good afternoon from hamen Park where Celtic take on Rangers this afternoon where the first silver Weare of the season will be decided a week before Christmas I’m joined here by Peter Martin and Allison McConnell as we look ahead to the game this afternoon Peter if we start off with Celtic coming into this in Fairly good form although that result in Zagreb maybe a little bit of a bump in the road how do you see they lining up this afternoon well as ever I think they’ll be looking to try and dominate the Midfield I think Kum McGregor’s a key to it all he keeps everything following from back to Middle to front and then of course kyogo can be the scourge of Rangers on many occasion he scored eight goals Celtic are clear favorites in this one Rangers have to work out a way to try and thwart a manager who’s got that Indian sign over them because it’s only uh one defeat I think in 19 in his two stints as manager Brandon Rogers knows exactly what it takes uh to defeat Rangers Philip Clon has to come up with something other than the way they played against Tottenham he has to work out a way to thwart Celtics Midfield and make sure that when they get those opportunities up front that they take them but Celtic for me are strong on the 11 and strong on the bench Allison if we look at the holders Rangers as Peter said there is it going to be the Midfield where this game is win and loss Nicholas Rasin looking so good in the last few weeks how important will that area of the park be I think it’s vital I think the middle of the park is pivotal to how this game plays out and I think that’s where it’s been win and lost across recent campaigns and across recent meetings between the teams I think K McGregor has pulled the strings I think he’s dictated play I think he’s been the difference I think Rangers Midfield at times has been overrun in this game so I think guys like Rasin will be so important you’ve seen him emerge across recent weeks to be particularly influential for Rangers but this is a game where it counts this is a game where reputations are made where big players need to stand up they need to deliver and I think Philip clemont doesn’t have a win over Celtic in any level yet he badly needs one and how rangers could do with it today Peter the small matter of 118 trophies for each side the fact that I’m sure no one will mention before kickoff this afternoon how do you see this one panning out and who do you see coming out on top this afternoon well I think as everybody says a month ago you’d have thought Celtic were going to roller coaster this one and just enjoy celebrating at hon now Rangers good forum players coming back from injury uh and a a support that actually has a belief that this one is going to be tighter if it’s going to be decided I think we could go to extra time it might be a goal I hope the referee and VAR doesn’t spoil it I still think Celtic will Led You by a goal Allison the same question how do you see this one going this afternoon again I think it’ll be very tight I don’t think there’ll be much between the teams I do think that Celtic have the greater depth in Squad I think they have players who can come off the bench and change a game I think if you were analyzing both squads I think there are very few players that you take from the Rangers team that would go in to Celtics start in 11 I think the evidence a body of evidence across recent months all points to a Celtic win however it’s a cup final it’s a one-off game it can be an aberation you can get a a a a result that you don’t expect but I think for that to happen I think Rangers need to be the best they’ve been all season and you need Celtic to be poor and they might just need a bit of luck as well so there we have it that’s what we pundits think going into this afternoon give us your opinion in the comments below how do you see this one going will it be Rangers or to hold on to that League Cup or will it be Celtic to win the first silverware of the Season all kicks off here at half three and we’ll be there to cover it [Music]
