the most surprising result of the college football season to me Michigan beats Ohio State 13-10 we said in the preview I mean I don’t want to give ourselves credit because we got nothing mostly nothing right we thought Ohio state would smoke this team but we did say like if there’s one thing that will give Michigan a chance in this game it’s just Ryan Day pissing his pants knowing his job is online to me that’s exactly what happened in this game you saw an Ohio State game plan that was entirely run based I mean they wanted to prove that they could run through a stout Michigan defense front seven they couldn’t they couldn’t do it and it it single-handedly kept Michigan an offense that can’t move the ball in the game this became a game of field position which Michigan special teams executed their kicker made their kicks they punted great punts all game Ohio State’s kicker missed their kicks I mean this was the exact formula the only formula that could have led to a Michigan win and uh Ryan Day opened the door and left it open and Chiron Moore took it and then waved goodbye to the fans after we can talk about the flag plant and the postgame stuff at the end of this video for now let’s talk about the uh just the football results that we saw in this game it was a highly entertaining football game if not an ugly one Dion what’ you make of this game uh the game was terrible uh which is exactly what Michigan had to do to win the game it had to be really ugly um I think Ohio State lost it um and respectfully I do not wish injury upon anybody um but will Howard a I don’t think should have been in the game I I don’t actually believe he passed concussion protocol for what it’s worth that was a massive hit I think like somebody um whether it’s it within Ohio State or the NCAA someone has to answer some questions on that but two actually think they lost him when he came back in like I think they I think they win this game by a good amount if they just roll with Devin Brown um to be honest the team looked energized with Devin Brown on the field uh didn’t like what I saw out of them with Will Howard on the field before the injury but I do not believe he passed concussion protocol I don’t believe that for a second so that’s my probably my biggest takeaway was that was that was some nasty work that Ohio state did on that sideline to play him still um and I don’t agree with that in the slightest um they don’t pass the ball to Jeremiah Smith enough like I mean the every time the ball went to him it was a massive game and instead they’re throwing it to ibuka and then a lot of run um from Ohio State felt like they needed to pass the ball more I don’t think Michigan could handle like them opening opening it up with Jeremiah Smith as much as they they should have um I feel like they bailed them out a lot with their game plan uh Davis Warren I gotta give him credit he looks like a much different player than he did the first couple games of the Season too yeah look Warren is awful yeah I think Davis Warren would probably sit here and be like yeah I’m bad I can’t believe I have this job um um he’s also like a a tough kid who has been through a lot of adversity you know the story he survived cancer and like he’s just a battle tested guy off the football field let alone on the football field and he played Fearless that’s the one thing I would say now I don’t want to give Davis Warren Credit for winning this game because he had 62 yards passing two interceptions I mean he did everything he could to try and lose this game uh that Mi honestly Michigan should have won by two scores if he just floats the ball to a wide open guy in the end zone instead of throwing it right to Jack Sawyer but look at the same time Ohio State kept giving him chances and he got better as the game went on I mean that last couple of drives where he he had the scramble he had the roll out right and and a throw to I mean the guy who hasn’t even been a primary target for Michigan makes the catch of his life um I that’s literally the word I would use to describe it I thought Davis Warren kalal mullings and the entire Michigan defense played Fearless everyone on Ohio State played like they were terrified they were terrified of what if we lose to the worst version of Michigan ever and I think you could feel that in the stadium I think you could see it on your screen I think it this rivalry has gone through so many chapters I watched it for 16 years growing up Ohio State it was mental it was it was everything it was your being you went into that game as a Michigan program that had won one of the last 15 just knowing you’re doomed and you went in as Ohio State knowing this is our our Christmas right now that’s flipped and I don’t fully know why it’s flipped I think Jim Harbaugh and his staff and the the things they did to get the Edge versus Ryan day has been the flip and and look Chiron Moore I made a lot of jokes his expense this year I don’t even necessarily believe he’s a great football coach yet I can’t believe first and goal at the three he put the ball in Davis Warren’s hands instead of