Matt painer congrats to Trey Kaufman Ren who is the Superstar in this one 25 points 13 rebounds three assists Braden Smith played all 40 minutes 18 points 11 assists six rebounds just a stellar performance from him at halftime both Braden and tkr were on triple double watch it got me looking up if any program has has ever had two triple doubles in the same game and quick research return says nobody’s ever done that they didn’t come close to doing it cuz they stopped doubling tkr in this game but uh I’m kind of keeping an eye on that I feel like there’s a world where tkr and Braden could both get a triple double in the same game before their careers end uh miles koven 20 points he made so many huge plays in this one headlined by the game-winning put back attempt Braden misses a a fade away from the corner miles coven is right there for the offensive rebound puts it back Purdue wins uh ol miss a good basketball team they’re 41st on kmom after this loss six and one on the season but I was impressed I was pretty damn impressed with how old Miss responded I thought Purdue could have ran away with this game early and instead you saw old Miss’s maturity their toughness kind of shine through for them to storm back in the second half all in all a really entertaining basketball game and a pretty impressive resume win for Purdue what do you make of it yeah very impressive basketball game given the the the es and flows of the game because like you said there was a moment where Purdue could have broke away I thought Old Miss was very laad disal in the defensive end in losing the losing the uh boiler makers players which led to you know them getting a lot of good shots and they they went on a massive run there in the first half but old miss having the veteran players that they have they kind of have that we used to love the that Penn State team like two years ago where they just kept hitting hitting and hitting Old Miss kind of has a little bit of that how they just have a bunch of guys that just won’t go away and I think that’s credit to beard and his staff and what he’s done with this team and what he’s put together um but they they just did not go away and they they almost won this basketball game they did go up about seven points there late but um Braden Smith tkr miles koven Fletcher those guys were able to make enough plays down the stretch to uh to get him over the get him over the finish line and Miles kovin was so good in this game he was incredible uh he was everywhere on the floor on both ends uh he was active I I honestly thought he would have more than two steals than he he has in the box score in this game because I thought he was everywhere and they needed every bit of those 20 points because outside of you know the three guys that always produce right Fletcher 13 Braden 18 tkr 25 cam Heidi has two points in his basketball game car Harris doesn’t score CJ Cox doesn’t score Caleb first has two points um they needed all 20 for Miles kovin obviously and again they went by two points and he he stepped up he had that he had 20 and 24 minutes too by the way thought he could have played a little bit more in this basketball game given how some of the other guards are playing but um a kind of a gutty performance by Purdue to not let it slip away and win this basketball game yeah so I uh I think we know who Purdue is officially like we have a locked in identity for the rest of the season after this this little two-day run and I both really like it and am pretty frustrated by it can I guess what it is yeah do we do we want to do this now or do we want to do this later in the video because I feel like I don’t want to just break the fourth wall on this yet I want there’s enough good stuff that happened to this game I don’t want to like ruin all right let’s wait let’s wait let’s wait okay let’s wait for the end of the video for this but I I have a clear understanding of who Purdue is and it’s both good and bad we’ll get to it um yeah culvin I feel like this was like this was a much needed moment for Miles I I think um not just from like a a feel-good standpoint but kind of like to me like you’ve sort of earned having a moment like this like not to overd dramatize it but I I thought he really paid his dues and waited last year on a championship team that went to the title game like you know we we wrongly at the time I remember we did a body language conversation about him last year and sort of did some speculating of like hey is he going to wait forever and we thought he deserved a few more minutes at times last year and he didn’t get him and all the kid did was put his head down write children’s books and work and now here he is like even to start this season not sort of getting the spot that I felt he deserved waiting and then a month in you’re hitting a game winner going for 20 like I I just it’s got to be a feel-good moment for him uh he looked like he was playing really free he’s also showing some things on the basketball court I don’t think we’ve ever seen even in the good miles culvin moments like he he is putting the ball on the floor a little bit he’s kind of doing some stuff in transition with the basketball that I didn’t know he could do he’s had some really nice finishes I’m just buying him as like a really good player at the Big 10 level right now and I wouldn’t have said that two weeks ago yeah