well there was a lot of good things that happened too the way the game started no I I think we clearly you know we had a plan I think anytime you you know you go into the game and um you know coming off a Monday night game and just the moving parts of who’s playing who’s not playing really went it up till today um you know with with Tyler Smith and some of the guys so um you know obviously we left number guys home and it just really um you know because there was a couple plays early year you called that were’re you know that Brandon Cooks practice this week and so forth so I thought our guy point I’m making I thought our players just did a really good job of staying to the plan you know we wanted to come in here offensively ground and pound and wanted to win you know win the time of possession and you know TR to just really focus on being a favorable down of distance you know we’re able to do that um you know we had the the giveaways that that hurt U because you know we had chances for you know points that we didn’t uh you know did not conclude those drives where we did move the ball well and our defense just you know just kept banging away I thought our defense did a great job you know keeping the score you know in in in that in the range it needed to be in to win the game and really the Special Teams the tail two halves I mean I mean you know you know their special teams made the big plays in the first half ours made him in the second half and then um then we got down to the end there and it was just a game s situational Extravaganza I mean it’s just we we I mean you know it’s like yatsi you know I everything was in there so um just a lot of situational football things to learn from things we work on all the time uh but you still got to execute in those spots so um excellent team win these the way these division games are supposed to go um but um you know it’s just great to see our guys rewarded uh for just staying the course you know just grinding and out so um they they the messaging has been great you know just you know lead going up into it no one’s really blinking uh just with everything going around us so uh feels good to win it’s been a minute Clarence Hill All City Dall you Mich I talked ear in the week he said some on this podcast about we’re a good football team really really talking about the growth of the defense and you talk about the defense talk about the growth of the defense yeah definitely I mean the defense is getting better you know I I just think you know you can just see it uh you know the understanding and all the way around I mean you know the staff you know the staff the players um just you know we had we had some just out of- balanc games I mean and and it’s just good to see where we’ve learned from it uh we’re getting players back I mean it’s great to have donon back today you know so you know he played to his pitch count so that was good to see and you know I think Mike is back you know so um you know full speed and able to play the you know the whole the whole deal there but with the changes in the secondary I thought our coaches and in the secondary guys did a really nice job of rolling you know rolling in there and I me what can you say about Josh Butler come on Hall I mean so these guys have really have earned the opportunity and you you love the reward your young players uh that just continue to work and and not only did they you know have the opportunity but they they made plays so um just once again I I it’s we’re a growing football team you know I think you’re starting to see the benefit of a lot of lot of young players playing early and uh hopefully the fruits of the fruits of those uh those moments are starting to you know come in the play here you know cuz obviously we got a quick one here uh coming up on Thursday I ain’t got nowhere to go and I’m in trouble so I know I can just get them going one way then just spin back the other way a got nowhere to go something nobody ever seen before you take us through the first when you the ball went through and when you went back to pick it up just what was going through your mind at that point oh I really think about just going get down you know um but when I seen U all of them going to the left I just knew I can just know Bry spin move out something nobody ever seen for hopefully I can get them from the back side and know I just slay right through we remember when you came into this franchise you had some excitement with touchdowns in the preseason but the first one in a regular season game what does that what does that moment mean to you man I just feel good man just know I always go out there just know just to compete man just just happy to be out man just doing for this franchise man just just happy always blessed to be here when you think about your story where does this moment fit ah man just long journey but it still continues man it’s a long Marathon but we we still Contin to go man just one day at a time did you feel the momentum s in that moment when you were coming to the sideline celebration did you guys feel that at that point that yeah yeah I thought it iced it man that was the whole thing man I thought I thought the game was over but you know it never open to the fat lady scenes man until hit Z zero man just just glad the way we came out there and compete today about I mean went l half your distance I don’t know if it should be worth the full six points like we no we count say we got to get one in the bag so we we close to 10 so I guess we got seven right now so and his third game as a starter here in 20124 Cooper Rush secured His Highest qbr career-wise as a starter in the NFL throwing for a 117 qbr he finished 24 of 32 passing for 247 yards here’s what he had to say after the win yeah you just got to get that that ball rolling that’s kind of what we talked about that was the messaging all week uh get one get one get one and uh you know especially going into a short week you know you can get two real quick too so you just got to get that one and uh full team effort today as everyone saw and it was uh it was awesome clar L you just talk about the fight in this team you know you’re obviously frustrated with the 5 L stre we talked about the guys on here but continue to fight no one’s giving up no one’s saying what was me yeah you know it was a cool uh bunch of guys getting opportunities show who they are um Kendrick talked about it earlier in the week we find out who’s going to fight and uh I think everyone fought out there today we found out and uh a lot of the young guys stepped up played a lot of ball today and um that was huge it’s important to know that mik M has not lost this team you guys are still believing listening his message and hearing what he’s saying yeah I mean a lot lot of games left you know we’re sitting at 4 and seven and um this is why you play him you just got to get like I said get that first win get get it going get on streak and uh let it rip athletic here’s a look at the offensive stats the Cowboys were just two of 11 on third down but the good thing is is they really weren’t in a ton of late down scenarios they were moving the ball effectively they were balanced on the ground and if you look down there at the bottom that’s what Nate Newton wants to see he wants to see a Balan rushing that was a that was a first one for sure I never been a part of something like that can talk about how you defense just continue to stand tall time and time again over the four quarters especially in that fourth quarter need takeway yeah we did a great job I just wish we finish back at the end you know I letting them get that touchdown at the end that that really uh bothered me but that’s what I mean when I say we’re a good team we’re we’re slowly putting games together this time we did all three quarters I would just like this to finish better in the fourth quarter but we’re definitely on our way to being the team that we want to be abouts the kick they miss extra point though after that going from that low to that high yeah I mean obviously you feel good cuz obviously you’re in the position to win the game if you get another stop but the point is you shouldn’t even get there like that’s the reality we shouldn’t even get to hoping that they miss a field goal we block a field goal like we should be be able to end the game on defense get off and we take a knee down not all the kick returns and extra points and all that nonsense like we should be able to end the game um and we what we had him 13 points in the last 10 points in the last you know four minutes game so that that part really bothers me we got to do a better job finishing um just playing high but you know overall I thought we had a great day Michel you talked about being in a dark place this losing streak what is the feeling of ending this obviously ending the losing streak is good but it’s like what are you going to do the next couple weeks right you could do it one time but with with his greatness consistency so I like is to go against do it against the Giants get a win there and
