal Defenders but they did hold it up a lot they held it up they played it to each other and then it would go back into Bruno and we rotate the ball and possession frustrated Arsenal in the second half I think Arsenal changed it and then we had to make subs and to be honest with you you know who went off at half time massia did that make us change the way we did things a little bit but look the subs didn’t help we were Toothless in attack I agree Harvey but you know why we were Toothless in attack we didn’t really have the quality in the defensive areas to cause the problems and support the attack um and and that’s that’s what I’m saying like I think that whilst I’m disappointed because I don’t like losing to Arsenal or Liverpool or Man City I hate it why I’m dis whilst I’m disappointed in many ways it’s a good thing that’s his first loss you know IP switch was disappointing but it was a draw that’s his first loss and it’s happened in the first two weeks the reality is bitten very very quickly Ole went and won seven Premier League games in a row and all’s at the wheel and with amarim he’s drawn to IP switch he’s been beaten by Arsenal in his first two premier league away games he’s got one point from six this isn’t a bounce this isn’t a glow up this is a reality and I want this manager to see the reality and I want this manager to do something about it and I think he will do because what I don’t want to see is what he was saying before the game about Luke Shaw you know we’re here for Luke Shaw he’s an important player Luke Shaw hasn’t been fit for a year mate Luke Shaw is not your future now that might be a bit of PR but behind the scenes I don’t care what he says publicly because he’s already told as he’ll back his players but behind the scenes I hope he’s starting to see that some of the these players don’t cut it I mean look I I will mention it the mistake by rashford to give that corner up was unforgivable why you thinking about flicking it up and voling it away in a game of this magnitude is ridiculous if you want to boot it away you just turn and boot it and if it goes off odard for a corner or or a or a goal kick happy days but you don’t try and do that that was just stupid and and and That Was Naive think of what you like from that they scored from it what I did like more was in the last 10 minutes was when celba he sort of jogs towards CBA CBA plays a onew he turns around and cba’s 5 meters away going forward and I’m like mate you’re not you’ve not been on the pitch for 90 minutes you’ve been on the pitch for about 30 where’s your energy and we can’t have that we can’t have that jogging again the body you know all right maybe it’s bothered him that he knows he’s given the corner away but your motivation should be I’m going to put that right and he wasn’t the only one you know we could talk we’ll talk about Bruno um I thought Delo was disappointing again um I don’t think xery did much when he came on um but all in all I thought there was a lot of average performances and and that’s not Terri that’s not a bad thing I mean I don’t think Anana had a bad game I mean all right maybe he could have come for the second corner but he came for a lot of Corners he actually I mean we we realistically could have conceded four goals today from Corners it it was a joke um Dan says first half was mint second half was was hideous um if you can remember what amim said he’d noticed that we’d lose the ball to quick with silly passes oh the the the long you’re right Dan the long balls came back didn’t they the hero passes came back Bruno was doing it rashford was doing it and you’re like this is why I’m not that pissed off I predicted we would lose 3-1 so I’m not shocked that we lost when and what I didn’t predict was why we would lose 3-1 it’s easy to say you’ll lose 3-1 and you think about Arsenal at P at sporting and you go oh they’re going to batter us to lose 2-n like that actually frustrated me because the goals were preventable if we’d been switched on but you know what what makes me happy is that amarim is seeing what we’ve seen for years we we do okay we concede a goal and their chin hits the ground and that’s what happened the heads went down at one nil the mentality disappeared um they didn’t they were they gave up mentally they checked out not all of them but some of them did and amaron will see that and he’ll go okay right you played really well nil nil they score a goal and I visibly see some of you don’t believe you you stop being brave you stop being confident um the only the look look at look we nearly scored at one nil that’s a Wonder save by reyer it’s a great head of delit again isn’t it delit showing leadership again but apart from that I think that was our only shot on target absolute graveyard shift for Mount and gacho and Rasmus nothing absolutely nothing but um yeah yeah it’s disappointing uh and adinos says it absolute garbage by Bruno well we’ll talk about that in a minute massia stuck to sacka like Park to Perlo doow played offensive which let Saka get into the game which helped odard then we lost the Midfield battle says AJ uh cell Bruno and rashford okay then what what are you talking about says Caitlyn I think the club needs to cash in on Bruno he goes missing in big games and we need to find someone like BS well I will talk about Bruno because I’ve got a different angle on that but we’ll talk about that in a minute thought you lot weren’t too bad and am’s first half tactics were encouraging your 18yearold looks class has found some cash yes that’s a positive