let’s get straight into it of course the big news this weekend it is the first game for Ruben Amarin Joe’s very excited Man United against ST which of course um we thought we’d milk it we’re not going to lie one more time we’ve got one more in us one more in us then we got one more again because there’s a lot of intrigue around now isn’t there at the minute yeah absolutely you know we’ve discussed his transfers we’ve discussed the move today we’re going to be talking about his best 11 the perfect side for him to set out because yesterday gave that interview Den was quite revealing in his press hiss so today we’ set ABS the task of building out what we think is his best 11 throughout the course of the Season how he’s going to eventually end and Sorry by the way no expense spell we’ve now put a pitch on the Saturday look at that t we BL tack it all on when you do get round the magnets need a little bit more placement don’t they yeah so should we start in goal then I think this is an obvious place to start right only one name here only one name and for me we recently did a Premier League team of the season so far on SDs and he was in goal for me I think he’s been one of the best Keepers in the League this season so far most clean sheets in the league most amount of goals prevented I think 3.9 this season so he’s been really really good and even from last season when he did struggle in Champions League nights we watched watch one together Bay Mich he did struggle but um he he did really turn around and I think in the league as well he was um underrated for sure you think he’s underrated Jimbo uh no I don’t if I’m honest I think that he had that a lot of man united man um goalkeepers like de GE if imagine that first season was tricky and then he kind of he calmed down he found his feet I think he’s done that and I think with with amarim there’ll be a lot of short passing and he wants to be better with the ball but I think there’s an option for a ball over the top at times to to a forward and I think Ana’s absolutely got that in his locker so yeah before we talk about the system there’s a lot of talk I don’t know if you saw Gary Neville as very revealing it brilliant watch actually with Ruben Amry talks about revealed a lot Ruben didn’t he talking about the system change the way that we think we’re going to play what have you made of Ruben amim in in these first few weeks all the media and everything that’s come with it cuz I’ve been quite impressed with with what I’ve yeah I look I think ten hog maybe the interviews are such a big thing because You’ got to sort of bring everyone in and I think his emotional intelligence is probably his his superpower amongst everything else I think that he talks about Clarity a lot and I think it’s a tough one for Man United fans because you know you’re you’re scared because it’s gone wrong several times but you know what else can you do apart from kind of go again and so you want someone to kind of Hold Your Hand a little bit but I think also of when a manager goes you’re looking for what was a problem with that manager and with him he talks about Clarity one idea yeah and so the one thing that team’s going to know is that how they’re going to play he’s got no problems with that and we’ve all talked about it um so there’ll be Clarity there and he’s got emotional intelligence so I think he’s spoken really well so far I think he spoke really well and the non-negotiables you mentioned and work great it was very very strong on that as a United fan we haven’t actually spoken to about the appointment so so what are your thoughts on the appointment itself I spoke last time I was on here about the inos era and how much that was a big difference for us compared to the Glazer ownership I think this has been them getting their man and it really shows obviously with him getting a head coach with the length of his contract I think he was really astute um someone that they brought in very well and it was quite rapid as well it was getting him in from sporting making him make a big decision 11 wins in a row that they had at a sporting was one of the I think the only team in Europe that had that win streak throughout the whole season hadn’t dropped the dropped points or even lost the game so him doing that was really really exceptional and inos doing that seems like they got their man especially when when you hear him speak he speaks about how him speaking to these guys was really important for them to all be on the same page this is the manager they want to go forward with and like you guys say the personality is almost the antithesis of of Eric T hug that’s a really good point in the sense that yes there’s been several managers that haven’t worked but this is a new ownership so you’ve got to give that new ownership a chance with with this guy and yeah he’s saying all the right things definely yeah let’s get on to center backs then let’s this is the main thing this is all we’re talking about I’m going should I reveal the back three mon we’ll start one go let’s start with one at a time because I think the first player still a little bit of an unknown right hasn’t played played a game yet for United properly obviously we saw him in a friendly game but Lenny yoro you think will be a starter in his best 11 I do think so and uh obviously he had um experience um playing in a back three and played on the right side of the back three and did and that’s where really he was signed he wanted to be signed by Madrid Liverpool I think were interested United also were and ended up getting him almost a bit is like having two star Boys in one team Kobe Mino is obviously at his age very very underrated as a as as a player who’s who who’s one of the best at his age group Lenor is another one and I think it’s it’s fantastic man united was a big