jumps off the page and 14 in the first half you I know you would expected them to be super physical that impacts it some but where did you see most of the turnovers coming from and how how much of a key factor was it they came in a number of ways um some passes that we tried to fit through Tight Windows um never want to inbound the ball to the other team uh after a mfield goal and give up a dunk um some of it you know not holding our positioning and timing our our sort of physicality to get open on Horns I think we had three turnovers just on Horns alone uh yeah I mean killed us we came into tonight talking about the benefits of the rest and the four days off from games how much did you feel that I guess unintended consequences side effects of just Russ came back to ha you guys tonight um I’ll give them some credit credit that’s that’s what they do and um you know not only do they have the physical uh makeup on the perimeter they know that they can be aggressive because then there’s goar behind there um so it’s it’s a lot of it is you know they they’re um their team but overall though we we we’re able to generate some great looks from three um just feels like we were can’t can’t really get into that Rhythm from from behind the ark and you know another another game where we shoot some good threes and just can’t can’t knock them down is is there anything that can can be done about that I mean you’re getting I mean DLo had a a wide open Corner three with a chance to cut it late um I mean Dalton badly missed a a wide open three I mean is there anything that can be done about this or is it simply just keep creating the shots and yeah I think you have to trust the process of running good offense and getting good looks and trust that those shots will in the aggregate go in more the um you you you mentioned their their physicality and and I’ve asked you a bunch about your team’s physicality have you do you feel like you guys have made headways in terms of playing a more physical style particularly on the defensive end some of the guys have yeah some of the guys have um you know overall I really thought that was probably our best defensive game we’ve had all season um you even even when we got stops turnovers you know I don’t know what our it says we were four for six on Fast Break points that’s a lie um we just weren’t able to to convert on the other end but we were able to get stops get a lot of stops um you know Gabe Max um Austin had a great clip at him at halftime I think um their physicality ruy their physicality is is is good right now Lakers Are Back In Action Sunday when they host the Memphis Grizzlies tip off is set for 6:30 our pregame coverage gets started at 5:30 right here on Spectrum Sports at the home of Lakers BK 15 points let’s go inside the Laker locker room he’s with Mike Max before the game JJ had mentioned you know you know how Minnesota plays with the ball pressure and excuse me trying to create turnovers and such did did you feel like like that that still even early in the game kind of got out of hand and why do you feel like it did yeah I mean we had 11 turnovers in the first quarter I think we had 22 in the whole game entirely I had four so that’s way too many for me but yeah I mean that’s what they do that’s their calling cards the defensive end so um I thought we did a really good job defensively and then I think our our turnovers kind of just kept us out of the game a little bit on the offensive end so uh their pressure bothered us a little bit for sure a couple times you got back into the game and the kind of that second unit to start the second quarter uh and the fourth quarter what is you see there and and where do you think it kind of ultimately didn’t sustain um I mean again I think our turnovers were an issue um I think that’s probably just the biggest key to the game for us on the offensive end we only scored 87 points and it’s going to be hard to win any game against any team in you know most prestigious League of BS when we have 22 turnovers in a game 11 in the first quarter dug us into a little bit of a hole so um yeah that’s just kind of the story of the game you can’t have 22 turnovers to another team Minnesota’s really good on the offensive end too so we had to take care of the ball you feel like go ah do you feel like rust played a factor in terms of the turnovers rust oh rust uh I mean not really I mean sure I guess we haven’t played a game in a few days I thought we were pretty well rested I think it showed on the defensive end but yeah I mean you could say rust a little bit and then their pressure you give them credit they did a good job of pressuring us they did a good job of disrupting our Rhythm so the first uh 15 games or so of this season you guys were every night consistently over 110 points you’ve only did them once in the last 10 games um where you is is there still trust in the process offensively in the room is it I guess what do you thinking on that end yeah I mean nobody’s giv up on this team first of all you know as us as a unit JJ said that this morning everybody has belief in us still uh from a coaching staff and I know we have belief in each other so um that’s there for sure but I think offensively for us we acknowledge it too after the game we just got to be better our defense has given us chances to win games every single game we’re in um and so tonight the turnovers was an issue other nights you know it can be other things offensively but um it’s just a little bump in the row that we got to fix you know we got enough guys in this room and enough Firepower to know that we can do 100 110 points a game like you said so it’s just a blip uh for us and we’re not concerned it’s a long season we’re over about a quarter of the way through so we got three fourths still the season to go so we’re not worried we got a lot of time to fix it um and we’re going to be proactive with it for sure thanks appreciate it Christian Koko had three blocks and was a team best plus 12 in 12 minutes he standing by with Mike Christian first of all JJ said that you would had a really kind of vocal and good practice the other day I want to say on Wednesday and he thought that that translated to the game what did you see from that standpoint oh I just feel like you know we we need more communication I think I I talk about it before we went on this trip we need a we need a lot of like talk defensive talk in practice and then just carrying on into the game I think like I think tonight we had a pretty good defensive game I think one of our best game defensive game of the season unfortunately we lost but I think we just got to continue to talk on defens in yeah yeah clearly the rim protection was there for you not just the three blocks but just you know discouraging some shots at The Rim what what were you communicating out to the rest of the defense about kind of being organized oh I mean we just we have a defensive strategy now we just trying to you know do whatever the coaches ask us to do and then me myself just doing my job you