I even think he’s taking massive steps defensively hu like he’s been a guy who’s like for someone who had like this Mo like he’s not playing because he can’t play defense I think he accepted that challenge and I’m not saying he’s a lock down Defender by means but like it is visibly not it like you it is visibly noticeable that he is putting forth I guess more attention to detail on that end and more effort on that end of the floor than he did last year which is which is massive for Purdue which should lead to more miles cold than minutes yeah yeah I agree uh it was a quiet week for Fletcher 13 points in this game three for five from three I’m not going to act like that was quiet that was a good game but uh his last three games going back to the martial game six points 10 points 13 points 13’s his third lowest of the season so those are his three lowest performances of the year um are you happy with where Fletch is at right now do you feel like he needs to do more for this team when ol Miss was making a run to me it kind of felt like like Braden and tkr were playing so well was like who’s the third guy that’s going to come save the day and I kept wanting it to be Fletch yeah I thought Fletch could have uh been a little bit more aggressive as far as looking for his own shot um there were some moments in that second half where he was doing the the flesh thing like looking for looking for fouls kind of like you know just thought he could have just did what he’s done all year be aggressive shoot the basketball and you know make the right play um I do think that you do need to be careful you don’t want Fletch to fall into like this type of role like this team needs Fletcher to be aggressive like seven shots for Fletch isn’t enough I understand it got it done in this game and Miles coin was really good but but you need to me the best version of Purdue is Braden Smith and Fletcher lawyer being the best back court on the floor every single night and we know Braden has that ability and I know Fletch has that ability too um I think they you know you you want both of them playing at a very very high level and Fletch was good this game don’t get me wrong okay I thought he could have been better yeah yeah don’t be fletchy Fiddler right don’t don’t be fletchy foul baat go go be Fletch the bucket that’s what this team needs uh yeah I don’t know I he was just quiet but if quiet is 13 points and three threes like I think Purdue will take that but I want loud Fletcher again we need to get back to that um speaking of quiet cam Heidi uh coming off of the cam Rising game where I said that cam hiding is dead uh he goes for two points in 33 minutes in this one only two shot attempts missed his two threes five rebounds he had the special block we should talk about the block but like I think uh the the biggest shift in this rotation for Purdue which seems Locked In Forever is that even when cam Heidi’s not great he’s now playing 33 minutes and he played 35 minutes in the game he played great the game before this but man he didn’t play more than 23 minutes in their first six games of the Season he was only at 22 of the first six so it seems like the the shift the coaching staff has decided on is we’re going to play Heidi like the whole game at the four which I really like I think that’s what’s good for this team but um also like kind of shows you this could be a weak spot for Purdue like on nights the cam Heidi’s not contributing there’s not really a backup plan anymore yeah well that that’s that’s the thing now that the rotation I think has been solidified and I think it could be even tweaked a little bit more like I said I miles koven should have got more than 24 minutes in this basketball game in my opinion um there needs to be a little bit more of a middle with guys like cam Heidi and Miles kovin like I understand that they’re performing well at a high level right now but you can’t go from last game’s performance to two points in this game in 33 minutes right like you got to give you gotta give you got to be able to give a little bit more than that you have the ability to give more than that now it didn’t it didn’t matter obviously because you won the basketball game and tkr and Braden and Fletch and miles are really really good but I think given the makeup of this team kind of how the rotation is playing out like they this this team has five guys and they need all five of those guys to play well to get to where they want to go so you can’t really afford a cam Heidi game like you could in this one and it got you a win yes but bigger picture you need you need something more from cam Heidi in 33 minutes yeah you’re uh you’re hitting on some of my identity stuff that we’ll do at the end of this um I think you’re right I think the the goal with culvin and Heidi right now should be to find a way where every game you know what you’re getting from both of them and right now I feel like Heidi will either pop off and be crazy or be silent and cvin will have a random 20-point game and then some some very silent games like I would rather like if we’ve seen a great performance from both of them I’d rather just get consistent good than like great one game quiet the next two great the fourth game the next two and I think they’re capable of that and I think that will come with more minutes to be honest like now that these two