Royals have some rumors surrounding them we will be covering these rumors and more coming up on this episode of the talking o [Music] podcast hey there Oriol fans today is November 25th 2024 and welcome back in to the Talk andos podcast as always I’m your host Evan and coming out on today’s episode we’ll be covering some rumors surrounding the oils some starting pitching related some related to an outfield power bat also I know it has been a hot minute since I had made an episode so yeah let’s go and dive right into the htics the first rumor we have is Garrett crochet possibly headed to to the Orioles I also did do this in my offseason predictions video you can check it out up here crochet for the white socks last year posted the 3508 ER was also selected as the white sock’s only Allstar the Orioles were pursuing him at the trade deadline but the white socks just decided n we want to keep him and my guess as to why they keep kept him is to probably entice teams even more and to get him and eventually those teams would pull the trigger more specifically those teams would be the Orioles in this scenario I would have the Orioles giving him an extension in this scenario as currently he does have two years of Team control on his contract I probably won’t provide a mount trade for this as I have no idea who the orals would actually trade to get crochet they might trade Kobe Mayo they might trade huson Kad they might trade anyone that is a top prospect hell maybe even Jackson holiday but but for this next one we will be discussing two in one which is another starting pitcher rumor more specifically Luis Caso and framer VZ the Mariners are looking to get some mats in their lineup and trading Luis Castillo to the Orioles will be a good trade partner although Castillo is kind of on the old side he’s currently about 31 and soon to be 32 this December he’s a 21.6 million in 2025 2026 and 2027 also as tting option for 2028 but I don’t know if the oils would put up with that currently he is really is expensive as I said with the money he loed over the next three seasons Castillo also has a no trade clause and in this scenario we would have him waving his no trade clause to go to B more a m trade I made for him is the oils getting Caso the Mariners getting back Chase to mcdermit who is ranked number five on MLB pipeline Patrick Riley ranked number 14 and Juan Nunes who is ranked number eight also yes I do know that Juan nun is eligible for the rule five draft and the orils haven’t yet protected him which is adding him to the 40 man roster but in this trade scenario we have where the Orioles do protect him and add them to the 40 Man moving on one trade rumor is the orals potentially trading for framber VZ the oals are looking to make the rotation even better in 2025 and a guy like Valdez it’s perf perfectly as Corbin Burns will be leaving in free agency VZ also has a career 330 ER and an RA plus of 125 the Asos might not be willing to trade wz as the oils would have to put a trade package that the oils or I mean the Astros will not turn down even if they have to such as putting Kobe Mayo or hon Kad as a headliner of that trade moving on from the pitching Market there is another hot take swirling around the rumor real and that guy is Ryan Mount Castle I could see the Astros in the first mesan as John single Singleton is a horrible option at first you could throw the twins in there as they are losing Carlos Santana Cardinals they’re losing Paul goldmit most likely and the Diamond Backs are losing Christian Walker who is also a formal orial I could see the Diamondbacks sticking up a deal with the Orioles for Ryan Mount Castle and the Diamondbacks could send over some pitching and a hitting Prospect to Baltimore that will do it for this episode of the talko podcast I will be back once a new piece of Orioles news does come out but until then I’m Evan and this has been the talking no podcast