as well yo as I said rashford needs to leave says Quinn amam is not a miracle worker patience is needed we know what we need to work on and only look forward from now on says Sade uh pressing is simple as unit rashy is just too lazy says Reese Toothless in attack crap wi backs simple as that says Harvey when will we finally ditch the damn zonal defending it’s ridiculous it’s delicate official Delo hard attacking mazra should be playing there say Zade amarim is not a miracle worker patience is Robert Arsenal needed the points artetta told them at halim more corners we lost because of Corners stop slaying players more time says Constantine uh well it’s your opinion mate well done I disagree um I why were we giving up Corners why were we conceding from Corners I mean xery nearly headed it in his own goal like we’re Panic we were panicking we were ourselves every corner every corner we ourselves that’s why they nearly scored so if whose fault is that then Constantine so next time we play Arsenal in the cup we just turn up again and ourselves on Corners Bruno should have gone off and Mason stayed on says twitch we attached down our left hand side 50% despite ammad being on the right that was annoying says Scythe first half was composed and good possession but no threat second half disjointed and let Arsenal dictate more says Patrick Lynch um would you take 50 million pound for rashford and deow let’s others get a chance says Bernard B yeah each why don’t United just use Arsenal tactics for Corners says ree thank you very much uh first half when was the last time that Bruno played amazing versus a big team throwing hands up when things get tough I’ve been saying it for years we will never win major titles of Bruno agarte was Miles Ahead says Sai QB amim can’t do it in the Prem says Oliver Barnaby gacho awful again says Jonathan Chase I don’t think I I don’t I don’t see that at all I don’t I saw that in the I saw people saying that Jonathan we played well in the first half we had very good possession we worked really hard and we frustrated Arsenal and yet people think gacho had a bad game or Mount had a bad game or Rasmus had a bad game what they didn’t do was anything that they’re good at they had no opportunity to attack but what they did do was work really hard hold the ball up and and keep possession which was what they were asked to do so in your world of what you expected gacho to do he wasn’t instructed to do gacho Rasmus and mount actually did really well as a front three it went wrong in the second half when we took them off so I I wasn’t unhappy with gacho Mount and rasmas I thought they worked ridiculously hard with no service and no support and helped us retain regain and keep possession which is what we did well in the first half so I don’t really get the bad performances from them and I’m sure it’ll be reflected in the player ratings but I sometimes do wonder do people watch a game and understand what the model is because I don’t think for one minute they didn’t do what was asked of them in the first half and they did contribute to it as well uh amam needs time and patience says Ray Carl Brown look on Bruno I would also say on Bruno I’m going to do the player ratings but we can scoot over Bruno if I say this in the second half it was the same old Bruno it was chaos it was free roam it was trying to get us back in the game and the discipline disappeared and it’d be interesting whether Amar was happy with that in the first half it was the most disciplined performance I’ve seen from Bruno Fernandez in three years he stuck to his position he slowed the play down he played the simple pass he was magnetic and this is something six months ago we did a video on because we were all pissed off of Bruno giving the ball away possession was the key in the first half and he was part of that possession and it worked well in the second half he was undisciplined and he went back to doing what he was doing but he was doing it out of position and then it looked really bad because he wasn’t picking up the runners he wasn’t making tackles so Bruno’s second half it was like a jacel and hide in the first half we had the ball so it didn’t matter that he was out of position because he was part of dictating the play in the second half we gave up the ball and then he’s out of position and he looks really bad uh so it was a game of two halves for me for Bruno um but I’m not going to I’m not going to I’m not going to ignore the fact that he’s playing out of position and I’m not going to ignore the fact that in the first half he was actually very disciplined but I don’t think it’s going to work with Bruno in the Midfield I said that after the was when did he play there was it was it ips switch or Bodo glimp I is not going to work in a pivot no he won’t absolutely not um and not unless you’ve got 70% position and he’s dictating the play he he can’t tackle he can’t he can’t read the game defensively he can’t pick up the runners so it’s like putting rashford up front stop Gap yeah longterm no so why we did it today was probably because he wanted to keep possession and if he put casmiro there one’s a good pass one’s a m hit pass that lion inside of rashford has been fed he simply isn’t hungry anymore at 19 rashford had third long to prove himself every game Kevin you should be a poet what a what a what a statement I mean I just had flashbacks to rashford at 19 he did have a Third Lung he he was everywhere um where where where where’s that desire gone I don’t know Mark wasn’t the set Pete’s coach