know protecting the pan and you know just going to cover up for my my teammates you know whenever it was like a mistake made you know we got to have that cover mentality I think I think we did a pretty good job I think Eddie got a couple blocks to tonight so like I said we had a pretty good defensively but yeah the Fall Away shot falling in on offense right yeah the offense that shots weren’t going down and there were a lot of turnovers so did you do see a commonality between those turnovers especially oh I mean yeah I mean it’s hard to win a basketball game when you have I think we have 22 turnovers so I think that’s one of the reason we kind of lost this game we have a lot of turnovers we got to do a better job you know uh protect we got to do a better job with the ball and then yeah I think if you have like five less turnovers we were having better game you know but that’s the spot of the game we we have another game on Sunday so we just got to go home and put this game in the trash and you know just save what we have to save from this game and then go to the next game you know they had that really tough stretch where they were just gone and then they came home for one and then back out on the road for two it’s it’s not uh it’s not getting easier yet press no it’s NBA is tough didn’t they go to Minnesota preseason uh Milwaukee milwa milwauke preseason yeah that was an interesting one let’s go to Milwaukee for one game and come back and a little soft soft coming up in January a little soft schedule uh it’s either January or February I forget which month one month is a killer month good teams February is a lot of time off Allstar break so there there you go there you go it’ll be kind of like the uh inseason tournament break two games in 10 days yeah yeah tough sleding the head but uh hopefully uh get LeBron back get some health with this team that’s why they get paid at big books that’s why they do ro that good point welcome back to the Lakers news Squad Channel today we’ve got some serious discussions about the Los Angeles Lakers and their recent struggles after yet another humbling defeat this time a 41-point blowout at the hands of the Miami Heat the Lakers are now in the midst of their most disappointing stretch of the Season they’ve lost six of their last eight games and things aren’t looking great for this team but amidst this chaos Lakers Legend James Worthy has something to say that should make every player on this team SI up and listen worthy didn’t hold back during his postgame analysis and his words are absolutely worth discussing after the blowout loss to Miami worthy gave a scathing critique of LeBron James Anthony Davis and the entire Lakers team he said and I quote they need to get on the bus tonight and get some White Castle burgers and drive to Atlanta they need to think about who they are and what they need to do do because what they’re doing right now ain’t even close to Laker basketball not even close now for those of you who might not know White Castle burgers are known for being a quick snack on a road trip what Worthy is implying here is that the team needs to take a step back reflect and really think about what kind of team they want to be this isn’t just about a loss it’s about a complete lack of effort and accountability the Lakers especially their stars have been playing Far Below the standard expected from a team with championship aspirations Worthy’s frustration stems from the fact that the Lakers are not even close to playing Laker basketball for a team that’s supposed to be contending for a title back-to-back blowout losses like this are unacceptable in fact no team with championship aspirations should ever allow themselves to get blown out to this extent and that’s exactly what happened in the Miami game in that 134 to 93 loss the Lakers looked like they had already given up by halftime while LeBron James did his best to provide some leadership scoring 29 Points and showing some fight with an 18-point first half the rest of the team didn’t show up Anthony Davis struggled tremendously failing to have any significant impact on the game and The Supporting Cast didn’t provide much help either this game wasn’t just about one player failing it was a collective collapse the team lacked the necessary effort on both ends of the floor and they were quickly overpowered by the heat the players including the Stars couldn’t execute and as a result the heat took advantage of every opportunity extending their lead and sealing the Lakers fate wory comments are even more telling when you consider the state of the Lakers right now this is a team that started the season with High Hopes aiming for a championship run but they’ve been consistently underperforming the Lakers have talent but they haven’t been able to put it together in recent games the inconsistency is baffling especially given the experience and Leadership of LeBron James and Anthony Davis it’s clear that the Lakers need a serious wakeup call and that’s exactly what James Worthy is providing with his critique but what’s perhaps even more intriguing is Worthy’s take on the ongoing goat debate earlier this week he made some waves when he publicly endorsed his former teammate Kareem Abdul Jabar as the greatest of all time worthy believes that Kareem’s achiev over inor it’s suain welcome legendary colle dominance in the NBA today we’ve got some serious discussions about the Los Angeles Lakers their recent struggles six MVP awards after yet another allar appearan this time a 41 Blowout at the hands ofi the Lakers are now in the midst of their most disting stret 40 years arist Lakers leges on every player on body sit up can’t just judge a player by hold backl and his words truly you need to look at the player entire after blowout lost to Miami stands James incling Davis and the entire this doesn’t mean LeBron is from it of Drive Atlanta but what wor they what they importance considering impact they’ had over the years when you take everything into’s body are known for being a quick snack where does this leave us with the Lakers what Worthy is implying team wants to get back look and really think about they need their team this isn’t just a they need to compl accountability the Lakers staff especially been playing Far Below the standard expected from Team champ the players taking accountability for their action and that in stems from the fact that the Lakers are not even close to playing for team to the occas no ever allow themselves C to they need to exactly what happened in the professionalism that the lers oran3 L the Lakers they had already given up by half time while LeBron Jam to provide some leadership the Lakers aten the rest of LeBron can lead this tremendously or a biger to have any significant imp your thoughts in the comments Bel provide much help either if you’re enjoying the cont forg failing and to subscribe to the channel for more upates eff we got a lot more to discuss as they were quickly overpowered by thanks for tuning in to Lakers players Lakers nation and as