just pound the ball to mullings four times like that’s I can’t believe you gave your quarterback a chance to F it up I think in a lot of ways he hurt his team in this game but the one thing you can’t take away from him this guy’s got a little bit of [ __ ] to him as a coach he may not know fully what he’s doing he’s got some [ __ ] to him in big games and he got that locker room to believe he’s now beaten Ohio State without Jim Harbaugh back-to-back years he beat Michigan State he won that rivalry game he turns around he’s waving to the fans I mean there there’s something about him as a motivator that I think is real and is staying power here and uh it was impressive to me to watch from Sidelines I think um I think the best thing that happened in Michigan was this game being in Ohio State too um it puts even more pressure on Ohio State takes even more off of them if you allow Ohio State to play this game in an arbor you might have a little bit different of a result um but but I I thought shiron more did phenomenal I mean you you mentioned Davis Warren like 62 yards two picks right yeah yep um I don’t know your feeling on it like I obviously I didn’t know his statline like um but it felt like he made plays I remember will Howard didn’t make plays I remember even despite Davis Warren doing absolutely nothing that picked to Jack Sawyer was terrible he still made the plays that I remember and that’s all you need him to and um to be honest with you I think if you swap the quarterbacks I think Ohio State wins this game genuinely because I think Davis Warren um oh that’s a crazy take I think so so will Howard said before the season I we’ve said the quote a million times if I’m saying it wrong my bad but he said like I don’t need to do anything special I just have to do my job you know what I mean I don’t need to be a superhero I just yeah yeah the problem is Will Howard also wants to be a superhero within that uh like he feels like he is a superhero that’s playing down Davis Warren knows he stinks and I think Ohio State needs a QB if their QB isn’t CJ strad or potentially what Julian Sayan could wind up being or like one of these NFL guys I think it’s better to have a QB that just knows he isn’t very good and is just gonna try to manage the game will Howard thinks he’s like he thinks he’s like pissed off Hulk who’s just being nice Hulk because he has so much talent around him and he wants to be a superhero very bad but like he he doesn’t feel like he has to Davis Warren knows he isn’t a superhero and I think that’s the difference you know Ohio State needs something like that yeah it does sound a little crazy because um look I I think he might have been concussed maybe clearly was concussed at the same time when I watched will Howard re-enter the game there was a part of me that as someone rooting for Michigan that had bet Michigan money line I breathed a sigh of relief when will Howard re-entered the game I felt like Michigan had a better chance against that guy than they did if they just I don’t know had a guy they weren’t going to go crazy with and um look will will Howard had two picks of his own I thought one of the two was really bad the other one was a great play by Michigan um I don’t just the whole thing it it really did just feel like Ohio state was trying to prove they’re someone they’re not like we’re going to win with toughness you don’t need to win with toughness win with speed and skill let use these receivers that you’ve got to dominate a team that was without will Johnson in the secondary and even you look at the receivers like they targeted Tate more than they targeted eduka or Smith like it’s it’s insane you didn’t use the thing that is best about you um it seems like that’s been a common trait in Ohio State Michigan games the last couple of years so I don’t know at the end of the day like talk about it legacies are made in this game every single year and Chiron Moore’s Legacy right now is someone who [ __ ] you flip it the the Jim Harbaugh quote Ryan day was born on third base Chiron Moore was born at home he he he was handed a home run and said just just stand on the plate and at the same time coming off a national championship he had to go back to the Batters box with a pretty empty like it’s z00 he’s got no quarterback he’s got to replace Blake Corum he’s got no running back and um he was supposed to be way behind Ohio State because they are way behind Ohio State right now I mean you play this game 100 times Ohio State should win at 99 of 100 and the fact that he won it his legacy is made to me already like he there’s no question no conversation that Chiron Moore is not the guy at Michigan and there never will be because of what he just did to Ryan day um khle mullings two of Michigan’s wins why is Michigan bow eligible because they beat USC in Ohio State off khil mulling making an insane run I mean breaking a tackle where he should have been stuffed seven yards short of the line on third down and he just that’s a grimy gritty guy that just got it done 32 carries 116 yards um Coulson loveland’s probably sick he opted