the one we kept says Benjamin yeah gacho we’ve done uh Bruno chaotic era is finally coming to an end says chiku mark my point was did they score scoring open play the answer is no obviously they were blunders to give away those corners but we were in the in it at 45 minutes yeah game of two halves Constantine yeah it’s frustrating but the positive is that Amin will see the mistakes and who was responsible and who he can count on and who he can’t look you come out of that game today you can count on Anana You Can Count On delit You Can Count On mazra You Can Count On Maguire You Can Count On agarte You Can Count On Ahmad um I think as I said I think you I think gacho Mount and rasas put in a shift for him they did their job so there are some play yoro did well there are players that he can that didn’t play badly in that game um there are players that he can trust in that game and there are players that you know need to do better that no one knows anything about football thought we would win tonight we lost two corners we are making slow progress we’ll get better says QT our attack looks toothless without Amad says shriet I was more confident in the attack than the defense when I saw the lineup but the opposite display from both was insane says haer nice kick about with the lad says bra as a neutral I thought agarte is criminally underrated did a lot of work today and was basically a 1 V3 in Midfield Bruno useless again Fabian great point I I thought agarte and delit will not get the credit for their performances I thought the team wasn’t terrible frustrated with rashford’s jogging again says Jamie uh thank you very much for that right let’s do player ratings uh because I know they’re waiting in Manchester um to do the um oh come on don’t start about on player ratings uh yeah they’re waiting to do the fan for him so let’s go uh I’m GNA give Anana you know what controversial seven I’m gonna give him a seven I’m not buying into the Gary Neville I I tweeted it it’s on my Twitter line I’m was really enjoyed his proactivity I really enjoyed his proactivity um on so many corners in the first half he came and punched it second half he made a good save on the front post from HTS I don’t get I’ve played the game I loved a goalkeeper on a corner who came for it and he did I know he wasn’t running out of his six yard box to get it but he did punch a lot of corners for me I would give him a seven I don’t get that and I have been critical of Anana but as I’ve always said I don’t do player FC I don’t do agenda if a player is playing bad for a long period of time I will keep giving them a bad score if they play well for a long period of time I’ll give them a good score if they play well at the weekend like rashford did I’ll give them a good score and today will’ll get a bad score I give him a seven uh my man of the match was delit I would give him a 7.5 6.3 I I know which way I know what’s happened here I know what’s happening here unfortunately we live in a world where if United lose a game everybody has to get a bad score because people can’t look beyond the result you’ve got to learn to look Beyond a result not everybody is bad in a loss and not everybody is good in a win the lit was man of the match Flawless performance for me 7.5 um Maguire 6.5 for me 5.7 okay just focusing on mine I think uh 6.5 for me Maguire um obviously couldn’t played the full 90 minutes but I thought he had a good game um and um obviously yeah yeah not much more to say about that probably give Maz RI um a steady seven again um again I didn’t see inut a foot wrong I thought the yellow card was harsh um just very very very assured very confident player um and and as amim said in the week you wish you had you know another six or seven of those uh the low for me was probably a 5.5 um again just I don’t know what it is um he did okay on the right hand side he goes to the left hand side that stupid shot from 35 yards that you just don’t need in a game like this it’s just pointless and somebody will say well it was only two meters wide doesn’t matter if it’s 10 it was pointless so I would give him a 5.5 it was a little bit below average again uh strong seven for a guarte for me uh I apologize like if you’re going to vote on the player ratings please do try and understand that some of our players played well um a strong seven for agarte I mean look six is average seven is good agarte was good delit was good mazra was good I’m not having it that they were below average just because everybody else up on set pieces so yeah agarte for me loads of blocks his passing was good loads of energy also probably doing the work of one and a half players because he’s got Bruno next to him who’s not defensive uh Bruno 5.5 um yeah first half a disciplin 6.5 second half a below average five 5.5 um but I’ve already explained my Bruno uh massia probably a six um I think he was you know I mean he doesn’t deserve a five I thought massia first half went off at halim when we were doing well if we’d have finished nil nil and he’d played the 90 you’d be giving him a seven so I’ll give him a six um for 45 minutes yeah uh Mason Mount six for me um put in a put in a good hour linkup play was good uh press was good organization was good obviously I know you can’t give him any higher than a six because as an attacking Force we did all but I don’t think that was his fault I don’t think we were ever going to take risks in the final third and I don’t think they were told to take risks so I’d give him a six um similarly for Gano I think he had a very similar