I’m out for the rest of the year for real no you’re not right here what happened what happened toward my uh my tricep oh really yeah I got chip uh I got hit in my elbow toward my uh toward my uh tricep but man hey like I told the boys man we got the mission the mission still the mission you know uh we pour everything we can into this game you know if I said I trust God I trust God so man I’m just enjoying myself I’m about to enjoy this little rehab and then I’m about to enjoy leading the team you know the rest of the year um soon as I can be back out there I’m going be out there but uh man boy boy heck man we was having fun out there and we still going to have fun but uh yeah I’m definitely uh as a player uh I’m out for the year have you thought about next year yet H have you thought about next year yet whether you come back and play man just trying to just trying to process everything right now I ain’t got that far but uh you know what I’m going to keep my spirits up keep enjoying it man cuz got a special team right now and it’s time for some people to step on step on up you know but um I’m I’m I’m happy just where we at I’m happy as a team and if anything if I was going to go out I’m happy with the way you know I played today um and you know I couldn’t ask for nothing else man with this team that we got we just got to stay focused and and I’m going to make sure that as far as you know uh me as a leader I’m going to make sure uh my my presence felt as far as that part so I have a conversation with Jaylen as I guess the news kind of came in what was he saying toage you know what we just uh we just said a prayer before we uh before I got off the field and you know what is this like hey at the end of the day you know um if I had to go out like this hey I’m I love the way you know I gave it everything on out there on the field and uh all I know is you know they Ain they ain’t done with me yet so I’m make sure I get out there and uh just be the best leader I can be like I always do keep bringing the energy and let people know how lucky they is that I am out how much harder does it make because I know I I’m in I’m in such a good shape right now so it it it hurt it definitely hurt but like I say if I trust God got a plan for me man I’m just hey I’m content where I’m at I know that me the guys still need me as far as you know just making sure that I’m watching them telling them stuff you know little little stuff I see on the sideline and man I’m just I’m be the best leader I could be cuz I’m committed you know I’m I’m all the way all the way in and you know we got something special here man and we got to keep building and we ain’t done nothing yet you mentioned that you mentioned you were happy with the way you were playing today it seems like this was one of the better games for the season is that true and yeah I mean I got to say it was man cuz I was just on I was just feeling good you know ha they had to go like this but hey at the end of the to day man I I don’t have no regrets man I really put it all put it all you know today like I do every week and you know we just going to uh we going to see where we go from here man but um I’m hoping we holding that trophy regardless uh in the end and like I said I’m I’mma do my part as far as a captain you know and uh and you know the mission is still the mission and I’m still going to be me still going to have fun still going to talk my stuff like I say people lucky I’m done but but but they better know somebody coming right behind me um I just it was a pass play the running back came and and Chi me right on like right here on my on my arm and I thought it was just like you know cuz I would been dealing with my tricep anyway just from like you know just from pushing people you know you get a little tendonitis but this time it was different like you know he hit me and it was stung a little longer and then when they tried to examine me I knew someone right and um he told me and you know I just tried to process it out there and then end up leaving off you know call my wife and you know just let her know the news and you know kids crying but it’s like look at the end of the day man we just it is what it is no sense of crying about it just got to know that I put everything into it it hurt but I’m telling you like I’mma be better from it what’s the overon pray for you brother straight up but what’s the motivation man to get back the year 16 you’re going to have the guys this year to us what’s the mental motivation to get back for your 16 back 100 you know what I I don’t I don’t want to go out like this but if it’s pointing towards that hey we’ll see we’ll see uh I don’t know what the team going to be feeling at that time but I mean I know for me I don’t want to go out like this you know I definitely want to be able to you know finish a whole season before I’m done but uh that ain’t in the cars I’m I’m I’m content where I’m at too you know so I’m I’m just not there yet uh I’m like let’s finish this and then let me see how rehab going and then you know we we we go from there but uh I know me and my teammates we done talk and I told them you know some of them like hey if I can make it happen I definitely want to make it happen but if not I’m cool too cuz uh I’m going to be around the building anyway um just even for next year if they whatever position they want to have me at but I just want to be able to you know just give them that that mental that mental toughness that they got to continue to have in this man because stuff gonna happen and it’s how you deal with it and so uh I’m just I’m just dealing just dealing right now how are you able to stay so how we able to stay so positive right now you know what because it’s it’s always better days ahead and I can see it uh but right now man I get to spend