out of this game because I know he loves to talk [ __ ] and get in scraps after rivalry wins and I mean this would have been a great one to add to his resume let’s talk about the end of this game Michigan plants the flag uh I had a lot of thoughts at first whatever they plant the flag there’s full video you can see the whole thing Ohio State took it upon themselves to come back across the field they were not in the middle of it when Ohio State planted the flag they came all the way back across the field led by Jack Sawyer who screams I’m not letting them do that again jack Sawyer ends his Ohio State Career 0 and four against Michigan uh second consecutive time Michigan has planted the flag at the Horseshoe after a win how do you decipher what happened at the end of this game I’m cool with it from both sides um you know in the last short we talked about me being a sayings guy another one of my all-time favorite sayings walk in your trap take over your trap Michigan did that they did that they took over they took over the shoe in this case um however I’m okay with Michigan wanting to plant the flag because they won the game that’s their crib now but at the same time if you’re Ohio State you can’t let them spin the block and do it twice so I’m okay with it from both sides my biggest issue I thought the pepper spray was crazy like those cops were bored like that doesn’t make any sense to me like I watched the full video part of the reason I’m okay with it is I don’t believe any of these kids actually want to fight you know what I mean like I don’t believe any of these kids like are actually trying to like do malicious harm to each other you know like there was a little it was a kurur fluffle you know what I mean like there was nothing there was nothing Uber dangerous about it um I kind of felt the same what like you know what I mean so like I don’t that’s why I’m okay with it like Michigan plants the flag you know we throw some punches on some dudes that have helmets on that don’t even feel like what’s happening you’re probably doing more damage to yourself coaches break it up we go back to the locker rooms we talk about how much we hate each other in press conferences and we move on and I think it would have been just fine if it was like that I I didn’t like the pepper spray aspect of it I feel like that heightened what happened because we saw this happen at pretty much every game the rest of the night with no pepper spray and there was nobody I don’t believe anybody left like super injured either I don’t believe anybody got arrested in any of the games I haven’t heard anything like that so we’ve seen it we saw it happen a million times the rest of the way and the two teams like fake fought and then went back to their locker rooms and so I’m okay with it from both perspectives Michigan punked Ohio State they have the ability to try to plant the flag I’m also okay with Ohio State being like I don’t care if you just punked us you’re not gonna spin the block and punk us again I’m GNA come snatch that flag yeah okay I I think I I guess I agree with your output but I’m going to disagree with the way you phrase it um because of some context of someone who’s lived in Michigan and look I I get it I have no reason to speak on this Michigan fans let me know how they feel about me daily I’m a Michigan basketball fan a Michigan State football fan it makes no sense I’m the worst human being I own that every day of my life it sucks I don’t like it in times like this um look when people ask why don’t I love Michigan football and people don’t believe this but I look I I went to Michigan State as a student I got into Michigan I didn’t go to Michigan because I hated the arrogance when I visited an arbor I just I don’t my brain does not compute with like constant arrogance we’re so much better than everyone it drives me insane and that’s Michigan football to its core I don’t feel like that’s Michigan basketball to its core maybe it was in the Fab Five but in the years I grew up with John beine there wasn’t a more humble program in the sport that’s the program I couldn’t shake was the humility of John beine I don’t know what it is I respect Michigan football I really like JJ McCarthy I think he’s one of the more humble players we’ve ever seen like you can talk about what you want he was mostly just a good guy doing his meditation win football games so Blake corm same thing I know there’s weird stuff with him like I don’t have issues with certain Michigan teams um I do have issues with the simple fact that in the course of the last couple of years when things have swung back good for Michigan football they are constantly getting in altercations and the constant of their altercations is this like they had the tunnel incident at Michigan State they had a different fight with someone else I forget who it was they had Michigan State after this year where they beat Jon and Smith and then Coulson Loveland and and Michigan State players are shoving each other turns into a scrap with some stomping involved and then you have this flag plant quote unquote Rawl with