are really taking on a every game role I think we’re going to see that happen um cam Heidi’s block I knew the Purdue social media team would start doing some cool stuff with this did you see they did uh like a graphic on the the physics behind the cam Heidi block I you know what just never change Purdue please never so good like a highlight re block and they’re like we need the exact Heights and dimensions of that what the decb of the Arena when he did that block what was the spin rate of the ball um yeah I mean crazy block though block block was nasty insane and they don’t have any Rim protection so like it’s a good reminder that cam Heidi can do that and probably needs to start contributing as a shop Locker more on this team yeah I mean he he has the athleticism to do so yeah for sure uh covin also had a crazy block those two I mean they’re freak athletes like I said let’s just find some ways to get more consistency out of them I don’t know how we made it this far without starting with what we should start with every time Purdue is good and wins a game I I know what you’re missing Braden oh what’ you think I was gonna do nothing I we should always lead with this to me when this happens Braden was aggressive and I adored it I love it I love hunting his own shot Braden Smith uh he hit four four threes in the first half we got the ice in the veins point at the wrist celebration again we had just like a confident ass I own you Braden Smith and that’s when Purdue jumps out to a 10-point lead on good teams uh it was just good to see we’ve talked about how he couldn’t hit a shot the last couple games and we weren’t worried about it it was just cold shooting guess what he’s not going to shoot cold for long this is the best point guard in the country and he was hunting in this one yeah a message to Old Mississippi Rebels here um don’t help off that man that was so disrespectful that you were doubling off of him and that’s and that’s that’s what you get you ask for that um and and you got it in full form uh obviously we love seeing this Bron Smith he has the ability to do this um you know the the games where he takes three shots and has like 13 assists and you know eight and four those are those are very those are cute I love those those are good but like this is what but this is like this is the version of Braden that I think can it it can be every single game and I understand that it can be different guys every game um and because of his passing ability and like him being this floor General there is some games where he takes a step back I I don’t want games where he takes a step back I want only forward Steps From Mr Smith I think he’s the best like he’s he’s the guy once again my dog tkr I know we’re talking about Braden my dog tkr is gonna get his no matter what the the career Arc that myself and tkr having I think is just I am genuinely realizing that tkr might be one of my favorite Big 10 bigs of all time because he is the full realization of like the per 40 bigs I love actually playing like 40 minutes like when it’s in every single 36 minutes of TK’s time in his head he’s like oh it’s it’s Kaufman Ren time and I kind of love that he uh he’s a fully realized Malik renew he’s what you thought Malik renew us yeah yeah yeah yeah and we I think in the offseason we compared him to a poor man’s Malik Renu he’s not he’s he’s Malik Renu if Malik Renu was good in playing for painter he’s he is 68 below the rim tjd I don’t like that with a super with a Super Trooper haircut I saw you do that and I don’t like that why because tjd did so many things tkr cannot do like what T tjd was an elite shot blocker Elite passer and I know tkr that’s because tkr 68 tkr can pass a little maybe more than a little tkr is one of the worst that’s why he’s 68 below the rim I was still trying to do like the gas up Braiden thing why do I have to to my sorry Sor I just want to say I adore Braden Smith okay that’s all I want to say and in the off season we uh I one of the big narratives this offseason was like o is he gonna break cashes Winston’s record guess what he’s gonna shatter it barring like knock on wood as long as that kid stays healthy this kid is gonna shatter the Big 10 assist record not even close he goes for 10 a game as a junior cashes wasn’t doing that people said that he was an Edy assist Merchant cart his assists have gone up without Zack Ed while his scoring has gone up the kids a freak I adore him it’s awesome I do have one Braden Smith not not concern but maybe a question uh so we we knew exactly what shot was coming when this was a tie game with 10 seconds left right yeah I’m just I the only difference is I thought it was coming from the elbow he loves that Baseline fade and I I love it too it’s very aesthetically pleasing if that would have gone in it would have fed families uh I stood up when he hit his 4-3 I stood up and told Grandma to make me a a double so like there was there was a celebration in my household but his midies are his worst shot where did Robbie hmel at the final four um he it’s a good shot still don’t get me wrong but like from what I’ve seen this year I Braden is pretty good at finishing at The Rim when he gets there I think he’s pretty damnn good at like pullup threes and Rhythm when he has to like really force a fade away I’m a little less confident in it I’m always confident in Braden