did this a game you have two back quarters you guys a way to get it done yeah first uh thank you but um we we knew that even you know going out with our with Kenny um and obviously Terry came into play that it’s going to take all of us um you can’t be great without the greatness of others um we kept repeatedly say that and saying that this week and it held true out there um you know we leaning on each other stuck to the game plan and got things rolling most importantly got the win what’s the 2000 yard mark mean to you um yeah I’m not going to lie just you know being a a fan of the the game and the running back position uh to know reach a a milestone and put myself up there with eight other backs that I respect and know some of them I grew up watching um definitely means a lot but at the same time I wouldn’t be able to do that with um this team um and like I said you can’t be great while the greatness of others and I’m just happy I was able to you know be a part of the team and be able to reach a milestone like that record um yeah uh you know the the way I look at it if it’s if it’s in God’s plan then it is if you know um I’m not you know overly trying to go get it I’m not scared of it like I would love to but at the end of the day you know also we got bigger things that we’re focusing on and we’re able to clinch the clinch the uh division right here um and you know whether it’s we play next week or or not and rest I’m fine with that too cuz I didn’t come here and sign here just to you know frush with 2000 or break a record um I want to do something special um and meaning special with the team how you handle that long time short you know coach probably ask you know what your thoughts are on it it’s it’s I mean it’s up to Nick to be honest and you know whatever his decision is I’m all for it if if you know his mindset is you know we’ll go out there and try it and I’ll go out there and try it but his mindset is let’s rest and get ready for you know this run then I’m all for that too um and you know I’m not just saying that cuz a camera’s in my face or a mic’s in my face I really mean that um I I came here to do something special and obviously breaking a record special but uh I I want I want to be part of I want a banner up there and I think we all do but we gave oursel a chance with that and um you know clinching the playoffs before now with the division and you know like I said now it’s up to to Nick and see see what his game see what his mindset is you’ve talked a lot about how you have to manage you know the workload throughout this season do how beneficial would you think resting next week would be do you feel like you need yeah I mean it’s not going to hurt um but at the same time it’s not like rest you know you still got to stay active with your body um if it’s the route that we go I’m not saying you know I’m not saying that’s what we’re doing but uh at the same time still stay consistent that’s been my whole message this whole year is being consistent um you know rushing for 2,000 yards and the success I’ve had is not accident um there’s a reason why um and I’m going continue continue to stay on that script and continue to stay on that schedule and stay locked in into that that mindset and um get ready for whatever comes up next can you kind of what’s it feel like I can’t hear you you had not won an nfc’s title yeah um yeah it’s cool I’m not going to downplay it but like I said at the end of the day um you know you know you’re not get remembered for being a 2024 nfc’s division champs um I’m happy it’s my first hat and t-shirt game I didn’t even know it was a thing to be honest so I’m happy to be of that and we did as a team but we all know what the goal is what what was the difference in the second half like up until the last minute of the first half I think you only had like 25 yards on yeah let’s let’s just uh say you know in pregame one of my good friends I’m not going to mention names and you’re going to have to break that record next week um so it’s you know it’s it’s a everyone’s aware um what we’re able to do what we’re what we’re close to doing uh so you could definitely say the mindset was not letting letting that happened but um with that being said I think everybody else stepped up and made the plays what we needed to do and you know once we were able to throw the ball a little bit um we we get the Run game going and um we also didn’t go away from it they gave me a chance to to get the 2000 and also apprecia appreciative of that too record record or no record can you sum up how special this year has been for you it’s been it’s been phenomenal um you know it it puts a smile on my face and when you know you’re in free agency or where I was however many months ago you know kind of in the dark you don’t know what’s going to happen you don’t know where you’re going to be um everything’s kind of up in the air uh but after having that conversation you know with Anna and my family and my friends you know we felt that this would be the best place for me and one thing that we wanted to do was also be part of a great team but you know I felt like there was still out there that I could do for my my legacy and for my name and um you know have accomplishing a milestone like that definitely add to that was 20 201 I’m guessing you guys are going to ask the same question was 2 a goal of yours this year or something you thought was possible going into the year yeah you never go into it uh with with 2000 on your mind for me uh my 2000 mindset would be more allpurpose uh because how I was kind of used you know in college and coming into the league uh catching the ball a little bit more uh but when you got uh AJ Brown and Dallas G and Grant and Smitty you know you you really don’t have to catch the ball that much here um you just got to be able to run the rock uh but it definitely came in you know a thought when probably when the conversations started coming around I was like oh wow like this something I really can accomplish and uh you know the old line was all about it too and they and they wanted to do it how the how did the conversation go today that four was it let’s Squan right Squan left is that that’s what that series was going to be whoa damn um I wouldn’t that was crazy uh I wouldn’t say that but uh you know we definitely knew what the number was was to at least get to the 2000 um and you know we we we we weren’t leaving this field without at least do accomplishing that and uh that’s not the words from me that’s the words from the guys up front so that means a lot to me and you know when you see that and you know those guys are like this Mo effort needs this to get it let’s go get it you know puts a little pressure on you too but at the same time it’s pressure that you want for you to do 16 games um I don’t know uh it’s great to be able to doing 16 games but I I’m I don’t really believe in you know say if I play next week and if I break Ed’s record uh which one would be phenomenal but I’m not into like the oh if you do it in 17 or 16 games um you know I’m a I’m a fan of position uh if that’s the case then OJ got the record OJ did in 14 games I know you know we really don’t speak about that but in reality he rushed for 2014 games um Ed it took him 15 to do it so if anything if it’s like why are we even having the conversation or if you’re trying to get Ed’s record if that’s a conversation it should be well you got to do it in 14 and the way football it is right now it’s kind of hard to rush for 2,000 yards and um 14 games so whether it’s 16 whether it’s 17 um it’s a feat that you know you can never take away from what I was able to do with the o line and you know only eight other players did it so uh it’s a special moment what about the moment where you did break the record call moment your te um yeah I did know I I broke it on that run um I’m not going to lie um but it was just it was just special that the fact that you know going out there and you knew what you needed and then it’s like you know you’re like your mind you’re like all right damn like I want to get this but then when you look up and you’re in a huddle and you got Lane saying let’s go get this for this mother effort like that’s like you’re like wow and it just goes to show you that you know what’s this team all about and you know we all want to see each other shine and Thrive and you know I can’t do it I can’t those 2,000 yards I can’t do it without those guys up front and um definitely you know might hurt my pockets a little bit but I’m definitely going to make sure I take care of those guys said that he doesn’t want you to break yeah record what’s your kind of respon I don’t think uh if you had a record would you want me to break your record you know what I mean uh I don’t look at it that way uh I’ve been I haven’t you know broke records uh on I guess I have this year technically um with like the eagles franchise but so if 10 years from now or next year three years however long when I’m done playing football um if a back is able to you know beat my Eagles franchise record or say if I did break Ed record you know I kind of go ahead and get it it’s fun you know you want to be that it’s honor to be able to have that name and uh have your name attached to that record um and having guys chasing it guys been chasing that record for 40 years um so yeah I don’t I don’t see it as like a shot I don’t see it as you know Throwing Shade you shouldn’t want me to break your record um but you know that’s how I look at it thank you guys