pepper spray at Ohio State what’s the constant here the constant is Michigan being the provocator and then look if they wanted to do this like if they want to just do this be the Arrogant [ __ ] we win and we talk our [ __ ] F y’all they can do that and people won’t like them but you can do that where you lose me and where I lose respect for is when you do that and then you immediately flip to they got to learn how to lose with class that’s some [ __ ] and that’s what I heard khil mulling say on camera mind you there’s video from khil mulling six weeks ago of him presumably stomping the ground I’m sure he was stomping the ground in the Michigan State fight right so it’s just kind it’s like the bully that needs to get bullied right you just you talk your [ __ ] and you talk [ __ ] and you talk your [ __ ] and just expect everyone else to take it and I hear the Michigan side of it that’s like shut up beat us on the field that’s fine but you cannot sit here and tell me and by the way watch the video of it yeah Ohio State’s in the wrong for running back they look horrible for that but Michigan didn’t just plant the flag they planted the flag and had all their players like basically yelling expletives at Ohio State like they were begging for a response and then when they get the response it’s well we didn’t do anything wrong we just wanted to plant our flag this happened nowhere else it’s nonsense it’s happened so many repeated times it’s like flopping in basketball it’s the player who flops and acts like the other person did everything just own the fact that you’re going to be the big bad bully to me if if you own the fact that you’re a big bad bully you don’t immediately get in that altercation and then be like well they need to lose with more Grace it’s nonsense to me yeah no I agree and don’t worry I’m uh 100% about to take the heat off of you with Michigan fans they’re going to hate me after I say all this um I completely agree with that P portion of it uh you don’t get to play oh well you should beat us on the field okay yeah they should have beat you on the field you also don’t get to beat them on the field and then spin the block on them and like talk all this trash flant the flag cuss them out Etc and expect them not to do anything either like that’s that’s just human nature um I have an issue with Michigan fans and the way they handle these these like can I call them scandals is that like the right word I don’t know what word I’m looking for here yeah it’s weird to come up with the word because it’s hard to Define what a word is for a program that does this after every big win they have ever but I was goingon to say like you you know this like we uh you know this is like the third try you me and cart have had at like doing like shows together and we were doing one when the Michigan Michigan State brawl happened and I was like I don’t understand why Michigan fans are like acting like like so innocent like there something like wrong here like something happened that’s like like not okay um I don’t fully feel that way about this Kur fluffle because like I said like some of the stuff that came out of that Michigan Michigan State braw the aftermath was very dangerous like this one didn’t feel super dangerous to me which is why I was kind of okay with both sides but they keep doing the like play like play the oh we the victim card like you can’t provoke everybody and then play the victim card they also did it in the buildup to the game in my opinion where it’s like this game means nothing to us like we suck like this game is nothing you guys are going to make the playoff anyway and then they win we’re going to plant the flag and blame you guys for having a reaction to that like you can’t play victim all the time when you’re the one making yourself the victim so consistently you’re the one putting yourself in those spots so consistently um at the end of the day and they theyve consistently done it and Michigan fans have consistently defended the team coaching staff the fact that they only have one tunnel in the year 2024 when it’s not that expensive to make a second one but I digress on that front um like all these different things Michigan fans have defended them for which as a fan base like the the support that they provide this team I think anybody else in the country would love to have you can kind of do no wrong clearly um with them and you’ll be defended even mullings like stomping the ground I’m sure like I’m sure this is not Stomp the Yard like like he was doing something else for sure um but it is I am sick of the victim mentality that comes out of Michigan and and it’s why when they were playing in that National Title I was like if they win this game they’re going to be insufferable and and credit to Michigan fans I I do think they handle losing um with class I I do if you want to say they handle winning um maybe even better than like Ohio state would potentially I’m not going to argue that I I do think that there is um like M Michigan fans like handle stuff a little bit better but I don’t feel like they’ve handled any of