at all times but I don’t know like I didn’t you know like a super Fade Away was coming and I just for whatever reason I wasn’t that confident in it it’s a tough shot so T take this walk with me Gregory because I had this same thing we had this discussion with Robbie humble at the final four yeah so it’s not the Fatal away because I think he Fades away sometimes given that he is he is a undersized point guard so there is a little bit of like a I I want to fade away when I’m in that mid-range to maybe even give myself an inch of space it’s he needs to fade away but also be on balance at the same time he has a tendency to be off balance on those fadeaways sometimes and I think that was kind of evident on that last one um also knew where his head was at because he knew that the Baseline photographers at the other end we’re gonna get that fade Baseline snapshot and that would have went crazy on the Thanksgiving grateful dump that he’s gonna drop on IG like mid mid like cyber truck and then like photo of Fletcher lawyer at some San Diego in and out like he just has like a a baseline fade picture would have went crazy I understand the Aesthetics of it yeah he beard looks great by the way look I’m I’m not upset at anything Braden Smith does I want to make that clear that goes for forever like I if I if I need to get upset about something Bren does I’ll let y’all know don’t think that’s ever going to happen but as somebody who is rooting strongly for Braden like I love the kid I want to figure out like the goto shot a little more than these really tough fadeaways right because I think we’re also trying to step back broadly and kind of assess like hey before the Old Miss game almost every other game this season teams have outscored them from two-point range didn’t happen in this game that’s a credit to tkr and others but like throughout the course of the Season most teams are feasting at The Rim produced twoo percentage hasn’t been good to me if we’re trying to diagnose why it’s probably because they take a lot of really tough twos and when I say they I mostly just mean Braden right like Braden’s a three-level scorer but one of the levels is a lot harder than the other two to me and sometimes I feel like that’s the one he gets most comfortable in and in a tie game I think that’s the one he’s going to go to right kind of just like let me dice you up and hit a tough one I think he can get easier ones in big moments though than a tough one that’s my read yeah the only thing I would say is he isn’t like he can finish at The Rim but it seems when he goes to the rim he looks to pass more than score so I’m okay with the midi yeah yeah I hear it I hear it would you rather have that shot like premeditated I’m taking a baseline midi or would you rather just have like a pure pick and roll read the play from Braden with the game on the line but if I ask him to read the play is he gonna read it and pass it it it he’ll do whatever’s open to me because maybe I’m wrong I think he premeditated I’m I’m taking this I’m fine with that I’m fine with I love that because I’ll tell you what wouldn’t have worked for me a skip pass to cam Heidi wouldn’t have worked for me respectfully well and The Possession before this they trap Braden he kicks to Fletcher and Fletcher ends up kind of turning it over there was the no call foul so yeah I don’t know maybe maybe this is the best endgame offense Purdue has I just I don’t know some something to monitor because bradden can hit that shot I was expecting him to hit that shot shout out to Miles C for being there it’s a really tough shot though it’s a really tough shot great air ball great awesome airball awesome airball could landed anywhere cam Heidi quickly on the season uh 55% from three this is after last year he shot 45% from three and everybody was kind of like well it was a small sample size he won’t do that again he’s shooting 55% from three he needs to shoot more threes that’s my takeaway shooting 55% from three is unacceptable that means you’re not shooting enough threes yeah especially when like you have you have guys out there making making shots for you he did a little bit of the cam hiding thing to this game like passing up the kick like when tkr kicks it out to you when Bray kcks out to you shoot the rock you are you are shooting like Greg said 55% from three shoot the ball he’s 83% from the free throw line I genuinely believe this dude’s just one of the best Shooters in the country so like get him up man like I I need to start seeing like six attempts a game from Heidi from three especially if he’s gonna play 35 minutes uh back to tkr we had a big dialogue before this game about tkr and in the Discord as well um my stance has largely been tkr is really good he’s been playing great this season he’s not the best big in the Big 10 Purdue fans need to chill when talking about him like that he’s one of them I’m totally fine with his name in the conversation I’m not fine saying this is the best big in the Big 10 um I think there are still a lot of bigs you could put in Purdue’s offense in a 35 minute role playing with Braden Smith that could do what tkr is doing now credit to him for doing it but that’s sort of where I’m at I think I even said the words before this game word for word uh tkr couldn’t give you 25 and 14 because that that’s what Danny wolf had just done I was