game um there were some good bits um but it was hardworking it was retention it was physical it was holding up the play regaining possession session and I in fact I’d say the same for him and Rasmus as well not not man of the match but can’t turn it off uh six as well go back to delit there we go um yoro I’d give him a 6.5 for his second half performance yeah I thought he was um it was a great Cameo and I want to see more and you know that’s his that’s his first competitive minutes for Manchester United you know um because he’s been here for so long I felt like we’d seen him before but that’s the first time we’ve seen yoro and I was very very excited by it so hopefully we can keep working with him and you know I don’t want to use that I word but um hopefully there’s no more of those and we we can build some consistency again uh ahads yeah I give him a seven again just um every time he gets the ball something happens um and get the ball to ammad was our best shout in the second half uh rashford for me f five uh I mean three points some of these scores are ridiculous I give him a below average five um didn’t do anything when he came on not enough energy obviously we’ve spoken about the mistake that led to the corner but um you know good game against Everton you come on against Arsenal I think it was nil nil at that time or one nil at that time and then nothing happens and you just sort of like go probably play well at home against Forest where there’s chances again but that’s not being a man united player you can’t just playing the Everton games and the forest games at Old Trafford and get a couple of goals that’s not consistency so we pay a lot of money for these players we can’t just turn up against Forest at home or Everton at home you’ve got to turn up in games like this as well uh again I would probably give xery a 5.5 as well uh I thought it was yeah I didn’t think he made any impact um I don’t know I don’t know that I like him in that role behind the striker I think he’s got to be a false n for me um Anthony did crap on that free kick amarim for me today uh look I’m not going to give amarim for this because that’s just that’s just stupid I think that um first half was very good possession was very good organization was very good we clearly tried to defend with possession I said this in the preview the worst thing you can do against teams like this is let them have the ball because the more more they’ve got the ball the more corners they can win the more shots they can have and what we did in the first half is we kept the ball to stop them having the ball and it was it was very very good idea to do that um second half the subs didn’t work and we were the worst team in the second half so I think an average six for amarim um what could he have done better is what I always look at for the manager and I don’t know the fitness levels but what I probably would have done is if you’ve got to take Mountain gacho off put Bruno next to rashford or xery and bring casmiro on and put him next to agarte you’ve got to have a Bruno or a mount or someone who’s technical behind the striker and I think that probably cost us a little bit uh let’s do see let’s have a look who your man of the match was 45% of you went with delit interestingly second place was yoro third place was Ahmad so delit 45% well done to him um and uh I think it’s thoroughly deserved uh in a game where look what I would say is very very disappointed of course no one wants to lose but in a way I am encouraged not happy encouraged that he’s already lost the game get it out the way get a loss out the way and Arsenal away it’s not unexpected so he’s had a loss he gets to see how they react to a loss he gets to see why we lost he gets to see some players heads drop m you know low IQ um poor performances so he is I know people won’t be happy that we’ve taken four points from nine in his first three Premier League games it’s not great four points from nine when you think about it IP switch draw Everton win Arsenal loss four points from nine Man City are coming up the game after next so the points tally is not as good as you would hope it to be but I actually think in a very short period of time he’s on a fast track to the man United’s problems you know Luke Shaw’s got injured welcome to the world of injuries we haven’t you know we’ve we’ve been naive and lost a game of football uh We’ve drawn a game of football through naivity played really well against Everton so the yo-yo reality of man united is there for amarim to see we’re going to have a part to play in this though because if this continues the media will get bored they’ll be like Oh I thought I thought he was the new Jose oh like you know maybe he’s not that good we’ve got to back the manager we’ve got to stick with the manager and as I said we’ve got to be consistent don’t go too high on the wins and don’t go too low on the losses I said this after the Everton game don’t go over the top on that win and then go over the top if we lose to Arsenal I’m consistent I’m consistent you know Everton I don’t think it was as good as people think it was and Arsenal I don’t think it’s going to be as bad as some people think it is and that’s reflected in the player ratings some of you um are giving you like f you know giving people like deit a six played really well some people are giving um Yaro a six better than that definitely better than that so look it wasn’t as bad for some players some players were bad some players were good thanks everyone for watching get yourself over
