[Music] Mikey tuon here Alumni Stadium BC wraps up the final game of the season big win over pit they go to S and five on the season it’s a big deal 7- five six- six better Bowl spoke to coach O’Brien after the game he’s super happy with getting to the seven wins it meant a lot to him to get to that seven win I mean just from a psychological standpoint as a player 500 okay it’s nice going a ball but you’re 500 seven and five feels a lot more accomplished as for the game today BC takes it 3423 behind again a really efficient effort from Grayson Grayson James who continues to show uh to to reward Bill O’Brien Bill O’Brien’s decision to go with him as he played very clean smart football no turnovers 253 yards in the air 20 of 28 to nine different receivers nine which is great four of the five four of those nine had over 45 yards start of the game being Reed Harris made an acrobatic catch right over there in that end zone beautiful ball thrown by by uh James which was right over the receiver in a place only his receiver could catch it and uh Reed Harris did a great job of staying in bounds they reviewed it it stood on top of that again BC’s rushing game delivered uh the two uh two backs Jordan McDonald and Kyro bash show combined for a total of 128 yards each of them Kai as well as Jordan each had a touchdown again that was it’s been BC’s bread and butter the running game but this was a very balanced attack today with the running and the passing and the clean football as for the defense they looked great as it’s been all season Donovan auraku is just a beast no one can block the guy he’s just coming around the edge with with just such speed such technique and it’s very impressive because you look at his stats from the past from from every year before this year and they they don’t jump you out at you at all and all of a sudden now he’s vaulted himself into a potentially first round pick I asked him in the press conference how he felt about that this is what he said it’s no secret you’re going to be play on Sundays um how exciting of a time is it of the year is it for you right now finishing up on a win now you get to have the charity on top go a bowl yeah and then who knows what what’ll come after yeah just uh honest I’m very I’m very I’m very uh deep into my faith um you know it is all glory to God you know I prayed about this um it’s been a dream of mine since I was 7 years old since I first started playing football um so um it’s hard to it was hard to really stay in the moment instead of you know worrying about you know what’s to come but um starting to starting to really think about it now um and it’s very exciting cuz like I said I’ve been dreaming playing football since I was 7even years old and ever since I I steep foot on the football field I said I want to go play on Sundays so you know uh I just thank God that this is you know it’s it’s starting to come true what a joy like a joyful personality uh Donovan is smiling his face from ear to ear great attitude you can tell his teammates love him everyone it’s it’s impossible not to love the guy I mean he’s just he he just exudes positivity he was super excited Bill O’Brien was very happy in the press conference it meant a lot to get to seven wins you could tell he’s also very excited looking forward to the bows that potentially they may play in he didn’t want to speculate cuz there’s so much that’s wide open right now in the AC C you have you had teams like Syracuse beaten Miami today which again is going to throw more chaos into the college playoff and the ACC rankings so we’ll see what happens we should know in about a week what B BC will be playing in but this was a a great win as for the defense there there was a few standouts obviously Donovan as aaku was one uh but we had a big man touchdown today which we cannot go without without talking about Ty Clemens line really had the BC Sidelines going bananas you don’t often get a big guy touchdown I remember with the Patriots of vinu f he had one it was like the biggest the biggest news or the biggest excitement for the team our guy Tai had one today beautiful pick took it to the house so very complete win this team’s really has really rounded into into shape uh towards this home stretch of the Season till the end today and as a team going into a bowl this is the momentum you want I asked Bill uh in the post game how is he going to keep his guys focused uh seeing as they’re going to have about 3 weeks off and he wasn’t concerned about that at all he said they’re going to stay focused with the weight training the the structured regiment that they have in the system here as well as with classes BC is the one thing that really separates BC from all from all the other big power schools they their student athletes are St student athletes they go to class they do the work they’re intelligent they’re really intelligent guys so he he did not seem too concerned about having a lack of focus spoke to Grayson James uh the one thing that I really took away from the press conference is I I asked him I said you know you came into the season knowing that Thomas castanos was going to be the starter and there really there wasn’t any indications that he was going to give up that starting job especially looking back to last year he had a very solid year took the team to a bowl win Grayson James classy as as they can be he’s a man of of Faith as well deserve a lot of credit uh you started the Year back up to Tommy no one could have foreseen him uh losing his starting job how did you stay focused that whole time and did you ever have visions when you weren’t the starter of of playing in these type of situations no yeah I knew I knew when I come came to BC I knew the situation I was um coming into but you know I’m a man of faith I put all my faith in God I know he had a plan for me and I just trust in that and just put my head down and work you know things will work out how they’re supposed to I was fortunate enough to have this opportunity and I don’t take it for granted at all so all I want to do is go out there and win for this team for my teammates for these coaches who put this you know faith faith in me and I just want to be able to return the favor and let them know they made the right decision from the first time he came in uh against Western Kentucky game to now it’s night and day he looks polished BC’s got to be thrilled for what they’re going to have with him next season uh having this experience under his belt he looks great to wrap things up here BC great win finish the season here at home decent turnout the students are still on Thanksgiving break so it wasn’t as great as it could have been but still the the attendance tonight 29,000 pretty good crowd next time we’ll be uh updating you guys will be once we find out where BC is going to go bowling which will be exciting I’m sure the players are all looking forward to that they’ll have some time off to really soak it in and and get the recharge the batteries and get that ready from Alon I Stadium I’m your man Mikey 2 Guns our bleeping City we will talk to you next time [Music]