like tkr doesn’t rebound like that uh then tkr spits in my face and gives me 25 points 13 rebounds three assists so clearly I need to reevaluate what he can do but also respectfully this is the first time tkr has ever rebounded like this I mean go through the game logs he’s had like I think his high this season was nine before this he’s had a couple games with eight he’s had a couple games with three rebounds in 30 minutes so like if tkr is gonna rebound like this I think that elevates Purdue in a huge way and certainly puts him in the conversation of all big 10 in a way that I wasn’t putting him in but to me this felt like a little bit of an anomaly performance like he has not been a good rebounder this season in my opinion he’s been an average rebounder and he’s not a shot Blocker still card he has one block on the season he has zero blocks in his last seven games combined good tkr you can’t be the first team all big 10 Center best big in the conference and be a liability at protecting the rim like that’s there’s a massive negative side to his game no matter how good he is offensively he like produce Rim protection numbers stink because their Center is a negative so that that’s why by the way that’s why your coach didn’t want to do this as much as we were screaming about it like he didn’t want to play tkr the five because tkr cannot guard the rim at all so in this game he was Stellar the offensive numbers are crazy do I need to re-evaluate my my stance on tkr and where he’s at with the rest of the conference yeah because I still think even given the the concerns that you have defensively which are fair um I think the other best bigs in the conference is have con other best bigs in the conference have concerns as well like there’s no Flawless big in the conference um or are we calling Danny wolf a Flawless big no of course not Danny wolf has a massive flaw his turnovers um I mean I just I think Owen Freeman yeah I mean I’m with I’m I’m with you I I’m not trying to come on here and be like Oh tkr is the best big in the conference but I’m listening I wasn’t listening before I will listen I am willing to listen after this game too I think TK’s numbers put him right in the same mix with Owen Freeman with Derek queen with the the guys I actually believe are the best pigs with who Derek Queen yeah okay and look T has been better than like Indiana’s pigs like that that’s a win for you we called Indiana’s front Court the best front Court in the sport so like that’s a Miss but I just I don’t like doing the thing where like we immediately jump like after one really good game to like he’s the best he’s probably not the best he’s one of the best but like the best center in this league doesn’t be a liability at Rim protection that’s it doesn’t it doesn’t add up and I’m happy he played great in this game I think he’s gonna be on an all big 10 team for sure but if Purdue gets both Braden Smith and tkr on the first team all big 10 team like doesn’t that mean they win the Big 10 by like four games like yeah you’re not getting two guys on the top five players out of 18 teams unless Purdue is like significantly better than we expect him to be in conference yeah I mean and ow and Freeman’s been really good this year yeah they have very similar numbers but like Owen Freeman can block shots yeah Owen Freeman’s doing it Owen is only playing 25 like they keep playing bums that’s the thing yeah but I will say tkr is optimized he’s looking way better since we put him another the five has tkr like he saw some doubles early and he made the right kicks but like you you didn’t have to double him when willberg was standing out there you know which leads to our final thing uh okay okay okay identity on Purdue I think we know who this team is now and I love it I love it on one hand because this is the identity I wanted I tweeted about it this this was my vision for Purdue this Summer that I fell in love with tkr at the five Braden at the one you just let those two superstars play off each other if they double tkr you kick the shooters if they don’t double tkr tkr eats everybody for lunch one-on-one Braden Smith picks his spots you’ve got Shooters everywhere it’s the most fun offense they got out and ran in this game in the first half that was like fully optimized Purdue offense I adored it and then at the same time on a game where Braden gave you a double double hit four threes in the first half and tkr gave you the best performance of his career and Miles covin gave you 20 I mean you got Legacy games from Three Guys cart and you were still down seven with four minutes to play to a team outside the kenpom top 40 why did that happen I can tell you why that happened it can happen because uh you got it combined 32 minutes from your entire bench those 32 minutes what did you get you you got two points you got four rebounds in 32 minutes from your entire bench CJ Cox if I were in Alabama fan I would still be pissed he gave you a five trillion he’s been doing that pretty much every time he’s checked in the game for two weeks uh Jakari Harris 15 minutes 0 for four from three and a foul you didn’t get a stat from Jakari Harris and CJ Cox other than a foul in 20 combined minutes I mean I I get the hashtag I get we like these guys for the future three years down the line I’m excited about what Jakari and CJ will be my issue was banking