some time with the fam at the end of the day I mean I always do but now it’s even more and so that’s always something that can help me get through uh them tough times cuz I mean all they want is just me and they just want me to be present in the moment and so I’m I’m going to be that and like I can’t tell people to be like a certain way and then when it’s my turn to be like that I got to be like that and so uh I tell guys all the time that go out man we praying for you we doing this but I’m doing this I’m taking my own advice and making sure I’m having the best attitude I can have I’m sure you know I’m going cry about it but it ain’t going to be too long and then I’m going move on to the all right how can I help my team uh from the sidelines and that’s the that’s the biggest thing I can do assum assuming you had a conversations assuming you had conversations with Jeffrey Lor or how I guess what were those conversations like after the you know just everybody was just sorry it happened we gave some hugs talked about it for a second but you know like I told him I ain’t done got to give these boys everything I got and you know at the end of the day you know the mission still the mission and so let’s go to get it how good how good is this team as good as we want to be we got to stay we can’t we can’t just mention you been with him for a long time first off what’s the reaction but then to see how positive he is how kind of you know when BG TOS Achilles uh you know he was in the same mood I promised he’s going to come back and and uh be better than what he was and he did um but you know for me I’m devastated for him because uh you know he’s probably one of the best leaders I’ve been around just uh not only how he plays but how he um mentors the young guys um you know on and off the field he’s uh you know kind of like a father figure to a lot of these guys um and a guy that you know I think that his story just um screams perseverance and and resiliency uh just with everything he’s overcome so um you know especially the year he’s having uh you know people thought a farewell a farewell tour um was just you know us tipping our hats on him but hey guy can play football he played at a very high level so um you know I’m hurting for him I love him um and really having terrific game today you know he’s just really um a dynamic guy but he’s in a positive spirit man he’s uh you know he’s going to be there with us um but at the end day man it’s it’s hard to replace a guy like that did they were they doing anything to try and stop their Run Access uh yeah um I knew they were going to roam 97 around they were trying to uh do half techniques to where you know they’re throwing off the combo block so you know as we progress and face more teams we’re going to see more stuff to you know try to try to stop it and you know with the Run game sometimes it’s not uh perfect early takes a little bit to get in the Rhythm but you know once we started getting a hat on the hat you found saquon found some creases and and uh yeah man he’s just just a dynamic running back so 97 was lined up over the middle first run did you guys know coming yeah yeah yeah I mean they they they uh did that a lot in in previous games started roaming him around usually plays outside line backer they put him inside um and try to um you know slant uh the posing three so basically try to throw you off your combination blocks mess up your points and so um come coming in here that’s that’s what we were expecting so I mean the formula seems like even when teams are trying to stop it oh yeah yeah I mean it’s uh it works until it doesn’t so I mean every week’s a challenge uh you know we know um you know playing against teams coming up that you know they have really good defense so uh it’s going to be a challenge uh they’re going to try to stop it um that’s really it so I mean we know what’s up ahead we’re happy with the day but um you know we don’t want to repeat last year either you know I I want guys to remember you know what wins games and that’s practicing office details and meetings uh and all your habits that’s what carries over the suay lane at this point do you think Shan deserves to be in the MVP race hell I don’t know why he wouldn’t be uh you know he’s I think everybody’s known what type of player he he he is uh you know he’s had some ups and downs in his career but I think you know now he’s having a a real year where people can really see what type of talent you know that he carries and know guy that size that can do that it’s uh it’s fun blocking for him I’ll tell you that so but you know he’s a great teammate you know he’s been like that since dayve one um you know so you know he brings a lot to the table you ever seen a game like that before I’ve seen some big games but uh yeah man it just seems like he kept hitting home run after home run like I said um you know early the first couple series were trying to get our points and um you know we had some had some some blocks get away from us but um you know once we started getting a hat on a hat uh he’s pretty good at find increases so and we stay consistent with it you know and when you run the ball the way we’re doing and you do play action it really puts the defense in the B they can’t you know they don’t know if it’s run or pass instead of just sitting back dropping back so um you know different style than maybe we we’ve been in the past but um you know I really enjoy it you said you want to avoid what happened last year you guys can run the ball like that by defense way you are yeah is that does that work in December and January yeah it should like I said you know uh we got some great teams coming up Ravens you know I think it’s very similar type of team to us uh physical so uh yeah we’re going to see different wrinkles uh