no prizes for guessing where this cuq Ball’s going it doesn’t take a genius to work out what was going on there it’s the 90° rule I’ve set it back up here Q ball it’s in line with the eightball where it needs to strike it to pot it into the corner pocket and providing the QQ ball hits that point with a stun shot we know the cuq balls are going to come off in a 90° angle roughly um to the line and towards the corner pocket there and that’s exactly what happened and it’s Common Sense however we can have control over this line to make it move more this way and even more this way as well and it just takes a little bit of practice and a little bit of knowledge and that’s what we’re going to do in this quick video to show you how to control that so what can we do about it well this time set the shot back up again I’m going to take the eight ball into that corner pocket over there there but I’m going to take the speed out of the cuq ball and taking the speed out of the cuq ball is one of the ways you’re going to be able to adjust that natural tangent line and what it’s going to do it’s going to make the cuq ball come into this rail here and try to avoid the scratch into that corner pocket so let’s give it a go so I’m just going to strike Center but you can you can see by taking the speed out of the cuq ball it’s made the CUB line change from that natural tangent and know one of the secrets to this shot when I’m saying take the speed out of the cuq ball if you really want to narrow the angle down as much as possible you need to play the shot pocket speed now what we mean by that it’s just hitting the well the eightball in this case just hard enough for it to drop into that corner pocket so what else can we do about it then guys well this time I’m going to play it with some draw and what that that’s going to do it’s actually going to make the cube Wall come into the side rail here and miss the scratch in the corner so again let’s over go that and there you go now I I probably hit that a little bit harder than what I needed to if I have played it softer the cuq would have had time to have more drawer on it before it hit the rail and it probably would have hit it a little bit higher up there that’s another way you can change that angle so once you got the hang of it guys you can bring it into your positional play in your normal game and this is a good example so eight ball I’m on Stripes opponents on on spots solids I need to pop the 13 ball to stay on the eight ball now we’ve got all them spots or solids in the way there blocking the natural angle to come off the rail back across now again using that 90° tangent if I play that QQ ball into the 13 obviously the cuq ball’s going to come off this way and and probably back back off the rail towards this way here providing it was a kind of stun shot so again I’m just going to take the speed out of the Cubo I’m going to play it pocket speed just hard enough to pop the 13 but I’m going to play it with some low running English now what that’s going to do it’s going to actually hit the rail the QQ ball it’s going to narrow that angle down of the natural tangent line and it’s actually going to make the QQ Ball come off the rail towards the bottom rail and lead me on the eight ball so just watch this I’m taking the speed right out of the cuq ball so just by taking that speed out of the cuq ball you can see it will make a difference to the positional Parts you play in your game so guys give it a try if you like this video as always drop us a like And subscribe look out for our live streams we’ve got a lot more of them coming soon and practice your game will go to the next level