cup that they had but him what I really like about him is that he looks like he’s going to be very well defending wide areas I think that’s what a big strength of his but on the ball we saw it in preseason if you remember under 10 hug his pass we talk about a pass over the top to a forward which is one something we’re going to see a lot from a amm team that pass over to a left wing back over the top is going to be very very essential and Leno can do that as always also breaking the lines to the forward line as well would you have him in there Jimbo starting yeah straight away even he’s 18 yes I think because you need to I think Amarin wants he wants team players and I think he’s happy with young players as well and then there’s a there’s a group of players where there’s a question mark where I think he spoke about um we need the data he needs the data on those players in in the sense of can he bring them round and he get he take them back to to a sort of a higher level and I think Len yo is in that bracket of you know a young uh superstar in the making and I think as part of a back three it’s going to be interesting because there will be pressure on him on the ball certainly but L he’ll have a bit of help um around him and you know you’ve bought him you need to play him and Jim I think we all expect there to be a back three so the big thing will be the the formation change so who have you got with your other two Center back two Center halfes we’ got matius Deli and I’m guessing you’ve got is that Martinez yeah Sandro Martinez now this is a couple of thing I was considering when I was I asked about this in possession out of possession the difference is cuz I think as a Central Center half Matias Deli is the best out of possession in terms of how he jumps how he wins the ball he’s quite aggressive in in in the way he defends that is where he’s really good on the ball I think and we asked to mention um player some people that we didn’t actually make into the first 11 but on the ball players like Maguire and Evans and United fans might not expect this would actually be very very good in amam system as a center Center half why me and James are both alluded to it so far these balls over the top to the wing backs are are going to be something you see so often under amarim where the pass to a wing back that’s making a run or maybe one of the to jaw 10 that are making runs in behind that pass either from Center Center half or the wide Center halfs are where ball progression is coming from Main ball progression from amam teams come from the back three obviously you’re going to have the midfielders in there who do pick it up between the lines that will happen but the passing progression mainly will be happening from either the wide Center halfs and you’d want it to happen from the center Center back as well but out of possession for sure the still up G but let’s bring you in because this is content we see a lot of on your channel you analyze how teams play how teams break down play in amaron system who would you have presuming it is a back three as your starting back three if everyone was fit I think I think you’ve again I think how it starts and how it um it’s about opportunity I think could affect say Martinez and Luke Shaw I’m sure we’ll talk about I think delit is absolutely the that Center Center back I think it will suit Maguire and Johnny Evans as well because defensively if you’re a little bit um scared of you know people running behind you’ve got two players that you can kind of bring in with you and also it will be in front of that it will be those Wing backs it won’t be turning into a back five out of possession it will be a five in that second line that will go and press so he can then have those two players alongside him and and shouldn’t get done over the the top too much so I think once it’s set in stone a little bit in terms of how they play which again amarim has been really big on players like Maguire players like like Johnny Evans will actually feel quite comfortable in that situation which we’ve seen with Maguire for England England hav was just about to say that should we talk about the wing backs let’s do both the wing backs then left wing back right wing back who have we got this was the one that I wrecked my head about for for so long and is obviously what a lot of people are considering as well the question mainly is and it’s about um James alluded to earlier again about the evolution of the team I did start with n mazwi as the right wing back do I think eventually we will see a Manchester United that has Wingers in those Wing back positions yes I do believe that is the way it evolves and if you look at what how he did at sporting it didn’t start with Wingers being in those positions it started as fullbacks who were playing then he mentioned actually tell me in the interview as well yeah that was a really important interview actually everas if he’d be better suited playing uh fullbacks as Wing backs or Wingers as Wing backs where do you stand on that about how who you think is better suited in this United I the one thing I wonder maybe I’m being cynical is there has to be a few Bluffs being thrown out here but also again in terms of that that group of players that he has a question mark on I think he might in these early weeks give those people an opportunity and see to give them that data to see if they can can do it and then go from from there because I think profile wise you we can look at the players and go you fit you don’t fit but if he doesn’t give those other guys a go he’s going to be in trouble when he gets a couple of um injuries but the wing back position is is an awkward one for sure I think in it’s tough I I played as a Winger Jimbo knows when you get asked to play Wing back it’s very tricky it’s a completely