different teams trying to throw different schemes at us so and that’s what we got to get ready for so U you know coming up today do you kind of feel it a wearing down the opposing defense yeah you can definitely feel it wearing down on opposing defense they yeah you can yeah you can it’s it’s actually fun when you run the ball like that because you can feel the defense giving up slowly so it’s actually a fun feeling uh anything Jak want to do with this point surprise you every game he surprises me like it’s he get a little bit of space he’s gone so I mean just everything he does just surprising me I’m I’m a I’m a fan out there so like I’m just out there in awe whenever he does something do you think he should be in contention for the MVP uh I mean it would feel it would feel nice for us to you know have an MVP running back but you know we we can’t make that decision we we just sit there and play ball so I I don’t really want to dive deep into that so uh what’s it feel like when when they’re trying to do everything they can to stop it and and they just can’t oh it’s it’s a great feeling cuz you you just know you breaking the will of another man like he he can’t it’s yeah it’s just like it’s like when you know something is coming you can’t stop it it’s a great feeling he’s been here for years man he’s an integral part of this defense he’s an integral part of his team so um when you got a guy like that man just drop down and you know go out of course his pres is still going to be there just doesn’t feel the same when he’s not on the field with you he’s not you know going out there he not it’s just a little it’s sad and it’s unfortunate just the way he going out you know we don’t want him to be here we go on this run but uh you know we just got to make sure that we do it for him and uh you know we’re going to do it for him at one point they put a St up on the TV broadcast that J Carter was getting double team like 80% of the time in a lot how is he handling that just handling it man he’s been used to it he’s getting used to it um and we just had to make sure that we do our part and you know and uh we get that free opportunity we have to go make it and retake it and I think uh you know Milton definitely tonight he definitely got there and I’m so proud of him and um it’s just the communication that we have on defensive line like every time we come out for the series we be like all right who got four hands on this time what’s going on what should we do should we work a game should we do this should we do that and um you know it’s just the adjustment that we have to make throughout the game but um you know we just had to make adjustments that’s all the game is just making adjustments you know better than anybody especially the team what what has allowed him to take it to another year these last few months I mean just the drive the hunger the work eff that we put in as defense line um we know it’s a standard that we have to play to we have to uphold and um you know we do our part you know the sky is limit especially for this defense and this defense plays comp complimentary football um you know it starts with the line then the line in the BBS and um you know we just have to make sure that we all do our part on each part of the each part of the field how much does it mean to you guys obviously Brandon will be playing but he’s already so positive and talking about being there for you guys way definitely man and um you know that I expect nothing less from him you know he’s uh he’s he’s going to be there he’s going to make it his point to be there every step of the way no matter where he is no matter where we are um so I know um I know BG is going to be there it’s unfortunate that it happened um you know who knows what you know when the next time he’s GNA play if this is the last time he’s gonna play which is crazy to think about because you know he’s already in what year 15 like you know I hope that this isn’t his last time playing but you know sometimes we might have to deal with the fact that it might be but at the end of the day we know he’s going to be there he’s going to be dropping gems like he always does and um you know he’s going to be there every step of the way so I’m not really worried about you know his presence not being felt on the defense because he’s always going to be there his presence is always going to be felt but it’s just the fact that he’s just not f with us it’s just it’s just very unfortunate it makes us you know it hurts a little bit it just hurts you know we hate to see our brother go out like that any player doesn’t matter if it’s uh offense or defense it doesn’t matter we hate to see a player go out like that uh do you find yourself watching the offense a little bit more when saquon’s playing like that just peeking out and seeing what he’s doing yeah man you know we all try to you know stay in tune and um you know just try to play as a team you know offense compliments defense defense compliments offense but s had an outstanding performance tonight and you know I’m just grateful that he’s on our team I’m grateful that he’s running the ball for us franchise record man that’s like that’s crazy to think like all those years of great running backs being here and uh for him to have a franchise record tonight just on the ground man this guy’s a limit for him and I’m glad he’s with us apprciate when you guys are running the way you’re running what does it feel like to know that the defense just kind of can’t stop it uh yeah obviously we got a lot of special players on this team uh the up front the o line they do a tremendous job uh anytime we get a run the ball they love it so uh being an extent to that is pretty cool um Grant CJ blocked really well today as well uh but for someone to have 255 or what whatever he had on