[Music] right we’re here with Richard luffman head of Welles City in the somerset Premier Cup and we’re going to start off with a few fans questions if that’s right lers you know just to make it a bit different um the first question that’s come up is Will Tom Smith stay as Captain now that Nick Grimes is back yeah absolutely um no change on on that front smudge was brought in to be the captain of the football club he’s done a a tremendous job in that um clearly we we felt that we wanted to add some more leaders to the dressing room um and and Nick will obviously provide that for us and it was been a brilliant captain of the football club in the past but Nick um Nick wouldn’t want to take the captaincy away from from Spa he you know that was never never ever muted as a as part of the the conversation of him coming back um but you know having having those two and Eddie Jones and Jake hodon and you know the more leaders you got in the dressing room uh when it’s player Le it’s a lot lot easier um so yeah smudges smudge will remain next there’s a lot of questions about sort of a striker what’s your thoughts on sort of that sort of position we we’ve made a lot a lot of signings like I think again I sometimes people probably forget because of how well we started the season with the unbeaten run that we had and how far we got in the FA Cup just how difficult this was I mean when when I took the job on I there was a lot of supporters worried about our status as a southern Premier League club like with the the sheer volume of turnover of players um have we got the center forward bit right um probably not probably not um are we happy with where we’re at with it again probably not um you know I think Tom’s a a tremendous footballer and sometimes in certain games having him as a falce line has been absolutely brilliant we’ve got them on the ball loads against teams that sitting a bit deeper sometimes he’s he’s starved of the football um you know I think the teams that that that we need a center forward for was was Saturday was an example of that we we we’re constantly looking I think we’ve we’ve done brilliant work Josh in terms of getting this team together and you look at the the recruitment that we’ve done with with Josh G and Nick rmes um Josh hours and then all of the players you know that have signed in season as well you jayen nielson’s and ACA cor the squads come on loads um we haven’t got the seter forward bit right um you know we signed Arie Ferris and Dave darw in the summer um neither of those broke into the 11 frequently enough and Archie made it abundantly clear that he he wanted to move on to play regular first team football um so he’s doing that with f and and Dave we felt that we weren’t probably getting Dave the the exposure to the team that he needed to to improve um and he’s gone back to cribs and he scored goals at the level below but probably was wasn’t ready to be our number nine so conversations are being had um seven days are going in you know all of those bits in the background that the supporters wouldn’t know about um but we’ve got to make sure it’s the right one um and let just really really being transparent with the eighth or eighth top goal scorers in the division like goals hasn’t been our problem giving them away at the other end has um so you know we think we can win games in the interim until we’ve identified the right one um but we got to stop shifting soft goals and and when the right one becomes available we we we’ll be in a position to go and get them what’s your favorite fish and chip order fish and chip um I look like I probably eat a lot of fish and chips to be fair don’t but um not not not a frequent visitor to fish and chip shot I guess curry sauce chips and and a sa sausage batt probably there we have good order that one um and then we’re just going to go for one more if that’s right with you from the fan yeah no problem and that one would be you’re a hardworking person what when you do get time to switch off what do you enjoy to do um well I’m a family man at heart Josh so that you know when I’m not when I’m not involved in managing this football club which feels that every minute sometimes um and running my business then the rest of my time I spent with my my family I’ve got two young boys a seveny old and a and an eight-month old um Archie and Alfie um so spending time with those and my my wonderful wife Rachel and that is uh you know normally between the two of us we’re we’re running Archie off to football camps or football training sessions um or or playing toys on the carpet with the uh with with little Alfie so yeah not not a shedload of um free time we’ve got a Christmas party um the football boys that will go out in sampton in December so that’ll be my first night out in a while um which I’m looking forward to yeah know any bit of time that I get away from footballs with uh with the family then look at more to Wells on Tuesday um how serious are we taking this competition well I think we want to with the reigning holders uh the reigning Champions or you know we we won that in my first competitive game which is a bit surreal um I think the competition’s a bit more um a bit more difficult to win this year you look at the draw that we’ve got if we get through the Wales game um we go to either YoVille or or Weston um so we want to win every single game of football that we’re we’re involved in um and we haven’t got you know a huge squads of 30 players or 25 players where you can rotate so um we’re going to be playing a very strong team tomorrow night uh one or two you know I think Harris felt um our win record with him and the team’s very high um and he probably needs an opportunity so he will get a start tomorrow um I think Jack Matthews who’s been a brilliant loan signing for us and and I got that wrong Saturday should have started the game of football Saturday um so he will come in and start and and he will look to to try and grab the shirt now I think we’ve made the decision that you know Toby was struggling with certain bits of the travel um so we got Jack um Oly woodh house and and Nick Grimes obviously com in so we we’re really blessed with fre top Center RS and ‘s a little bit further away in terms of starting so Jack will get a good opportunity to come in and play and we’ll really really happy with him um but and Matt Spiller obviously come on and made his debut at Dorchester will play but then it’ll be your usual faces Josh you know Tom Smith Owen brain um Alfie Moren Jaden Nielson ASA corri J Mo shanki will come in and start but all of those are in the squads um and and the other famous uh Lloyd Irish will get closer to his 400th game for the club so he will start in place of Josh G tomorrow again we we we don’t run with necessarily like a backup goalkeeper every week so um we’ve given the opportunity to to give Josh the night off and and rest uh rest himself up ready for Saturday and Tuesday um but we’re going we’re taking it really seriously Josh like we want to win um we haven’t won enough games of football of late for my liking um so uh so we want to win tomorrow night and and to do that we’re going to be have to be right at it because I’m sure they’re going to want to win the game of football so we’re going very strong and just a reminder to fans here that on the 20th of January um there is a fans for him as well so if there’s any questions that we didn’t answer with lers today and pop on down and have a chat with him there but anyway cheers lers what up
