would love his cyber truck honestly that’s not all she’d love whoa Purdue NC State we’re back uh hope you missed us we certainly missed you Purdue fans and guess what we’ve arrived just at the perfect time to talk about Purdue playing good opponents Goods relative I don’t know how good NC State is but this is a team that’s not a cupcake from a major conference that we at least need to actually prepare a little bit for and I am excited if you can’t tell I’m rejuvenated there’s a spunk in my step today Elliott what are you looking forward to in this Purdue NC State game a spunk and step is crazy um I I’ll let that I’ll let that be known um no this is a it’s a very different look NC State team they lost a lot from last year’s team obviously that made that run um so the the metrics tell you that NC State is not a cupcake right is that the metrics tell me that NC State is one of those mini muffins okay well let me tell you this cart pom style it’s a cupcake I think n State’s bad yeah okay yeah I mean maybe like a like a dingdong one of those like do you consider like the hostess like a ho ho like is that a cupcake no that’s that’s like a mint that’s like yeah yeah okay it’s a Hostess it’s a yeah that’s what it’s a Twinkie that’s what NC State is this year I think um makes sense yeah they’re they’re like a high major team that went to the final four that lost almost everything that made them special in that final four run and uh still is in a major conference so we have to act like there’s some substantial stuff here I don’t think this team’s bad for what it’s worth like I feel like we’re kind of coming across as if we are saying they’re bad they’re not bad they’re just uh they’re just iffy that’s the word on it like there’s not really a player on NC State that I’m super afraid of there’s not really anything profile wise that they do particularly well uh they do have a couple like former transfers that matter Marcus Hill was really really good at Bowling Green last year he’s been solid for NC State if not good Brandon Huntley Hatfield went to Tennessee then Louisville then NC State he’s kind of one of those jumpers that there just something that doesn’t fully click dant Styles North Carolina to Georgetown to NC State those three guys are in the starting lineup and then they surround Jaden Taylor and Michael okon who were on the final four team last year so I don’t know like it’s it’s nice enough Personnel but I don’t know what they do like what’s their identity that uh is supposed to like scare a team like Purdue here that well that’s why I feel I guess confident in Purdue because I don’t know what that I don’t know their team makeup and profile necessarily makes it um makes it tough for them that’s the thing and um you know there was a great run they had last year NC State um Kevin Keith saved his job too like that he saved his job with that run I don’t necessarily consider him just like a uh a great not to disrespect his his crap but like you know some great coach that is going to be able to schem game plan his way to a victory and I think you have to have a little bit of that when playing Purdue um so I think it’s a favorable match up for Purdue Purdue is the better team uh I think there should be a a good level of confidence um that Purdue wins this game probably easily you think so yeah I do think so yeah okay yeah I um I think so too I think so too for what’s worth the only thing profile wise that stands out of like oh that’s interesting two things number one Purdue is Elite at shooting threes that’s the number one thing they want to do we know that NC state has been a lead at defending three-point makes they’re holding opponents to 22% from three that is third in the country defensively uh I would attribute most of that to the teams they have played and not to something they’re doing particularly well last year’s three-point defense for NC State was just fine it was average a couple years ago under Keats they were 298 in the country so sometimes WEA not teams make the threes they take on you is a little fluky my interpretation of NC State being the third best three-point percentage defense in the country is that it’s been a little fluky the thing that’s not fluky is this NC State scores inside that’s what they do they don’t shoot a lot of Threes they don’t make a lot of Threes 349th And three-point attempt rate 305th and three-point percentage they don’t want to shoot threes andc wants to score inside where they’re very good inside they 60% from the floor from two-point range that’s 27th in the country card Purdue we know this but it’s been like five straight games Purdue has been outscored in two-point range so Purdue doesn’t have a shot blocker the highest block rate on this team right now is 3% like there’s no Rim protection this is a game where NC State offensively should be able to do what they want and that would probably keep them in a game unless Purdue is shooting lights out from three I would like to throw data out petition to ignore the data petition to ignore the data they haven’t played a top 200 team yet okay are we ignoring are we ignoring puru data or are we just ignoring NC States data NC States data so puru data we can conclude produ not good at rent protection yes can’t we just look at NC State’s Personnel though say like they’re going to score inside like the players on this team tell me they have guys that can score inside Huntley half field can do that I guess yes okay I I’ll allow that more so than data against 200 level kmom teams okay like I just I look at Huntley half field and styles those are guys that are are going to score inside we’ve seen them do that at other schools like so yeah maybe I don’t care like what the percentage is over the course of the season but personnel-wise they got some guys that’ll score in this game yeah it it it’s one that the thing is though even if they do score inside I don’t think that’ll be enough um I also be interested to see like what Purdue does guard in the post yeah given that they given that they don’t really have that shot boing presence and given that you know they’re kind of at a spot where you you know you got to maybe throw some different things out there maybe some some hard digs some D maybe maybe even double teams I I don’t know uh not even like double teams as far as like they have just some great post player but just double teams just to throw off what they do yeah Purdue’s new starting lineup is here is it here to stay brayen Smith Fletcher lawyer miles culvin cam Heidi Trey Hoffman Ren you think we’re gonna see that in this game I think it’s here to stay we’re gonna see that all season long I think so yes I hope so I believe in that yeah I think so does this feel like a final four rematch no absolutely not is there any juice to this game other than the juice we’re trying to manufacture no do you like juice more of a water guy to be honest okay can I get that’s shocking honestly can I uh all right can I get some bold predictions what uh give me like three bold predictions for this game uh I’m going to go I’m go really bold here cam Heidi leading score in this basketball game whoa with two highlight dunks okay a CJ Cox 70 run nice braad Smith technical file okay wow what’s the context for that I don’t feel comfortable explaining okay interesting uh here’s three bull predictions for this game bull prediction number one Purdue gets down 10 nothing and very quickly reignites the uh lineup debate what what’s your what’s your first tweet after they go down 10 I’m I’m not tweeting I don’t tweet anymore but there’s gonna be yeah I’m gonna send you some tweets from others that are like and produce small ball lineup gives up a 100 run uh I think that that’s my prediction like all shots at The Rim nothing Purdue can do and Purdue goes cold from three uh second prediction Braden Smith [ __ ] to him bounceback performance he had zero points last game I think we get 20 from Braden this game and some [ __ ] talking like Michael oconnell you can’t f with me stuff uh and then third Purdue wins this game by 15 points oh okay I like those down 10 end up winning by 15 end up shooting the lights out in the second half that’s my bold prediction uh per the dimer line let’s check check that out