the ground is incredible uh it’s it’s a lot of fun and uh you just keep grinding because you never know when the big one’s going to pop do you think you should be in contention to win the MVP uh MVP I know he uh we got a lot of great players on this team but he’s up there for uh most valuable on our team uh he makes special plays Non-Stop makes everybody’s job easier um you know that’s I don’t get to vote but if I was Voting I’d vote for him what’s the vibe in the room right now with the seven game win hisory uh you know kind of what coach said uh you know we’ve won a lot of games the last few years and haven’t done the big deal so uh you know we got to keep our head down uh coach said you know we haven’t really accomplished anything this year you know there’s a lot of season left so we just got to keep our head down keep working uh you know I think we can keep climbing we can even be better than we were today so uh uh it just that mentality the rest of the way what was your Vantage Point on the pair of explosive touchdown runs from saquon and like what is going through your head in that yeah uh you know I’m I’m blocking my guy and next thing you know all of the perfs I see saquan going so i’ let go of my guy and just watch because you never know what he’s going to do it’s always going to be special and uh having a front row seat to is pretty sweet for ran what was working today um you know uh we do a really good job in halftime of adjusting um you there’s some runs early in early in the game that felt like it was there and you know I got tripped up but our old line is super smart and super versatile and when you have that um you know they can block any scheme up you can see that defenses are doing a lot of Dangs different to make sure that you know our Run game don’t get going but they put themselves at risk also so um just kep trusting the system and God to make some some big runs today how much do you appreciate the play calling that you guys stick with the Run even if it’s not like picking up big yards yeah it’s great man um it’s that’s that’s football you know you wish every runs a seven yard pop and 10 yard pop but it’s not like that every time um you got to stick with it you got to grind it out you got to get a feel be able to get the Rhythm um and you know been able to get a rhythm a great rhythm with the the guys up front um in recent weeks can you take us into the ex and those a little bit on the the home run the two home run touchdowns yeah um yeah uh one was the outside Zone concept or M Zone whatever you want to call it um just trust it the first one cut um saw CV’s block and kind of make a dead leg and was able to get outside and score um the other one I thought we could have hit was counter I thought we could have hit the first time my shoe kind of came off and I got tackled and I was coming back in the game and I asked for it one more time and I was talking to Jay and I was like this thing’s going to pop and you got trust in that play trust Grant uh um because you know I follow him and he did a really good job of pulling and set the block for me and I was able to you know rip it and um hit a home run the two big ones any bigger holes you’ve ever seen in your life though no I mean these guys here are amazing uh they make my job a lot easier um you know I’m probably going to get a lot of credit and you know everyone’s going to say this and say that but in reality the beauty of this game is um it’s a team game and my favorite quote that Nick always say you can’t be great without the it’s hard to be great without the greatness of others and uh those guys and the tight ends and wide receiv receivers blocking down the field um are super amazing are you aware are you aware like as the game is going on that you know you’re closing in not only on your season single season rushing record but also the Eagles for like a single game record I’m not going to lie uh I looked up and I saw I was at 173 and I said ah wish I never saw that um and it it worked uh but like again I’m a big believer and um if it happens it happens let it come to you um it was 4 minute we was trying to put the game away um you know so yeah I did look up one time to see a replay of the run and I saw that where I was at and I literally said to myself I wish I never saw that cuz you know you don’t want the that’s just the devil talking that’s just how I look at it so uh just kept my head down and just kept trusting the system and we popped along as confident as you were back in March back in August is this better than you expected um yeah uh to be honest I’m not surprised uh you know I didn’t know you know I would have this much success and I ke keep thinking that God’s been busting me a lot um ton to be honest but uh yeah I’m thankful to be here I’m thankful for the Fresh Start um a big reason why I wanted to come here um me and my family and know my fiance had conversation with I feel like I think this is a spot where I can you know kind of rewrite my story and feel like I can show every one the type of player that I feel like I can be and was meant to be um and you know it’s working out right now but the beauty of it is the NFL week to week and know you know we’re hot right now but just got to get ready for the next week and keep moving but is there a championship vibe in this room right now though I’ve never been one so I I don’t I don’t really know what that feels like uh I got the I guess that’s a blessing the skies but you know we have a great group of guys here um and we have guys that that played in the Super Bowl um that woned BG and Lane and you know a couple guys that played in in in 2020 2022 um we’re not even worried about that to be honest we’re not even focused on that that’s so far ahead of us um and you can’t you can’t you can’t get caught