different role have you got Mai on the right who have you got on the left then that is a great question de man James thank you so much smiy you’d be useless in an Amar system he wants to run back my voice I’ve gone for I’ve gone for Luke Shaw as my left wing back this interesting isn’t it because I think we’ve seen from some of the training footage from of what he said yesterday there’s potentially seeing Luke Shaw as that left side of Center back I think the reason he was doing that is because he’s probably the closest profile to alandro Martinez in the squad anyway and the fness as well I think yeah and the fitness because not ready didn’t he and and uh and and this obviously the best team um you mentioned about Fitness probably the best athletes have in the team have to be those Wing backs in terms of how much ground they have to cover something that am’s done um differently T you saw in the training Clips as well made this made the structure quite simple we the straight C we saw aot I just about said do you think that’s an area that United will look to strengthen be in Jan summer the left side 100% And there’s so many options in in in the market we see we’ve already seen links to Alonso Davis early on and you know it’s only beginning of the season but but players like this I think um someone like I Nuri other players are players in this position who are potential specialized Wing backs but Luke sha um Ruben amarim had uh Maximillian Aro and Matias Reese in his in his last team this in in sporting I think Shaw is probably closer to Matias Reese because he’s he was more reliant on creativity it was about how much he can they do stay as Wingers but when you’re there can you create and if we remember it’s a while ago now but the best of Luke Shaw which is a couple of seasons ago maybe under oig Sola in that 1920 season his creativity was ridiculous in that time so if we can have Luke Shaw fit which is a big if and I understand we are looking in the market because we can’t rely on Luke Shaw’s Fitness much longer but that is who I would go for as left do the Midfield to let’s have a look at the pair go you could help out all right let’s have a look at the Midfield to Y I’m guessing I have got um kobby May I’ll put them in and then we talk about them quickly kobby and EM Manuel ugti um ugti is arguably the best winner out of this uh appointment of amim he’s got to be buzzing yeah he’s got to be he’s got he’s got to be buzzing um someone that um public I wasn’t much convinced about as a player and still hasn’t fully won me over I will be honest about Manu agar but him being in this system the knowledge that he has in this system is is is is is vital to the team you’ll see more most times with man united that that double pivot will stay quite close to each other especially off the ball as well didn’t before no no there was there was Canyons of space 42 four and they got to cover so much but they will be quite close in proximity to each other and like I mentioned earlier the ball progression won’t be on them mainly you’ll be on this back line finding the forward players maybe setting these guys to play it to the wing backs and we saw that with casemiro and kobby in the training Clips yeah it’s interesting because casemiro is not in your Midfield to there yeah but has featured start this season and almost the arguments he made from me as a United fan like he’s actually better going forward than going backwards at times we look at Cas dangerous in the bo if we look at Casmir the nature of Casmir as a player even at Real Madrid he was a defensive midfielder was winning challenges was covering a lot of ground for um Cru and Modric but in possession he would stay in around the final third he would find had an eye for goal he would crash the box as an eight basically this season arguably one of the man United’s better midfielders and that’s with agat being next to him covering the ground for him but this pivot I believe is probably the best that we have at the club right now we see the players who around there Cru and modri not not bad yeah yeah yeah they’re all right they’re not too bad number 10 then next 10 they’re two number 10 yeah I’ve gone J Man Bruno Fernandez at the left hand for me and am Dio on the right 10 um just give us the reasons behind uh behind those two yeah uh I think think Bruno Fernandez is is is is uh yeah brilliant I love it in the half spaces they’re in the half spaces I love it but um Bruno Fernandez is is the best player at Manchester United he is I think what we need to do with this system and it’s very very important that we do this is take the burden off him when it comes to creativity there is a lot of burden on Bruno Fernandez’s shoulders at this point in time for to create everything for the team and I’m hoping the system allows for there to be a picture for him that he knows where players are so he doesn’t have to get in the ball everywhere if we look at him under o and even under ten hog towards the end he had the license to pick up up the ball from any player on the pitch and create out of nothing we need to stop that as a club we can’t as good as he is we can’t continue to rely on him this much and put this burden on him as good as he is at creating we look at Amad dialo a lot of different options could be playing in this position rashford could be garnacho could be many other players could be even someone like xery could be found in I wanted to ask Jimbo about Mason Mount he’s a player that’s played 15% of Manchester United Premier League minutes since the start of last season obviously we know he’s had his injuries but it’s interesting listening to Amry in that interview talks a lot about the non-negotiation the work do you think Mason Mount is a player that you might see a lot more game time of under a system like