on these guys for huge roles is a disservice to the two guys that just gave you Stellar games like Braden and tkr need more help they still need more help they still need more help cart like to be a final 14 be a national championship team this team needs more help and it doesn’t have more help because you brought in the fiveman freshman class and said no we’re GNA Bank on these guys they’re not ready at all and I I want them to keep getting chances on this team they have to get more chances but they could have gotten those chances on a team that had the pieces it needs like it wasn’t an either or thing like look at what happened last year cart Heidi and culvin got their chances and developed while you also had Mason Gillis and Lance Jones like this team is two vets short of what I think it needs to be and it’s two vets short because you didn’t portal replacement you said Jakari Harris is your Lance Jones replacement he’s not ready at all he’s he’s not capable of filling that role and you let Mason Gillis walk to Duke and you supposedly shut the door on Canon Catchings when he wanted to come back and I know this is like the this The Haunting ghosts that Purdue fans don’t want to hear me talk about they just want to hear me talk about the team we just did 30 minutes on the team now let’s talk about why the team was down seven with four minutes left on a night where Braden Smith and tkr gave you A+ performances against a team that’s not a top 40 team in the country it’s because your coach left holes on this roster intentionally so and I would have a really hard time coming to terms with that cart because if I get an A+ performance from Brad and tkr I would think you should be blowing out a team like ol Miss and that didn’t happen partially because ol Miss hit a lot of Threes give him credit but like this it like Purdue is clearly good I think there’s a gap between good and great and I want Purdue to be great and to me the reason Purdue can’t get to Great right now is they man they have five players and even out of those five players cart two of them their coach didn’t start to start the year because he think genuinely this dude started wilberg before Daniel Jacobson got hurt he started willberg after Daniel Jacobson got hurt wilberg doesn’t even take his warm-ups off anymore rally Burgess isn’t playing are we burning a rally Burgess red shirt like I don’t understand what the plan was here at all and and I think we correctly assessed it at the time if you’re going this young it’s going to hurt you and maybe by March we’ll get there but again as somebody who roots for Braden Smith in this team frustrating to say the least that there was no separation from the 41st best team in the country on a night where you got A+ performances because you have total zeros outside of your starting lineup like that’s crazy yeah and like you look at the numbers on the year Jakari Harris is shooting 15% from three shooting 34% from the field and Visually not even looking at the box score he played 15 minutes of basketball that hurt your team it hurt your team so that brings to my next point this whole like Jakari Harris needs 15 minutes to be the secondary ball handler type no no unfortunately respectfully no um just just you are to me you got to lean heavily on the Five Guys just you got unless those guys are in foul trouble or at a point like get them to the rest when you’re playing teams when you’re blowing out but in games like this they need to play these whole game and it’s like you said you pointed out the issues with getting contributions from other guys also like the main guys on this team they they are going to struggle defensively at points so like it there was points in that second half where I mean I believe it was J uh Jamon breakefield came in he got anything he wanted at The Rim because Purdue has nothing at The Rim now um is it sustainable to just have five guys play well all year and just ride that out probably not uh given how maybe inconsistent you you might play you might get from guys like hiding koven now those guys might steady out throughout the whole season but to me this team has five guys right now that are playable are good and that sucks for Purdue’s Outlook big picture because they should have more yeah yeah they have five guys one of them has one block on the season and he your only big man two of them your own coach didn’t believe in enough to start at the beginning of the season over Jakari Harris a freshman and will oh but Greg Greg they they had to earn it they had to earn it in they earn it in they had to earn it in practice I’m done doing the nonsense they earned this [ __ ] last year it never made any sense and we called it out for not making sense Purdue fans torched us and now here we are all realizing it never made any sense okay like let’s just call it what it is um but yeah I just I I and look the big big elephant in the room is if Daniel Jacobson was healthy they have six guys right because Daniel Jacobson showed enough in the very first game of the season that you know he would be playable at minimum he’d be good at minimum right so if you have six guys and the sixth guys is a shot blocker it does fix a lot of what we’re talking about here so in that sense I don’t necessarily even blame pay but paint came into the year saying like Jakari is starting because he’s Lance