and again this game should be on paper looks fantastic in Charlotte the Jumpman classic where we saw Florida beat North Carolina last night this is night two and this is Oklahoma uh one of the better teams right now in the Big 12 playing against Michigan Dusty May the first year coach got some transfers in they’re playing well how about Michigan three and a half point favorites on the neutral floor total 1505 all right Matt kick it back to you to start the discussion here this has like a March F that’s the whole idea on the uh on the true neutral floor with Oklahoma and Michigan playing all the way in charlot North Carolina thoughts on this one please it’s funny I was about to talk about Oklahoma as like a hey everyone pay attention this team’s really good they actually might still be undervalued uh you look at their kmom ranking from start of year to now they started at 40 right which is usually where Oklahoma is where they’ve been under mosa they’ve been kind of that Fringe top 50 team you know good to you know eight seed to bubble bubble nit range um not that talented but well coached you know kind of like a cockroach hard to beat now they have you know some real talent with their back court Jeremiah FS I know he’s young but he’s been a dynamic player the point of attack got a good sidekick there and and Duke miles uh from High Point last year a guy I’ve always liked uh but again they started at 40th now they’re 38th despite being 10 and0 beat Providence Arizona Louisville those were like the three Marquee wins but I think we’ve learned that Providence without Bryce Hopkins not a great basketball team Arizona obviously struggling this year as well Louisville um after a promising start they have no depth so you look at what Oklahoma’s done I think their most impressive win was the one they just had against Oklahoma State their rival in bedum 15-point win dominated a very good Steve Lutz team I kind of think this team actually has a little bit more uh room to run with upside I know there’s some regression in their portfolio in terms of this three-point shooting splits both ways but I like that their young back court their kind of newly formed back court can only get better and better as they go along and Porter Moser is kind of a pick and roll uh Savant the way they execute in the half court they get good slips good action but the pick and roll that the two bigs run for Michigan that’s the story for uh the OU defense tonight can they stop black golden and Danny wolf in that very unorthodox but effective seven foot on seven foot pick and Rel action that’s been so good in big games Corby Craig it’s a Michigan team that when last we saw them was playing at the Garden against uh Arkansas tremendous game uh last 10 minutes of that game and Arkansas narly beat them 89 to 87 they have a two-point win over Iowa recently they also won at Wisconsin by three thoughts on Michigan thoughts on the total as well at 150 a half on the neutral floor please yeah this is an Oklahoma team who’s impressive Duke miles always one of my favorite players so that’s that’s always fun to see them but the I think the big story here and Matt kind of hit it it’s this duke or this uh not Duke uh this Michigan big man situation like I see Danny wolf he’s impressive like don’t get me wrong he’s he’s a good basketball player but like the turnover situation in Michigan just seems like a bit ridiculous and kind of hard to back this team like we see in the Arkansas game Danny Wolf the entire starting five basically had at least three turnovers Danny wolf with three Trey Donaldson four Vlad golden one is the only person who didn’t have at least three so this is a team who just like whenn pressed doesn’t really have anything to do because that high pick and roll that the two bigs run is so high like it’s basically top of the three-point line like they’re running a really big action really high up the issue is Oklahoma doesn’t have any big so like how are they going to stop uh two seven Footers on a pick and roll I don’t think they do I would imagine what they do instead is a some kind of like a three quarter court press some some way of making sure Danny wolf doesn’t get the ball at the top of the three-point line if that happens this this is an overgame through and through like if you can force Michigan into Tempo Oklahoma has scores to play Tempo this would be an over or nothing for me dog or nothing for me but I didn’t bet it well what it’s worth the chat is all over your thoughts on Oklahoma Matt Cox and anti- Michigan as well even though Michigan is favored here in this scenario Trey Donaldson the guard has been playing well uh as of late for them let’s see what the Wolverines have tonight so nothing officially on this game but we gave you a lot of good discussion here on Oklahoma and Michigan both [Music]