these scandals correctly I also don’t love that like this game doesn’t matter then it was the biggest game in the world once you guys won like I I don’t like that mentality at all yeah I just I don’t have no interest in sitting here and defending Ohio State like genuinely I was rooting for Michigan to win this game I bet Michigan I know my dad’s gonna be happy watching it like I got I got no I I despise Ohio State football but like it’s like a little toddler that’s gonna like like just keeps going up and pinching the same kid like you’re just you’re just going to pinch the kid over and over and over again and the kid tells you to stop you just keep pinching and pinching and pinching finally the kid turns around and hits you in the face and then the kid that’s been pinching tells the teacher and says I didn’t do anything I got hit in the fa that’s Michigan that’s what Michigan football’s doing in all of these incidents and that’s what their fans do on Twitter they slow slowmo the video down and say look how bad this is like which again goes back to your original point I got no issue with the flag plant but I have no issue with the response to it if you’re going to say the flag plant’s okay then you have to say the response to it’s okay me personally this is my I’m too old for this moment why can’t we just win a football game without this [ __ ] like at some point we’re just going to ban this which is stupid we shouldn’t have to but like look man people are like well Baker Mayfield did it it’s been eight years since Baker Mayfield did it I haven’t seen this happen anywhere and the fact that this happened at Michigan Ohio State turned into seven other schools at night clearly like all these other schools watched Michigan Ohio State and we’re like oh [ __ ] we can be all over social media if we do this [ __ ] and then they decide to do it I just I think it’s lame and I think it’s lame beyond the Michigan game like I I think it’s effing lame it is stupid it’s it makes no sense to me celebrate talk your [ __ ] whatever you want if you’re just planting a flag just to act like you’re original and cool and and get the social media love and then the other team comes back to fight you to defend it’s just the whole thing is so unnecessary I feel like Matt Painter with court storms it’s effing stupid to me I do think the UN Neary aspect is true like in my heart of hearts like you just don’t do any of that stuff and you just go to the locker room but if you’re going to plant a flag you have to be okay with them not being okay with that it’s you’re purposely trying to disrespect their home someone walks into your home and disrespects you you’re going to have a response do I think that response should have been on the field absolutely so should have been your disrespect though like s like Ryan day didn’t light a cigarette as he’s walking up to Signet to shake his hand and then put it out and then reach his hand out he did it during the game the disrespect Ohio state did to Indiana was during the game once that game ends it’s a new game you don’t get to disrespect them after the game and expect there not to be a response and then I don’t remember if it was the Michigan players staff are fans but I saw a lot of people I think it was fans I saw a lot of fans being like well Texas did it to us and we didn’t do anything that ain’t Ohio State’s fault that ain’t Ohio State’s fault like that has nothing to do with anything um so like I I’m I’m wholeheartedly on your side you just shouldn’t do this stuff but if you’re going to do it you have to be okay with the response too right that’s that’s a good good angle uh it’s just baffling to me I tweeted like I’mma buy a big ass flag give it to my 10-year-old nephew and teach him when he wins his ut10 soccer game to plant that [ __ ] at Midfield and call the other team [ __ ] let’s do that and then and then when the other team retaliates the 10-year-olds uh me and all the parents are going to tell them to learn how to lose like can we can we not just grow up a little bit think about how ridiculous this entire thing is and I’m not even like a sportsmanship guy I don’t really give a [ __ ] normally I just I can’t process that like like the arrogance you have to have to be like we’re in the right here you need to let us do this on your home turf makes no sense to me at all at all crazy crazy to me by the way I never want to learn how to lose like let me let me let me wholeheartedly get in front of something I never want to be the guy that knows how to lose Michael Jordan probably 60 years old at this point still doesn’t know how to lose and it could be Monopoly and he’s a psycho if he’s losing I never want to learn how to lose do I want to like start fights and potentially commit felonies when I lose I also don’t want to do that but I don’t think that’s learning how to lose like I never want to learn how to lose I I I didn’t like that aspect of it ever that’s a bad mentality one guy who knows how to lose uh Ryan day he doesn’t need to learn that congrats to Michigan congrats to Chiron Moore uh congrats to Michigan