Jones you should have just gone out and gotten another Lance Jones man like let let Jakari earn his stripes Off the Bench versus giving him a starting role because he kind of looks like Lance Jones like he he’s he’s not there’s a bunch of vets that would have loved to play the Lance Jones role here and we decided we’re anti- portal I don’t really get it there’s a lot of project I’ve talked about like is Jack benter helping Braden Smith get to a final four this year love what he’ll do a couple years from now you got a final four window as long as the kid with the Beards got the ball in his hands does he have enough to get there is my question and I’m really frustrated because I thought Braden was spectacular I thought tkr was perfect and I looked up and they’re down seven with four minutes to go against the eighth best team in the SEC is that where this is going like I’m happy they got the win congratulations on the win the social accounts talking about four straight championships they win a non-conference championship every year I’d like to win some champ championships in March and I think your fans do too I know your point guard does and you’ve got pieces that are good enough to do it but is the puzzle good enough when you add in everything else right now like Jakari and CJ this was a disaster man they didn’t record a stat in 20 minutes cart I get it trust them get let him develop but like I mean I was watching this game and I’m just looking and I’m thinking to myself like what constituted Jakari playing 15 minutes in this basketball game I mean there just some inherent belief in who he is as a player right now wow miles coven’s giving you that yeah right like that I could see if koven wasn’t playing well but he was right it made no sense to me yeah I don’t know and then I mean talk about the big man rotation we we started the year with willberg starting tkr at the four Caleb first and rally Burgess both playing 10 minutes off the bench and now we’ve decided that rally Burgess and wilberg don’t even play Caleb first only gets 12 minutes so outside of TK at the five we’re now only playing 12 minutes for anything else it’s it’s crazy how much this has evolved in two weeks can’t believe people try to yell at us about willberg man yeah I don’t know I don’t know I great great screener like I I still I you said is this sustainable with the starting five it is sustainable brayen tkr Fletcher kvin Heidi will be this good almost every game I think I think that’s who these guys are my issue is are you gon to win these games like they won this one but I again we don’t know how good all Miss’s card it it C it casts the ceiling casts the ceiling car Old Miss beat Grambling State by two points at home I have no idea how good old Miss is like I I was impressed with them in this game but like I don’t think Old Miss would be the favorite to win the Big 10 I don’t think there’s any world Old Miss makes a final four run and that’s it just scares me you needed great performances from your guys to get past Old Miss right and it it wasn’t just like like Old Miss is not a bad shooting team either like them shooting 41% I’m pretty sure is on par with what they shoot from three on the season like that’s they’re not an awful shooting team I did see some commentary out there above oh this is just Old Miss doing something they don’t do no they they they have the ability to do this this this aligns with that um do we have any comment on the fact that Purdue beat Old Miss and Old Miss ran Illinois out of the gym um yeah that’s a data point okay I didn’t I didn’t know if we were acknowledging that or not it’s a data point I the Old Miss blowing out Illinois thing is definitely a data point for me still is but so is will miss almost losing to gramling like we have no idea we have no idea I was impressed with all Miss I thought they were good in this game I thought Purdue was better because you got Superstar performances from your stars but I did not see like final four Futures as a result from this game from either side because like it to me if Purdue can’t separate from Old Miss on a night we’re bring in DKR were Stellar I got questions and that’s it’s so frustrating to me cart we’re sitting here talking about Junior Braden and Fletcher with tkr as a star oh we think he’s a first teamer now I want to believe this team can win a National Championship but like there’s zero there’s a negative bench here like there there is a negative bench here there’s nobody playable here and that’s kind of shocking to me yeah it’s it it’s something that once we get to the end of the season depending on where it ends for there’s going to be some what ifs unfortunately yeah just again coaches make their rosters if your roster has holes in it I would look at what decisions were made in the off season I mean if I’mma do though G just like wouldn’t wouldn’t you like to drop Lance Jones or Mason Gillis on this team yeah I would it would help a lot right but the decision was made before the season I’m not even asking for anything crazy here Mason gills is playing seven minutes at Duke right now like the decision was made before the year Greg I gotta I gotta get over it but I’m not gonna get over it because it breaks my heart man I want to see Braden Smith in two more final fours I don’t want to wait a year to see it again and I’m fearful right now
