let’s talk North Texas and High Point conversation about both of these teams throughout the season so far this is High Point at home getting a point and a total of 128 here in this matchup Jeff na I know you were looking at this game but I believe we’ve had some line movement even here on Friday morning what stands out about this matchup tonight between high point in North Carolina and North Texas out of the American comp you start to see right about now bookmakers start to kind of get things right a little bit and just total they’re not giving you any wiggle room here I I wanted to take the under here um I was just hoping to get like 132 133 it’s not going to ever get there and I like high point but I liked it at three three and a half I don’t like it at one I noticed with North Texas every game they play is first to 65 wins that’s just how their games are thrown out there high point is not exactly an electrifying up and down team either this game is going to be very slow I think it’s going to come down to execution in the half court who’s just a better offensive team because I both think they’re pretty good on defense and High Point has the athletes and they’re at home here so it kind of negates any defensive prowess that high point doesn’t necessarily have high point is better though and they kind of remind me a little bit of mcne State who gave North Texas some problems High Point just better overall on offense they have more experience they’ve been together a longer period of time and they’re at home I just wanted to get a couple of points here I didn’t necessarily get it I do think the best play at this Point’s probably the under I could see this like a 6361 type of game but you’re really grasping at straws here and I just kind of G get the number I wanted understood Corby Craig this Highpoint team you have talked up they have a win over somebody’s UAB Blazers but they also have losses against Missouri stayed and they lost in their last game to Greensboro they are at home on a Friday night thoughts here that seems to me what do I know I defer to you guys that seems to me to be low on the total but you’re Captain under what are your thoughts yeah you would think so like seeing this Highpoint team uh what they’ve done basically just last year um you would think so and it’s an interesting thought analysis of like this is the same coach this is basically the same team uh from last year outside of Duke miles who went to Oklahoma this team last year was 109th in Tempo this year they are 342 so what changed like same coach same point guard same everything except Duke miles and it kind of reminds me of like this whole I’ve talked about this a few times but the Posh Alexander movement I think no matter what team Posh Alexander’s on these like betting models are going to say hey this team is this fast because the coach is this guy and whatever Posh Alexander will speed that team up by at least four possessions it’s just how he plays basketball and I think it’s just how Duke miles plays basketball if you go look at Oklahoma they’re fast now so people were probably trying to regress High Point back to like a faster Pace saying like hey this number shouldn’t be 128 because like high points going to play faster than they’re playing right now but I just don’t see it like I’ve watched the games and it feels like this team wants to play Slow they don’t have a guy in Duke miles who can go get a bucket um I as crazy as it sounds I agree with Jeff TN under here like a high point team last year who I I literally only bet overs it was only because Duke miles he liked to push the ball of court in transition um they don’t have that anymore they are slow they would like to be slow with North Texas if you go look at that MCN game I bet the over there I got really lucky for that to win I think it was like free throws at the end of the game to win that over 129 it went 131 I believe um I don’t think High Point can score as good as MCN so it would be an under nothing for me here uh I didn’t bet it I I saw in the pregame somebody said over under 12 and a half minutes for me to talk on this game so high points not that fun this year they they’re a much more boring team so I it would be under nothing but I didn’t bet this keep in mind one other point that I think’s High Point has played let’s just say two quality teams so far UAB and Greensboro they struggled to get to 70 in both those games in fact uh didn’t get the 70 in either of those games and in the six games that North Texas has played against division one opponents all of them have went under 129 so I mean you’re just not going to get a pace here and this could be a game truly played in the 50s um man I I’m going to play the under you know what I’m gonna I’m gonna gonna play the under yeah I’m gonna do it live button is going to come out here on the under I just don’t see I think Corby makes a great point there is no Duke miles on this group and when you look at high point when you really take a fine tooth comb their Tempo adjusted is 342 I mean that’s that’s super slow that’s to the point of North Texas so this could be a Minnesota type game where it’s high 50s uh low 50 something like that I’m going to go under 128 all right interesting again for North Texas they were in Orlando at the multi-team event they won a game uh with Northern Iowa they lost to Utah State in a 6157 game they’ve not played since now they’re on the road playing uh in High Point North Carolina I’m looking for uh my time which is 8 Eastern time tonight in high points building and let’s see what happens in this one for this evening I’m looking for the building name that is the quean center we’ve talked about that right uh in High Point ESPN plus will have it and once again the live play from Jeff is under what are we playing under 129 correct or 120 yes 128 do you know who Quiban is I do not know who Quiban is enlighten me he’s uh the president of the University he’s a a Lebanese businessman yeah he’s prominent enough to get the name on the arena or if you give enough money they put the name on The Arena I believe he’s worth uh quite a lot of money
