rival Oklahoma State in Oklahoma City which is a neutral sight game on Saturday uh this Oklahoma team obviously coming off of an undefeated start to their season wins over Providence Arizona Louisville Georgia Tech uh all pretty convincingly like it wasn’t you know there wasn’t anything really controversial about those wins they did handled their business Porter Moser continues to prove that he is a a really good program Builder uh taking on an Oklahoma State team that has saved itself from the accusations of being one of the worst or the worst Power Conference team in the country they have wins over seat in Hall in Miami but they also have losses neutral sight losses to Nevada and FAU Dion obviously Oklahoma’s the favorite in this game they have a fresh fresh Phenom and Jeremiah FS who’s kind of really taken over for this team what are you looking for from the Sooners in this game dominance I I I said this on a a short we did today as well uh I think this is the game where Jeremiah fear cements himself as a first round pick I think this dude has all the game in the world to be a oneandone um obviously with him reclassifying like some of the juice behind him like you lose a little bit of it um and I think this is the moment on like the national scale I mean I guess it’s ESPNU but on the national scale uh neutral sight game 20 miles away from where he where they normally play U I think this is the moment where you see like a massive Jeremiah fears game he gets everybody’s attention I think this kid’s super special uh he’s one of the most fun guards to watch in the country and uh I just think I think you get the I’m Looking For Less from Oklahoma more so just like hey I’m here like the Jeremiah Fe as I’m here M you know I think this is on ESPNU because Oklahoma State’s in this game uh if this was if this was or it’s Big 12 sec it could have been on SEC network or ESPN Plus for all we know so I’m just glad that it’s on C TV um I agree with you I I think that like there are some freshman guards that have come out and impressed in in big games to hot peder uh I’ve lovingly referred to it big game tood because his splits between big games and not big games are Stark um there’s been a lot of other freshman you know obviously you’ve got Dylan Harper uh doing his his work but like Jeremiah fears to a degree kind of came like we knew he was going to be good I don’t know if we knew he was going to be like three games of 20 plus points uh eight games of 14 plus points good this early with a ton of assists and a ton of turnovers but uh pretty good Defender like all around best player on this Oklahoma team really elevated this Oklahoma roster to a point where we’re talking about them completely differently than we were talking about them in the preseason like I thought we thought oh you know they’ll be competitive but it’s a tough sec I still think they’ll be in the middle of the SEC because of how tough the SEC is but I don’t necessarily think being you know having a 500 winning record in the SEC is out of the question anymore with this Oklahoma team uh Oklahoma State on the other hand has struggled their wins look good because of the name on of their opponents but Miami right now is sitting at 3 and seven uh they won that game by six on a neutral SE in B sitting at five and five but it is a I don’t want to I’ll stop short of saying fraudulent five and five like they have had a lot of struggles uh they beat them by nine on a neutral give a little bit of a an interesting matchup to uh to Oklahoma they don’t turn the ball over that much they they force a ton of turnovers which like if you’re if you’re going to take advantage of the weak one weakness really cuz I mean I know Fier doesn’t shoot the ball from three well yet but the one weakness of fears is his turnovers you want a team that’s top 20 in the country in forcing them and that’s exactly what Oklahoma state is they play at a very fast tempo um that maybe could could speed up Force even more mistakes from fears but that’s really the only way they win this game is like they have to have they beers has to have the worst game of his season I feel like for Oklahoma State to win this game uh is there anyone on this Oklahoma State team that if you’re Oklahoma you’re circling because for me it’s Bryce Thompson but he also has been up and down this season but like he’s the guy who if I’m Oklahoma I’m circling his name and saying that guy can’t beat us yeah I mean obviously like I I I agree that it’s Bryce Thompson I think it’s Bryce Thompson because of everybody else that’s on the roster though not necessarily because of Bryce Thompson because like if you’re going into a game game planning you have to Circle somebody right and be like yeah we’re not GNA let him beat us and yeah I mean it’s definitely Bryce Thompson but he’s been very up and down I don’t think Bryce Thompson strikes fear into Oklahom no and and for those screaming Oklahoma State fans that are watching screaming Avery like I get it he’s been good um I also think that if there’s one thing that you can trust from this Oklahoma front court is that their bigs are good defensively they might not be fantastic um but they are relatively solid relatively solid defensively uh and I think that you know Avery is going to get his but to beat this Oklahoma team you need more than just a stretch four or stretch five like you need someone who can you can give the ball to to get his own shot that’s Bryce Thompson so um I mean the more we talk about this the more I think it’s it’s going to be be a very convincing win uh Ken pal because dimer pro at the time of this recording does not have their game predictions up for for this game but they should be up later in the afternoon evening uh today which is Friday kenpom has this as a 79 to 74 win for Oklahoma giving them a 30 giving them a 68% chance of winning this game I think that’s based on the fact that Kemp pom hasn’t uh totally gotten rid of preseason bias because for me if I’m going with a prediction I we’ve seen Oklahoma get to that 80 Mark in a ton of their big games or at least threatened to get to that 80 Mark you know 79 78 probably feels about right but their defense in these games has been what’s won them these games late um obviously they held Louisville to 64 uh they held Georgia Tech to 61 holding Arizona under 80 is a huge accomplishment even with the struggles Arizona’s had uh so give me Oklahoma 78 uh Oklahoma State 69 like a I don’t think it’s double digits uh but I do think it’s a very convincing like we might not even get into foul Fest territory in this game yeah I think um I think I’m on the same page with you I think it I mean Oklahoma has two nearly 20 point scores and Jaylen Moore and Jeremiah fears uh like I feel I don’t know how Oklahoma State’s going to put the ball in the basket on the other side of things right so it’s like it’s one of those things where I definitely lean towards Oklahoma I think it winds up being one of those games where Oklahoma’s up between like 15 and 17 with two minutes to go sub the starters out I think Oklahoma State hits a few threes and then you wind up with anywhere from like a nine to a 13 Point Victory for Oklahoma but I think like you said it’s a convincing like we’re not fouling down the stretch like let’s get out of here type performance we’ll be here after the game uh to discuss everything that happens if they win Oklahoma’s 10 and0 and then we’re having a real discussion about there you know what they could actually be uh in in March uh if they’re on that list of like teams that could be potentially fraudulent I don’t think they are but I think their name will pop up a bunch um just because of their path to the battle for Atlantis Championship uh but we we will we will be discussing that after the game I’ve been Connor he’s Dion with sleepers media make sure you