this yeah I totally understand why ABS has not put him in this 11 because when when I was sort of looking at it myself what is important is I think you need you need to have at least two in every position right absolutely but I I do keep looking at Mason Mountain thinking this is this is a great fit here because I think he can take information on board really quickly he’ll kind of do what he’s told and that sounds like it’s not that much of a compliment but I think he’s very smart as as a footballer as well and I think in these spaces having the stamina to press or make underlapping runs which I think with the wing backs if especially if you’ve got Luke Shaw and mrai you’re going to need those underlapping runs at times just to kind of stretch it as well as the the center forward Mason Mount if it he’s absolutely got that in his locker to to do it I I do like amedo as a shout here because I think Marcus Edwards has been great player for for Lisbon and if you watch the sort of goals that he scores and the way that amedo plays as well there’s some really nice stuff there but another option I think is someone that can drive into this corner here so Markus rashford also another good option I think he’s maybe United’s most on form player as well like he he in the last sort of four weeks has had the biggest uptick under Ru vanroy since obviously ericon har left he’s found some genuine form so I can definitely see why the question as to why he wasn’t playing a lot more before but um another thing a quick thing about m m as well is that he could also find himself in in this cobby position in here and I think that’s something that he could do as well where he where where he is all round midfielder all action midfielder can crash the Box arrive late into the box but um let me go to my number nine and this is an interesting one cuz we have spent over 100 million pounds on two two Strikers but I’m not picking either of them you’re not picking and you’re putting him in interestingly as a number nine yes that’s where you see rashford in his best position under em if you were to ask me about rashford’s best position a couple years ago I would say he’s not a number nine he’s a he’s a left Winger and play him only there because I thought he’s back to play when his back his to goal sorry his back to goal play isn’t his best TR trait but in this system the way that amaron wants his nine to play running the channels stretching the fenses finding yourself on one oneon-one positions in front of goal I am one of those United fans who can’t give up on Marcus jimb do well in this system um I I can understand why you would put him there um I think he’s like when I’ve said those those different brackets he’s in the question mark bracket so I think you given him opportunity you sit him down go where do you want to play he goes well I think I’m actually I think I’m a striker maybe goes okay off you go I think that’s I think Rasmus hland is in terms of the work rate you’re going to get in terms of taking players away running channels time after time I believe that you really got to give Rasmus hland because he is absolutely the perfect profile for that position but Marcus rashford maybe if you’ve not got the same kind of speed out wide you need someone with a little bit more trickery to work with these two initially um but it’s for a lot of these players it’s now and never and for M Absol absolutely I think I’ve always loved him with Luke Shaw but I don’t I’m not sure if that totally works here and that would mean Bruno Fernandez maybe coming over to this side okay the last the last one for me yeah just before we wrap this up is is Alejandra who has been you know vital specifically over the last year to how United want to play football he’s a fantastic player gets a lot of stick when he doesn’t deserve it 15 goal involvement since the start of last season so only Bruno Fernandez top scorer this season for Manchester United listen but not in your starting 11 he’s not and I like I mentioned earlier the evolution of the squad could mean that Alejandro gach finds himself maybe as a left wing back could find himself in one of the draw 10 positions 100% he definitely could as of right now do I think that his output is hiding some of weaknesses in his performances if I’m being honest yes I do I do believe that but I also do believe he comes under unnecessary amounts of stick as well but we look at the evolution of gachu as a player started off with someone that was impacting the game coming off the bench and that’s why he was remember him with 49 on his back Sensational G coming off the bench and was impacting games all the time he can still offer something if he doesn’t start and that’s I think something I’m relying upon if I’m he’s not in my starting 11 is that when he comes off the bench we’ll impact games and score those goals that he’s has been doing this season he’ll be played as a left wing back at some point and what people need to get out of their minds is that it’s not really a left wing back it’s actually more so of a left wing I said out of possession you stay in that that Midfield line so even if you think of say like Chelsea two wide players they’re just they’re known as Wingers so you let it go gach has that similar kind of player and the whole point is to give them width so and also the thing to remember is you can have someone a little bit more defensive on the other side which allows you to have a better shape and Luke Shaw and I want him to be fit we all do he’s not going to one be fit all the time or he’s not going to be able to play three games in a week so you’re going to have to try other players there yeah love that interesting debate there there is confirmation of who ABS thinks will be man united starting 11 when everyone’s fit in the new AR system as