in that you got to get caught you got to get locked into to how consistent can we be and um taking a week week at a time Friday you weren’t ready for the MVP conversation at what point you start thinking like that uh we’ll start thinking about that when the season’s over um I’m not really you know I I don’t I love being in that conversation um it’s cool and all but like I said it’s a team sport and if you tell me that I can have the year I’m having and win MVP but not win a Super Bowl or I can have the year I’m having and not win MVP or offensive play the year and win a Super Bowl I’m going take the other one you mention reting story what does that story say right now um still going uh still going take it one day at a time be consistent that was my whole you know whole Mantra of this offseason and this season how consistent I can be dayto day um and you know whether I rush for 25050 yards or I rush for 50 yards you know still coming on Monday do the same thing still have my routine on Tuesday Wednesday etc etc etc um and you know that’s something that’s my trainer Ryan FL challenged me basically my mentor challenged me to do um and he’s been blessed and fortunate enough to be with a lot of greats and Serena and the Kobes of the world and um I’ll be a fool not to listen to him so um my story is it’s not finished and it’s going to keep going and you know uh when The Season’s all said and done we’ll look back and smile and you know be happy with the things that I did or things I didn’t do but right now we just get ready for on this flight get some good sleep get rest and recover and um get get money and try to get a little LIF in and massage I get your thoughts on Brandon Graham he announced us that um that sucks uh but yeah BG is I’ve only been able to BU be his teammate for such a you know short period of time but I feel like I’ve known him for my whole life and he’s been he’s he’s the reason why this transition for me been so easy him along with a all other guys but uh it’s it’s cool to have a vet like that and be able to talk to him about anything um I remember OT sitting in the sign with him and we just talking about life and getting to know each other but the energy and the passion that he brings not only to this team but to to the city um and he he he’s he’s he he epitomized would to be a philadel be a Philadelphia Eagle and all of us got to get in line and try to follow and do what accomplish the things that he accomplished but one thing we know about BG he’s going to come work still with a smile on his face um and on those Sundays when we’re walking that when we’re walking by or that team walking by he’s still going to talk crap to the guy so uh he’s the leader of this team and um you know we’re going to Rally behind him and uh have his back as as much as two long runs obviously will being talked about and everything um you had also like a screen pass that you took for 31 yards at uh and then Kenny kind of finished that off like what does that sequence mean to you I mean you know you catch that pass and make things happen and Kenny finishing it off yeah um I had a screen pass earlier that should went big too and I fell um but did a really good job they gave us a overlo look we knew that 56 was going to play me man Lon you know Ling kind of key on that obviously although the guys getting down the field but Landon got to block him off and for me to be able to get the ball and uh he cut him off and we were able to get down the field make a big play explosive play um and the beauty of it like having Kenny and will I trust both of those guys and Coach them all coach Singleton trust both those guys and we all trust those guys and they work super hard and um I I believe Kenny is a starting running back in this league uh you know I tell them all the time I know his secret uh he’s he’s he’s a lot stronger than what people think so when you go against him you don’t really think he you see him more of a smaller back but he squats just like me he lives just like me so I know it’s secret um so um you know I got I got to scoop on with him but I think he’s a tremendous back and I learned from him and I love being able to have a guy that you know if I break a la with I can come out and not have any wor and I know he get the job done and he’s done that multiple times this year how much do you think about the fact that there’s a lot of elite backs in NFL history that didn’t have the same Supporting Cast where they’re able to like maximize all their their skill set um and sort of the fortune that that you’re in that yeah um that’s that’s definitely true um I’m just thankful that you know I was able to do that I’m able to get to a place where um you know me and my family’s happy the organization top the Bottom’s amazing um and I’m surrounding around great players and you know I don’t want to be lost in that so uh I wanted to elevate my play CU I I keep saying I can’t be sitting here watching how great Lane is and watching how great AJ is and J I want to be along with those guys making plays and do something special here that’s not me Dallas try to put PL in me that’s a joke yeah I’ve been drug tested enough so hopefully I get away from com a little bit so 302 is that going to mean something special for the rest of your life the total amount of yards in this game I did not know that uh 302 um not too bad huh yeah not too shabby uh nah um it’s cool I don’t think this the first time I ever had 300 yards in my life it is it is you’re the person history I ain’t doing New York against Washington there you go so yeah I mean being that’s that’s big uh but like I said um we can’t do it alone um I’m surrounded by great players and uh if you look at every single play that I made today um you can see so many other players going above and beyond for me
